Fantastic experience: They make sure to teach safe driving. This is a trait that other drivers on public roads don't seem to exhibit to be honest.

Negative experience: Scammer!! 1st lesson is only talking! No driving at all! Double n tripple books students then blames it on them. Gives you hw on the first day which is to watch a YouTube plane landing video then write a 5 star review on lessons you'veyet to experience.. Rude and dismissive when questioned about overbooking or about rescheduling or getting refunded for appointments that were rescheduled byhim!!! There are sooo many other driving schools close by.. I know this one tends to have groupons but plz do yourself a favor and do nottt waste your time or money on a dishonest person. Btw the office is in a shoe store. And yes, you read that correctly. Shoe store.

Fantastic experience: I feel hopeful that this time around I will have the knowledge and experience to become a good driver. I’ve been to other schools and though its only my first lesson. My homework alone is more than any other school has taught me.

Negative experience: I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SCHOOL. Mr Laine will make you write a review after your first lesson so that the negative reviews which are true don’t show up in the feed. He will deceive you by making you think he is a knowledgeable Instructor who wants to help you get your license but in reality he will take your money and try to control you so that you will need more lessons. You will pay to listen to him talk about driving instead of actually driving and waste your time and money after making him look good to everyone else.

Fantastic experience: This driving school has been an amazing discovery for me. So happy I decided to learn how to drive here. The instructor is patient and truly is the best out there as he ensures that you really under the concepts of driving. Definitely take your lessons here!

Fantastic experience: I give alpha and omega driving school a 5 star because before I took his class I didn’t know my feet had to positioned. I learned my feet had to be on a pivot. My driving instructor taught me how to adjust my mirrors which I find very important. He made me look at pressing my breaks in a different way and I’ve realized this whole time I’ve been cracking the egg lol.

I learnt so much that first class about things that I should have been known seeing I took several driving lessons at another school before. I feel confident that Omega Driving school will be the one to take me to the finish line and I can't wait to see what my next class entails. If you are a first time driver, especially if you're a nervous driver this is the place to be. Disclaimer:This review is after my first class of 5 lessons so I will update if needs be. Update: I recently did the 5hour driving course and it was quite informative and interactive. Even though it was for 5 hours, the instructor made it interesting with videos, interactive pictures and a few jokes. I learnt a lot about defensive driving, road signs, being a safe and responsible driver and what do if I'm in tough situations like a person with road rage. I would recommend this 5 hour driving course and I hope to put into practice all the things I learnt.

Negative experience: Worst experience ever they are completely a scam I took my cousin to pick up his 5 hour certificate and the guy was very shady had us go to a location on white plains road in the Bronx and they didn’t have no office there he claimed one the other business there was his he was rude didn’t even get out of the car to hand him his certificate and 1st was demanding to see a review before even giving it to him never in my 31 years of living have I ever seen a business demand a review before handing you a product you have paid for. Stay away from this place

Fantastic experience: I had a wonderful time with Mr. Laine on my first driving lessons. We worked on the egg breaking. At first when I did this exercise my egg was cracking but when I moved the car my egg was broken. As we drove back to my drop off location I got better at breaking when the car was moving forward. Therefore I went from breaking the egg to cracking it. I really hope that in my next lesson I will be able to paste the egg with the continuous help from Mr. Laine. I would recommend Mr. Laine for every beginner driver and in general I would recommend they take these lessons with Alpha & Omega Driving School.

Negative experience: PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS SCHOOL!!! I bought the 5-hour class and a driving lesson for $70 via Groupon. I attended the 5-hour class on Nov 30th 2021 and I couldn't pick the certificate up until TODAY January 14 2022. When I went to pick it up, nobody answered the door. The instructor/owner Gabriel Laine was outside in his car and I went up to his car to ask about my certificate. This man starts saying I can't pick it up until 4pm even though the email said I can be there at 3pm. Then he starts demanding I show him the email where it says 3pm, my permit and my Groupon voucher IN HIS CAR. He proceeds to tell me I can't get my certificate because I never redeemed my voucher and that I am a liar and trying to get free lessons from him. Also I had to CALL these people just to get a driving lesson and I got an appointment YESTERDAY NIGHT at almost 10pm for TODAY at 2pm. He was angry I asked for a refund in person and refused to schedule me for another time to drive. Regardless, I didn't want to drive with him, I felt extremely upset with the way he spoke to me and how he accused me of lying. Completely unprofessional and a NASTY attitude. I took a picture of his car before he claims I never spoke to him or whatever scam artist excuse he has. Currently trying to get a refund via Groupon. PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE!!!!

