Fantastic experience: I was a VERY nervous driver with little experience so I took the 15hr package. My tutor, Jassmine Castro, made it where 15 hours was overkill. Not only did she teach me how to drive safely but she also made driving fun. Fantastic experience: From the moment I met Jassmine for my first driving lesson, she put me at ease. She took time to understand what I knew and what scared me about driving. I thought that driving for 2 hour per lesson would have been boring but boy did Jassmine prove me wrong. She created an ambiance in the car that made me so relaxed that the time went so quickly. I will say that Jassmine is amazing because not only did she improve my driving, but she taught me road safety. Every opportunity she got she told me what not to do and what the correct thing to do was. She corrected all my mistakes without me realizing that I was being corrected. On the day of my driving test I was in full panic mode once again Jassmine’s calm reassurance made me believe that I got it and guess what I got it. Yes, I passed my test and was told by the examiner actually said that I did amazing that is all thanks to you Jassmine. You did it with me and I can't thank you enough. Jassmine Castro you are AMAZING and an asset to your company. You are an amazing instructor, and I would highly recommend you.

Fantastic experience: Victor, Linda, and Suzanne are awesome. My great great niece had bad experiences at Snydersville DMV which made her very anxious. Victor took the time to explain the different sessions they had and then he also had a 3 way conversation with myself and Becca explaining everything thoroughly and recommending what session he thought would be most beneficial. He was very positive and made her feel very comfortable. We were kept informed through e- mails by Linda who was so kind. Suzanne the instructor was awesome and made her feel very comfortable before her test in Milford. Thank you all for everything you do. You made one young lady very happy. Would highly recommend to anyone!! Definitely would give you 20 stars if they had that many!!

Fantastic experience: Shortly after receiving my permit, I visited Independence Driving School and inquired about pricing. I booked an appointment for lessons on the same day and was helped with getting a (hard-to-get) quick road test date. Victor followed the process through and constantly reassured me that I would be getting my license. I was a nervous driver (even though I have been driving for years) and they calmed me down. I would recommend any nervous/anxious learners to work with Independence. Today, I can say that I received my license and walked out to greet Victor who was waiting to congratulate me. If you are questioning if you should book lessons with them, it is worth every dollar. You will be learn a lifelong skill!

Fantastic experience: Everything in life consists of daily challenges. Some of these challenges are impossible to overcome without support and correct guidance. I needed guidance for my C qualification; and, being a newly arrived immigrant, everything seemed to be very difficult. However, we count Independence Driving School & CDL Center LLC of Stroudsburg. It was certainly one of the most assertive choices we made. In addition to excellent service, advisor Victor was highly punctual, professional and kind during driving classes. I was approved very positively and I owe him my gratitude. Congratulations to the Independence team!

Fantastic experience: Just passed and got my drivers license a week ago thanks to Jassmine ! She explains everything in detail and is very patient and made me feel super comfortable behind the wheel. Jassmine makes sure you get lots of practice before the Road test, also her teaching method on parallel made it a lot easier for me where this was where I had the most trouble before . Has anxiety...and Chris...he was firm yet gentle with him and taught him to drive with confidence...the confidence he never had before. Fantastic experience: I had my new york license and changed it to Pennsylvania to have a better career opportunity. I looked at many other cdl schools and none of them gave me the confidence I needed to accomplish my dreams. Fantastic experience: I definitely recommend this school they help me a lot with the driving lessons and was able to get my driving test done threw them. Fantastic experience: I signed up for the 6-hour course and honestly, it was worth every penny! Chris was my instructor, and he made it absolute that I would ace my test on the first try. I took my last lesson yesterday, then followed up with the road test and undoubtedly I have aced the road test and am now a licensed driver! Fantastic experience: I highly recommend this driving school. I went back and forth with myself about paying for lessons for my teen, since I was completely capable of teaching her myself. However, since I’d never taught anyone how to drive before I decided maybe it was a good idea. I am so happy I did. Jasmine was her instructor and she was amazing with her. She actually had her on the highway by her second lesson! I definitely wouldn’t have had the guts to do that with her. She seems to relate well teens, which made my daughter very comfortable. My daughter gained more and more confidence with each lesson. It was worth every penny!

Fantastic experience: I paid for 6 hours of driving school after getting my permit and felt so much more confident, so I purchased the 2 hour practice and use of the company vehicle on the road test and passed first try! it was a breeze! Fantastic experience: Independence gave me the proper tools to succeed with my CDL Class A License. My instructor Tino was amazing and professional, patient while teaching me the skills needed to pass all the required skills to obtain my license. Victor is not only a great person, coach, mentor, friend, but now I could call him family. He really should consider being an inspirational speaker. One day in class, it was a little more challenging with the parallel parking and he lifted my spirit and padded my shoulder and told me you got this no worries. Independence has changed myself & my family’s life seeing that my wife was also a student and Victor, in my opinion, did the impossible by teaching her to drive, next is my daughter. That being said I highly recommend independence driving school not only are they pro’s but they treat you like family and that to me means everything. Fantastic experience: I was so nervous and such a bad driver so I decided to take classes with this school and I got Christopher as my instructor literally the best he was so patient with me , he was very nice and held great conversation made me feel extremely comfortable after 3 lessons he took me to my test yesterday and I passed on my first try. He was just as excited as I was. Deff recommend this school and Chris as the instructor.

