Fantastic experience: I had three lessons with South Bay Driving School and was able to pass my behind the wheel test on my first attempt. I had a great experience with my instructor, Rocky. I am generally a very unsociable and nervous person, but I felt at ease with Rocky. Rocky was very calm and patient while also giving good constructive criticism. He is very knowledgeable about the criteria and routes for the DMV driving test and gave me very specific advice. He also took my request to try driving on the freeway even though that wouldn't be on the driving test.

Fantastic experience: I loved going through the training with South Bay Driving School. They were very helpful in setting up the sessions and are very friendly to work with. My lessons with Nina Davar were awesome! She’s very patient and gives good constructive feedback. She made me feel comfortable driving and gave me good tips for the driving test.

Fantastic experience: We used SBDS for all 3 of my kids and the instructors were great. Rosie and Rocky went above and beyond to help them and were so patient and knowledgeable. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend! We have used South Bay Driving School for 2 of my 3 sons now and will definitely be using them again in a couple more years when my youngest is ready. Rocky was our instructor and he is super patient and also went above and beyond! SB Driving School does a great job of sending text and email reminders of upcoming coming reminders and Rocky was always on time (early actually) for each appointment (I also love that they drop off and pick up which made planning much easier with my work schedule). Aside from teaching the basics, they also review what is on the driving test and will drive you around the DMV location to help you prep for the test (and on the freeway even though it’s not part of the test).

Fantastic experience: The instructors here are very nice and informative!! I had two instructors, Rosie Salas and Gabriel Rivas, and both of them are extremely good instructors. They both put a lot of thought and effort into their instructions and make sure to cover both general driving and the driving test. I just passed my driving test first try with the help of this driving school and these two instructors!!!

Fantastic experience: The instruction here is absolutely amazing ! I had Alfred, Destiny, and Nat as coaches and I am so glad I did. Alfred was always so easy to talk to, kind, and a great mentor for me. He taught me all the basics with great patience and I am so very thankful for him. Destiny was super genuine, chill, and a blast to talk to and learn from. She helped me tremendously in excelling and pushing my driving skills to the next level. I am going to miss her fun stories and conversations. I also had the great privilege of learning from Nat, who helped me so much in preparing me and overcoming my nerves for the driving test. Her energy and enthusiasm was so infectious and I am so glad to have improved my skills even further with her guidance!

Negative experience: This driving school is an absolute joke. We bought a package of 3. The first lesson nobody turned up and my son sat and waited and waited and waited. Finally we called them to tell them the driver didn’t turn up. They said oh she was in a driving accident (which is alarming from a driving instructor but accidents happen) the driver was ok but they never called to tell us. So we rescheduled. The next lesson the driver turned up 45 mins late and then I kid you not got my son to run around her errands!! Then through the drive through to get her food!!! The next lesson. You guessed it - didn’t show up again! This time when we called they weren’t even aware their driver didn’t show up. After that we were done. Booked with EZ street driving. Much better. Trust me, save the stress and book any other driving school.

Fantastic experience: South bay driving school is amazing. I had Rocky as my instructor and he is just the best. Very encouraging, super nice, and overall a good person. We had great talks while driving and got to know him. He is very helpful. When i made mistakes he explained exactly what i did in a nice and calm manner.

Fantastic experience: the instructors at south bay were amazing. I had been with Rocky for 5 sessions and he was able to really drill his lessons into my memory while also being really fun at the same time. I had only been with Alfred once, but his calm and collected way of communicating was exceptional. Both are 5 star instuctors.

Nat, was patient, knowledgeable and fun to work with. When I met Nat, she expressed a passion for the work she is providing to our younger generation. Positive experience: My instructor is Rocky. I would said without him I couldn’t pass my drive test. He is very patient and responsible and thorough. He is willing to teach you more even though is over the schedule hours. I took two courses with Rocky. I realized to pass the drive test it’s more important you have a responsible instructor and it save your time and guarantee you can pass the test. I will totally recommend you to take courses with Rocky.

