Jones Driver Education: Reviews
Negative experience: Only giving two stars because our daughter liked the driving instructor. Over all, the business is chaotic. Scheduling doesn't make sense and they were irresponsible, causing a significant delay between the class instruction and driving lessons. They never called us, like our daughter was told, we had to call and getting ahold of someone was like pulling teeth. There is only one person in the front office and her attitude screams, inept at customer service. This is nothing more than a bunch of retired people with nothing better to do
Fantastic experience: I wholly recommend the Basic Motorcycle Safety Course. I took the course 4 months ago, with never to have driven a motorcycle before. Mr. Jose and his assistant were very patient and knowledgeable. Plus, they made it very fun. I wanted to give up a couple times while taking the course, but they encouraged me to complete the course, win, lose, or draw... Now I'm a brand new 50 year old licensed motorcycle driver... Thank you Mr. Jose.
Negative experience: Horrible people that like to spread lies about a poor CHILD that died in a tragic car accident. They have been reported to the BBB several times and are very sexist. I would not feel comfortable sending any child here especially your daughter.
Fantastic experience: The staff here are extremely professional and kind. I am thankful my son was able to take this course and learn how to be a responsible and safe driver.
Negative experience: My son set up driving lessons. When he gets there they only have two vehicles. One is broke down and the other has a bad control module so the acceleration and deceleration didnt function properly. They knew this. They told my son they'd had it in the shop 6 times already. Then the instructor (a man) whose name he cant recall, was incredibly rude and snappish during the lesson. Blamed my son for the car not slowing down properly at the stop lights/signs although it was due to the broken control module. The instructor had little patience and then cut the lesson short. He told my son he is tired. They are short staffed because apparently 2 employees quit the week before. They are also not offering refunds because of people refusing to come back or not showing back up after their first lesson. Def would not recommend them! How do you expect to give proper driving lessons in a vehicle with a broken control module?
Fantastic experience: Jose did a great job with motorcycle education. He increased my knowledge, confidence, and skill while making it fun!
Fantastic experience: We had a great experience at Jones. My son took the week long class in July and has completed his six hours of driving. Everyone we dealt with as from the instructors to the front office staff was pleasant and helpful.
Negative experience: 1st my son caught covid and couldn't start on time. They charged a fee to reschedule him. 2nd my son passed the classroom the Joshua's Law. He didn't do the driving portion with jones. After the completion of the course he had to wait about three weeks to schedule the driving portion. He passed the driving portion at the DMV. Jones refused to give the 30 hour classroom work. My suggestion is to read the contract. Augusta text offer a free course
Negative experience: Called last month to reschedule my class as I was going to be out of town. The lady I spoke to said that the new class schedule for July was not out yet and to call back. Called back 2 weeks later and was informed of the dates. Asked if I was able to get into that class and she said yes. Awesome. Until fast forward to today: She places me on hold when I call back to confirm time of class this weekend. The owner gets on the phone and proceeds to try to read me down about how I didnt do this or call or anything, which was a lie (have phone records to prove it). I asked several times why I was getting attitude which he replied "I wasnt giving you attitude but I am now". He then gives me some story about how he just had surgery and had just walked in the door. Cool thats NOT an excuse to be rude from the GET GO. I hadnt raised my voice, I hadnt used profanity, NOTHING. But THIS PIECE OF WORK decides that I am gonna be his punching bag for the morning? NOPE. Its amazing how someone with such a poor level of customer service and non existent people skills can be in charge of helping people get back to a better place in their lives. I was nothing but respectful in my dealing with Jones DUI up until the owner decided to have a day and make me his target. Go elsewhere for your schooling needs. Somewhere that will actually care about you and not just start raising their voice and cutting you off. From what I am reading in past reviews this isn't "Mr. Jones'" first time having a colorful encounter with a customer. Some people really shouldn't be in front of a counter.
Fantastic experience: My experience with Jose the BRC instructor was amazing! He was extremely patient and funny and made each exercise an enjoyable time. I went from only having a couple minutes on a motorcycle to being able to fly past the skills test with ease. I would absolutely recommend ANYONE to take this course as Jose made everything very easy to understand and execute.
Fantastic experience: Very highly recommend this wonderful school. I took the Basic Rider Course to get my motorcycle license and it was fantastic. I'd never even sat on a motorcycle before, but I was already riding confidently after the first few hours. Many thanks to the incredible instructor Jose Del Valle... he was the absolute best!
Fantastic experience: Just passed the two day MSF/BRC today! Had José as my instructor. It was amazing and I learned alot. He's a great instructor you won't regret it if you mess up (cause I'm new to motorcycles and messed up a few times) he explains what you did wrong and how to fix it and you're good to go, no pressure no stress just relax and do it. I recommend the course. Now I'm able to ride with no issues! You really do go from a beginner to someone who knows what they're doing!
