Fantastic experience: Just left the Neosho School on the 18th already out driving. Just wanted to say Dale and Tammy Burns are fantastic instructors I'm no one to leave Google reviews but these guys went above and beyond during training. They are exceptional instructors and if your looking to get a CDL you can't ask for better more caring individuals to train you. 10 out of 10 would recommend.

Fantastic experience: Amazing opportunity,either some experience or none at all,the clemet trainers will get you there.I went to the neosho branch worked with Doyle clemet, Dale and Tammy wonderful professional people went above and beyond to see me succeed due to there hard work and training, and goals for me I was able to pass 1 and done.

They went out of their way to help myself, in my own personal life situation!!! Not only did they say that they cared about my education and future success, they showed it!!! Learning from Bret and Austin, including Chalice, Jim, Cecil, and RJ, was well worth the time and finances spent there!!! They were all very understanding, regardless of any of personal beliefs they had about it!!! Tammy and her husband Dale, were also very supportive in my education while I was a student there, as well!!! This is by far, in my opinion, one of the best CDL experiences I’ve ever had the privilege of attending and learning from, I would definitely recommend this school to anyone who is looking for a good place to start learning about this industry!!! 5 stars all around for them!!!

Fantastic experience: I have to say that things have been pretty hard for me in the past with inflation, work schedules, and just overall work. I needed something to push me to exceed towards a path that would be fulfilling. I came to the Clement Trucking Academy with the assumption that it would be an old-school rough and tough place, but it wasn't. The instructors had answers for every possible question and concern. Even the unasked questions. Everyone was extremely polite, personable, and patient. They presented this academy as though it was home, and everyone was welcome back for the holidays. Most places are not known to have the owners present with students and directly engaged with them. The fact that they were proved just how much they cared about drivers and the roadways, which are the veins of this country. I just want to say thank you all SO much for helping me accomplish so much and setting me up with a successful future. If anyone is contemplating on pursuing a career in truck driving and don't have the confident to take the next step, I would definitely recommend attending Clement Trucking Academy. It will be WELL worth it.

Negative experience: They do not train enough. They want us to fail so we have to pay to continue. No one in our class passed the test on first try. This school is not a good training school

Fantastic experience: Staff where very knowledgeable and they care about you learning the trade. It was enjoyable and easy to learn. If you allow them to they will teach you alot more then just the basics. But listing and following instructions is on you. Fantastic experience: I took this driving course at a terrible time of year as far as the weather was concerned. We, the students and instructors stood fast and persevered through single digit temperatures and -30° wind chills to keep on learning of the essentials of pre-trip, maneuvers and road driving to help me cross the finish line, even with other chaos happening in my personal life. The faculty stood by me and supported me and because of that, I gained a Class A CDL and will succeed at whatever the next steps are. I cannot ever thank them enough.

Fantastic experience: My job wanted me to get my CDL to help out the other drivers, they told me to find a school. I found Clement truck driving academy. Upon starting the course we were informed that the testing on maneuvers were changing and it was new to them and they would have to adjust training a bit in order to accommodate the new standards. I came to the school with 0 truck driving knowledge or skills. Doyel (the owner) walked us through the study guide and gave us real life knowledge to take the permit tests. I was able to pass all test needed to obtain my permit the first time. Then came maneuvers training. Since it was new to the instructors, we worked together to come up with a best practice to utilize conducting the new process. Then cam road training. Though they were tough, they were tough for a reason. They want you to succeed and sometimes you need to tough love, they give it to you straight forward. Then comes testing time. I did very well on the pre trip inspection, then on my own faults, I failed the maneuvers. The academy wasted no time in getting me another chance the very next morning. But before that, an instructor spent some of his time to go over with me the area I failed after work hours. The next morning I took and passed the test. I am thankful to all the instructors at this academy, who went above and beyond to teach, coach and mentor me to obtain my CDL. I can't thank them enough nor can my company, as they sent me to NY. On my first trip. Again, thank you for all of your time and efforts Clement and instructors. If you are looking to obtain your CDL. I highly suggest giving clement truck driving academy a serious look into. They want to see you succeed. Because if you succeed, they succeed.