Fantastic experience: Can honestly say that if you're thinking of getting your License this is the place to get the help, the instructor's know there stuff, but are calm and collected which is important and can say that i got the best one's Alfred being the one i Requested the most, but Destiny and Oscar we're also amazing. Fantastic experience: Southbay driving school is our go to for our family! Rocky is such a nice instructor. He made sure my daughter was aware of all the necessary knowledge for her driving test. He was very punctual and very clean presentation, very professional and kind. The website was easy to sign up and schedule all the courses. Basically a brand new car to use.

Negative experience: The worst of the worst. The first lesson the guy was suppose to turn up at the house and he called asking if we could meet him at Burger King as he didn’t have breakfast. So we tried again and this time they sent a woman who just never showed up. No call… just didn’t show up. So when I called they said oh that’s weird… yeah you’re right the car is still here. Let me see what went on. Never heard back. So we never bothered and went with a different driving school.

Specifically, I noticed Ben and Rocky were the best drivers from this place because they are super friendly/chill while also really informative/helpful. Fantastic experience: My instructor was Nat and this was my first lesson with her. I went from driving in Australia to California; which means new rules, mph (instead of kph) and on the other side of the road. Nat was extremely compassionate and adjusted her teachings to my scenario. She is very supportive and takes her time explaining each step & rules. She celebrates your wins and works with you on any weakness. She is very intuitive if you are anxious, and will help guide you into your driving experience with ease. I highly recommend her and would recommend her to any of my family/friends.

Fantastic experience: This place was absolutely amazing. I will take my test soon. I had the same instructor for all 3 lessons I had, Rocky. Not once was I ever insecure about my driving. He taught me my safety check, corrected my mistakes, reminded me of the rules of the road, and even helped me commute to school. Not once was there any awkwardness between both of us and he made me very calm while driving. He is also a great person to talk to and is very knowledgeable about the road. Fantastic experience: I just wanted to express my gratitude to this school. Nat was my instructor and she was incredibly helpful in preparing me for not just the test but driving beyond that. I really appreciated the extra material she brought with to educate me on the specific scoring categories of the road test. I had never seen the grading sheet before one of our leasons and it gave me some things to forcus on in order to pass. Nat was so patient with me and pushed me to actually commit to scheduling a date for my test. She gave me so much confidence and I couldn't have passed without her help. This school is great

Fantastic experience: BEST driving school ever! I easily passed my driving test today! I had the most amazing and helpful instructor Rosie for all my 3 2hr lessons! I remember being so afraid of driving at first. Doing the driving lessons especially with Rosie made all the fear go away! She's very helpful on what to do in certain situations and totally helps you learn to drive (even if you've never been on the road before) which was like me on my first lesson. She made me so confident on the road. I 100% recommend this driving school. (Also, give Rosie a raise she did so well teaching me!!) I'll never forget this driving school as it helped me so much be the great and defensive driver I am with my shiny new drivers license!

Fantastic experience: My driving instructor was Bree, she was amazing. She helped a lot, she answered all my questions and gave me pointers throughout our lessons together. She gave me advice and taught me a lot. We went over everything and at the end of each lesson I got pointer on what to work on. She was very helpful. She is also easy to talk to which helped during the driving lesson. She made sure I am prepared for my behind the wheel driving test. She made sure I worked on everything I needed to in the lessons we had together.

He is patient, encouraging and fun - that truly made me enjoy the learning and driving. I never had driving experiences before but was able to pass the exam for the first time and started driving with confidence in one month. I worked with a few other instructors and the experiences were great too. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: South Bay Driving School has been a wonderful experience for me. My instructors were all eager that I learn the abilities I needed to pass the test. It's critical to pay attention to what they're saying because they already know what will be on the test, and all they want is to see you succeed as a driver. My instructors, Alfred and Gabriel, were a key factor in helping me become a more confident and skilled driver. They taught me skills like smooth lane changes, parallel parking, reversing, and pulling into parking spots, all of which helped me pass my driving test on the first try. Without South Bay Driving school I do not think I would have passed the driving test.

