Fantastic experience: I highly recommend this driving school! Very professional. The entire process went very smoothly. The customer service lady was very nice each time she communicated with me. We purchased the 2hr lesson/road test for our teen daughter. She said her driving instructor Susan was the best! She spoke very highly of her. She gave her some great pointers and made her feel very comfortable. Thank you guys so much and we look forward to working with you with our other daughter as well in the future!

Negative experience: I just called the company to get some driving lessons so I asked the young lady what would be the additional charge for some extra time behind the wheel and she acted that she was doing me a favor I didn't ask for free I asked what would be the feast very disrespectful not very good company very unprofessional find someone to trained young drivers WORSE DRIVING SCHOOL!!

Negative experience: Certainly do NOT recommend this driving school. Unfortunately the first point of contact (the women who schedules appt) has NO customer service skills, very rude, inpatient when asking questions, and could care less for your business. As a first time parent with a new driver she is definitely not the person you want to speak too. She is very argumentative and it’s her way or no way type mentality. Not pleasant at all, not even a warm greeting when leaving voicemails or answering phones. Not receptive to customer feedback and will debate vs provide service recovery. She accused me of being negative only bc I ask questions regarding the process/scheduling… very unprofessional to speak to customers in this manner. HORRIBLE customer service and I do NOT recommend this school. Spend your money on a school that truly cares for the success of their students vs a school that belittles parents and have NO patience to listen or answer questions. I can’t speak for the instructors but the first point of contact aka the women who answers the phones from day one she hasn’t been pleasant to work with and after today as she stated she will shred my file and Goodbye! Also any company that debates your review meaning respond back with long details trying to defend themselves or company vs providing service recovery is not a place you should want to do business with. The responses to these reviews are very detailed and should be followed up with a phone call to the parent but instead they rather respond providing all your child’s business rather they failed or passed etc. no sense of integrity…Again this place is not receptive to customer feedback they will debate you and short talk you. I have saved voicemails from this business that are not pleasant at all. Maybe they should consider recording and monitoring all calls. My son enrolled in Feb and as a new parent I took full accountability for enrolling him too soon before having more on the road experience. I called to inquire additional lessons and give my experience from previous encounters and instead I was told I’m negative definitely unprofessional to tell a customer. Customers are ALWAYS right, clearly this business doesn’t go by that motto instead they rather debate your reviews .

Negative experience: Customer service is horrible. The lady who answers the phone is running all of the customer away. If all she does is answer questions all day she should be frustrated with answering questions. I will definitely post my expertise on social media because I would not want anyone to waste their money. I tried calling back and she let the voice mail pick up. Do Not send your kid here

Negative experience: The customer service is terrible and they have no consideration of individual's schedules. The receptionist continuously hollered in my ear because I needed to reschedule my son's last driving class. He received two unexcused absences from school and had to miss a 3rd day of school due to the fact that I prepaid for the course and they are not accommodating at all. I understand that my child has a busy schedule being a student athlete as well as working a part time job. I did not expect to be told that my son would have to miss school because the driver will not pick him up from school due to her living in Camden. I had to give the one star in order to complete the review. I would not recommend this agency for a driving school for your child.

Fantastic experience: These folks are kind and timely. They worked around our schedule conflicts, and made sure we had adequate time and training in each of the areas of emphasis needed to be successful. I would certainly recommend their services and plan to use them again in 5 more years for my other Son.

Negative experience: This was the worst experience we have ever had. The instructor arrived 40 mins late. Once the class started things went fine. During the test the "instructor" told my daughter to turn left. She yelled at my child repeatedly. She did what she was told and failed because of it. I would NOT recommend this facility to anyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fantastic experience: Baldwin was the best thing to happen to my driving experience. Reviewing stuff wasn't on my mind back then but I took the class in 2010 at 17. I had Ms. Leisa. She was amazing! Idk if she's still there but she instilled such a confidence in me that remains. I am the driver I am today thanks to her. She was extremely patient and kind. She allowed me to redo anything I felt I needed extra practice on several times. 12 years later, I'd recommend her to anyone. She also taught my gma a year or so later. We both received our license on the first try. Totally worth the money. Thanks again Baldwin!

Fantastic experience: Very good driving school, my instructor was Mitch he explained things very well giving ADHD/ADD inclusive instructions for all tasks. My brother took his driving test through this school and he is neurodivergent with Asperger’s syndrome which also causes him to have muscle weakness in his hands. And fortunately he was able to receive his license through this school after trying for over 10 years with other schools. If you are looking for a patient and inclusive school to send your kids to for the best possibility of not wasting $375 this is your best bet !