Fantastic experience: Jose was one of the best motorcycle teachers around he was spot and and very personal well worth the money and time. I highly recommend Him
Fantastic experience: Mr. Hendrix is an great teacher and know that there's a method to his madness. Mr. Jones is great too, and a fair grader. He'll tell you what you got wrong so you can fix it the next time. The entire staff was very accommodating to my schedule since I'm in the military and gave me good advice for being a more comfortable driver. Thank you all!
Fantastic experience: Jose was a great motorcycle instructor and made the class fun over the two days. I am a new rider and this course taught me a lot and helped me get better. I would recommend it to anyone.
Fantastic experience: I just finished my MSF course. I am new to riding motorcycles. Jose was our instructor. He explained and demonstrated each exercise. He took the time to talk to us and give advice on how to improve. I believe the whole class would agree the we learn a lot and enjoyed the MSF course
Negative experience: My son went to go get bike classes and the instructor was super rude and unhelpful....my son didnt have any expirence riding a bike he was extremely rude towards him so he didn't go back I would not recommend to anyone to go there.
Negative experience: Today, 10/6/2023 my son pay for his class. My son I'd been talking about this for weeks all exited. He never ride a motorcycle before, 1st time, but the instructor start yelling at front of everyone. At the point that my son went to lunch and not when back. Is really disappointed that and instructor start acting like this and no have the patience to teach, Specialist when someone no have any experience. We pay pretty good amount of money to have good service.
Fantastic experience: I recently went through the MSF course and it was a superb experience learning. Mr. Jose and Duane are super professional and I enjoyed dealing with them.
Fantastic experience: I did a 6hr driving course and loved my experience. I had mr jones as my instructor and became much better and more comfortable behind the wheel by the end.
Fantastic experience: I took a weekend class here, and Billie was my instructor. She is AMAZING! She is incredibly serious about her job, actually listens to shared stories; and isn’t like your average counselor. Mr Jones and front desk were welcoming, great attitude, and helpful. Very clean office and classrooms. I very much recommend this business!
Negative experience: if i could give this place negative stars i would. i've never had such a terrible experience in my life. i tried to get my son registered for drivers ed classes and mention to the staff that my son was on the autism spectrum very high functioning( you wouldnt know unless you were told) i felt this was valid information to give so if he needs a couple extra minutes it would be okay. i was told by the man running this buisness that he doesnt " have time " to help my son. he told me he will not help allow my son to take the class because he is autistic. As much as i tried to explain to the man that my son is a straight A student the man did not want to hear what i bad to say. I have never had this experience in my life. THIS IS DISCRIMINATION! This place is disgusting i would never recommend this to anyone. To be turned away like that is disgusting
Negative experience: Overall, the in class driving school was ok and my daughter enjoyed the 6 hours of behind the wheel training. Mr Hendricks seemed to be a very good driving instructor who provided very good feedback on performance. The road test is were this school receives the F. About the only good thing was the instructions Mr Jones provided upfront. If he had followed those himself then it would not be so bad. Based on what my daughter experienced, he is at very least a horrible driving examiner. Examiners should never make motions, expressions or comments that impact a driving test or make an already tense situation worse. I now believe all the reviews stating his bias toward young women and I regret subjecting my daughter to this. I would not recommend Jones Driving School based on that experience alone. A week later my daughter passed the road course with flying colors as she is a very good new driver, as stated by Mr Hendricks and observed first hand personally during 60 plus hours behind the wheel.
Negative experience: DO NOT GO HERE 1950 international CT Grovetown ga 30813..The owner(so he said he was the owner) had the worst attitude..do not spend your hard earned money. Spend your money on a company that knows what customer service is about.
Fantastic experience: Jones driving school did an excellent job teaching my daughter all the fundamentals of driving. They were very patient and made sure that she was comfortable driving. She really learned a lot. Everyday that she left class, she came home so excited to share what she learned, I felt like I was in class. This family oriented establishment made it easy and fun to learn.
Negative experience: They need to update their website
Positive experience: Went through the Basic Rider Course the beginning of November 2022. Byron is tough, but fair; and although his patience seems to be reserved for his family, I am confident he has me on the right path to becoming a competent rider. Best advice I can give is sit back, listen, and learn...you won't regret it.
Fantastic experience: My son thoroughly enjoyed the class and they bent over backwards to get his driving time in quickly! They were very helpful and friendly!!
Fantastic experience: My experience with Jones Driver Education was a positive one. The staff and instructors were professional and provided great service. Both my children attended their course/training and benefited greatly from it. My daughter attended in 2021 and my son attended this year. The instructors were knowledgeable and patient with my kids which enabled them to receive the instructions being provided to them. Thank you Jones Driver Education!
