Awesome instructor!!! Joe at the office was also extremely helpful & always answered my questions & concerns in a timely manner. Without the both of them I honestly don’t know how it would’ve worked out because other aspects of the school seemed to be in disarray. Fantastic experience: I truly appreciate the learning/driving experience I had with Tom as my instructor. Tom is very knowledgeable and perceptive. He assessed my driving and pinpointed what I needed to work on. I was a nervous wreck when I first started driving but after a couple of lessons I became so comfortable behind the wheel. Rather than being nervous for my road test, I was pumped/excited, confident and I couldn’t wait to get my license. I am now a driver :) Thank you very much, Tom!!!

Fantastic experience: I had Tom as my instructor and he was the best! I got a 95 on my road test on the first try all because of all the different tricks that he taught me. I would definitely suggest going to fox and asking for Tom even if you never got behind the wheel of a car before.

Fantastic experience: Short story. I went in with no experience. I brought a package. I took a bunch of lessons. I took my first road test, and I passed. Long story. This is a small cozy place. I think there are only 2 reception people and 2 driving instructors. My instructor was Tom. We had 15 lessons together. We practiced in several different neighborhoods like busy streets, big houses on hills, etc. We parked everywhere be it curb, dirt, garbage bags, long vehicle, etc. I felt like I got a lot of driving experience for how little the driving time was. Tom was very interactive; he commented on everything I did no matter right or wrong, and he commented on things our surrounding drivers did. It was a comfortable atmosphere where I can ask the hypothetical questions that I worry about. Tom was dedicated; he was still coaching me at the road test site up until the road test starts. I still went into the test a bit nervous but I came out of the test feeling good, because I realized what I was taught had became habit. First nuisance. I was quite unlucky and ran into some bad timings. The agency that the school works with to do the 5-hour pre-licensing course was very slow. Also, the DMV previously had some cancellations and ended up backed up on test reservations. This all took about 2 months to clear up. As an organized person, I had booked all of my lesson appointments on day 1. Due to the time delay, I had to reschedule a bunch of my lessons, and I was easily able to. I had clear effective communication with the reception people. Second nuisance. The driving instructor is very much a morning person. But the reception people are not, therefore you are more likely to be able to contact the school in the afternoon. Overall, I had a happy time, I got what I wanted to get. Thanks to Tom for making this possible. I hope everyone else looking at Fox Auto Driving School to have an equally or better success as I have.

Fantastic experience: My experience with Tom through Fox Auto was excellent. As an adult learner having someone I could have conversations with about driving was important. Previous experiences included someone who was completely checked out as far as teaching was concerned. Not Tom. He was always looking for pneumonic devices to help me remember things and completely understood my desire to drill techniques until I was far more prepared than the challenge of the road test.

Fantastic experience: So staff at the school is friendly but the school itself is very unorganized!! However Tom is absolutely amazing he is the best instructor I ever had if it wasn't for him I would have went to another school. Tom is reliable, nice and very attentive when driving. Toms the best thanks to him I passed my road test. Any school is lucky to have him as an instructor. Must use Tom you will learn to be a safe driver !!!

Fantastic experience: I’m giving 5 stars to Fox Driving school only because of the instructor, Tom. My experience with the office was horrible. They are very disorganized and difficult to be reached on the office phone. I took a 5-hour pre-licensing course and expected to receive certification in 1 month. I had to schedule for my road test and I ended up taking the same course somewhere else and get the certification the next day. Coming back to Tom, He was the only reason that I continued with my lessons because he is a great teacher. His instructions are very easy, and he makes you feel comfortable that non-driver can learn driving in 2-3 lessons with him. His tricks help me to pass my driving test from the first attempt. Thank you so much Tom. I really appreciate your help. Thank you for being so understanding and giving me lessons on Saturday as I was unavailable during the weekdays due to my work. God Bless You!!!

Fantastic experience: I had a very great experience taking driving lessons with instructors Brian and Tom from Fox Auto Driving School. They give you excellent tips on how to succeed in driving and pass the driving test. I passed mine from the first attempt thanks to the expertise of the instructors. Joe is also very nice and will work with you! They really take their time to answer all your questions, are patient and are there to guide you. I am very happy with my experience taking driving lessons from this school.

