Fantastic experience: Allstate Commercial Driving School is an excellent place to get your CDL, whether it’s Class A or B. I recently earned my Class A here and had an amazing experience. The instructors and back office team are outstanding. They are passionate about what they do and truly care about their students’ success. Allstate provides 1 on 1 lessons with instructors. There is a broad selection of instructors who are knowledgeable, supportive, and committed to helping you learn. If an instructor isn’t compatible with your learning style you can request a different instructor and the back office will do their best to meet your needs. The one suggestion I would make is updating the pre-trip video to match the paper copy of the step by step provided and having the instructors teach the pre trip in a way that mirrors the video/paper copy. Overall, if you’re thinking about getting your CDL A or B don’t hesitate. You’re in the right place, just go ahead and make the move. The enrollment process is super easy, the flexibility they have is excellent, and the ENTIRE team goes above and beyond. Allstate Commercial Driver Training School exceeded my expectations!

Fantastic experience: Hands down, THE BEST place to go to obtain your commercial drivers license. I just obtained my class B today thanks to this top notch school. The difference? Ten, one and a half hour PRIVATE lessons. That’s right….. no large groups jockeying for space, trying to watch an instructor teach the ins and outs of driving a truck. You’re one on one here. The instructors are TOP SHELF, knowledgeable, patient and legitimately care about their students success. The support staff (admin) is also fantastic. Tremendous communication. They also provide video instructional tutorials at the facility on Class A and B pre trips that are a MUST to watch as often as possible to ensure your success in conjunction with your lessons. Shortly after signing up, you’ll attend your 8 hour classroom course with “ Uncle Jim”. Jim couldn’t be a nicer guy and his knowledge of the trucking industry, especially HAZMAT, is unmatched. Soon after completion of this course you will begin your lessons. This school has amazing availability….. nights, weekends….. VERY accommodating. I mainly trained with Rob and Nate. I can not say enough positive things about these two fine gentleman. Knowledgeable and easy going, they made me completely comfortable and at ease from the start. I am forever grateful to these men. Their abilities as instructors is a TRUE TESTAMENT to the quality that is Allstate Commercial Driving School.

I think the school works very efficiently, the way they schedule the practices is good, the girls are very efficient at their job, super friendly, the instructors are good, Mr. NORMAN is an excellentand awsome instructor, very dedicated, Mr. PETER is very, very good and committed, he always helped me a lot, Mr. DAVE is a very good instructor and friendly... the only thing I didn't like very much was the condition of the manual trucks, I think they should do an update on some trucks, some transmissions are difficult, and that's normal, they've been used for years by people who are just learning, it's also important that the manual trucks have the wedge for the rpm... I think that since the trucks are excellent and new, the students will have the CDL faster... thanks guys and girls, thanks Allestate School

Fantastic experience: I really enjoyed attending this driving school. At first I was very nervous that 90 minute classes twice a week would not be enough time for me to learn everything and pass the driving test but the instructors here were so amazing that I passed my driving test with flying colors. My three favorite instructors were Jayson, Scott, and Pete. If you have trouble learning maneuvers I highly recommend asking to work with Jayson. Scott was the instructor that taught me how to perfect the Alley Dock, and Pete made sure that I knew everything I needed to know about the road test. I highly recommend attending this school if you are looking to earn your CDL. It was an amazing experience!

Fantastic experience: First off Im gonna start with my personal experience. It is a wonderful school to go, they are very nice and respectful. It’s one on one, the instructors are nice and informative. The Instructor Pete, was really good and informative gave me really good pointers, highly recommend him. The instructor Joseph is really good, He told me a lot in the time I had with him I also highly recommend him. Scott and Laurie of the scheduling team is really respectful, They go off your availability. If you have anything about your schedule just call them. Fantastic experience: Great school, is my second time attending this school. Obtained my CDL class B several years ago and returned for my class A this time. Very flexible schedule and they will attend to your needs, all the instructors are wonderful and very helpful. Very friendly staff and management. Will like to thank all instructors who I worked with for the patience and knowledge each one provided for me and especially Larry who was very helpful and made sure I understood everything I was doing and the reasons why, which was very helpful for me. He made sure I felt comfortable doing all maneuvers but mostly the confidence he had on me which made it easier for me to continue. Again great school to attend wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Fantastic experience: Larry and Bob were the only two instructors there that actually cared and taught me the right things. Roland too, showed me the proper way to shift the non synchronized transmission as well. Those 3 guys, but especially Larry and Bob deserve a raise, a bonus, something. Thanks to them, I passed my test first try. Thank You guys! If it was not for them, I probably would have ended up going somewhere else. I believe the other instructors just do not care like these 2 guys.

Fantastic experience: Had a terrific experience with Allstate training. It was clear the instructors were there to provide me with all the information needed to allow me to pass my test. Communication with the office was clear and easy, specifically Tom, Laura and Scott. I thank all my instructors Rob, Roland, Jim, Jason, and Keith. I was really happy with the three instructors I spent most of my time with. Nate from the get go on my maneuvers was incredible. Norm got me extremely comfortable behind the wheel and helped build my confidence throughout my entire training period. Fantastic experience: I graduated from Allstate today after passing my DMV CDL Class B skills test on my first attempt. All of the instructors where knowledgeable and the staff especially Scott were all incredibly accommodating and helpful with the sign up and with dealing with DMV process. Thanks Allstate!