Fantastic experience: Signed up my daughter to take the 5hr course via zoom. There was full transparency with communication. My daughter is a first time driver and just got her permit and she enjoyed the class while Mr.Laine was very informative, he also has a sense of humor.

Negative experience: Hi if I can I will give them zero I took one lesson with the instructor they don’t have a office on white plains rd they just are trying to take money from people and they 5 hour class is a scam they make u give 5 stars to them on google reviews and then plan to give you 5 hour certificate. I took one lesson from Lanine he doesn’t have manners he doesn’t want you touch his car noting I had lessons from another school about 15 and I had road test next day so I just wanted to fresh up before road test he made me so confuse and said I will fail also should cancel my next day road test he said I will fail to my face ten times this made me nervous for my road test next day but u know what I didn’t fail I passed he was just confusing me to buy lessons from him

Negative experience: The 5 hour class was alright. The problem I had with this driving school, I purchased it on Groupon. My first class was canceled & rescheduled. The problem is I take the class, get a test saying we HAVE to write a essay and leave a review on both Groupon and google. I text the school telling them the info on Groupon is misleading and they need to update it. I have no problem doing the essay. It’s the face that you HAVE leave reviews to get your certificate. You also don’t get your certificate quickly. You have to wait a week for it. Which you get after you send proof of the reviews. I wouldn’t recommend this school to anyone unless you like to do essay and leave reviews.

Negative experience: This school is okay. I took one car lesson. I learned a lot but my parents felt it was a waste of money. Then I purchased a 5 hour class. Please do not redeem any of your purchasing or let them because on Groupon on once it’s redeemed it’s hard to get your money back if something comes up. During my lesson I was told to leave a 5 star review and I never got the 5 hour lesson which was suppose to happen Thursday but the date was changed and no one told me that. Now I have to find a different place to do my 5 hour class because I honestly do not trust this company and if you do a driving lesson just know it’s in their personal car. I tried reaching out to 2 people for the refund. We went back and forth then they ghosted me. Fortunately Groupon was understanding but now I have Groupon credit that I didn’t want. Please just be careful and question everything!!

Fantastic experience: One of the kindest individual that I’ve meet. He was so patience with me, there were some question he asked me but I didn’t know and yet he didn’t get upset with me. One the first day he went over specific topics that will actual help me pass my road test that is coming soon.

Positive experience: The driving instructor is very informative, however with one instructor it's hard to get appointed at the schedule for your convenience. Most importantly, Mr. Laine does prepare you for the road test.

Negative experience: DO NOT GO TO THIS MAN!!! SCAM ARTIST! It is not a Driving School, it is just a man with a car, and he will come late and end your lesson early. He preys on church people, driving newbies, and older drivers. Most of the 5 star reviews were forced for discount before lessons. Do not lose your money. I lost 300 dollars and had to go to another driving school years ago. People at my church in 2019 recently lost hundreds because he refuses to return calls I highly recommend Ruki Auto Driving School in the Bronx. You are welcome. Shame on them for using this name.

Positive experience: On my first day i learned a lot of the little things that a typical driver would forget. Such as what is Pivoting (is when the heel of your right foot remains on the ground ,while you pivot back and forth between the brake and gas). And the rules to pulling out, the proper way to stop when you see a Stop sign.

