Fantastic experience: Great school to learn to drive and get your CDL. Mr Juan and Mr Gary are great instructors. I had ZERO experience with driving manual and driving with a trailer. Thanks to Juan and Gary, I was able to drive manual in a 2 day span. Very patient instructors. Taught me the pre trip, backing maneuvers, pointers for the road. Had me completely prepared for the state exam on test day. On the day of the exam, every section was completely broken down before it was administered. Passed on the first time with no hiccups. Overall Chris, Mike Juan and the entire ICDS staff is very professional, friendly and helpful. 10/10 recommend to get your CDL from here if you’re in Central FL

Fantastic experience: I decided on Interstate Commercial Driving School after checking out some other schools. This school was the most professional compared to the others with the best facility, maneuvering course and equipment to prepare you to be successful in taking the driving test. Ray is a great instructor and works with you until you get it. Chris keeps you on schedule to get it done. I highly recommend this school to anyone looking to successfully achieve their CDL.

Fantastic experience: A wonderful and rewarding experience! This school is by far in a league of its own. Very grateful for Mr.Chris patiently directing me through each step I needed to take prior to enrolling in the class, as well as the friendly and professional atmosphere of the entire facility. You won't fail with these guys knowledge and experience!! The examiners let you take your time, so you aren't nervous or rushed!! Negative experience: Wow to see all the positive reviews must be the employees posting them.let me tell you the truth.ive had my CDL for 8 years I only needed to get the restriction for auto transmission taken off and I know how to drive a manual but the place I originally took my test did not have a manual truck available so the restriction was put on.first off they had had limited trucks because 3 of their trucks were broke down because they are all old trucks.all the trucks I see don't even run off def fluid they are so old.second the instructor put me in a truck that said had to be double clutched.that is not a requirement to pass a manual test and something you will learn in the field if you had to drive one that requires you to do so.third the instructor was trying to say I need to do the brake test that I get up to 5 mph and hit the brakes to see if it pulled to one side and also said I needed to pull out my air knobs for tractor and trailer one at a time and push the gas petal to make sure they held also not a requirement to pass the test.soon as he failed me he immediately asked if I was going to go set up another date to retest again.i drove almost 3 hours because it was cheaper than most places but I highly recommend you do your research this place is a scam and only wants your money.if it's not a requirement then it shouldn't be on the test bottom line.its too much information that you dont need and will learn in the field if need be.what a scam

I came here without a minute of seat time in a big rig and a few weeks later I feel I am a proficient commercial driver with all the necessary skills to excel in a career in this industry. Fantastic experience: Came here with absolutely no experience driving a semi truck or shifting. All the instructors were amazing! A big shoutout to Juan, Tracy, Gary, and Brandon each one of them I learned something unique that helped me overcome the final test. From day 1 to test day the instructors provided amazing instruction working with each student independently if needed. Instructors did an amazing job focusing on each students needs to accomplish the main goal of passing the final state exam. The trucks provided for practicing were in great condition. In summary I would not have chosen a different place to get my CDL. Fantastic experience: I want to say Thank You to Juan, Kenny, Brent, and Gary for making the transition to a Professional Driver as smooth as possible. They have a great selection of Trucks to train on and a passion to see you succeed from the day you start, till the day that you pass your test. I was able to pass first try and had my choice of several job offers in less than a week after graduating! I decided to go with a great local tanker company and would recommend anyone who is thinking about making the jump to just go ahead and do it! They were fair priced and very knowledgeable with every step in the process. From pre-trips to shifting technique you know you are in good hands with ICDS. My class size wasn't too large and I had plenty of time to practice backing up and getting used to driving on every type of road (from country roads to interstate driving); they are the real deal and I would not change a thing if I had to do it again. Most importantly I feel prepared for a growing future in the Commercial Truck Field; and remember the most important things they taught us: Safety first, and always be prepared to learn something new each day! Fantastic experience: Totally recommend this CDL school and testing facility, Mike and Roy are the best ,honest, humble and very helpful all the time. Little more than a year came here for my Road test and was a great experience. Now got my wife here for the complete test, took her few tries but couldn't be happier and thankful. Negative experience: You should really follow the speed limit when training truck drivers. 45 means 45, not 55 so you have to run red lights heading south on us19. If you want to become a truck driver I would look for a different school. Plate 285 9CK