Negative experience: At the time I took this class I was 16 I’m now 17 and never went back for my last class/ test. My brother also took this class and had a similar experience. Firstly I do not believe any of my classes took any of the full 2 hours that it was supposed to be. I’ll say they were about an hour and a half but I paid for 2 hours. Not only that my first class my instructor made me stop at tropical smoothie to get smoothie… second class is when I finally started to learn things and at the end he told me I had to schedule another class or I was going to fail my test. Another 100 dollars on top of 300+ dollars I already paid. Not only that he was quite upset that I came with not much experience. I had driven maybe 2 times before the classes and he asked me “why haven’t you been driving” mind you a driving instructor is telling me this. A PERSON THAT IS SUPPOSED TO BE TEACHING ME TO DRIVE. I’m a teenager paying this with my own money and I think this service just played with my money and tried to get more out of me. Also he was on the phone most of the appointment and told me “I’m on my phone so don’t crash this car and kill us both” also he made me take his last client home also taking away from my time to learn

Negative experience: Bad experience from the start. Every time they talked to me, they had an attitude. They let my 15 year old schedule their own times to drive. The driving instructor grabbed the wheel while my child was driving. She was looking at her phone a lot while my child was driving. I will definitely be looking for a different driving school for my other kids!!!

Fantastic experience: I took my driving lessons and test here. The people are amazing and they taught me a lot even when I thought I knew most. Great people and great service. My instructor was Mitch and he was just a great guy he is really passionate about teaching and helped me pass the test. It’s honestly worth it!

Fantastic experience: My experience with Baldwin Driving school was amazing. When I first called it had a hard time getting booked but I understand why. They are the best in my opinion. Mitch is amazing. He gives off great energy and he is really there to make sure you succeed in driving. He is very patient with you. He will give you all the details you need to make sure you pass the text. Miss Susan the lady that tested me was very calm. And they work with you to make sure you succeed. I recommend this school for anyone. Just make sure you have some kind of experience in driving!!! That is needed. If you have basic skills you will pass. They will make sure you pass the test 100/10. If I’m still in Columbia when I have kids they will be coming here.

Negative experience: Would give 1 star. They make you pay extra money on top of the driving lessons to do a 8 hour class that is a waste of time. You watch videos that give no real value and take a test on it at the end. My driver was Mitch. He was late to EVERY LESSON I had. No matter if it was 5 minutes or a hour he was always late. The old lady that answers the phone has a miserable life so she lashes out on people on the phone. She is very rude and needs to be fired. The lessons were a waste of time. I spend at least $600 with them and didn’t learn enough to pass my driving test. Mitch is the WORST TEACHER EVER! He yells at you for any type of mistake. While I’m paying these people for driving lessons, he had me running his errands. We stopped at multiple places for extended amount of time which i am paying for on the road training. Every second I’m with my instructor I should be on the road learning how to drive. Not waiting on 10+ minutes for you to do errands. Waste of time and money

Negative experience: Do not take your children to this school unless you are prepared for them to see videos of motor vehicle accidents in detail. I attended this school in January of this year. I was appalled to have to watch several car crashes such as two men being thrown out of a car and falling onto the ground. I went to the instructor and she seemed to think it was laughable that I did not want to view such content. I asked to stand outside until the portion was over and was told the best she could let me do was stand in the corner and stare at the wall. Her attitude towards it was nowhere near understanding. She scoffed and showed apparent annoyance from my concern. I was convinced that this content was normal and should have been expected as it was "safety training". I did not realize till much later that this was extremely inappropriate and could potentially traumatize a lot of the students. I had to spend the remainder of that class portion with my eyes closed but still hearing screams. Furthermore, she commonly spoke ill of her other students and vented during driving practice. The class portion is also not instructor led at all, students have to watch videos for hours straight. When beginning the class she showed a pretty demeaning behavior. As she told us not to complain about having to watch videos for so long straight because she knows we do that on our phones. It was clear she viewed us as no more than bratty teens before even talking to us. Overall, very unprofessional. The location I went to was on Edmund Hwy. Edmund Community Center. The girl who was my instructor was Cheryl Metts. I hope that they remove the violent content from their course.

Negative experience: I paid $300 plus for driving lessons. After my son received his permit, I tried to obtain information about next steps. Customer service was very very awful. Consistently gave me the "run-a-round" and was very rude. Told me I would have to pay an additional $300 plus for my son to receive lessons for his driver's license. Bad business ethics!

Fantastic experience: This is truly a great school. They are timely and very informative on everything my child needed. Transportation and flexibility was great. Her trainer was Mitch and he was a friendly and excellent instructor. It was great to hear my child get feed back on things she needed to work on prior to test. My child was able to pass the exam.Overall wonderful experience.