Negative experience: DO NOT SEND YOUR DAUGHTER HERE. I wish I had found the reviews before signing my 15 yr old daughter up. On the morning of the second day, we had a run-in when I dropped off a bagel for my child, during lunch, while the kids were all sitting outside on the curb eating. The owner ‘found out’ that I brought my child a bagel and demanded to speak to me at pick-up. Shortly after, my daughter began messaging me in a panic because the owner and another grown man had a 15 yr old girl, cornered at the end of the hallway, berating her about her shorts being ‘too short’, demanding that she “will call him sir, because he owns that place” and threatening to kick her out if her mother didn’t arrive immediately. The girl was crying, understandably. I comforted my daughter as well as I could, and began researching this facility. After seeing the reviews, I felt sick. I immediately began the process of having her voucher released so I could sign her up elsewhere. I was also given a direct link to file a formal complaint, which is being done. With so many reports of verbal abuse toward women and young ladies, this is obviously the norm there. I regret the 2 days I sent my child there. This is supposed to be an exciting and enjoyable experience for our children; not tearful, fearful and anxiety-filled!! Shame on everyone at this facility for allowing the harassment to continue.
Negative experience: PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE!! Please read all reviews on Google, Yelp and BBB. I wish I would have, this place should be SHUT DOWN! The owner Donnell Jones (Driving Instructor) and his girlfriend Belinda Knox (Office Secretary) are deliberately the most disrespectful people. They failed my son’s driver test due to failure to make a complete stop at a yield sign when turning right when no one was coming. Mr Jones explained to me that the state of Georgia takes yield signs very seriously, that it is a $400 ticket, and his license would be taken away until he was 21 years old. When I asked if cars were coming, he said, no, that the light determines if you stop or not, so if the light is red, you stop at a yield no matter what, stating that he needed to make a complete stop like a stop sign. He yelled at my son in the car, “saying that I know we taught you better than that.” For reference the lane he was turning on to had its own lane to then be used to merge and there were no oncoming cars. Also to be noted, Mr Jones never had to use his brakes on his side of the car, as there was no danger of a collision at any time. I was shocked as I had never heard these rules before. I called Columbia County Sheriff’s Office and once they were involved, both Belinda and Mr. Jones became very irate even with the officer, stating that he did not owe anyone an explanation of his decision. There was nothing that could be done, it was our word against his. This was very upsetting for a first-time driver to have to go through this. They are obviously not teaching the correct rules of the road. I spent the next two weeks making sure my son knew the correct rules and he took his test with the DMV and passed.
Negative experience: The owner is an absolute piece of trash. Needs to go out of business. Don’t send your kids here!
Fantastic experience: First and foremost I would like to say that I highly recommend this driving school. Reading the reviews would make you very skeptical due to so many negative reviews and not many positives. However, I am glad that I took a chance in sending my daughter here for her drivers education training course. Everyday she would come home telling me about new rules and or laws they taught, as well as different scenarios. Mr. Jones made sure you passed your exam and if you did not he would speak to you and motivate you in letting you know that you will be OK. When it came for the driving portion, we had the pleasure of working with Mr. Hendricks and Mr. Fryer. No issues what so ever with either instructor. They both reassured me that my daughter will do great in her driver’s license test and they see no issue. If they did have a concern they would tell you what you need to work on or what can be improved. If you are thinking about bringing your teen here, GO FOR IT!
Negative experience: I was looking forward to supporting this business. However, I was treated very rudely while attempting to schedule driver’s training for my daughter. Because of the date I selected, the gentleman in the office indicated he wouldn’t accept her because “she probably wouldn’t finish and he wouldn’t get paid.” I was shocked at the assumption and the treatment. Although I’m disappointed, I am glad I got to see on the front end that this is the customer service they provide before funds were tied up with them.
Negative experience: DO NOT TAKE YOUR DRIVING TEST HERE. While I was taking my driving test, my examiner was kind of rude and VERY nitpicky. If I made the tiniest mistake such as barely going over the speed limit (I accidentally went 38 when it was 35) he took off points. I was constantly trying to stay the speed limit, but I also had to focus on the road, so of course that might happen. No big deal but he got upset. He said that I wasn’t paying attention when all I tried to do was pay attention. Also, I was at a red light going right and came to a full stop before I turned because it was a red light, I thought that if I didn’t fully stop he would take off points. He told my dad “I had plenty of time to go and a truck behind me wasn’t expecting me to stop and he might have hit me”. I only stopped for one second and went when it was clear. I didn’t stay stopped. He also LIED about me. He told my dad I had to switch lanes and I made a truck beside me slow down for me and I cut it off, when what really happened was I let the truck go and I got behind it. My mom told me it seems like he tried to find every possible way to fail me. Save your money and time by not coming here. I tried to find this examiner’s name but I couldn’t. But if you go on their Facebook page and press photos, you’ll see a picture of him. I don’t think it’s a good idea to take your test here because every instructor I’ve had/ heard of is not welcoming or polite. (Except one white man who’s name I don’t remember but it’s not mr Jones. I think it was David) Please, if you’re going to take your driving test, do it at the Thompson DDS. They are so kind, patient, welcoming, and understanding. They will ease your worries and make you feel comfortable and confident. The route is very easy. Also, it is WAYYY cheaper to take your test there than at Jones.
