Negative experience: A little disappointed right now. I called as the site read they were open until 7. However, the machine picked up saying they closed at 6. I left a message as requested being told someone would call me back the next day. Well it's now two days later and no one has called back. Still I decided to check the site to book some lessons. I sent an email through the site's 'contact' option. I get a text the next day telling me to call--again. I did that already and now it's three days and no return call. A little disappointing.

Negative experience: There was a poor internet connection and my partner was unable to sign into the zoom. He was kicked out with no refund or further communication on their part. Complete waste of money. He even paid extra for overnight delivery of a certificate of completion, which is unnecessary according to the DMV. Don't waste your time or money with this company.

Fantastic experience: I took the 5 hour class online with Dan Lucas and it was an amazing learning experience. He was very thorough with everything and l definitely learned a lot. I’m very thankful l scheduled this class with New York Auto School. I highly recommend this school. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: I had an excellent driving lesson at this school with Marvin, which lead me to passing my road test! Marvin was very realistic about my driving skills, my problems, and potential for success with the test. He also gave me good tips on parallel parking and making turns. Because of my lesson, I was able to focus on my problem areas and successfully pass my road test.

Negative experience: Took the 5 hour course where it should be a video teaching you and no you have someone act like they’re a teacher and trying to teach all 5 hours. Giving us questions and being passive aggressive the whole time when answering the questions . If this guy wanted to be a teacher so badly he should have become a teacher and not trying to degrade all of us and asking us questions that had nothing to do with the “ 5 hour course” . Asking if we know what type of oil our car takes . We not studying to be mechanics ! It’s for our road test !

Fantastic experience: Great Experience at New York Auto School! My experience at New York Auto School exceeded all my expectations. If you're looking to learn how to drive, this is the place to go. They really go the extra mile, not just in helping you pass the road test, but also in making sure you're confident driving in different situations. Mario is an excellent bilingual instructor, plus he's super patient and knows how to explain things in a way that just clicks. It's not all about the basics here. They teach you how to handle yourself in heavy traffic, bad weather, and other tricky situations. I left feeling really prepared for anything the road might throw at me. The team at New York Auto School is super approachable and professional. They're always ready to answer any questions and give extra help whenever you need it. Highly recommend checking them out if you're thinking about learning to drive.

Fantastic experience: It took a couple of decades, but I just passed my road test! Joe D. and Bruce were wonderful instructors, very calm and encouraging (a complementary combination, too!). Overall a very well organized and professional company.

Fantastic experience: I want to give a special shout out to Bruce and DeFrancesco for helping me get across the finish line and passing my road test. They were very patient and professional during the lessons I had with them both. I practiced the most with Bruce; he helped me get comfortable behind the wheel, build my confidence while driving and provided constructive feedback in a positive manner. I’m a teacher and it’s not always easy being a student! Bruce is an exceptional teacher! :) DeFrancesco also had a nice personality, he did not make me feel stressed or nervous, and provided strategies to help with turning and parallel parking. On the day of the test he helped boost my confidence while at the same time, helping me practice parallel parking until I felt more comfortable. His formula worked like a charm and I am thankful for his insight and advice. Fantastic experience: I worked with New York Auto school from August up until a couple weeks ago (when I passed my road test) and had an incredible experience. For the majority of my lessons I had Mario V as an instructor and he was unparalleled. Patient, calm, and always willing to teach, he never made me feel nervous while driving in the car with him. He prepared me perfectly for the road test and thus I ended up well over passing. Overall Mario was incredible and I would highly recommend working with New York Auto School! Additionally, I worked with Michael James for a few of my lessons and he was an excellent instructor as well. I had a lesson with him towards the very beginning and he was of immense assistance as I began to acclimate myself to driving. New York Auto School has no shortage of great instructors and once again I would highly recommend the school.

Fantastic experience: A great place to learn driving even if you’re a complete new and have no idea how to drive! My driving instructor was Mario V and he was a very chill and was a good instructor overall! I didn’t feel nervous at all when I was practicing with him. I practiced with him for 3 months and almost got a perfect score on my road test. Also the customer service is amazing! The people there are always nice and patient and helps you a lot! 10/10 would recommend to learn driving!

Fantastic experience: I was fortunate to get a fantastic instructor Mario V. He was the most professional and down to Earth guy. I had a fair amount of practice going into it but was a bit nervous in regards to the “test specifications”, i.e. the little rules such as, checking your blind spot on every turn and pull out, and double stopping or not at red lights and so on. He was able to explain everything wonderfully and even gave me tips about traversing the corse itself. He walked me through the entire process and didn’t miss a beat. Overall a great experience with the school and Mario himself. Would highly recommend.

Mario was extremely informative, giving me the ins and outs of defensive driving, while nurturing my strengths and strengthening my weaknesses. I felt so overly prepared for the exam that when I took the actual exam, I couldn’t believe how simple it was. Fantastic experience: They are great! Mario V. is very straight forward and pushes me in learning the right and safe ways in driving. I had 2 instructors, Adolofo, helped me out as well in pacing myself in being comfortable with the car. All of their instructors are very knowledgeable and will help you get ready for the road test, as well as important driving skills and habits.

Fantastic experience: I had my road test yesterday in New Rochelle and I passed it for the first time. I think one of the reasons why I passed was because of that 1 hr driving lesson before the road test! Believe me it’s a huge help. Mario V. from NY auto School was my instructor who did the 1 hr class and drove me to road test site! He’s amazing! He’s very strict in a good way that you will learn!! I didn’t know that I still had so much to learn and I thought I’m ready. If I didn’t take that 1 hr class before the road test, I probably fail the test! He also encouraged me to be calm and believe in myself. Not only that, after I passed the test he drove me home and he’s still teaching me about proper driving! He’s very professional. NY auto school is Lucky to have him. I recommend NY Auto school for being professional specially during this time of Pandemic! They scheduled my road test right away after being lockdown for 3 months. And Ofcourse Mr. Mario V who thought me so much in the span of 1 hr!

Fantastic experience: First of all New York Auto School is a great place for driving lessons if you are in the Bronxville-Eastchester-Tuckahoe area. They are affordable and prompt. As for instructor, Mario V. is outstanding. He is patient, informative, and pays attention to each person. For myself, he understood my weakness and my strengths in driving. That's important to pay attention to each individual's needs, rather than just a generic lesson in general, as each person is different (driving skills). He is very knowledgeable on driving and on all of the techniques you need to know for the road test; I'm so happy I went to him. The instructor Mario V is simply amazing - calm, friendly, knowledgeable, experienced as a teacher. I passed only because of him - the way he prepared me, explained every single step and move and even described the personality of the examiners as he knows them all. I tried other instructors and really recommend to request only Mario V to prep lesson.

Fantastic experience: *This is a follow up review* First off all let me say I called NYAS on Tuesday 06/11/19 with the insane hope of getting 2 lessons, the 5hr certificate and road test appointment all before 06/21/19 when I was due to leave for a month long vacation - and there for failing wasn’t an option, as crazy as it sounds they threw me a Hail Mary and came through! Wendy was amazing, I had a lesson with with Patty Clearly around Tuckahoe,NY which was just such fun on 06/15/19, then on Sunday 06/16/19 I went back out to East Chester for the 5hr certificate course and afterwards I spoke to Wendy who had managed to get me a road test for WEDNESDAY! 06/19/19! Right before the road test I had one more lesson with Joe Griffith, who was very helpful and cool, he also took me to my road test which I passed All in all the service was amazing! And the people I worked with were all wonderful and I can’t give 6 stars so 5 will have to do. *For the people who live in NYC the East Chester location is very easy to get via the metro north blue line *