Fantastic experience: Hey future Truck drivers, this is the place for Men and Women to come and learn truck driving skills. I needed help alley dock and straight back, and finally I understood. The 1 to 1 student and instructor ration, helped out. If you want a better chance to pass your CDL and have a better understanding on how the tractor trailer operates go to Independence Driving School especially if you're anywhere in Bartonsville, Stroudsburg PA or surrounding areas. Location is convenient, instructors are experienced and knowledgeable. Linda the Office Manager is friendly and very helpful setting up appointments. Heads up! If you don't come here, eventually you will. So get it right the first time, skills and the understanding of the truck was very important to me. Good luck everybody! See you on the road.

Negative experience: Not impressed. It is not 6 1-hour sessions as I thought but 3 2-hour sessions. 2 hours of driving can be exhausting. How do they expect a teen to benefit from that? They never took my son on a highway and only did parallel parking because he asked. I specifically let them know in advance that he had some anxiety. My son said the teacher was not very helpful but just said what was the problem not how to do it better. I wouldn't waste my money again. Edit: First, thank you for violating his rights by publicizing his medical condition, i expect you to edit the comment to delete that. Second, I stated i would let you know how he felt after 6 hours but did not outright refuse 12 hours (which of course you will recommend as it makes you more money.) He said he did not feel like he was learning well from the instructor. Third, highway driving should have been covered specifically because of where I live (between 2 major highways). Finally, do you have a reason for 2 hour sessions which would be stressful to any new driver?

Fantastic experience: Special shout out to Chris my driving instructor !! I have had driving lessons elsewhere in the past and had the worst experience and the most impatient instructor. So needless to say I was pretty nervous to have lessons again.I googled driving schools and because the reviews were so high I decided to give this place a shot.I am so happy we picked independence driving school. I am an anxious person and I need someone who is patient and can speak to me calmly. Immediately Chris was very polite and I was very comfortable. He was very encouraging and very knowledgeable. I had the 12 hour course and it was worth every penny. My driving has improved so much since the first lesson. I am now a licensed driver on my first attempt. Scheduling my lessons was also pretty easy even with how busy they can get they somehow make it work. So relieved to finally have my license I never imagined I would be a driver thank you Chris for the confidence on the road !!

Fantastic experience: Dedicated staff, who caters to student's needs, they also provide one on one training to focus more on the student's success. The CDL instructor is firm in her teachings and has the knowledge so students will actually learn what they need to pass their CDL examine, I would refer anyone who wants to get their CDL to this school.

She made me feel very comfortable and her formula to learn the skills are easy to understand and master. Victor, The owner of the school is the coolest guy you’ll ever meet. Fantastic experience: I was teaching my daughter to drive, and while I consider myself a safe and good driver, I am not a professional, so we decided to hire Independence Driving School to provide my daughter with a few lessons. I am so happy that we made this decision. My daughter had Jassmine, and from the first moment we met, I knew she was in the best hands. Jassmine not only taught her all the things that I didn't or wouldn't have thought of, she gave her more confidence and assurance behind the wheel. She made her feel comfortable and taught her the necessary skills she needed to pass her drivers test on her first attempt! YAY! I was so happy with Jassmine and her teaching skills and warm personality, so much so, that when it's time for my younger daughter to learn to drive, I'm hoping Jassmine will still be teaching so I can enlist her skills again. We highly recommend not only Jassmine, but this school over all. Working with Linda to schedule appointments was also a smooth process. Linda is also an asset to this company as she is friendly and accommodating. Both ladies were wonderful to work with.

Fantastic experience: I got my license today and it’s all thanks to my instructor Jassmine! Jassmine made my overall driving experience and journey memorable, fun, and most of all safe. I was definitely anxious coming into it but she made sure to work at my pace while also pushing me out of my comfort zone a bit. She was always honest with me, hyped me up all the time, and was very personable. I was comfortable with her since day one because of her loving personality. She gave me very good and important tips to remember for the future and spiked a confidence in myself that I didn’t see happening in the beginning. I definitely recommend Jassmine! She’s the best. I’ll miss her jokes and being around her for sure. But I will always say she’s got you and genuinely cares about her students.