Fantastic experience: I just passed today, and Tom is the best instructor. I have been driving since I was 13 and when I came to my first class with Tom at 20, he immediately taught me a completely brand new way of driving. He provides very helpful tips and tricks and he makes it easy and fun by making smart phrases. He also is very direct and clear, so you understand exactly what he talks about and is a great teacher. Not to mention he is a great guy and somebody everyone will get along with. 6/5 stars.

Fantastic experience: My daughter had a great experience and thanx to Tom she passed her road test. As per her “he’s a great teacher”! She had taken some lessons in Bath and failed her first road test and then I signed her up with Fox auto, took a few lessons, and passed her second time thanx to Tom! He was AMAZING! Fantastic experience: I was lucky twice: I applied to the Fox Driving School and studied under the guidance of Tom. Everyone at the school was polite and helped align driving lessons and tests with my work schedule. Instructor Tom is not only a professional driver, but also a caring teacher. He puts all his skills and knowledge into the student. Worries about the student's success in passing the test as if he were passing it himself. Never gets annoyed and never reproaches for mistakes. Over and over again explains and repeats the maneuvers until he brings everything to perfection. He loves his job and remembers his students like a good teacher. I learned to drive a car, perform maneuvers, learned to notice dangerous situations, gained self-confidence. I have taken 30 lessons (never driven before) and am very grateful to Tom and the Fox school.

Fantastic experience: Tom is one of the best driving instructors I've ever had. He's very good at teaching and makes sure your not nervous while your practicing driving. He's very friendly and encouraging when it comes to making you feel more confident in driving, and he's very open to you asking any questions you have. Fantastic experience: With only a week to find a car rental for my second road test, the school was able to schedule me into their packed schedule along with a lesson the day of my test. Tom was an absolutely awesome instructor! He asked to review my first exam test scores and provided great feedback and tips during prior to our one lesson. I went into the one lesson not feeling comfortable parallel parking and came out feeling confident. After one lesson with Tom, I was able to pass my second road test!

Fantastic experience: Just passed my exam on the first try. Tom has been a great teacher and really taught me how to stay safe on New York roads. He really cares for his students he was nervous with me before my exams but of course comforting!!! Would recommend Tom to everyone.

Fantastic experience: If you are taking lessons here, ask if you can be instructed by Tom. Not only will he show you the proper ways to drive, but he will direct you in proper practices that will come in handy later on the road. Scared of K-Turns? He will have you making proper K-Turns throughout your lesson tenure in no-time! Learning to Parallel park was a breeze under his instruction. Lessons were stress-free and enjoyable. Passed my road-test on the first try under his tutelage. Excellent instructor!!!

Positive experience: Very affordable place and highly recommended to attend this school! With last minute scheduling, instructor Tom fit me in for a road test despite having a busy schedule. Although he wasn't my instructor for the driving lessons, he was very friendly and fun to talk to. Tom gave me advices that far surpassed my other instructor and helped me pass my road test! This school is a gamble depending on what instructor you get. You will either feel miserable or uplifting. Tom came exactly on time while my other instructor would normally be at least half an hour late and always ending my lessons early. Without Tom, I would of rated this school much lower.

Negative experience: very bad, my instructor had obvious problems with my not speaking English well, the first day of driving he made me wait from 10 am till 4 pm, calling every hour to postpone the appointment, until he came another instructor. to my unpleasant surprise, on the day of the test drive the first instructor came, he complained all the time about how few Americans there were in Brooklyn, he didn't let me try his car, he only let drive the other boy who had to face the test on the same day, the instructor in the meantime slept and grunted from time to time, but I faced the test, not even knowing how the seat moved, while he told the boy, to how I had introduced myself without doing some training, he has believe that I was not understanding anything of what he was saying, he embarrassed me all the time, he complained for the remaining time, in this situation of nervousness, I failed the first test, I state that I am an American citizen raised abroad and I have a European driving license for more than 20 years. Now I am looking for a driving school where the instructors don't seem to have problems with women of different nationalities. as for the driving school, however, they are even worse, a very neglected environment, slow in making appointments and organizing driving tests ... in short, rejected on all lines

Fantastic experience: I bought a 6 lesson package here and Tom was my instructor, really cool and friendly dude and he makes you feel comfortable on the road. Fantastic experience: Totally recommend this school! My instructor was Tom, he was always professional and constantly had feedback during class. He truly cares for his students, and he is also fun to talk with. I recommend taking the 5 hour course during the first few classes and save some classes to take a few days before the road test. I passed the road test on my second try, the key is patience as a beginning driver and listen to the instructor. I came into the school with no driving experience at all and walked out with my drivers license!