Fantastic experience: The experience was awesome! Byron and Duane delivered an excellent course. I felt they provided all the materials and guidance necessary to be successful as much as possible - at the end of the day it is up to each student to ride that bike and take that exam. I’ve read some of the reviews and I will say that this course is not for everyone. At times it felt very demanding and not easy by any means, but majority of my class were 1st time riders and at no time did I witness any form of abuse, or derogatory demeanor from either instructor. I actually applaud these gentlemen for their continued support and patience with us from start to end! Show up on time, follow the instructions given, and maintain a positive attitude will be helpful to gaining the most out of the course.
Fantastic experience: Jones Driver Education was very professional and patient with my daughter. Mr. Jones made my daughter feel comfortable but also gave her in-depth tips on how to improve her driving and the laws associated with it. Every day she came home excited to tell her about what she learned that day. I highly recommend this company to anyone who needs that extra push for their kids to become proficient in their driving skills.
Fantastic experience: I took the motorcycle driver's training class a few years ago. Best money spent! The instructors were fantastic. Many thanks to Byron and Gerald for giving me the training and knowledge I need to be a successful biker.
Negative experience: don’t go here. it’s way too much money and the workers are incredibly rude. I didn’t get scheduled to practice with them ever, even after we called multiple times. we get hung up on as well. i’m getting my license today and they didn’t put me in the system or give me a certificate that I completed the course. don’t waste your time or money here.
Fantastic experience: First time on a motorcycle and passed, thank you Duane and Byron.
Fantastic experience: First time motorcycle women rider and passed with a perfect score. Thank you Duane and Byron
Negative experience: If you look at the reviews of this place they have a serious issue with being disrespectful to women. Not to mention verbally abusive towards women. Unfortunately this happened to my wife. She literally came home in tears. Please do not support this establishment. Wish I could give 0 stars!
Negative experience: BYRON IS ABSOLUTELY ABUSIVE WITH WOMEN! I was mistreated horrible by Byron. I am a first time rider, never rode a motorcycle. Everything was very new to me. 2 hours of newly being introduced to motorcycle riding, and I was berated by him in front of everyone, who most have touched a motorcycle. He was a lot nicer to others, yet when it came to me, he used it as a reason to verbally abuse me. No one can learn anything in that type of environment, constantly being talked down to and yelled at. I had to tell Byron that he was yelling at me and that causes me to get frustrated, then I can't focus. If I can't focus, then I'll definitely make a mistake. The first rule of riding is to be in a good mindset. Definitely was not able to be in a good mindset there. The other Instructor was a lot more patient, and I wish he could teach the course without Byron. I'm sure me and the other negative reviews would not exist if they did that. I don't know if Byron is "gatekeeping" or just enjoy being abusive towards women. I should have called the cops, and made a report before I left.
Negative experience: DO NOT SEND YOUR KIDS!!! I wish I could give this place 0 stars. We had been warned this place was horrible and if there were any place else that offered the newly mandatory 30 hours classroom course, we would have gone there. I really wish there was another local driving school. This is the only reason he is still in business. The owner Mr. Jones has the emotional intelligence and professionalism of a toddler. He appears to have a problem with woman and girls as well. The classroom experience was great. The instructor was knowledgeable and pleasant. My daughters first driving instructor was also nice and helpful for her first 1.5 hours of driving. However during her second session she was paired with the owner Mr. Jones who was rude, condescending, and provided no assistance or feedback during the drive. My daughter was visibly upset after this session and reluctantly went back for her next one. She unfortunately was paired with Mr. Jones again who she said came out upset at someone who worked there and fussing about how he will not be disrespected by him. He then proceeded to take his frustration out on my child. He barks off some instructions to her the orders her into the car when she doesn’t respond, he demands she say “Yes sir” and gives more orders. When she responds with “Yes” and not “Yes Sir”, he proceeds yell at her to get out the car and that he will not work with her because she is disrespectful. She calls me upset and I call him and ask what happened and relay what my daughter said. I ask him how was she disrespectful so I can make her apologize and she can be dealt with by me and her father. He proceeds to be rude and disrespectful to me and tells me it’s because she didn’t say “Yes Sir” after he gave her instructions. My husband went to pick her up he also attempted to find out what really happened because he didn’t believe this was all because she didn’t say “Yes Sir” , Mr. Jones confirmed it was and was very short with my husband.
Negative experience: The owner and office staff are beyond rude. They do not return messages being asked to call to schedule driving lessons. When I finally got the owner on the phone, he spoke to me more rudely than I’ve ever been spoken to. My daughter took the class in early June. It’s November and she still hasn’t had her driving sessions. When I asked to be scheduled, I was told they were booked for the next two weeks. I asked to go ahead and schedule for the next available opportunity and was told they only book two weeks out. They force you to pay upfront and then don’t follow through on scheduling the driving lessons and become rude and combative when they are called on it. I wish I had researched them online instead of relying on word of mouth before signing my daughter up for their class. According to their BBB rating/complaints and Google Reviews, this is a pattern for them. Save your money and go somewhere else. Don’t trust these folks!
