Fantastic experience: First off I would like to say that this school is not only truly affordable but they give you the knowledge you need to become successful. The school is come as you please but you need to show up in order to get through it. Everyone is knowledgeable and helpful and want you to succeed. Fantastic experience: Awesome.instructors, they even keep it cool when you lose yours in frustration while learning. Rich does a great job for teaching pretrip. It was nice to take his version and some of the other instructors and make it your own to remember. Ed and steve were the ones I worked with the most and they were all wonderful. And Gorge is awesome too!!! All of them were so helpful, I couldn't have done it without them. A month and months after passing and I am starting a new career with my class A cdl! Fantastic experience: Great bunch of people and a great price. You get what you put in at this school. Do the work and the instructors will take care of you. Trust them. They know what you need to do.

Fantastic experience: Good school run by good people. Note: the training will probably take longer at this school than some others because they're not set up as a 30-day diploma mill. However, they have a make-your-own schedule policy that works perfectly for those with kids or work obligations, and they don't have a stringent limit on how long you can take before you get your CDL. If you need several months, they don't come after you asking you to pay more. You can take your time and practice backing in their lot until you get proficient with the maneuvers. Now, there is a lot of waiting between turns on the trucks as there can be between 5 and 30 students trying to use 2 trucks, depending on how many decided to come in that day. But Affordable CDL also doesn't charge you as much as other schools. It's a nice, relaxed atmosphere. They welcome anyone who meets the federal requirements (you do need to able to somewhat/mostly speak English by federal regulation). We had students from Albania, Dominican Republic, and Pakistan among others while I was there and everybody was trained, even if they needed some extra time.

Fantastic experience: I walked into affordable CDL without graduating high school and no GED. I had minimal time, and a new baby on the way. I had high hopes of getting my class A license asap. My family depeded on it. This school has helped me with so much more than just learing to drive a truck. The owners, teachers, and insructors have all pushed me in the best ways possible. With the endless support, I was able to reach my goals. I am so thankful for the flexibilty of the hours they provide, and the long nights. Without that, I might not be where I am today. For anyone considering attending this school; go for it. You will be so happy you did.

Fantastic experience: All too often we start something and don't finish.....and driving isn't an exception, what ever the reasons may be (life,money,family obligations,ect..)but that doesn't have to be the case at affordable cdl. From the moment you walk through the door till the time you leave you're treated like family. All of the staff actually want you to succeed and are rooting for you the entire way. As with any family you may not agree with everything or trust the methods of teaching but everyone has their own style and you can learn from all of it. I am bull headed and stubborn and seemed to fight the system the entire way but learned to just trust the process in what's being instructed. I would send everyone I know that's going for a cdl to this school. Michelle, Terry, Rich,Eddie, Steve,Wayne, Frank,Ed and yes even you George have made a lasting impression on my life. I am someone who doesn't always follow through with things but its because of boredom. I followed through till the end and affordable made that possible by keeping me challenged and not settling for"that's good enough " so thank you for not letting me settle. I have truly learned something from this school and will take that with me from this point on.

Fantastic experience: EXCELLENT! Affordable is a no frills, well-oiled machine. I appreciate the woman-owned factor, although Michele's husband Terry plays a major role teaching the classroom portion which is worth its' weight in gold with his background in engineering and 'colorful' driving experience. In the classroom and on the course, with patience you will get out of it what you put into it and many students appreciate the flexible schedule, reasonable cost and payment plan. The manual transmission trucks you will learn to drive are tired, rough and unforgiving, steering off center, challenging trailer lengths, rigid brakes, clutching and shifting but make no mistake, all of this is very much so by design, intentional, to create, to mold the student into a superior commercial truck driver. The school offers unlimited use of a state of the art simulator as well for which no expense was spared and helps students exponentially with shifting and double-clutching. This is real world trucking education and I could not have chosen better veteran instructors to learn from. Edgardo ("Eddy"), Steve, Richard, Frank, Ed, Ali, Terry and Wayne, thank you all for sharing your expertise and teaching me how to be the best driver I can be. Fantastic experience: If you need a school that is flexible around your schedule and treats you like family, this is the school for you. You show up when you can, and your progression is based on how often you go. It could take a couple months, it could take a lot longer. They put the ball in your court. I was a bit of a slow learner, and they took the extra time I needed to pass and get my Class A. They will absolutely make sure you leave the school with the license you went there to get. I failed my first Class A test. Michelle gave me a ton of extra road time with Wayne, and Terry brought me and other students out on the road on his days off when the school was closed, just to give us the extra reps we needed to ensure we passed. The staff is phenomenal. Every one of them. The variety of experience you get from the staff, who come from all walks of life from different parts of the state, is incredible. I took a little piece of advice from every instructor there to get through the school. In the summer there were cook outs. In the winter there was pizza and wings. There was a lot of camaraderie amongst students. I’d do well on a maneuver and I’d have a student I never met before, telling me good job while fist bumping me. Students would help other students with pre- trip and maneuvers. Students would go out to get lunch and ask if anyone needed anything while they were out. You don’t get that type of a learning atmosphere by chance. You get it when you’re treated like family, taken care of, and genuinely know staff and students want you to succeed. If you come from a military and/ or LE back ground like me, it takes some getting use to. It is a different way of learning than the regimented training you’re use to. But their way is the way it should be done when it comes to getting your CDL. The best way I can put it is…. The mom and pop restaurants are always better than the chain ones. This school is the mom and pop version of CDL Schools. Thank you Terry, Michelle, Rich, Wayne, both Ed’s, Steve, Frank, and last but certainly not least, GEORGE.

