Driving School of North Texas is the best, most innovative driving school for teens and adults in North Texas. Our goal is to train our students to be safe, confident drivers. With locations in Allen, Frisco and McKinney, we strive to improve the safety of our roads and our communities. We offer Drivers Education classes, Driving Lessons for teens and adults and DPS Authorized Road Tests.

Fantastic experience: I’ve had multiple instructors during my time here, and they’re all great. Some worked better for my personal learning style than others, but that’s just personal preference. They all do a very good job teaching and going over what you need to learn and prepare you for the test.

Fantastic experience: Instructors are great. Very patient and professional. Some of the cars take a minute or two for the AC to really kick in, but everything else is amazing.

Negative experience: I took my son for a driving test in Frisco East and the instructor Fred was absolutely rude and incompetent. He should not be completing road tests without knowing driving rules. Don’t bring your teen to this awful place.

Negative experience: As a single mother with 2 children, one in which is disabled, I understand all too well how much your day can be impacted if the smallest inconvenience throws off your tight schedule. I scheduled my son’s driving test perfectly with his DMV appointment that fits within my tight schedule along with time allowed to take off work in order to do so. In having a disabled child, time at work and finances are just as tight as my schedule. So I get it. I also understand that mistakes happen and overall we try our best. I made the honest mistake of getting locations mixed up on the morning of my son’s driving test. I tried calling to explain and see what my options are so no one’s time is wasted. No answer. This honest mistake caused us to arrive 3 minutes past the allowed time. Although the gentleman said he “feels for our situation” he was more concerned of his tight schedule and unwilling to help resolve or come to any resolution what so ever. So now I’m out $75, having to take more time off of work, pay an additional $75 (somehow) in order to get my son’s driving test completed before his DMV appointment that I scheduled 4 months ago. Time is money people so please don’t make the honest mistake like I did and have 3 minutes put you in a time crunch and financial bind if you schedule at this place.

Negative experience: Very rude and disrespectful behavior. I walked in to ask about the road test, the lady at the front told me I need learners permit for that and right before I complete my second question she told me “that’s a DMV question, we only teach teens how to drive” and walked inside her office.

Fantastic experience: I had Ms. Laura, she was always supportive, got us snacks, and helped us each step of the way. She made sure to help me schedule make up days and everyone at the front desk was so supportive. I don’t regret anything about taking this class. Negative experience: My daughter has been in this school for three weeks and has NEVER been more traumatized than riding with instructor Doug!!! Me and my wife are EXTREMELY upset about our daughter’s experience with him!!! There is NO excuse for this for a fifteen year old child!!! I will be there in person to speak with the OWNER or at best, the person next in line!!!! VERY UPSET

Fantastic experience: The tests are easy to follow and the drives give beginners the chance to practice and look out for danger on the road. My instructor was careful and always reminded me of all of the possible things that could wrong when driving to stay alert. Mostly really relaxed and explained everything in detail.