Negative experience: Honestly, the Jones driving experience is horrible. The instructors do not give clear instruction while driving, and rather yell in your ear and expect you to know what to do. They aren’t welcoming or friendly and even make there students cry. If they wanted to be drill sergeants they could’ve of chose another profession.
Negative experience: This establishment deserves no stars nor praise. I found out after doing my own investigation that the positive reviews are some of his actual employees plus associates to help his business in reviews. Jones, who I myself have had altercation with is rude, highly disrespectful & no where near professional. He him self isn't that intelligent seeing how he reacted to a cop telling him he was wrong on his own establishment. I figure Jones being prior military & a brother mason(which you all need to watch out for). Jones, states he has been successful with his business but truth be told NO!!!! There are REASONS why he does not have this business in Richmond County due to the fact, people know his terrible history. He didn't even want me to take his course when I arrived only to be turned around stating I did not sign up for his class after Jones & I had spoken over the phone. Shouldn't a business man inform his potential student? Yet He'll miss out on bettering himself plus business due to the fact some one is working to have the establishment placed under investigation for his acts! BTW to have this posted it had to have a star, when it should be fine to post with any
Fantastic experience: Byron is a wonderful instructor who took me from zero riding experience to feeling comfortable and confident on a bike. He's firm, overly fair, and fastidious in his passion for rider safety. P.S. Knowing how to drive stick/standard in a car helps a lot. P.P.S. Be patient and listen. He knows what he's doing.
Fantastic experience: Had a chance to speak with the owner, he's very respectful very upbeat about his students. Great person
Negative experience: I cannot emphasize enough..... Do not waste your time and energy. I hesitate to say Mr. because that would suggest he deserves respect so I will say the Jones man that works the front desk. He is extremely rude, disrespectful and unprofessional. I highly recommend any other driving school except this one.
Negative experience: The older woman and man were nasty , hateful and rude on phone and person! Do NOT USE THEM!!!
Negative experience: Hello, I just wanted to spread the word about Jones Driving school in Augusta, Georgia. As a parent, I wanted to ask about liability coverage and driving school procedures. Because I asked these questions, they said it might be best that I select another school. RED FLAG folks. I would NOT recommend this driving school. I told them I couldn't believe they were actually upset that a parent wanted to ask such questions. I also said, I was going to let others know and they said they could care less. The word of mouth is powerful. I had to edit this post, because I am noticing the couple of good reviews are being posted first and I do mean a couple. Please look up Jones Driving School reviews and you will see quite of few bad reviews.
Negative experience: Mr. Jones was rude, unprofessional, and suggested that his time was more important and more valuable than that of his clients. We all live in a COVID environment now and yet when COVID concerns arise he refuses to be flexible and instead chose to belittle and berate his client. I would highly recommend choosing a different company with better customer service and a professional attitude.
Negative experience: I am appalled by the rudeness, lack of honesty, poor communication, and basic customer service tenets from Mr. Jones. We paid for driving school right before anyone could anticipate the pandemic—unfortunately, Mr. Jones won't honor or issue a refund. When asked about it, he would change the story with each communication. First, he asked me to trust him to issue the refund; then, he said he changed his mind that he won't give a refund after following up with him multiple times. Why not just be candor and say you won't issue a refund. Don't conduct business with Mr. Jones or his company. Other companies are available in Augusta. Thanks.
Fantastic experience: 3day class, helpful staff and coaches, pleasant environment
Fantastic experience: Mr. Jones is an amazing instructor. My teenager is one of the best drivers I know thanks to Mr. Jones. He has learned such good driving habits such as putting his phone on do not disturb while driving. When I sent him off to school in the big city, he was able to handle to road like pro and I know safety is his number one priority on the road. Thank you Mr. Jones and Jones Driving School. I will be trusting you with my next teenage driver really soon.
Fantastic experience: Very Good
Negative experience: If you wanted to waste your life you’ve come to the right location. They give no clear explanation towards their social distancing policy. Was told to sit and wait in the lobby to be kicked out by the same exact man who asked why I was waiting in the lobby. Terrible treatment towards their students. Heavily recommend other driving schools and not this one. Don’t waste your time coming here.
Fantastic experience: Enrolled in the motorcycle training class and received the best training I could have ever imagined!!! Mr. Byron is a very proficient and caring instructors!!!! You can't find a better instructor!!!! I recommend this school above any other school in the area!!!! If you want someone who truly cares about the individual and teaches the best safety practices then this is the best place to get the instruction you need to be a responsible rider/driver!!!!
Negative experience: Be aware of this school, not worth the money. Bunch of unprofessional money greedy sucking on nice honest people. They think we are made of money. We work hard for our kids.