Fantastic experience: I passed my driving test yesterday thanks to Brian's guidance. I appreciated his down to earth, no BS, straight NY'er attitude to get me in the right headspace and also his clear rapport with the testing crew. I'm 36, so this is the second time I'm getting my driving license, having it 20 years ago but I let it lapse because I live in NYC and don't drive often - so I was nervous but he definitely put me in my place and I couldn't be happier. I didn't even think I would have passed me if I were grading myself but he got my confidence up and kept it there. Thanks again to Brain and to Fox Auto Driving School.

Negative experience: This place is a joke. The 5 hour lessons involves watching a video through zoom through the guys selfie camera to the TV. What we're pay for this and you can't invest in hooking up your pc to the tape player to give us decent video quality? Lesson also just involves the instructor yelling at you and telling you you're wrong the whole time.

Fantastic experience: Tommy is the best and driving engine of the school. First, I started to practice with Yuriy, their previous instructor and he was so inconvenient to work with, good he is no longer working with them. Tommy is the best instructor you can wish, he explains everything in a way so the child could understand, he is very friendly and patient. Tommy make you feel confident, and I passed the driving test with dmw from the 1st round. So happy, I recommend to everyone this school! Joe and Michelle are very friendly and answer all your questions, very responsive.

Negative experience: Absolutely trash ! Don't go here , you're better off attending a different auto school. The instructors sleep while you drive , and yell at you for doing something wrong, don't know who allowed them to become instructors in the first place. Yes the deal is good but you definitely get what you pay for. The communication from this place is horrible. You can call 15 times and they still won't get back to you , you can email and leave hundreds of voicemails and not get a single word back. I definitely recommend going somewhere else with your hard earned money !

Negative experience: Tom is the best driving instructor he’s doesn’t make me feel nervous and I learned how to drive quickly only with three lessons out of the six I have. Now this is where it gets bad I’ve been trying to book my next lesson for 3 weeks and I’ve been calling a lot and no one answers the phone call and it’s starting to get annoying but anyways Tom is the goat

Negative experience: You pay for what you get. I had a very bad experience with this school. I signed up for this school in april with the 15 driving lesson package which includes (15lessons, pickup/drop off, 5 hour class, signing up for road test, a vehicle for the test). In the beginning I was given a very unprofessional instructor, so I asked for a different one. Its an issue because later on I learned that they have had alot of incidents with this first instructor. They were giving me a lesson a week and sometimes I had to wait 2 weeks. After 3 months I Have completed 13 lessons and tried signing up for the mandatory 5 hour class. When I tried signing up I was told to call the Thursday before the Saturday which is when they do these classes. When I did a different person told me I signed up too late and now I had to wait 3 weeks for the next available one. Ridiculous….I ended up taken that 5 hour class the next day at a different school. After, I called to sign up for the road test and they said I had to call on Thursday the person that works ONLY that day was In charge of road test stuff. It was a Monday when I called. I decided to look up dates for the road test. They were a minimum of 2 months wait. Somehow with luck one date appeared one month from now, So I took it. When I called Thursday to ask about the car I needed for the road , which is part of the package. They said they didn’t have one available for that date because the only road test instructor they have wasn’t available. I emailed to asked about getting somewhat of a refund since I paid another school for the 5 hour class and the car for the road test and won’t be using foxautos. Its been over a week and not a single response. Luckily this is new york and there are 10s of other schools. Amethyst’s driving school is where I should have gone from the beginning.

Fantastic experience: I took 6 lessons with Brian and learned great tips! His way of parking is awesome and easy to remember and helped me a lot during my road test! I took my road test on the Coney Island site and passed! I would definitely recommend this driving school due to the great prices and I recommend taking lessons with Brian!

