Steve was incredibly patient and helpful; made me near perfect in parking after 30 minutes and gave helpful tips on the road before my actual test. Pierre was equally patient and helpful in my test.

Negative experience: DO NOT waste your time and money at this horrible place if you haven’t enrolled & taking their driving classes! Right from the time we entered their place for taking the test, the staff were very being constantly rude & highly disrespectful towards us. While scheduling the appointment they had clearly told us that we could practice parking in their parking spot before the test. But after we started practicing parking a rude woman came towards us and told us not to practice there otherwise they would fail me in the test even before it starts. What a scam these unprofessional people are running! Just because we hadn’t enrolled in their driving classes they had pre decided to fail the people who are taking the driving test for the first time. So that they could earn profits from such failed tests. They intentionally fail you so that they could tell you to enroll in their driving classes.

Fantastic experience: IDT is top notch from the beginning of the experience in making the appointment to the parking training with Mike, and ending with the testing with Ban. Negative experience: This place is a scam ,i have taken two of my sons here for testing my first son a couple of years ago mind you i was not allowed in the vehicle so when they returned the instructor said he had failed but if i paid for another test she would pass him without taking the test, so i paid for another test ,took my other son today and he was told he failed the parking but if he paid for an additional test she would bypass that part of the test avoid these dishonest people

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend this place. I took parking lessons from Mike. He is an exceptionally patient and humble person and a very good trainer-as well. He helped me to overcome my fear about reverse parking and teach me how to park confidently. I had my driving lessons with Steve who made it clear to me about the expectations from driving test. I had my driving test with Ban today. She was very nice and gave me instructions calmly whenever I was bit nervous and helped me to successfully complete my test. Highly recommend this place for driving lessons and test.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend taking driving lessons with Mike. Literally the best and most patient instructor you will ever see. I was scared and stressed of driving until I met Mike and started taking lessons with him. He changed my perspective about driving and would always tell me advices and very smart tricks for driving and parking as well. Negative experience: guy told me to get lined up for the parking test but was rude to me and my parents. after my tester came out she received a phone call from him telling her something along the lines of not liking us, im guessing. lady was nice at first then failed me because i stopped after the stop sign, will never recommend to anyone because i past everything on the test and it was only the little mistake she saw. Almost like they were looking for a reason to fail me. Cant pass without bribing them i’m guessing. never booking with these chaldos again

He was very kind and made it so comfortable to take a drivers’ test for the first time in my life. He gave his instructions and directions in a very calm manner, that really helped, especially to get over my nerves and drive smoothly during the test. Fantastic experience: I rarely made comments online, but I really want to do this to show my gratitude to International Training School and my trainer Mike in particular! I am an adult, and before taking classes with Mike, I actually was trained by and practiced with my family for a few months, but no significant progress was made. Since my testing permit is approaching, I decided to find a professional trainer, and I am so glad that I made that decision. Mike is the most patient driving trainer I have met before -- yes, I was taking a few classes by other trainers before. He is very sincere and trustworthy, and always encouraging me, that's really important. It is important that you feel safe by driving with someone/your trainer you barely know. I was very nervous and even terrified by seating on the driver seat at the very beginning and I cannot believe that I drove on free way in my first class, which actually went very well. After two sessions, I felt much more confident. He is truly skilled and really knows how to train beginners, and he pays a close attention to my driving status and weaking points on each day. My driving skills got improved dramatically in a few days, and parking becomes so easy, and I passed my test! I am so glad that I was trained by Mike, and sincerely recommend him to anyone who wants to learn driving!

Fantastic experience: I can't recommend International Driver and Testing School enough, especially their trainer, Mike! I had been trying to teach my daughter to drive and even tried two other schools with different trainers, but we weren’t making any progress. Then we found Mike at International Driver and Testing School, and it was a game-changer. In just three sessions, he managed to fix the issues she’d been struggling with for so long. I was amazed at how quickly he identified and addressed her challenges. Mike is incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and knows exactly how to work with all types of learners. His approach is miles above the rest. If you’re looking for a truly skilled and dedicated driving instructor, Mike at International Driver and Testing School is the best choice.