Fantastic experience: First thing I noticed was how humble the owner and the instructors are, they give such a family feeling and welcoming that makes everything more comfortable and stress free. Fantastic experience: Clement truck driving academy is a great place to learn. 4 weeks may seem like a long time, but I'm constantly appreciating what I learned in this course. Also, they are an EQUAL OPPORTUNITY school. There was no Favoritism over the male or female students. If you are willing to learn, they are willing to teach! I became very close with these kind people, as they helped me to master everything I needed to pass the test. They made me feel confident in my driving and in taking my test. When it was all over, I stood with my test scores in hand. Actually a little torn between the happy feeling of ready to leave and get driving, and the feeling of not wanting to leave those I had come to know. Being the only female in my class, I can say that I was treated with respect and no different than any other student. It was fantastic! I began training not having ever been in a semi truck. When I completed the coursework, I could not only drive a semi safely on the streets and interstate, but I also knew the parts of the truck, what those parts did, and how to check their mechanical functions for safe operation. The owners and instructors have many years of experience, and they are more than willing to share that knowledge with students. They truly want students to succeed. They are all personable, kind, and caring. if you are interested in getting a CDL, do yourself a favor and attend training at Clement Truck Driving Academy. Walked in day one with zero knowledge in commercial motor vehicles, and graduated having passed my driving exam handedly, thanks entirely to the amazing family and staff. Fantastic experience: If you are serious about learning to drive a truck, this is a great school. If you are not serious, you probably won’t like it. It is not like going to college. It is very structured, a bit like being back in high school. But, they will try to train you to a standard higher than what you need to pass the state exam. You will get a lot of driving time and personal instruction as needed. They may sometimes put stress on you, or tell you a truth you don’t want to hear; but, it is all with the goal of making sure you can be a solid, safe driver and succeed in your driving career. Real life driving situations can be stressful as well. If you can do well at Clement, passing the state exam should be no problem. Do even moderately well in the school and you will be well prepared!

Fantastic experience: I have just graduated from Clement truck driving academy. You could not ask for better people to teach you the in's and outs of the truck driving business. With many years experience they use their knowledge to show you the proper techniques to successfully pass your class A or class B CDL. Negative experience: Will never send another trainee to this company again. Had to privately finish trainees training with personal truck and testing. Do not recommend not even to my worst enemy. Only recieved certificate when showing he passed drivers test (which was completed on my time). Too many problems with this company. Highly recommend paying the extra money and send trainee somewhere else.

Fantastic experience: They know truck driving. I have a CDL but had not driven in 20 years. They showed me in the first 2 days that I had forgotten more than I thought. They want you to succeed a d with the no nonsense, your there to learn approach They had me done with the refresher course in 2 weeks. I left confident in my ability to drive a truck not just ready to drive. If you want to learn this is the place. Everyone there is there to help not just teach.

Fantastic experience: The folks here are the BEST!! They REALLY CARE about you! I was in dire financial straits, but they worked with me, and supported me in every way possible. I had been off the road to have and raise my son, and hadn’t even been IN a big truck for 17 years, but they got me up to speed and with their help, and by the Grace of God, I passed my tests and got my Class A CDL again in only 1 week! Did I mention I have ADHD with Dyslexia & Dyscalculia?!!! I just can’t say enough good about them; they are the Best!!

Fantastic experience: I hardly ever leave reviews in general especially a good one for that matter! These men at this school dedicate their life to helping truck drivers of the future advance to be successful. They don’t do things the way other schools do from what I understand, but that was not an issue for me. Show up, listen, and do as they request. They obtain the knowledge to work with many personalities and that was one of the biggest things I appreciated there! I would not write these things if I did not feel they were true. I was referred by the Joplin career center. I had no idea if I could even drive a truck, but once I got in it I felt much more at ease and enjoyed the learning experience! One of the biggest things I need to mention is that I highly recommend doing as I did and studying as much of the CDL manual as possible before attending this or any school because this will make it so much easier for you when you are in the classroom portion which in turn makes you that much more prepared for written exams. I passed all the endorsements I tested for. Positive experience: First of all I’d like to say before coming to this school I had zero experience driving a truck but By the end of it I was able to successfully demonstrate the minimal requirements for getting my CDL. It’s vary apparent the clements are under a ton of pressure to get every one through the program successfully and they have a lot invested into the school. I was in the truck with other students when the instructor who was driving started texting causing him to come into the oncoming lane of traffic putting everyone’s lives at risk, also the same instructor had us falsify our log books stating we did a 30 min pretrip inspection at 5:00 am when we didn’t even get to school till 5:30 am.