Negative experience: Despite all the good reviews I read which made me choose this driving school I had a very bad experience. Although it has an affordable price I would rather pay more for better lessons. I read all the good reviews and so I chose Hughes as my instructor. I had minimal experience with cars, and never drove. He made me feel so anxious and nervous and didn't believe that I would pass the road test. There were times during my lessons when he was on the phone, and after having 10 sessions I still didn't feel prepared for the road test and I failed the first try. I took it at another driving school and passed. They are very unprofessional I wouldn't recommend this driving school.

Fantastic experience: I used to take classes from a different driving school and I failed my first time taking my road test. However then I went here, fox. And I wanted to get my license fast because I knew I could drive. Which I told them. And they were very understanding and gave me a full week of lessons. My instructor was Polina, and she was amazing! She gave me great tips, helped me build my confidence when driving in traffic. Taught me how to perfect my broken u turn and parallel parking! Take lessons here it’ll benefit you a lot !

Fantastic experience: Alex Here. First I would like to say this was the best money I’ve ever spent you get more than what you pay for. My Instructor was Scottie Kross. I came here with ZERO driving experience and I let scottie know this from the beginning. He let me know from the beginning that as long as I listened and followed exactly what he says, I’ll pass the road test without a problem. I was nervous, but scottie will make sure you’re comfortable and relaxed. This holds true while he converses with you so you forget all about the anxiety of driving. He will show you tricks with parallel parking, to making 3 point turns. His way of teaching is simple, intuitive and unrivaled. I heard of other instructors not being attentive or fail to fix your mistakes from other schools, but here you will pass your exam guaranteed. I can’t thank instructor Scottie enough for his excellent teaching, everyone should come here and remember scottie is here to help you on the road to success!.

Fantastic experience: I had good instructor there. His name was Scott . All of my friends didnt pass the test . We all had test at the same time but they had diffrent driving school . I pick this one cause of the reviews . Thats was good decision. Highly recommended.

Positive experience: Started from the bottom, never got behind the wheel. I decided to go with this school based on its reviews. I was assigned with Scotty, a very patient and funny instructor. He helped me gain confidence behind the wheel, and 3 months later I passed my road test on the first try. I definitely recommend Scotty.

Fantastic experience: I’m not one to leave reviews, but it is worth it for Fox Auto Driving School. The staff is just amazing, hardworking and so are their prices, they help you instead of ripping you off like other schools. Joe is the one in the office and he is just amazing, he will go out of his way you help you with anything no matter how chaotic his day is going, and that is something not all driving schools will do! He assigned me my driving instructor who’s name is Scottie! Where do I begin with Scottie, he is an amazing, kind and PATIENT driving instructor who knows what he is doing! He makes you feel comfortable and confident when driving and will always correct you in any mistakes made throughout the lesson. Scottie will dedicate his time to you completely during your lessons, and if you’re feeling nervous he makes conversation and tells amazing stories lol ! Fantastic experience: Where do I begin? I called this driving school based on high rating/reviews and boy did they deliver. Joe is the guy who pretty much runs the show, very friendly and helpful he will go above and beyond to accommodate your needs whether it is for driving lessons or to schedule the road test. Unlike other driving schools they don't try to milk your money and sell you unnecessary driving lessons you don't need, they always hit the "just right" spot of your needs. My driving instructor was Scotty, excellent driver and even better guy, friendly and easy going, he will teach you whatever it is you're 'lacking' while driving, he won't just show up in passenger seat staring at his phone like other instructors do while you struggle behind the wheel, matter of fact he won't even answer his phone calls while he's teaching you how to drive even if it is his wife calling to tell him that the house is on fire. I passed the road test with ease thanks to their hard work. I guarantee you that Fox Auto Driving School wouldn't have the high rating they do if it wasn't for people like Joe & Scotty.

Fantastic experience: I found Fox Driving School online last month. The driving instructor, Scotty, was assigned to give me the 6-hour refresher driving courses. He's an excellent driving instructor! Fantastic experience: I took my test today at Seaview and passed today. I had a great instructor who took his time with me. His name is Scotty . After not being able to drive for months. He was very understanding and patience. Compare to the other instructors I had in the past. I would highly recommend you go to this school.They prices are affordable as well.