Negative experience: Ayer tome mi test en esta escuela y apesar de que me queda a 3 horas de mi casa cuando llegue ala oficina las secretarias y los intructores TODOS SON UNOS RACISTAS me hicieron sentir como basura y el intructor me hablaba de tan mal manera que me puse tan nervioso y falle mi road test. Fantastic experience: Finally 3weeks done, one of my goals accomplished and got my CDL. I truly feel I picked the right school to get me started on the right track. Totally 1st class and good ppl from the front office, to adm. office and all the instructors were on point in making sure the students and I were well informed and taken care of knowledge wise as well as skill in handling the trucks. Fantastic experience: ICDS came recommended from a friend of mine. It was very far from my house, had to make alot of arrangements just to make this work because it's a 3 week course for Class A. We missed alot of time right in the middle of it because of the hurricane. The instructors made sure we didn't miss any time and offered students weekend hours and even holiday time. Not sure how many people would do that, but these guys did. I passed, and received my Class A CDL license. Much respect to the instructors who are patient, informative and just straight up good guys.

Fantastic experience: Excellent place to get your CDL!!! Very friendly and knowledgeable staff and trainers. Myself and a few others from work have been here for Class A testing, I will be sending more here shortly for testing as well. We drove down from Tallahassee, Fl to test with these guys. We watched their YouTube videos and they are second to none when it comes to pre-trip and skills testing! Only advice I can offer, watch the videos over and over. Slow down and don’t be nervous; the trainers are there to help! If you fail; brush it off! Failure is a great educator! I failed my road test on my first attempt, came back the next week and nailed it! All thanks to ICDS and the great staff.

Fantastic experience: I passed my Class A with air brakes CDL test today (8/15/2023) on my first try. Everyone I interacted with was Gina, Tracy, Brett, Gary, and Ray and they were all awesome. On my behind the wheel training Gary let me and another student drive the truck around and let us get comfortable with it. He went over the things I was confused on over and over until I got it correctly, even staying past scheduled time for me to have everything down. Everyone here is absolutely awesome and I wouldn’t go anywhere else. They are all extremely nice people and enthusiastic. They want you to pass. If you give 100%, they will give 110. I can not stress this enough, they are absolutely AWESOME people. I will definitely be recommending this school to my friends and family interested in obtaining a CDL. I already have and it hasn’t even been 12 hours since I passed. I have nothing but good things to say about this place.

From day one with Chris, everything was explained to me clearly, and they kept me up to date regarding my progress and what I needed to work on throughout the schooling process. Fantastic experience: During my three weeks at ICDS in June-July 2023, I had an unforgettable experience. Big Juan, Gery, Brett and Kenny are amazing folks who have been very helpful in my training. They also have a wonderful environment where the students help each other make everything much easier. I spent three amazing weeks learning and preparing for my exam at this location and I got it on my first time. I won't ever forget my Mack #309 10 speed, oh boy!!! and The Black Beauty Wonderful School, Wonderful Staff!!! I strongly recommend anyone interested in taking part in their training program to do so. This school is VERY serious in in teaching you all you need to know to get your CDL. Fantastic experience: I really learned a lot in such a short amount of time. All the teachers are great but, The “legendary” **Tracy Rash** is the greatest! Her methods of grouping engine parts with similar functions are phenomenal! This method made the pre-trip test an lot easier. She’s a former teacher with plenty experience and is very adamant about her job! I will always recommend people to this driving Academy!