Fantastic experience: So I watched people come in for a week refresh class yea watched people cry because they went to c1 and didn't know any monuvers a pretrip. It really made me see they want to teach you alot not just enough to get out there. The trainers are there for you work with you and wont give up on you. It was sad when I graduated because it did become family .

Negative experience: Real ma and pa type of place. I remember taking a test and they had toddlers screaming just few feet away. Somehow they thought it was appropriate to have employee's/instructor's children in the classroom setting while students were testing.

Fantastic experience: I cannot say enough good things about this facility and the faculty the staff at Clement Truck Driving Academy Will Go Far and Beyond to help you become a truck driver you may show up as a stranger but when you leave you are truly part of the Clement family the staff at Clement truck driving Academy never gave up on me and seen me through until the end

Fantastic experience: I am in the midst of my training (end of week 3) and must say that this a wonderful establishment. The school leadership, starting at the top, is best in class. The instructors are second to none and have a desire to see every student succeed. Prior to attending Clement, I never pulled a trailer (not even a boat), had never driven a large vehicle and my mechanical knowledge was minimal. Clement has given me the knowledge, skills, and ability to drive semi-trailer and understand the mechanics of the vehicle. Clement will work with each student as an individual to ensure that she/he receives the training they need. Clement Truck Driving Academy will NOT give up on ANY student.

Negative experience: Had great respect for this place until found out they went behind my back and told the career center that trucking wasn't for me, among other things. Your school called the career center before i even took my test. I was set up to fail. Before calling the career center and saying it wasn't for me didn't even talk to me about the test.

They each have different knowledge accumulated over the years and will try different methods and tricks they have learned to try to help you to pick it up based off your learning style. Fantastic experience: CTDA covers all the bases and more. Introductory daily instruction includes federal regulations, map usage, CSA standards, and much more with a superb in class instructor who goes the extra miles to make sure you are thinking clearly and understanding completely. After several days of in class instruction you will begin to learn about a variety of important things including a comprehensive pre-trip inspection, numerous maneuvers, and OTR instruction which includes city driving, highway driving, emergency stops, proper shifting, proper braking, and a high variety of unique situations to ensure you are getting the highest quality training as possible. If YOU listen AND hear AND trust the instructions you receive then not only will you successfully earn you CDL A license and/or refresh your training, but you will also attain knowledge beyond the basics to help you be successful in your career. A goal there is to help you become more than just a basic driver but an excellent driver. I appreciate Doyle, Brett, Henry, Cecil, Austin, Charles, Mrs. Clement, and all of the people who helped me succeed. The accommodations at the Britli Apartments on Beck Lane were excellent. The instructors even would come by and pick you up to take you to school each day if you didn't have transportation. The staff does their best to make you feel like a family member . This means they care about your personal problems while they will also be direct and forward with issues concerning your training. Be respectful and don't abuse their caring attitudes. This will bode well for your training. GET UP EVERY DAY AND GET TO CLASS ON TIME. You can't learn if you aren't there and if you don't want to be there, then don't waste all of the other students and staff's time! Don't abuse the equipment (trucks/trailers/apartments/etc.) or it will be a veryyyy short stay for you. Get a study buddy and........STUDY (Surprise~!) Keep yourself clean for school (nobody likes to sit in a truck with a stinkoid~) Every maneuver or practice test or class situation needs to be treated like it is an on the spot test by the D.O.T. examiners. Pretend like each instance is the real thing and your license depends on it....that way when you do the official test it will seem just like another day and you will pass with ease. Stay hydrated! I recommend a ball cap and sensible sunglasses (but when i did maneuvers, I removed these and it seemed to help me do better). Make sure to check your driver's license and permits regularly to ensure they don't expire during training, so you can go to the local DMV and get them renewed a week or more before they expire so you are always ready when official test dates become available. Get a good night's rest before each class day. DON"T consume alchohol during training...i.e. stay outta the bars and clubs (remember why you came to CTDA...to train and learn). If you have a personal home problem or instruction issue or any issues let Doyle or Austin know immediately. This isn't a grab your entry fee and throw you through the motions school. If you let them help you and trust a little then you will find that your trust will benefit everyone by promoting success. If you win then the school wins because they're about more than money. They're about making great driver's of trucks and successful lives. So if you're interested in being more than just letting the your truck drive you and you want to be the driver and you want a super start to a new life, then I strongly suggest that you seriously consider Clement Truck Driving Academy in Phillipsburg, MO as a top notch choice.