Fantastic experience: If you’re looking to get your CDL license, Allstate is the place to go to in CT… From their scheduling to the instructors they were all very accommodating to my schedule. The instructors were top notch especially Scott who worked with me before I tested. He made sure I was ready and capable of passing the first time, which I did this past Sunday. Scott’s teaching style is very thorough, ensuring that you understand every aspect of driving and road safety. Nate, on the other hand, brings a calm and encouraging approach which really helps to build confidence behind the wheel. Together, they create a balanced and supportive learning environment. Fantastic experience: Had a great experience at all-state really good group of guys there. I think the man of the hour is Scott he really works his tail off, guy is in charge of scheduling also some class B instructing. that’s a guy who really works hard you can tell he really knows what he’s doing and loves his job and if he doesn’t love it he’s a damn good actor. Scott needs a raise near immediately.

Fantastic experience: Allstate CDL Meriden in campus ask for joe as a Instructor. He knows what he’s doing Is great for any hands-on learner truly does have the patience of a teacher work with you and make sure you were able to pass your test

Negative experience: This school is a disappointment. Be careful before signing up and read the agreement. They do not issue refund once you pay. You can be mislead. Fees 15% fee to cancel. You will only get half of what was paid.

Fantastic experience: I recommend Allstate to everyone looking to get their CDL. From the first minute I called, this school has been organized, professional, and behind me every step of the way. There is no part of the process they do not prepare you for, and you will practice the pre-trip, the maneuvers, and the road route multiple times until you are comfortable. During the admissions process, they took the time to help me choose the best options based on my experience and my goals. I did all of my training in the Meriden location, and every single instructor was highly knowledgeable and focused on preparing me to pass my CDL test. The 1-on-1 instruction is the only way to train, and I cannot stress enough how much this will help you prepare for the skills test. It truly feels like a family; the instructors know your name and always check in to see how you are doing. Scheduling was very helpful, whenever I had a conflict they were able to resolve it quickly. They also offered me cancellation availabilities so I could get my training done sooner. The communication was excellent and they made sure I was aware of all my deadlines and paperwork requirements. I ended up passing my manual CDL A test on the first try. Thank you to all of the staff at Allstate!

Fantastic experience: Allstate was very helpful with the training and navigation for me to get my CDL. All the instructors took the time to focus and prepare me personally. Jason was excellent with teaching me pre trip which was crucial to me passing. Joe helped me greatly with on road driving and helping get comfortable. Omar Jr and Bob were both helpful with me nailing down my maneuvers. All in all the staff is what makes Allstate a great choice for your CDL training. I would highly recommend them.

Fantastic experience: I came in to the Seymore location having no knowledge or experience of trucks or truck driving. The staff and instructors were patient and thorough in their instruction and thanks to them, I was able to pass my exam! The most difficult part for me was certainly the pre-trip inspection, as I had no previous mechanical knowledge of cars or trucks and their inner workings. I highly recommend you specifically ask for Scott, as he walked me through all the different components I needed to know for the exam until I could confidently call them all out.

Fantastic experience: I recently received my CDL training from the Seymour location. From day 1 they go through and explain everything you will need to be successful on test day. The entire course is set up to be exactly how your test will be . The teachers are awesome. You can ask them questions about anything and they will answer with detail. The communication with scheduling is always there and they are very respectful of your requests. I highly recommend attending this school.

Fantastic experience: This is a awesome school, I have been wanting to get my CDL for a long time now (10 years) but thought it was too hard for me. In the end, I came out and got my cdl.Thanks to JO, Scott, and Peter for helping me out and putting the pre-trip in a way I can understand it. Their trucks are easy to drive because you learn to drive a 40 ft trailer instead of learning how to drive a full 53' trailer.

Fantastic experience: Scott at the Seymour location was an amazing teacher. I did the refresher course which is only 6 classes. He taught me everything I needed in three classes. He explains things very well and in a way that’s easy to follow and learn from. Best teacher there in my opinion.

Fantastic experience: I just passed my class A cdl, I trained at the Meriden location mainly with Jayson, not only was he patient with me, he helped me believe in myself when I was struggling to do so. He teaches above and beyond to make sure his students pass their test. He’s the best teacher at the Meriden location, and I won’t be the only one to admit that.

Fantastic experience: I recently graduated from the driving school in Meriden Connecticut. I worked full-time at my job and I attended Driving School on the weekends. There were two individuals who were INSTRUMENTAL in me passing my CDL Class A it's a father and son team their name are Omar Jr and Omar senior. I came into the school knowing nothing about Commercial Driving or trucks in general and they really poured into me their real life experience and I owe everything to them thank you Omar senior and Omar Jr. My life is changed now

Fantastic experience: I recently graduated from the Seymour location with my Class A manual. From day one to test day I’ve felt like family. The trainers there are very skilled at what they do. I requested Joe for the majority of my training. He was very professional and easy going. He didn’t get frustrated when I made mistakes and just kept me motivated throughout the entire process. If it wasn’t for him I wouldn’t be where I am today. I also need to give a shoutout to Bob as well. He showed me the ropes on how to shift over the road and gave me tips and tricks along the way which all led to my driving success. Scott who was in charge of scheduling was very flexible with my hours and made everything run smoothly. If you want to get your CDL this is the place to do it!!