Fantastic experience: After researching CDL schools, I came across ICDS in Crystal River FL. I visited a few schools to evaluate the correct fit for me. I decided on ICDS initially because I thought they had an all encompassing campus and what appeared to be a friendly, competent staff. I did find other schools that on the surface appeared to be less expensive, but after research I found they had "extra costs" that were already included in the ICDS package. Also the other schools did not have the level of expertise and professionalism of the Instructors, or the trucks and trailers to train with hands on. When I looked at the whole picture, ICDS, in my eyes is a great value. Juan (Lead Instructor), started the course on day one in a very professional manner setting the tone for what was to follow. From the beginning he stated that the Instructor group would “have our backs” and they would make sure we had all the knowledge and skills required to walk out with CDL in hand. The professional Instructors, Kenny, Brett, Wayne and Joe did just that. When the time came for the actual pre-checks and road test with the examiner, I was confident in my abilities and passed first time. I had a 40 year career in aviation and had never driven a large truck before I arrived at ICDS. I was comfortable and confident in my abilities to drive a large semi truck when I left. The ICDS staff was always friendly and there to help in any way. Also, you do not have to go to another facility to take the final exam and road test. The examiners are on site and you test in the vehicles you trained in. Other schools send their students to ICDS for the final exam and road test. I enjoyed my time with the crew at ICDS and look forward to visiting them when back in the area.

Fantastic experience: Just Passed my CDL A Class With ICDS Today after their 3 week Program! Words can’t describe how much I Appreciate and Love this school! The Instructors are TOP Notch and know there stuff and they really care about everyone. Out of 16 students in my class with 5 instructors everyone passed with no Restrictions. Even the ones that where struggling from day 1 to the Last the instructors NEVER gave up on the students. There Motto was No Man Left behind and they Went by it. Tried to think of a Negative about this school but there are truly none. You get everything From Driving time and on the road to backing and Pretrip. Even One on One if your Falling behind! Fantastic experience: I graduated from their class A cdl course today. I'd give them ten stars for their effort and commitment to making sure every student gets the attention they need to successfully pass the course if I could. Juan, Brett, Wayne, Kenny, and Joe are all great instructors, and former drivers themselves with a ton of experience and knowledge about the industry to share with you. They're a great group and they were always happy to answer any questions I had whether they directly related to the course or not. The first day of class they said "If the student gives 100%, we will give 110%". They meant it, I noticed and saw how they would take turns helping anyone who was struggling in certain areas. There was still a few students left whom were testing after me, but after taking the tests myself and seeing how the others progressed through the three weeks, I am confident that our class will have a 100% pass rating. Overall, just an absolutely great experience, and probably the best school around. Even the recruiters who came to the school to talk to us students said that. One even said "If you guys would have picked one of these other schools I wouldn't even be able to offer you a job".

Fantastic experience: I recently completed a 3-week trucking course at ICDS, and I must say it was an amazing experience. The school was well organized and structured, and the instructors were phenomenal. They were knowledgeable, patient, and always willing to help. I had a tough time with some of the maneuvering tests, but Brett and Juan never gave up on me. They provided me with all the necessary guidance and support I needed to pass the tests. They always went above and beyond to ensure that I understood the concepts . Overall, I highly recommend ICDS to anyone who is looking to start a career in the trucking industry. Fantastic experience: If you’re searching for a school to get your CDL look no further. ICDS is THE BEST school hands down in the entire state. The instructors are passionate about what they do and will help you every step of the way on your path of becoming a professional truck driver. No manual experience? No trailer experience? No worries! I came to this school without ever touching a clutch or towing a trailer. The instructors helped me gain the skills necessary to complete the curriculum and gain my CDL license. There are several trucks to learn in and get the feel how they operate. No other school are you going to receive as much drive time as ICDS provides. An extra bonus is you’re able to take your state license test here at the school. No need to find a state certified examiner! There are several trucking companies that will also come to the school giving you insight into the world of trucking and a possible option for recruitment. You won’t find that at many schools. These companies come to ICDS for a reason, because they train the most professional and safe drivers in the business. Fantastic experience: The ICDS driving school was amazing. All of the instructors are very professional, know the trucking industry, inside and out, and are very skilled driving instructors. The school is very safety oriented and will teach you so much more than just what you need to pass a driving exam. They will "make you a Truck Driver!"