Negative experience: Horrible experience, stay far away from this place. They are rude and unprofessional. The only positive thing was we got a partial refund after refusing to have my child return. They refused to give us proof that my child took the class so that he would not need to re-take it elsewhere, they claimed that it was a DMV rule. According to the other driving school we went to, that is a lie. I also know it's a lie because this is my fourth child getting their license (although not with this school) and they always received a certificate upon class completion. First time my child went for a lesson, we paid for 2 hours. The first 45 minutes of the lesson were another child driving themselves home and then my child driving the instructor to a gas station parking lot so she could eat her lunch for 20 minutes. When he was driving she screamed, literally screamed at him and made him a nervous wreck. According to my child, she did the same thing to the prior student. Ridiculous. When I told the owner about it, she denied it happened. How would you know, you weren't there? There are numerous bad reviews here, believe them.

Negative experience: My experience was very bad. Susan is very nasty. I thought that Mitch took her but Susan did. Mitch is kind. My teenager felt some kinda of way. So she was very upset that Susan .It took them forever to give us an appointment.

Negative experience: My teenage daughter paid $370.00 to take the course and test to get her drivers license. She was told she passed the test with Baldwin drivers training. We went to the DMV and they said that she was randomly selected to retake her test because the school is being audited. She failed her test at the DMV. Not once but twice. I called the school about this initially before the second attempt because she felt more comfortable using a car that she had experience with rather than mine that she had never driven before. The school made no attempts to help her further or rectify the situation. For $370 of a child’s hard earned money it seems as though something could have been done. I feel that they may have passed her before she was ready. This is our chief complaint and not so much that she had to retake her test the first time. I do not recommend this school. We wish we had never done it.

Negative experience: I did not have a good experience. The lady rescheduling my teen daughters classes appeared to have an attitude. They initially scheduled her for lessons during her school class times, stating those were the only times available. The receptionist assured me someone called me to schedule the lessons and also that my daughter told her this was her free time. Lies!!! They told her that’s all that was available and she didn’t have a choice. When I discussed this the lady was rude and attempted to overtalk me. Did not attempt to fix the issue. I would definitely feel uncomfortable with my child driving around with them. Awaiting a refund and classroom certificate.

Fantastic experience: Signing my son up with Baldwin was an excellent decision. They were able to teach my son valuable skills that he needed in order to be successful behind the wheel. What a great experience!!

Susan was my instructor and my tester, and she was great at making me feel comfortable in the car while showing me the ropes and preparing me for the realities of the road. I cannot emphasize it enough, she was just so kind and as someone with a lot of anxiety around driving, I couldn't have asked for a better instructor or driving school!

Negative experience: Rude from the get-go, didn't have the patience to explain the package that I hadn't even initially inquired about, and when I asked a question, I was interrupted with a speedy run through, and told "I've been talking to you for 20 years", when the call wasn't even three minutes in. Absolutely pathetic customer service.

Fantastic experience: As most of my knowledge is second hand, (from my kids) I can only tell you what I’ve heard and it’s all excellent. Both my son and daughter were nervous and a little intimidated getting started with the program. My son trained with Susan 4 years before my daughter and I didn’t hesitate on who I was calling when it was her turn. My daughter actually asked to have Susan as her trainer since my son had so many wonderful things to say about his comfort level with her while driving. Both of my children drove confidently from the time they started which has given mom a lot of comfort.

Negative experience: i took my test they will have you go over the test won’t tell you what you need to work on but when you actually take it they want to fail you isn’t that something.

Fantastic experience: That review regarding Mrs. Susan’s behavior is just false. Just because someone is blunt doesn’t make it disrespectful or rude. They want you to pass and want you to do better. That is just blasphemous. How dare you. Shame on you. These three teachers are amazing at what they do. I passed my test and regained confidence. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart .

Negative experience: Mitch was an excellent trainer! However, the tester and owner, Susan, was non-professional and hostile with communication during my daughter’s driving test. Taking the road exam is nerve racking for any person; probably one of the most stressful tests for a young person. My daughter suffers from anxiety which was explained to her during our phone conversations. During the exam she yelled at her creating additional stress. According to my daughter, she made several demeaning remarks about her trainer during the testing, making her feel uncomfortable and second guessing what she was taught. In general, no student will be the same or have the same circumstances, but all students regardless of their circumstances should be treated with respect. At the end of the exam, I was sitting in the parking lot and Susan did not even stop by to communicate with us. Unfortunately, due to severe tremors, as a result of Parkinson’s Disease, I have not been able to instruct my daughter for the past 4 years. I am stressing that all circumstances should be treated with respect. If during a test, a student is doing something dangerous, there’s a brake petal on the testers side and the right to stop the car. My recommendation is to call around for other companies before choosing an older one just because they have been in business a while. Pick a company where everyone employed has respect for others.

Fantastic experience: They are great! They will actually teach what you need to know and help you with areas that you may be weak on. The people there are very friendly and even demonstrate some procedures so you know what to do. Thanks to them I passed on my first try and got my license.