Negative experience: I wish I could give 0 stars!!! He is very rude both in person and over the phone. Never answer any questions and does not warn people that are clueless. I had no clue about the drivers part having to be when you’re 16 so he allowed my brother to do the hours for the class room then told us he was not allowed to do the drivers part. Then would not give a refund. He’s unprofessional and this makes everyone feel anxious. Please save your money and save your child from being emotionally scarred!
Negative experience: My daughter called Jones Driving School in Grovetown today to ask what their social distancing policies are for the May classes. Mr. Jones himself answered the phone and refused to tell her. He told her he doesn’t talk to children. As a parent, I encourage my children to make general inquiries such as this to help prepare them for adulthood. She is nearly 17 and is quite capable. As a potential student, she has a right to know what precautions are being made for her safety. I called Mr. Jones myself and he was extremely rude. He told me he was too old to talk to children. How is this man supposed to teach with this attitude? I have sent two of my children to this school before without incident. I will not send another.
Fantastic experience: We really enjoyed this driving school. Our son came home excited about what he was doing and learning. Thank you for making the classroom interesting!
Fantastic experience: Very good teaching !! Always answers the questions you ask , and help you with everything you need to get done ! 10/10 recommend!
Negative experience: Horrible customer service over the telephone. FOREIGNERS DO NOT CONTACT THIS DRIVING CLASSES SCHOOL BECAUSE MR. JONES DOES NOT HAVE PATIENT TO TALK TO A PERSON WHO HAS AN ACCENT. I have been living 10 years old in the USA and of course I still have my South American accent. Mr. Jones should be nice on the phone with anybody with or without accent because I am a customer. When you answer a business phone call, you never know who is on the other side. I might have an accent, however, I am an United States Citizen and I vote. AGAIN, I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANY FOREIGNER.
Fantastic experience: My experience was GREAT! I really learned a lot!
Fantastic experience: ONCE AGAIN!! Very pleased with the instruction my 15 year old son received both in the classroom and on the road! Both of my children have taken the driver's ed course! (I have recommended family and friends who have had the same experience.) Thank you all so much!
Negative experience: Insructor believes humiliation is a teaching technique.
Negative experience: Tried to give them my business, but they were very rude and seemed very bothered to be dealing with me. Owner just did not seem happy to be there at all and was annoyed to even address my questions. They wouldn't accept my business. It's a miracle they're even still in business.
Negative experience: If I could leave a no star review I would. DO NOT USE THIS DRIVERS SCHOOL. Mr Jones is rude and disrespectful to the people that walk into his business. He speaks ill of the dead and disrespectful to their family when confronted about it. He lies - he told my daughter that she would get a refund and them refused to give it to her. Go to Brocs. They are more accommodating and much friendlier. We had absolutely no issues with them when my older child used them.
Negative experience: The man who answered the phone was extremely rude to me. I just don't understand why. I was asking questions about the classes and he did not want to answer he just kept saying did you look online, did you look online? Based on that I do not want to give my money to a person like that. Very condescending. Please have someone kind and professional answer your phone or hire someone as such. It's money out of your pocket. No way to run a business.
Negative experience: Horrible, rude people!!! Stay away!
Negative experience: This is what my god daughter’ parents had to deal with. Don’t use these scum bags. No one has the right to diminish her legacy. Boycott these dirt bags. FB Post: Since Shaylin Foster accident Chris Foster and I have tried to continue the amazing legacy that our wonderful daughter had. Days are hard! The constant memories of what once was and what should have beens. Today I found out that an instructor at Jones Driving School told a class that Shaylin had a tendency to drift to the right that's why she killed herself. So... Mommy called. And spoke to rude receptionist then Chris called. And spoke to her and Mr. Jones called and spoke to us. He was beyond rude and chastised both Chris and I. He said he wasn't responsible for what was said at his school. He bullied and talked over me. When Chris spoke he said he wouldn't talk to Chris because of how Chris spoke. Okay so anyone whoever has spoken to Chris knows how he talks. When I left a message saying I expected a call back today he said that was unacceptable. I am sorry your instructors are telling students my child killed herself. I think a call today is not asking too much. I would not recommend Jones Driving School. They never apologized. They just told me my behavior and Chris was wrong. Keep my daughter's name out of your mouth. Her death is not to be used as lesson! She did nothing wrong! Stupid people suck!
Negative experience: Disrespectful, bullies students, where is the list to begin....
Fantastic experience: My son is currently taking drivers ed with Jones School and he really enjoys the class here. He said its very interesting and is learning alot. I had great customer service when I went there to enroll him in the class for June and have had no issues at all. I also like the different options for class times to fit our needs.
Fantastic experience: Very amazing experience and such an amazing staff. I absolutely loved it There.
Fantastic experience: My daughter attended this school and I was initially apprehensive about the school based on the reviews and decided to let her attend and I'm so glad I did because it was a great experience and everyone was so professional and kind and I would definitely refer anyone in need of this service to go for it. Mr Jones and his whole staff are awesome!!!!