Fantastic experience: I took my test with ban today! I will be honest and say that the reviews did scare me a little bit. But I am pretty glad to say that she was really really nice and patient and very calm. I would definitely recommend ban for the road test. Having a nice and patient examiner is definitely the key to having a calming driving experience and that was a major key for me to pass my test today :))

Our test instructor was Pierre. He was cool, explained the instructions very clearly. I would suggest picking him for the road test. Negative experience: This place is a money grab. Go to other driving schools. Find anything to mark you despite. What a joke

Negative experience: my daughter took a drivers test there and it was horrible to say the least. We had to wait for 15 minutes just to get to the car and from the start the instructor was very blunt and rude towards us. He kept acting as if my daughter was stupid and couldn't understand what he was saying, which in turn stressed her out. For the parking he was extremely picky and took points off of her overall parking because it was about one inch away from being completely straight. The parallel parking was the worst though. We had brought an X7 as the car to take the test in and is a big car. The instructor did not account for the size of the car when correcting the cones for the parallel parking area, resulting in a small space. Of course when she tried to park the car she could not fully go into it with the technique that is commonly used because there wasn't enough space to back in, resulting in her having to keep going back and forth which made her use all of her points up and fail the test. It was extremely unprofessional and I hope that the team can see this review and make sure that this doesnt happen again. Now I have to pay 90 more dollars to get her test done somewhere else all because Pierre did not move the cones. Then he has the audacity to tell us that we can pay 70 on top of another 90 dollars to take it again. A complete scam!!

Fantastic experience: My wife did driving classes with Mike and he was awesome. Great driving educator, listened to specific issues she had about parking and provided very scientific training to come over the parking skill issues. Positive experience: I had a bad experience on the first test but after talked to Rachel, she understand very well my contends and issues. She offer me a new exam that was excellent! So, I really recommend this company.

Negative experience: Price gouging. They will keep failing you and changing the instructors, they want you to take the training for several hours and different instructors and make you run around Pretty discouraging and a money minded company.

Negative experience: Scam alert…….. stay away from International driving school, BAN Will scam you if she can. This person should be reported to secretary of state. She’ll give you two options.. either pay what she asked for or make you take the test a different day. The kids Excited to get their license and Don’t want to reschedule. They put you in the bind where you look at your kids sad face They are excited and she’s not even there to help out one simple mistake will cost you three times the money.. stay away from these people you will not regret it.

Fantastic experience: It was a really good start for me and I’m glad that I chose this place to start my road training and to take my road test. Everyone was respectful and everything was well managed. I had the best trainer, Mr. Mike, who was patient with me all the time and encouraged me to not hesitate and to do my best, and he trained me well till all the mistakes that I was making before were gone!

Negative experience: It's not honest. They will make sure you take their driving training. Today was my wife's test. My car had a small crack in the windshield one week ago not affecting the driving or vision (but it's my bad). Our examiner told us we should use THEIR Rental cars because of this crack. They gave us the biggest car available. I told the examiner my wife is not trained on such a big car. Can we reschedule the test Tomorrow or some other day and I will fix the windshield!!! They said no. It's non-refundable. Can we use a smaller car!! The other cars are for trainee only! I paid 50$ for rental. My wife didn't do well with the parallel parking which was expected due to the size difference. I told the examiner she should be taking the road test to at least get the feedback and complete experience. The examiner said she did bad anyways and she should do the training for 280$ So, I ended up paying 80$ for the exam and 50$ for rental for an exam that took maximum 10 minutes!!!! She seemed rushed as it was already 4 PM 2 months ago, My friend took the exam with the same examiner. Did way worse mistakes than my wife and she gave him the road test and she told him you failed. The exam took around 90 min but luckily the exam was at 1 pm so no rush and SURPRISINGLY, the examiner told him i can give you the license but you pay 240$ as you trained with us BUT promise me you will do more training as it's not safe for you to drive!! WHAT IS THAT!!! My experience in this place is just frustrating. Not honest. I believe they are there just because some people such as my friend and my wife would feel more comfortable to take the exam with Arabic speaking examiner!! I gave 1 stars as they are polite and nicely speaking. Otherwise, all they care about that you take their driving training. At least, if you have to take the exam with them, DON'T schedule after 3pm. They are usually rushed and want to finish the test as fast as they can! If you are not confident and between getting the test or training, they'll never let you pass without the training so get the training.

