Driving School of North Texas is the best, most innovative driving school for teens and adults in North Texas. Our goal is to train our students to be safe, confident drivers. With locations in Allen, Frisco and McKinney, we strive to improve the safety of our roads and our communities. We offer Drivers Education classes, Driving Lessons for teens and adults and DPS Authorized Road Tests.

Fantastic experience: this is a great option for parents who want to ensure their kids have the best knowledge of driving before even putting a wheel on the road. i personally went here and literally ALL the staff are super kind and respect, as well as helpful. it’s much better than any online course (i was previously in one).

Fantastic experience: I was a student here! I had Ms. Lynn as my teacher, and she’s very experienced in what she does. Although in-person classes made my schedule super packed, I definitely think it was worth it. ***I recommend taking these classes during the Summer and not during school!!!

Fantastic experience: I had an amazing experience with this drivers Ed class. The instructors were amazing as well. They kept the class engaged and helped us realize how much our actions can affect us and others on the road. I had previously started with an online driving course but switching to an in person class was much more helpful. I could easily understand and retain the information that was given. This was easily a great and fun classs.

Hello Isabella. We understand it's upsetting when you fail the DPS road test. We are required by the State of Texas to uphold the laws that are in place to protect you and others driving on the roadway. Unfortunately you failed parallel parking by knocking over the cones. This is an automatic failed by State law, which we are bound to uphold. We want to ensure you, and everyone else on the road, are safe while. Take care.
Negative experience: You guys are horrible. DO NOT COME HERE. They take your money, pride, and love for driving out of the way. Sick people.

Fantastic experience: Great experience so far. Easy to schedule a driving test. We appreciate that the route is posted online and that we were able to practice parallel parking before the test. Allowing it to be familiar is so important to a new driver. Calms those nerves.

Fantastic experience: I definitely recommend this program I am 17 years old. This helped me so much, most people did aceabble, but if you are a visual learner and what to see things for yourself. I definitely recommend. It’s just for 2 weeks it might be a little expensive, but it’s definitely worth it. The teachers are great and nice. 10/10 definitely recommend

Negative experience: I strongly advise anyone from choosing this place for their driver's examination, primarily due to the egregious conduct of a particular staff member, identifiable by her blondish short haircut and possibly in her 50s or 60s. From the moment of arrival, it was abundantly clear that failure would take place, thanks to her overwhelmingly condescending and dismissive demeanor. My mother and I were having a side conversation to clarify certain procedures that needed to take place in order for me to get my license. Our interaction was met with a disdainful remark: "We don’t know what we’re doing." Such flagrant rudeness, coupled with a complete lack of professionalism, made the encounter wholly intolerable. Following the test, the decision of not meeting the requirements was accepted without protest. However, the journey back to the building was ruined by an utterly demeaning statement: "You do not deserve a license; you’re too dangerous." Such a disparaging assessment, especially directed at a 16-year-old, is not only unwarranted, but also deeply offensive. To be branded as both perilous and unworthy is utterly unacceptable. Furthermore, her feedback session was delivered loudly for all to hear, only served to compact the embarrassment and humiliation. In light of such behavior, it is evident that the professionalism and courtesy expected in such a setting were sorely lacking, casting serious doubt on the integrity and suitability of this establishment for conducting driver's tests. This lady lacks social skills and I am extremely disappointed at the way she takes advantage of her profession, as she uses it to tear down others. (If I could give 0 stars I would)

Fantastic experience: The school was really good, and the instructor Ms Lin was genuinely helpful, and kept everyone engaged and involved, and gave very detailed explanations and visual aids without filler and without losing attention. The class was interesting and involved, and I dont't believe it could've been done better. She made sure everyone understood the content, and got people to memorize things without making them study it, but just by being there. Time was never wasted, and was always properly used and spaced out.

Negative experience: worst driving school ever. Rude staff, dirty cars, no empathy towards students and parents.