Fantastic experience: I had an absolutely amazing experience. This driver training school really is the best! They know how to make you feel comfortable and show you what it means to be a safe driver. They also go over anything that bothers you about your driving and help you improve. I’ve been learning to drive for a while and they made the process of taking my driver test straightforward and positive. I was able to get my license but this is a review about the way I felt throughout the entire session. I don’t write reviews often but this establishment is worth it! My teacher Cheryl was fantastic and I’ll never forget her kindness.

Fantastic experience: My wife and I recently moved back to South Carolina and I was informed by the DMV that I would need to retake the Skills test. Unfortunately due to covid I was unable to get answers or even a test scheduled with the DMV. Finally I tried Bladwin and Susan walked me through exactly what I needed to do. She was kind truly cared about helping. With that being said, all of my children will be going to Bladwin and if possible learn from Susan. She was literally the only person who would help me, cannot say enough good things.

Fantastic experience: The teaching was immaculate and Ms. Susan really helped me refine my driving skills. You'll learn a lot in the class and be very comfortable and relaxed when you go out driving. All of the office staff are very kind; so you are sending your child into good hands and a great environment.

Fantastic experience: Both my boys took their drivers test through this company. They offered a discount for having a second child, which was unexpected but great! Susan did both my boys test. She made my boys feel as relaxed as possible, given the circumstances. After the test she also told us which DMV's were doing walk-ins so we could get their licenses that same day. I would definitely recommend Baldwin for drivers training or road tests. We will be taking our girls here when that time comes. Thank goodness, it is several years away. Keep up the great work!

Fantastic experience: I have a granddaughter who has been just too scared to drive. Not scared of herself but scared of other drivers. Sending her to this training helped her immensely; and her trainer Cheryl was phenomenal! This was the Edmond location and she came and picked her up and everything. I highly recommend Baldwins to your beginner driver, scared driver and/or driver trying to regain points on their DL.

Fantastic experience: Even through Covid and the new sanitation requirements, Baldwin hit the nail on the head! Susan was my driving instructor and she was awesome! I felt safe through all of my lessons, as well as the full day class. I learned a lot, and their instructions were clear and concise. They called me before all of my lessons and I was even able to get in earlier than expected. Highly suggest!

Fantastic experience: I had never used a driving school before until I used Baldwin. They were very professional and easy going. I did their driver training with the road test. They taught me a lot about driving I did not know, even though I have been driving for 20+. They made me feel comfortable from start to finish and I did well. Negative experience: Do not go here. They only put on a show to get you in. Very rude. The manager herself hung up in my face twice. Very unprofessional. They also do not tell you they do not do refunds. If life happens and anything comes up they keep your money. No reschedule. No class entry. I would not recommend. I did not cancel after my appointment, something came up and I was late to my appointment. About 20 minutes. I was told on the phone they were still setting up the class but yet I was unable to attend a class I paid $80 for. I then got upset when she refused to refund my money, then I began cursing and yelling. Regardless, it is unprofessional to hang up in someone’s face after you took their money.

They don't sugarcoat it but, make sure that you understand it without making you want to run away. I love the program and would definitely reccomend to others!

Negative experience: Tried to call and schedule a road test the lady on the voicemail cursed and lied and said There's no appts available and hung the phone.

Fantastic experience: They are awesome, I highly recommend! My driving instructor Ms. Cheryl was very patient and reassuring during each lesson. She’s very funny as well, which made the lessons less stressful for me lol. I’ve put off trying for my license for a long time, and now I finally have it! Thanks Baldwin!

Fantastic experience: Cheryl was the best!!! She was very patient and helpful, and encouraged me to relax. She gave great tip son controlling the car. like having the toes on the pedal, and heal o the floor. Well worth the expense!!!

Fantastic experience: I love the experience I had with Baldwin driving School,I did the 2hrs behind the wheel training and driving test.I suffer from testing anxiety bad but felt so much comfortable with Mr.Mitch,he provided me with great driving tips for future use and Mrs.Susan was great as well and very patient.I definitely recommend this company to anyone whose looking to obtain their license.

Fantastic experience: Today!! I got my license!!! I will most definitely highly recommend training with them. My driver instructor was Ms. Susan she was the BEST. She’s a very nice person. She also made me feel very comfortable and she taught me everything I needed to know!! I’m very pleased and happy!!!! Negative experience: Baldwin is the WORST! I do not recommend it. The people are rude and condescending to the students.

Positive experience: My driving instructor Mrs. Leisa was amazing. She’s very nice and patient and I can’t wait to finish my classes. However, one of the receptionist ladies is very rude. I talked to her on the phone on two separate occasions and she was very sarcastic and obnoxious during both encounters.