Fantastic experience: Great instructors, and amazing people, they make sure you pass and pay attention in class and make sure you understand everything. If I ever need to get my license again for any reason I am definitely coming back here.
Fantastic experience: I am sitting outside this estabishment right now, writing this review. I want EVERYONE to know how WONDERFUL this place is and the staff are so kind! Mr. Jones has a jam up team and is willing to be flexible and helpful with whatever they can do. Mr. Jones himself is a no nonesense kind of guy when it comes to getting down to business, but is humorous and fun when the business is done. I dont know him personally but he seems to be a really great guy! I will recommend ALL my friends and family to go here!!!
Fantastic experience: Mr. Jones was extremely professional during all our interactions. He even went out of his way and came in at odd hours to accommodate my schedule.
Fantastic experience: Excellent staff and very informative course for new drivers..
Negative experience: This is one of the worst business interactions I’ve ever had. If I could give Mr. Jones zero stars, I would. This man does not know how to conduct business and treat paying customers. I first called Mr Jones to find out information about defensive driving classes offered at his driving school , and was told there would be a class on Feb 2. My information was taken and I received an email. I was told to just come in and make a payment. I went in to go make a payment and right off the bat I was treated rudely by him. I stated I came in to make a payment for the feb 2 defensive driving class and he replied we don’t have a class feb 2. I was confused and explained that over the phone I was told there was. He looked at the calendar and said it’s feb 9th. I said that’s fine. You can put me down. I paid and left. Then, while I’m on my ER shift, I get three missed calls from him with no message. I call the number back and a woman answers. She tells me that the class is feb 2, not feb 9 th. I say that’s fine, she can put me down. After working 4 straight shifts 11-11:30 pm, coming from Atlanta after my shift, I get home after 1 am and I’ve been ill, I come to class 7 mins late and Mr. jones is at the door. He’s angry and rude and states you’re late and you’re holding everyone else (there’s 2 people in the class and they’re not complaining). This isn’t acceptable and just going on and on. I apologize at least 4 times and ask him where the class is. We go in and he starts the class. There is a book and he has videos. I didn’t know I was allowed to write in the book but I take notes on a piece of paper. He gives a short break and asks me if I answered questions in the book and I replied yes. He then looks at my book and says”This isn’t going to work out. I’ll give you your money back. You need to leave”. By this time I’m absolutely baffled! I ask him, what is going on and why are you being so rude to me. I’m sorry I was late by 7 mins which he said I was 15 mins late. But there’s no reason for you to treat me this way or be so rude and talk to me this way. He said you didn’t answer the questions in the book. I said I did but I didn’t know I could write on the book but I have the answers. He said I’m going to charge you for the book and you can get the rest of your money back...I said no you’re gonna give all my money back. He gave me my money and I left. I do believe he may have some personal issues and does not know how to treat paying customers. I hope he goes to anger management and learns that life happens, and whether I came a few mins late shouldn’t have anything to do with you. At the end of the day, I’m the paying customer and I’m the one who has to pass the test! Good luck Mr Jones with your bad business. I’ll be sure to not recommend you and let people know what a horrible person you are and your bad business practices!!!
Fantastic experience: I had the privilege to attend a motorcycle training class. The instructors were phenomenal. The knowledge of the how to operate a motorcycle helped to minimize my fear of driving a motocycle. Kudos to Jones Driver Education
Negative experience: I regret having to give even one star. Jones driving school is the worst experience of my daughters life. She was bullied, picked on, and belittled by Mr Jones. He turned what was supposed to be an exciting time in her life into a terrible one. She completed her classroom portion, took all but one of the driving portions and then when he messed up the scheduling of her last driving portion, he berated and yelled at my wife saying he made no mistake, when she said whatever and attempted to just reschedule, he said no we will not be rescheduling. My wife and daughter both say they have never been more scared in their life, calling me in tears over how they were treated. Later, I attempted to discuss this with Mr Jones, he attempted the same bully tactics with me and threatened to get physical with me if I didn’t agree with him about dropping the matter, I discussed this was not fair to my daughter or him., and only wanted her to get credit for what she completed. After seeing this bully and calling him out, I regret ever taking my daughter to be around him. No telling how many poor kids he has belittled with his tactics. Being a true bully, he still witholds my daughters certificate thinking this is his power over us . Luckily I was able to go above his head to obtain it. We are still weighing a civil case against him. Don’t let your child be the next person to be treated poorly. This is a regular occurrence as I’ve spoken with several others who have had similar experiences. My advice, teach your child yourself. We thought we were preparing her to drive, instead she learned that there are some really mean, bad people in the world, and you can’t trust adults.