I was able to take 4 classes and my road test without a hitch. My daughter 15 years exactly to the date took her road test and passed with the assistance of Independence driving school. Fantastic experience: I recommend this driving school for anyone new to driving. My instructor Chris was both knowledgable and patient with me and my older brother. We both passed in the same day.

Fantastic experience: I have to start out by saying before my teen even was of age to drive i would see the driving schools vehicle at his high school in Stroudsburg teaching other students how to park and I already knew that this would be the driving school to teach my son how to drive. I spike with Victor whom was extremely patient, very Informative and kind to speak with over the phone. And then he paired my son up with "JAG" a true Blessing. Jag was very patient, respectful, detailed oriented and caring. He communicated with me and my son very professionally and gave me great and honest insight on my sons progress, he motivated Javell every step of the way. I would highly recommend Jag. I will also be requesting him to be my daughters instructor as well.

Fantastic experience: I signed up for their 9-hour program, but soon after I realized I signed up with the wrong driving school. (There is another driving school by the same name in Monroe County NJ.) I gave them a call and explained the error to their answering service and was I given a call back the next day. I explained my situation to the man on the phone, Victor, and he was extremely helpful and understanding. I was given a full refund to my card after the weekend passed. While I did not attend the driving school, I applaud the business’s professionalism! I would naturally recommend this driving school as a result.

Fantastic experience: My driving intructor, Jake, made learning driving very easy and understandable for me. With his help I was able to pass my driving test effortlessly. I would recommend to anybody that is nervous about driving or is new and needs help. 10/10

Fantastic experience: I had a wonderful experience with Chris, he made me feel relaxed and he was very easy and fun to get along with!! I thought I would absolutely flunk the parallel parking part of the test but he made sure I had it completely down in my head with a very easy and memorable technique and I passed on the second try! I also met Victor the day of my second test and he was also wonderful and very good at calming you down, I was literally breathing so hard and could feel my heart beating out of my chest but he really calmed me down, Chris too! I am very thankful I had Chris as a driving instructor, he made driving lessons a lot more fun and stress free than they should be! I would recommend this school to anyone!! Fantastic experience: I'm incredibly grateful to Victor as my driving instructor. He was wonderful, patient, and kind. I had bad anxiety and zero driving experience prior to Independence Driving School but with these lessons I was able to pass my driving test on the first attempt. Thank you so much!!!

Fantastic experience: I was very pleased with my driving instructor , Jaj. Not only did he build my confidence , he made me a defensive driver, to always be aware and to always stay safe. Each lesson I felt progressively better than the last and , when it was time to take my test , I instantly knew that I had what it took. He helped me grow in aspects I wouldn’t ever think of , he has a great personality and such a pure heart. This was well worth the money spent. Would recommend him to everyone I know!

Fantastic experience: Jag was an amazing driving instructor. I’ve had driving experience in the past, however I came to Independence Driving School to fine tune my driving and become a better and more complete driver and Jag was a great help. I was especially scared of parallel parking and in just one lesson, I felt so much better with parallel parking. Fantastic experience: My daughter just got her first driving lesson from Victor. My daughter has some anxiety and, is extremely cautious around new people. Victor assured me and my daughter that she would feel comfortable. My daughter felt extremely at ease. At the end of her "great" session, she was confident, she loves Victor!

Fantastic experience: My instructor was Chris and I can't say enough good things about him and the way he teaches and guides you to drive. His method for parallel parking is a guaranteed way to pass that part of the driving test. I felt comfortable and my nervousness quickly went away with his calm demeanor. My last lesson we went over the test route over and over again. After 3 lessons I passed my driving test! Thank you so much Chris!!!

Fantastic experience: I was referred to Independent Driving School by a lady and her daughter who had taken driving lessons with them. My son is a 20 yr. old college student at ESU. He kept delaying getting his license due to Covid. He took the 9 hr. course, which included taking him to the DMV to take his driver's license test. I like the fact that they picked him up at the college right after his class, then took him for his 2-hr. lesson. Today he came home very happy after having passed the test. Victor took extra time with him today, went over the whole driving test, then drove him up to Milford to take the test. He then drove him back to my house in Bangor. How cool is that? The car they use is a Toyota Corolla with a backup camera, so it's an easy car to learn on. I highly recommend Independence Driving School. They are thorough and professional.

Fantastic experience: There aren’t enough good things I can say about this school. I failed my test two times prior to deciding that driving school was what I needed. Victor is the BEST! He was kind, attentive and gave me guidance when I got in my head and messed up. Not once was a made to feel bad or like I couldn’t do it during every lesson. I passed my test bc of him! Fantastic experience: I'm a person who suffers with generalized anxiety so doing a road test had my anxiety through the roof. When I tell you! They are so patient and professional, they give you the best advice and got me through parallel parking even when I made several mistakes they made sure I understood and I was able to get my license.