From my initial phone interaction with the owner and through my 3 driving lessons with the AMAZING instructor, Rosie, I can't say enough great things about my experience. Rosie was on time for every lesson, kind, patient, knowledgeable, and made things light and fun. After those three lessons, I passed my Driving Test at the DMV! I used South Bay Driving School's option to be escorted by their Instructor Alfred, and test in their vehicle. Using this service and having Alfred there to walk me through the process, combined with the skills that Rosie taught me, was the perfect combination! I will definitely recommend Rosie, Alfred, and South Bay Driving School to all of my friends!

Fantastic experience: I just completed my instructional driving hours with the instructor Rosie and I couldn't have asked for better mentor to drive with and learn from. I had learned from back in September when I had hardly started to drive and I remember how nervous I was when we began driving. I also remember how easy it was to become comfortable at the wheel instead of fearing it all the time. This most recent lesson wasn't any different, in fact, it was even better since I had already a lot more familiarity with the road. I was still nervous, of course, but Ms. Rosie's amiable and warm personality helped me to just enjoy being able to cruise along streets against the crisp ocean breeze. Despite her friendliness, Ms. Rosie does have a sharp eye for watching on how you drive and corrects it if needed. I wish that more teachers could be as genuinely concerned about how students learn(?) and encouraging about what they teach like Ms. Rosie. I think that would help make the world a brighter more positive place. Thank you Ms. Rosie! Thank you South Bay Driving School! I definitely feel a lot better being on busy roads now!

For a decade I worked on the other end providing exceptional services to IT giants I know how to keep customers Loyal to the company and having them be the main advertisers of the company. Now I am on the other end being the recipient of the Service. I deliver great service , and so I do Expect a very high standard of service ! She reigns on Topnotch driving instructions. Her name is Rosie.I waited for her for almost a month as she has so many bookings. She is an Amazing driving Coach! Efficient, Stretched me beyond my Imagination, Organized, Always punctual , Cheerful, Inspiring, Wholeheartedly dedicated, Bold yet Cautious as she always encourage Defensive driving. On my 2nd or third lesson with her I have already been confident driving on the freeway with my husband. If every Instructor is like her. Getting a DMV license would be a breeze. Today 1.18.21 I got my DL. The Examiner told me I was his 8th and examinee that day , and I excelled . He gave me 100% passed! I did my homework firstly with driving School , South Bay Driving has professional, patient, happy people. Lastly to maintain your high standard and if you are willing to wait, Rosie might be your instructor too and Another happy and a new CA DL holder.

Started practicing in a parking lot, then eventually moved onto the streets, and then eventually to the hills. Awesome and patient dude and would definitely recommend to anyone looking to learn.

Fantastic experience: I took a manual driving lesson with Ali before leaving for Europe. I had a great experience and would definitely recommend taking a lesson over learning from a friend! Ali has over 35 years of experience and was a fantastic and patient teacher! I only had time for one lesson, but would definitely recommend more than one before you try to drive through a hilly medieval citadel...but I lived to tell the tale thanks to Ali!

Fantastic experience: I took classes with Alfred before my driving test and passed the test in the first attempt.His teaching is above the next level.He note and point out all the mistake during your classes and help to correct them.I really recommend him for your behind the wheel driving classes.

Fantastic experience: Andrea was really quick to reply. I think she got back to me at like 10pm on a Sunday when I sent in a question a couple hours before that. Ali was a great instructor to teach me how to drive stick. I wanted to find an instructor to teach me and not someone with a stick car and wanted to make some cash. It was worthwhile driving a bit to Torrance to take the lesson. We covered all of driving situations and he was patient with me. Highly recommended