Negative experience: If you're young, avoid him. He may try to take advantage of you like he did to me. Mr. Laine did teach me most of what I needed to learn but he is a dishonest businessman. On my original 10 lessons with him, he saved parallel parking for the 2nd to last lesson (Lesson 9/10) and did it only twice on the 9th lesson and once on the 10th lesson so I never learned it from him. Lessons 3-8 we did nothing new. My brother, who had a different driving school, was taught parallel parking on the 4th lesson. That's when i started noticing how dishonest Mr. Laine is. I had to teach myself parallel parking a while later and was going to schedule a road test with him but my parents suggested I take 3 more classes. I agreed and took 3 more classes with him and i told Laine to put more emphasis on parallel parking, which he did. I finally learned HIS technique and it was a bad technique. It did not involve the side mirrors AT ALL which means his instructions were specific to HIS car. Even worse, his car is old and beat up. It most likely has outdated specs. I know because his technique did not work at all for my car that i practice with. At the end of the 3 lessons, he told me 4 lies in under 20 minutes. Lie #1, he told me that i needed more lessons. I did not because at that point I've been driving for over 2 years with absolutely no problems. I told him no thank you. He responded with another lie. Lie #2 was he said that he had to "ok" me for the road test. I told him that the government does not require you to take formal driving classes so how will those people get an "ok" to take a road test? He responded to that with another lie. Lie #3 was he said that the government DOES require you to take formal driving classes. Everyone knows that's wrong. I told him that and asked him if he was lying to me. He then told lie #4, which was more of a white lie. Lie #4 was that judges do mandate people to take formal driving classes. What he left out was that that's for people who are irresponsible like drunk drivers, drug drivers, road ragers, etc. I stood my ground i told him no. He conceded and scheduled the road test. September I told him i could only do Fridays and he warned me that it would take a while. I knew that and accepted because Friday was my only weekday that i was available. In November i received a text telling me that my road test was WEDNESDAY November 28th. I calmly called him and reminded him that i could only do Fridays. In December 21st, i realized that i still didn't get a text for my road test so i called him and told him i could do any weekday since I was on winter vacation. He thanked me because it made it easier for him. In January, about a month later, I still didn't receive a text for my road test so i called him. He didn't pick up and RIGHT after i hung up, I received a text from him telling me that my road test was FRIDAY March 1st. I was angry because it was a lot longer than it was supposed to take and my winter vacation was over on that day and the timing of that text was suspicious as hell. I calmed down and accepted it because at least it was on a friday and i could do only fridays. Sometime in February, i received a text from him telling me that my road test was TUESDAY March 5th. That was the last straw for me. Now i know that the text telling me my road test was Friday March 1st was a huge lie, lie #5, that he told me out of panic as a distraction. I tried calling him multiple times a day demanding a refund. He never picked up for the next 2 weeks. I had to call his son to tell Mr. Laine to pick up his damn phone. Mr. Laine finally did and i demanded a refund. He tried to scam me, again, by refunding me some of the cost and claimed that some of it went to the DMV. That was lie #6. You pay for 2 road tests the day you pay for your permit. You DO NOT pay for the DMV road tests through your instructor. I didn't back down and demanded the FULL refund and he finally conceded. Ironically, after my 5 hour class with him, he asked me to leave a good review. Instead I'm going to give the review he deserves.

Positive experience: On the first day of my driving lesson, I appreciated how much my driving instructor Mr lanes, took the time out to explain the small but essential details. Rather than starting up the car and having me drive, he took his time to explain the rules and key concepts of driving

Fantastic experience: The instructor spoke to me before for we even moved the car to see how much I knew and I didn't know anything. Now I see why I failed my road test twice already but I really know that when I am ready I will pass it. You really have to now the revolving mechanics of the rules of the road and driving

But im feeling very good about this experience so far; the instructor is very professional, knows the proper way to communicate and interact with student on a professional level. MOST IMPORTANTLY, on time and the full 1 hour lesson, nothing less nor more, and i walked out of the 1st lesson with a lot of information.

Negative experience: I was a student with Mr. Laine back when the school was up-and-coming. My mother had been singing the man's praises, and paid for me to go with him...bad idea. Did I get lessons? Yes, but they would sometimes involve picking up other students for their lessons (which would cut mine short). Did he instruct me in how to do certain things properly? Yes, and he made me take notes, but he also expected positive reviews as part of his "homework". I believe at one point he even wanted me to help with some aspect of his business, as though it was all some favor in payment of the lessons (alongside the money he was gauging us for). In the end, I failed my test (my own fault), but I would never recommend this scammer or his ongoing scam to anyone I didn't like.

Negative experience: I've been calling non stop and I can't get in touch with him. Another number they had listed and someone hung up on me and wouldn't answer when I called them.

Fantastic experience: He explains in details what do you have to do to pass the driving test and he uses association and repetition teaching modes. The only part that i wish i could change is that when you buy the lessons for example 5hrs you will meet the instructor 3 times. Meaning that your for 40-45mins per lesson will be divided between those 3 visits. But besides that your money is really worth it.. I am planning to take more lessons with the same instructor! It is worth it.

Negative experience: I decided to finally do lessons and took time off work. They have 5 different numbers that do not work, they don’t answer the phone for the hours they have listed. When someone finally answer the phone, they were rude! Even after speaking with him, I did as I was instructed and still have yet to hear anything. You have to wait 24 hours to even book a reservation it is time consuming. Of course getting a refund is much harder than paying. They also have different locations and I have yet to find a valid location. I also asked to speak to a manager and still have yet to hear from them. At this point I just want my money back!