The instructors, including Mike and Tracy, are as professional as they come. They truly have something special there! One thing that I have not seen mentioned is that (if you wish to) you can leave with a new family after your time spent there. I am very grateful for my short time spent there. Fantastic experience: I recently had the opportunity of attending Crystal River Interstate trucking School this past December to obtain my CDL Class A license. The school was quick and efficient in how they taught us everything we needed to learn to obtain our CDL. They were very informative with lots of information regarding the trucking industry and the opportunities that are there. All the instructors were amazing and patient with the students but I especially would like to point out Juan. He took his time with me and made me feel confident even when I had days where I felt I was struggling but he saw the potential in me and pushed me to keep at it, that I was doing great. I’d also like to recognize Joe and Wayne, they were down to earth and also for their guidance. At ICDS you are not trained to be test takers, you are trained to be truck drivers I would highly recommend Crystal River Interstate to anyone who is trying to obtain their CDL.

Fantastic experience: This school is absolutely amazing. Instructors will provide you with the knowledge and are hands on from day one till you test out. The facility and vehicles are great. All types of trucks from automatic to manuals. Glad I passed and have my cdl but sad class is over. Everyday of class was exciting and enjoyable. I live in Tampa and drove over an hour, as did many of my classmates. Worth every mile. If you looking to get your cdl and actually learn how to drive this is the place.

Fantastic experience: Excellent school, exceptional instructors! This school is #1 in central Florida, it is the school you want to attend to receive training and obtain your CDL. They have a fantastic program that will teach you everything you need to properly inspect the vehicle (form A/B/C, and coupling), conduct in cab inspections and LAB test. You will have plenty of practical experience in all the backing maneuvers with an almost unlimited time in the yard each day to get in a truck and practice. Plenty of road time in actual trucks in which you will be taught how to handle the truck, shift gears, manage your truck in real world applications. Highly recommended, best school in central Florida!

Fantastic experience: I'm currently in school now at ICDS and having a blast!! I'm learning A LOT in very little time..yes I'm basically a local here, which makes it super convenient since I only live 45 minutes away from the school....2 weeks left for me, so wish me luck!! All I can say is y'all better get your CDL from here its the best so far for the money ! Fantastic experience: Mike was knowledgeable and friendly with informing me on the eldt training and scheduled me quickly. Definitely worth the experience and hands down the most reasonable rate in the entire state. I wouldn’t hesitate to use them for any of your Cdl needs

Fantastic experience: I attended 1/2020.. I was one of the more weaker CDL A students .. I had a hard time backing and although, I started out on stick, I quickly gave up (downshift dummy) and went to Automated (BTW a great decision for myself).. This is a program to get you a CDL and to help get an entry level position. Its a good program keeping that in mind. I want to thank the owners for having patience with me in allowing me to be a backing dunce but, soon after overcoming that and passing my test. My advice is to do a mock pre-trips *by yourself* everyday away from everyone. Remembering and challenging yourself more and more as time passes. It's a lot to remember so repetition is key. I have been driving for 2 years now and have worked for 2 different companies. I have a my own company set up and will be doing lease purchasing soon on the road to owning the truck outright. Fantastic experience: I researched many schools prior to attending ICDS! After attending and graduating 2 wks ago I am 100% confident that I chose the best school in the state! From day one, we were in the yard and driving the trucks. It's one thing to teach you the written testing portion (as most other schools only do) but it's a whole other thing to teach you how to drive these big trucks like ICDS does! While attending, daily we literally had other school students coming to ICDS to learn how to actually drive these trucks b/c their schools did not! Honestly, it all starts at the top leadership, to the Instructors - everyone genuinely cares about you! You have 5 instructors for a class size 12 - 18 students from start to finish! I was fortunate enough to land a high paying career only 2 business days after graduating and this was only possible due to the leadership, instructors and curriculum at ICDS! My girlfriend is currently attending ICDS and she feels the same, this is the BEST TRUCK DRIVING SCHOOL in FLORIDA!