Fantastic experience: LISTEN UP I’m not a parent or someone who never actually took the drivers ed class offered here at Driving school of north Texas (frisco east location). In fact, I’m writing this review sitting in class after I just crushed the final exam on signs and rules of the road. I am officially less than an hour away from finishing drivers ed. And I think this class has been amazing. The instructor here is awesome (SHOUTOUT TO MS LIN). She not only follows the required curriculum really well, she fills the class time in with personal stories and anecdotes that not only keep the class entertaining but also really drives home some important points such as the effects of drunk driving, or the graphic details of what really happens when you don’t wear your seatbelt, or how important it is to constantly be scanning the road. What’s scary to me is I know most of my friends did drivers Ed online, but they told me they literally cheated their way through most of it or they just blew it off and barely passed. That’s scary! I totally think it’s worth spending 3 weeks of your life to do drivers Ed IN PERSON, here with ms Lin. This is something you can’t and shouldn’t just skip out on, as I now feel safe and prepared for a lifetime of driving. Cheers.

Positive experience: My teacher was Ms. Lin and she was the sweetest funniest person ever. I experienced both in person and online classes-both were fun, but in person you get more interactive. As a teen, this is probably the best place you could send your kid.

Fantastic experience: Do not listen to the negative reviews on this driving school. This is the best driving school to take your child to. The instructor really connects with her students and makes the experience as fun as possible.The teen course is a 16 day course and it’s so much better than online driving school. On day 3 we took the permit test and everyone passed. You get to learn and discover more information about driving through taking this course. Ms. Lin is from New Jersey so she’s very funny, but some parents might find her rude, but she’s really not. Me and my sister went here for our driving education and we both had a really good time here. I was going to go to online driving school, and I’m so glad I didn’t. Ms. Lin gives helpful advice and is a really good teacher. Please consider registering your kid to tho this driving school.

Negative experience: Appointments are never available. Paid for full driving lessons but could never schedule. Paid extra money for an extension on the lessons and still could not schedule because they were fully booked. Fred was rude and gave zero feedback. A waste of money. I rarely leave reviews but this place was so bad that I had to.

If a staff member or instructor upsets any of our customers, we always want the opportunity to correct the problem and turn a negative experience into a great one. As for available driving lessons, we have an abundance of open times available, so I'm not sure why you could not schedule her student's lessons. Fantastic experience: I think driving school was a great opportunity I got to learn a lot more then I did during online driving school in person is way more interactive and you learn more just by your fellow classmates just asking simple questions I highly recommend this to everyone even if you think your a good driver you learn very useful tips that you may not be able to learn from your parents

Fantastic experience: Loved this school! My teacher, Mrs. Lin, was AMAZING!! She made even the most boring lessons fun and I’m so glad I had her as a teacher. I attempted to take an online course before this and it wasn’t working, I wasn’t able to focus on the screen for long periods of time and I feel like I wasn’t learning about the necessary precautions you need to take while driving. At this school, Mrs. Lin taught me the importance of driving safely in a way no computer or AI bot ever could. I feel like I have more understanding of how dangerous driving could be and more respect and responsibility towards the rules of the road with this class than any online learner ever will. Thanks Mrs. Lin!!!

Fantastic experience: Online courses are not the way. Driving School of North Texas is the best I’ve ever seen. I have learned so much in a short amount of time and now I feel more confident to drive. The instructors are great and especially the teacher. I had Mrs.Lin she was one of the greatest teachers I’ve ever had and in all honesty she was amazing. I have learned so much from her and I laughed so many times cause of her.

Negative experience: don’t waste your money here, my daughter had her driving test earlier this week and the instructor was very rude kept huffing and puffing. You as a parent have to do most the teaching they don’t teach much.
We always aim to deliver a great experience, and we are disappointed when we don’t meet our customer's expectations. We welcome hearing from you to review what happened during your student's road test. However, we are not allowed to teach students how to drive during a road test. They should already be prepared and have the skills to pass the test. Thank you and take care.

Fantastic experience: All four of my kids took their drive test here they are detailed but fair in their testing. If your kids go through their courses they will definitely pass their test.

Negative experience: What a terrible driving school. Do not go here. Instructor was extremely rude and intimidating! Why would you intimidate a new driver!!? She was inconsolable and automatically knew he was not going to pass her based on his attitude alone!! This man was on a power trip and I hope he feels big and mighty making a young woman cry. Do not go to this driving school!! The man is an absolute joke. Seriously. She felt defeated before she even got behind the wheel!!!!
