Negative experience: The absolute worst place to send your children to learn how to drive. Jim is the worst instructor and owner there is in South Carolina. He is rude, argumentative, arrogant, and fails people out of pettiness. And JIM WILL CHARGE YOU MORE MONEY JUST TO FAIL YOUR CHILD AGAIN. NEVER SEND YOUR CHILD HERE. EVER. Just go to the DMV. It’s easier and they actually tell you what you did wrong. And they don’t force you to write a 5 star review WHEN THEY DO NOT DESERVE IT. If I could give a 0 star review, I sure would.

Negative experience: Jim was my instructor and he was very pushy and rude when ever I would make a mistake he would get upset at me even though I was learning and didn’t know, when I was in the car with him it smelled liked smoke and we stopped at a gas station or in a parking lot and asked me to do a review witch I didn’t want to do. ( he asked me to do a review twice) overall wasn’t a great experience

Fantastic experience: Jim was my instructor and my friends told me about their instructors and they said they were harsh and strict, but learning with Jim was a learning experience you learned from your mistakes and were able to improve to pass your test and be ready for the real world as a driver.

Negative experience: This is the most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with. After my two teens spent eight hours in the safety class with an instructor who gave them more breaks than instruction, said that they did not believe the statistics they were teaching, used crass language, said they hated teaching the class and basically made a joke of the whole thing, despite $225 per person, we’ve been trying for three weeks to get our daughters driving scheduled. The first day that my son was supposed to be picked up the instructor did not show up and did not let us know. Then she told us that she works 8 to 5 and does not have availability. And every time I reach out to the website phone number, I get an auto reply and I am instructed to text the instructor. When I explained that I had done so repeatedly, I received two smart Alec responses and was advised to use a different driving school .

Negative experience: I’m looking for a driving instructor for my 17 yr old daughter. I’m reading these reviews and they seem a little coerced, as if someone is telling these young individuals to say the same thing(s). The one review said that before returning, he has his student write a 5 star review, in his presence. That’s a little strange to me. So how would I know if Jim is good if all the reviews are identical, except the one?

Fantastic experience: Jim is a great driving instructor. The way he teaches is easy to understand and get. His communication is clear and understandible. He doesn't yell like your parents do he takes time to explain it and make sure you grasp it. He simplifies it to dummy standards so somebody that doesn't really understand driving would get it.

Negative experience: So rude, hung up on me in the middle of me asking a question. Driver asked me “do you want to take your test at Lyman or Simponsonville & I said Lyman because I live in Spartanburg and they called me “too lazy to drive to Simpsonville” so rude and unprofessional.

Negative experience: I drove with Jim. He was an awful instructor the entire time. He made me incredibly stressed due to his mocking of my driving and his insults that he threw at me. He would then attempt to play it off as "trying to help me". He was incredibly tense the entire time, and let me have no leniency to get used to the car. I was not doing my test at the time, just practice driving. The reviews below are likely manipulated drivers that fell into Jim's trap. He will stop at a gas station or another stop somewhere near the end of your drive and ask you to leave a review. From there, he will guide u into exactly how to leave a 5 star review. He almost says it sinisterly and it invokes fear into students. The cars are incredibly damaged, needing me to have to use my hand just to PULL up the window because it was broken. For a three hour drive, the seats are incredibly uncomfortable and will leave you sore. I will NOT be attending Jim's instruction again.

Fantastic experience: I'm a driver who had anxiety throughout life, and especially when I began driving. Jim helped ease my anxiety by answering my questions and correcting my mistakes politely. When on the road test, he quelled my anxiety almost completely, helping me pass on my first attempt.

Fantastic experience: I had my permit for 3 years and was walking back and forth to get to where I needed to be. I finally took the initiative to try and find the best way to gain my license without first having a car. I started my first lesson with Jim having little to no experience behind the wheel. After 3 lessons I was able to feel confident enough that I actually aced my driving test. Thanks to Jim I have my license and I can look forward to driving to work instead of walking.