Fantastic experience: I had researched several schools before applying to Interstate Truck Driving School. I researched both reviews, price, drive time, and accreditation. By far this school surpassed them all. I enrolled and began classes in February and graduated last week passing both my pretrip and all classes required for cdl class a. The instructors are focused on you succeeding and due to the small classes you get soooo much individualized attention and soooo much time in a truck driving and backing. Each instructor has their own style of teaching by far my favorite was Ms. Deb. She is patient and so knowledgeable teaching you not only how to correctly perform each maneuver, but also teaching you how to correct mistakes when made so that you can apply it to real world. Ms. Deb is the reason I built confidence quickly and learned so much! During my three weeks, I was apply to drive an automatic, 5, 8, 10, and 13 speed with either single axle trailer, full size box trailer or dump trailers. I would highly recommend this school to anyone pursuing there cdl. They also have recruiters come into speak to you with no pressure to sign. Ms. Tracy is very compassionate and wants everyone to succeed and ensures you have everything you need completed prior to the course ending.

Fantastic experience: This is the best school to attend. All of the trainers are passionate about what they do and truly care about their students. They made me feel confident every step of the way. When I felt apprehensive about driving a manual transmission, Jason made sure to work with me and made me feel very comfortable until I had it down. Please put Jason back in the trucks! Fantastic experience: If you are looking to get your CDL and go anywhere other than ICDS your wasting your money! Everyone at this school from the owner all the way down genuinely care about each student. You get plenty of time behind the wheel and the instructors will give you all the attention you need if you are struggling. Mike and Tracy are very passionate about the school and it shows. I learned something from each instructor, which shows how they are different in their driving and how they operate but they all have the same goal of helping each student pass. Positive experience: ITDS was very good. You get plenty of truck time of driving and backing. Class is 3 weeks long with 12 students allowed to 4 istructors. You drive everyday and do backing everyday. Passed all my test on the first try. This school has a high student pass rating. Don't waste your time with other driving schools. ITDS gets you where you need to be to drive a truck. I did it without any experience.

Fantastic experience: Took my cdl class A test here( test only ) No complaints at all about this place even though I was only there to take my test everyone was very friendly even the students there at the school were very friendly some offering words of encouragement as I went to take my test my examiner Mr. Rash was very professional and attentive It was worth the drive from Jacksonville

Adam, Mike, Jason, and Alex were all very helpful and honestly answered any question I had. They made it fun, made me feel confident, and dedicated the time to work on any weak spots. The office staff/testers Tracy, Justin, Mike and Ray were all super friendly, made sure we were progressing and staying as busy as possible in the trucks. Fantastic experience: The staff at ICDS are awesome! They treat you like an adult with courtesy and respect and are truly dedicated to get you to pass your CDL Skills Test and Road Side Exam. I'd like to shout out to Ray Rash, one of the senior instructors and examiner's at the facility. He has so much knowledge and geometrical skills that it makes passing the CDL skills test easy. Ray is truly an asset to the course and knows how to reach students. I would highly recommend anyone who is serious about learning to become a commercial driver.

Fantastic experience: I had the pleasure of taking my road test this morning with Tracy. If anyone is in need of a 3rd party tester for a good price and equipment that won’t fail you this is the place I would recommend. Everything I’ve heard about them turned out to be true. They were very professional from the start. Very thorough too. I learned how to drive commercial vehicles on my own but if I were to do it over I would’ve even went to their training as well. I plan on sending my wife there for her test and I’m recommending any and everyone to interstate truck driving school(smg cdl school) for training and testing. I couldn’t drive a manual car when I first got there now I can drive and double clutch a semi! Fantastic experience: Super glad I went here... well worth it and the trainers are great... its a relaxed environment.. now that doesn't mean you can just screw off but it does allow you to focus on the things you need to work on... the only reason you won't pass is if you needed help understanding something or practice and didn't speak up... plenty of yard time and road time.. From day one, you are in the driver’s seat learning how to operate the truck. Adam, Graham and Buzz are top notch instructors with tons of experience. Fantastic experience: Can not explain how great this school was! I was deciding between two schools in the tampa area and once I found out about here was another option but by far the best option. Student to instructor ratio is better than anywhere else. You'll get more seat time than you could want so plenty of time to practice. They are expanding the school and building a new facility which will just take the already great experience to a whole new level. Adam, graham and buzz will teach you everything you need or want to know, answer any questions and keep you entertained and learning. This place is truly one of a kind and I'm glad I chose ICDS for my driving school!