Negative experience: I’m very disappointed with the way communication is done here. The price isn’t worth if when u get poor communication and very rude people running the front office
Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Jones Driving School! My son came home everyday after class sharing all that he learned during the Joshua's Law portion. My son was able to not only learn the rules of the road, he was able to learn how to react in various situations that will occur while driving. I opted not to teach my son to drive before attending the course. I felt that it was important for him to learn from a professional and not learn my bad driving habits. My son had Mr. Frye for all of his on the road training. Mr. Frye took the time to explain what they did in each session. My son went from not being able to drive to driving on Washington Road and the interstate. Having the same instructor enabled my son to feel confident and comfortable while driving. The staff answered all of my questions and ensured that our needs were met. Mr. Jones personally called me to schedule on the road training as soon as the classroom portion was completed. This is an outstanding school and is worth every penny!
Fantastic experience: Basic Motorcycle Riding Course is definitely worth it. I highly recommend for anyone wanting to learn proper riding and not to forget getting a waiver for motorcycle after successful completion.
Fantastic experience: Before I went to Jones driver education school I had never driven anything before, I am 17 and I took the Motorcycle safety program, I was extremely satisfied with the customer service and the coaches/instructors of the course, Mr. Dennison is a great instructor and Mr. Jones was great as well I had an amazing time taking the course it was fun and informative, if you have a teenager that has never driven before or you just want to take the course to learn about things you might not already know I would highly recommend the JDE courses, I had such a great time I will be going back to take the car driving course and get a regular drivers license for a car as well HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
Positive experience: sent all three of my boys here it was great coarse every one should do.
Negative experience: This company is very rude and unprofessional. They do not call you for the driving lesson part, then when you call them they get rude. Would not recommend to anyone.
Negative experience: This place is extremely hard to deal with! After signing a contract, they were hard to contact to schedule lessons, and then they were threatening to not give a refund after a request for money back was made! This company is very RUDE and unprofessional!
Fantastic experience: I will definitely use this place again.
Negative experience: Lack of response after repeated contact attempts and messages, extremely rude customer “service” (?) at telephonic contact, quoting outdated “requirements” that are no longer “requirements” - Thanks but no. I will keep looking.
Negative experience: This place is the worst for customer service. Very ignorant people at the desk. Never have the correct dates when you ask questions. You have to ask over and over and continually get contradicting information. We had a family emergency and missed the first night, so they forfeited our money "per the contract". No understanding at all. Extremely rude in the phone. We called them to explain the situation but they never returned our call All we wanted to do was reschedule. But instead they took our money. Horrible people. Don't ever go here. They are very unprofessional.
Fantastic experience: PLEASE DO NOT PAY ATTENTION TO THE BAD REVIEWS! I was reading the other reviews and I was a little skeptical of taking my daughter to this place (considering that she has never driven a day in her life). I am so glad that we took her there! This was the best student driving experience for her and I. Mr. Jones gave me tips himself on how I (the super nervous dad) can practice driving effectively with my daughter. THANK YOU MR. JONES my daughter's confidence is through the roof!
Negative experience: Absolutely garbage, the people in the office are very rude and they never answer the phone. Dont waste your time.
Fantastic experience: Was extremely satisfied with the service received here! Instructors were EXACTLY what the younger generation needs; they were patient and did not pull out any stops with my girls! My 2 daughters took this course at the same time and learned some things here that they apparently "didn't know". Thanks again for the superior service! My girls are now both legal drivers & I couldn't be happier! The roads can be scary and it's very important that our younger generation be well informed; they get that from me daily, but it also helped to hear it from someone other than "Mommy" b/c "we" don't know what "we're" talking about! :-)
Fantastic experience: I have been driving for two years now and I can say that Jones Driver Education is one of the best things I have done for my driving. I participated in the 30-6 Instruction Certificate Program during the summer two years ago. Although I was not extremely enthusiastic about sitting through the classes, I can say with confidence that what I learned has made me a safer, better driver. I began with little idea of how to work a car and I left with knowledge, notes, and 6 hours of driving experience. Each drive, the instructor would explain what I did well and what I need to work on. Each instructor was able to point out more than my parents or others could and because of that I still remember to this day very important skills I was taught- skills that have helped me remain accident free. Jones Driver Education has never once made driving into a joke. They are strict about safety and maintaining all the rules of the road. I highly recommend!
Negative experience: The ABSOLUTE WORST customer service that could be offered by a locally owned business. The owner could not answer a simple question and was above all rude for no apparent reason. As he says, "he has been doing this for 10 years" but demonstrates no customer service or people skills. Your child especially would benefit better from someone who can communicate effectively with him/her. His rudeness has no place in a business like this.
Negative experience: I found the instructor Gerald to be very rude. Do not take this course unless you have the patience to deal with his cynical attitude for 3 days straight. If you have a communication error with him prepare to be sent home and your $250 forfeited at his will for ANY reason. Don't waste your money folks. You ask him a question he doesn't like that is considered "arguing" and he will deem you a "safety hazard " and have you sent home or atleast that's what he threatened me with today after explaining to him that his directions were difficult to comprehend(3 out of 4 people in our group was confused) . He replied, "I've been doing this 10 yrs I know what I be sayin' would you like to just go home? ". I then decided to just let it go so I don't lose my hard earned money but just wanted to forwarn the public. Go with another school.
