Negative experience: They are a driving school but they don’t know how to park a car and don’t have any consideration for other people in the neighborhood. Was already complained many times about they leaving their cars taking space for other cars in the parking lot but they don’t care and keep doing it, I don’t think that’s a right way to teach other people how to drive in society.

Ralph was very patient, asked questions and was confident that the two hour brush-up lesson would clear up my concerns (mainly about parallel parking). I am glad I let him guide me. It all went swimmingly and there’s a new driver on the road!

My first time learning I was great but then I went months without practicing so I went back to FiveStar and it rebuilt my confidence in my driving and I ultimately passed my test. Mitch was my instructor and he was great. He was calm and we would be able to talk and it felt like a good time and not just something tedious. I highly recommend FiveStar and Mitch.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Five Star Driving School, and especially my instructor Mitch. I haven’t driven in ten years despite having my license due to severe driving anxiety. I was immediately put at ease during my lessons with Mitch. He was kind, patient, considerate and thorough, I could go on. I’ve already recommended him to friends to take lessons with. Mitch gave helpful feedback and never once got annoyed at any of my mistakes or questions. He understood all the pressures and worries that comes with driving. I left my lessons feeling confident and at ease. I couldn’t believe I felt comfortable enough to drive again after a decade of avoiding it. Not only that, Mitch made me feel like I was competent enough to drive. Mitch went out of his way to show me several options of how to get to my new job ranging from the highway to backroads. Mitch has made a difference in my life, I never thought I’d be capable of driving, yet here I am. I can’t thank him or Five Star Driving School enough.

He made sure to keep the lessons at an appropriate pace for me, and would always make sure I was ready before telling me to try something new. Still, the lessons were efficient, and I was able to get experience in a variety of environments even in the little time we had. He was extremely attentive throughout, and would give me specific feedback so that I was aware of how to improve. I would confidently recommend him as an instructor for any driving student."

Negative experience: Horrible expirence, please avoid coming here! My sibling is now receiving his Liscene late due to the driver (Travis Specifically) not showing up and causing a month delay! He rescheduled twice and wouldn’t be suprised if he would have for the next year. Please save yourself the time and go to DON TRE or anywhere else.

Fantastic experience: I used Behind the Wheel driving school in high school and failed my drivers test 3 times. I even paid for the test day prep. I didn’t take my drivers test again for 10 years. Thomas was an amazing instructor and after 3 lessons with him I passed my drivers test on the first try (the second time haha). Fourth time’s the charm!

Both our son and daughter worked with Sean for behind the wheel training (and brush-up/test day too). He was kind, patient, encouraging and thorough and my kids truly looked forward to their time with him. In three sessions Sean managed to instill a sense of confidence and ease in them that we could see right away. We could not have asked for more (and he even made it easy to schedule our sessions around a busy school/sports calendar). A great experience all around! Fantastic experience: My daughter took her 6 hours behind the wheel with Sean. Sean is the best instructor - thorough, knowledgeable, encouraging, patient, and super easy to communicate with (he is a teacher, no wonder!). Actually the entire experience with Five Star is very good, working with Ammie in the office for scheduling, and with Marius who drove the vehicle to testing site. Marius is very nice too, explaining the key points before the test, and made her feel confident. Highly recommended! Will definitely take my younger one there too.

Fantastic experience: I am a 30 year old non-immigrant in the US who had never driven before in life and so was very nervous when I started the whole driver license process. After reading reviews , I specially requested for Sean to be my driving instructor and we had almost finished with all hours before the lock down started. Sean helped me a lot to get over my nervousness and constantly boosted my courage during practice. Since I lost touch and couldn't practice during the lock down, I failed the first attempt at the road test. But I again booked a couple of brush up sessions with Sean and passed in the second attempt. Sean has been very helpful in the entire process and I wouldn't have had the confidence to drive otherwise.

Even though the dmv can be a headache, Sean was there to answer all of my questions and help me get through it. I’m sure I wouldn’t have been able to pass the test without him. Furthermore, the brush up lesson before my test was very detailed and made me feel confident to parallel park.

Negative experience: I called five star driving school and ask them to set up my appointment for my permit test, although they were cooperative and they were very suggestive and helpful, they let me down. I was going to take my drivers test in formed them via call that I would be arriving within the hour. When I show up the building is empty good job driving school

Fantastic experience: I went to five star driving school in summit NJ and I am so happy that I made the right choice. And it’s worth it. I took lesson with Sean and he was so kind and sweet and very patient with me through my weird driving. I learn so much from Sean, and he never got mad at me when I made bad mistakes, like almost running into another car on the highway lol. So my road test was today and I pass with flying colors thanks to Sean. And the office is so nice any friendly and Ralph was always around. And Sean was around too with Any question you have he will have the answer or he will find out. If you do go to five star I think you should ask for Sean and Marius they are both great. But Sean my go to guy who every you choose.

Fantastic experience: Sean was a patient and wonderful instructor. He was always a few minutes early for her scheduled lessons and friendly. Even though my daughter didn’t pass parallel parking the first time for lack of practicing on her own, we were able to schedule an additional hour with Sean the night before her retake to go over parking and k turns. Not only did she pass Sean actually texted me throughout the day to see how it went. It was like he was personally vested in her passing. Thank you Sean and the other Five Star instructors. With your help we were blessed to have 3 children and a niece get their licenses before the graduated high school.