Fantastic experience: Affordable is a great place to get your CDL. Not a traditional classroom, there is more than enough help if you need it, you just have to ask. Michele and Terry want you to learn and will take you out for extra instruction if you need it. Michele was awesome, getting me a test day on my permit expiration! Fantastic experience: I was referred to this school by a business owner with previous working relationships with school owners. I also had been told by people that were already in the process of obtaining their CDL their scools were trash talking Affordable. My opinion is any trash talk is out of fear of losing customers. My personal experience was phenomenal. Classroom education was explained in terms we all could understand. Pricing is more than fair and payment plans are above and beyond what an educational program of any kind needs to allow. Practical hands on drills are realistic and done in understandable fashion for benefit of the students. Trainers are incredibly patient and capable of working with even those who have never been around comercial vehicle.Job placement and recommendations are again done for benefit of the students, at expense of time and effort of the staff. Fantastic experience: Attending the Affordable CDL Training School was a great investment in my future. If you listen to the instructors, stay busy in-between your turns in the truck, and apply yourself, you'll learn what you need to pass your CDL exam. The classroom portion (roughly 40 hours of instruction) was informative and taught by Terry Howard, one of the owners of the school, a man with decades of experience in the trucking industry. The outside portion, consisting of the pretrip inspection, truck maneuvers, and time spent driving the truck, taught by knowledgeable, fun, and down to earth instructors, teaches you exactly what you need to do in order to pass the CDL exam. It's VERY IMPORTANT to use the time in-between your turn in the truck wisely, as there can be up to an hour or two between your turns. The instructors and owners of the Affordable CDL Training School are all amazing people that will help you succeed while in school and after your graduate. The owners, Terry and Michelle, will take the time out of their busy days to make you feel comfortable, confident, and taken care of. Negative experience: I’d paid for my son to Take his CLASS A CDL program here. A mistake is an understatement! He went daily for 3 months… when they were open. In that time he NEVER drive a truck, some days never got to do a Pre-Trip inspection of a truck and most days were never instructors on site, only Class B drivers trying to instruct none CDL applicants. I finally had gotten fed up and spent a lot more money for him to go to a nearby school! He then passed his CLASS A CDL test at this new school within exactly 1 month! I would Not recommend this company I wish I could get my poorly spent money back from this company…but I’ll chock this up to a steep lessened learned!

Fantastic experience: The common saying is that you get what you pay for. Well at Affordable CDL you get more than you pay for. The instructors were all professional drivers before teaching here. There is a wealth of knowledge here. These instructors and owners dedicate their entire lives to this school and the trucking industry. open 7 days a week 8 hrs most days 12 hrs on certain days not just to ensure you pass and get your CDL but to ensure you know what you are doing on the roads. Nobody is perfect and there will always be hard days no matter where you go. The difference here is that its family owned and operated by honest and kind people. They listen to you when you say your struggling with something and they have gone out of their way to help. I highly recommend them if you are looking into class A/B CDL.

Fantastic experience: Affordable CDL will treat you like family all the way to passing your test. They go above and beyond to make sure you are ready and will test on time. Endure a little “joking” from George and you will be on your way.

Positive experience: Graduated from this place about a week ago. It was a true journey. It took a lot of commitment and a lot of patience. My best advice is don’t get discouraged on your first day because it’s like drinking through a fire hose. It takes about 2 weeks to really start to get the pretrip down and start remembering everything. Give it a chance and really listen and learn from instructors like rich frank or nick.

Fantastic experience: Affordable CDL IS A GREAT PLACE! They will not only teach you the skills you need on the road they will also teach you how to be profitable in the industry. Affordable CDL makes you feel like your a part of a family!!! Michelle and Terry will go above and beyond with any of your needs. Clear direction on getting you medical cert as well as your learners permit. Pre trip instructors are thorough and teach you the correct way to achieve success! There is no instructor better than Rich on any course!!! This is without a doubt! He keeps it light fun and rewarding!! Once you get to your road time Wayne is amazing!! He has 50+ years experience with a lot of that time teaching new beginners. He is quick to identify your strengths and weaknesses and knows what to do to build your skills! All around I’m so glad I chose this school. Very good about working with you at your pace and self development!! Fantastic experience: The people are great. If you put the effort into learning they will put the effort into helping you achieve the most out of your time there.

Negative experience: Did not think I’d be giving a bad review 6 months ago when I joined the school but here we go. Unfortunately if you look normal and carry yourself well but have an invisible learning disability like most schools there is not much they can do for you. I was never able to comprehend the pre trip inspection even after a 1 on 1 lesson. I ended up never going back and I’ve never felt so defeated in my life. But if you have a normal brain then yes I would say you will do well here.