Fantastic experience: Hugh and Scotty are both very excellent instructors. They know exactly how to prepare new drivers for the road test. Hugh was very patient with me and taught me everything I know, because when I first started the lessons I had no experience driving. They are both very friendly. Scotty took me to the road test and made me feel a lot less nervous and more confident and I passed the road test!

Fantastic experience: Hugh is one of the best driving instructors you can get hands down. He instills great confidence and teaches you in a manner that is very easy to understand and you leave each lesson having learned something. Hugh actually cares about his students and you can see the satisfaction he receives when your driving ability has progressed while under his instruction. All teachers should strive to be a bit like Hugh.

Fantastic experience: I bought the 6 package driving course, picked Hugh as my instructor and set up my schedule. They are very flexible with scheduling the driving course through the week. Joe is very helpful. I came to this driving school with zero experience in traffic but after consistent training with Hugh, I learned very sufficiently in a short period of time. Took my road test today 7/15/19 and passed it! Thanks a billion to Hugh. I kept everything he taught me in mind and stayed focus. I highly recommended Fox auto driving school if you’re looking to learn how to drive.

Fantastic experience: There were some miscommunication for scheduling the road test, but that stuff always happens. Hugh, driving instructor, taught driving like family. Praised for doing well. Yelled for making a mistake. Told me what i needed to improve on.

Negative experience: Same experience like the person who wrote a one star review during 2014 on Yelp. Disorganized with scheduling pre licensing course. I called 1 month before I pay online and called again during the week the pre licensing course. They told it was the next week. I was told it was this week and I let it go and wait for next week wednesday to call again. Same answer, oh it was not this week. Now it is a Tuesday. Before I made my purchase, I make sure they conduct the pre licensing course on weekends because I work full time. If they cant get the pre licensing schedule, how am I suppose to trust them with the 10 driving license. There is only 1 person working there name Joe but he acted like we never spoke, when he was calling me everyday during the beginning of the month when I inquire about the packages and scheduling date.

Negative experience: This has to be the worst driving school in the world first off for the five hour class all the guy did was talk about how to save money and insurance didn’t talk about how to make turns or anything at all in the matter 2 I pay for driving lessons and for some reason this is the only place that they never have time the guy always showed up late and then when your I. The car doesn’t say anything I try to tell him my weaknesses he didn’t even care to listen also they are the only place that for some reason it’s a problem to take a lesson before your road test if your from the area I recommend sunset auto school they treat you with respect and very professional they take honor In serving you but fox auto school could careless someone from the state or Business bureau Check this place out because they don’t even do the whole five hour class they cut it into two hours about insurance wth smh please don’t go here

Fantastic experience: HU JH is great and cares about you passing your road test. When you register, ask that HU be your instructor. He will make sure that at the end of your lessons you come out knowing what you are doing. He will make sure that you pass your road test. I recommend HU JH.

Fantastic experience: Great driving school. Got my license early January thanks to my driving instructor Hugh! He was a great teacher. He has a lot patience and gives you all the pointers you need to pass your road test and be a safe driver. Driving School was also a very reasonable and affordable price with helpful and friendly staff. Going back for my defensive driving course as well. Try them you won’t be disappointed. Fantastic experience: Hugh taught me from the absolute beginning, where I did not know where the pedal or brake was. All the way to passing the road test with so much confidence that I had no time to feel nervous or think of failing. In fact, he teaches beyond the road test, in fact, he throws you into the deep end of the pool where you learn how to navigate traffic in real time NYC style. He is so passionate he will tell you whatever will get you to be a better driver and a better person. Driving license guaranteed. Avid NBA fan as well, too bad he is a Golden State Warrior fan, and they are currently losing to Kawahi's Raptors.

Of the instructors there, I have to say that Brian is the best, by far! When I decided to re-learn how to drive after a number of years of getting my license, I was VERY nervous. However, it was Brian who reassured me that everything would be fine. He was right. He has the knack of turning driving from a dreadful to a fun-filled experience. He also has the ability to use certain short phrases and or acronyms that have greatly assisted me with my parking and various other driving scenarios. Brian is a funny, patient, and kind-hearted person. He takes the needs of every client into consideration. He is truly one in a million!