Negative experience: Beware while scheduling multiple classes, instructors may skip one and since you paid in advance there isn’t much possible. I paid for parking and pre road test and instructor just did parking training and not willing to even admit this.

Process was very easy, the Instructor (Louie) was very professional, gave clear instructions and expectations, he also is very knowledgeable and gave proper feedback. One thing that’s notable is that if you need it, they can also provide education and/or the road test in Arabic, aside from of course English. I recommend them for both US citizens and Expats!

I was super nervous leading up to the the test, once Pierre was done explaining everything and we got on the road, all my nerves vanished and I realized it was just in my head. I would recommend taking your road test here in a car that you know. I passed with a few mark downs (I answered a few of the hypothetical situation questions wrong.). 10/10 experience compared to the first drivers test I took at “Specialized Road Testing” in the Hamtramck location.

Fantastic experience: I was a student at a driving school. I'd like to say that the school is of a high standard. All teachers are professionals in their field. Each teacher has an individual approach to teaching driving. And even if you have not had driving experience before, in this school you will fully gain knowledge. I was lucky to learn driving from instructor Mike. I want to note that he is a professional in his field. I was very worried in the process of driving practice, but the instructor Mike explained very thoroughly and explained the rules of driving in detail. I recommend all this teacher and instructor Mike, because in just a few lessons he will explain and teach how to drive a car correctly, as well as morally support and motivate you. Fantastic experience: I took road and parking training and through out the training my instructor, Mike, was guiding and motivating me. I had a good learning experience with him.

Negative experience: I would not recommend to anyone I know. My child did the road test here. Made an appt they call said can you come earlier. No problem get there they are behind schedule now. There is no organization, we waited for 30 min another driver pulls up and Ban takes them immediately didn't even ask our name to see who went first. We watched 2 drivers attempt to parallel park and multiple times hitting cones and they continued with the test. My child hit no cones but pulled up and back a couple times and failed. I felt some prejudice in this situation.

Positive experience: I got my Drivers License today. I am super duper HAPPY. I had a few classes with Mike and he was so cool. He was so patient with me to handle my nervousness. I think he explained everything in a cool manner. Just listening to him helps us to pass the test rather than overthinking (haha which I did exactly). I am giving 4 stars because calling them and making the appointment was a bit harder for me. Every time I used to get a call back after 8-24 hours from them.

Fantastic experience: My daughter had a wonderful experience today! She work with Mike with parallel parking. This was she second time taking a test. I took her to a different place she did not pass parallel parking. They work with her with parallel parking before she took her test. Mike was very patient with her. The road test instructor Priscilla was amazing!

Fantastic experience: We have been posted to the USA for business and even coming from an English country we still had to retake our leaners and driver's tests. Made an appointment online with the SOS in West Bloomfield for my learners, passed 1st time, just use common sense, 30min in and out if you are early. They gave me my drivers skills test paper and off I went. It has been 30yrs since I took my driver's test and after only 45min with Emileo I passed, he was brilliant as an instructor and tester. My wife will be next and we highly recommend this business, especially if you a foreign national in Michigan. Call them, don't mail and they will get you going within a few hours.
