Fantastic experience: HORRIBLE.. This place needs to vet their instructors before hiring. The instructor I have is Julio he is by far the absolute worst he bad mouth the receptionist in Colwells. He’s overall nasty when it comes to instructing, he yells at you for every little thing (I’ve had to yell back and tell him to relax). I explained to this man I have anxiety and I’m trying my best as this is my first time behind the wheel.. He’s very disgusting I’ve had by far the worst 4 driving lessons with him. It’s a shame on the days I’ve had my lessons I’ve prayed for cancellations due to his abruptness and the way he behaves. The nerve of this man to be this way and have bad breath. I wish I never would’ve wasted my money here.. If you get Julio ask for someone else you won’t regret it..Hire new instructors maybe that’ll work because the school overall is a great driving school.

Fantastic experience: I passed my road test with this driving school Pete is a very good instructor he seen that I had potential in my ability to drive and supported me every step of the way he was very patient with me in my lessons he gave me all the advice needed to pass my test and overall this is school is a 10 out 10 would recommend thank you Pete

Negative experience: My mother signed me up for Colwell’s driving school the receptionist seemed pretty nice Customer service was good on their part But on to the driving part My instructor’s name is Carmen when I first entered the vehicle she was showing me the method of steering hand over hand as she was teaching me, I realized She was very impatient and proceeded to rush me Telling me I quote “COME ON COME ON LETS GOO” at that moment I felt overwhelmed already like I just got into the vehicle and this was my first school that taught me hand over hand So I was not used to this. Then as i start driving trying get used to driving hand over hand She was yelling at me a lot For little and big things I was getting very frustrated because I didn’t pay you to yell at me I paid you to Teach me how to drive not overwhelm and discourage me then As I’m performing my parallel parking she was Stating that their method of driving is the only right method like if it was a competition I feel like she needs to be a bit more patient right after the Lesson I felt very discouraged I didn’t feel like I learned anything Because She was overwhelming me as I asked her What should I work on? She proceeded to tell me Everything When I try to ask her on specifics, she rushes me out the car for her next appointment The only good thing I can really say about her is that she very detailed Oriented She just needs to ease up a bit she act as if I’m gonna crash the car when I’m driving

Negative experience: I recently purchased 3 refresher driving lessons from your school because I recently started back driving after a very long time not being behind the wheel. I had Julio as my instructor for all 3 lessons and Julio has zero patience and no people's skills when it comes to helping people behind the wheel. All this man does is get nasty and yells every time you make a little mistake. There is no need to be hostile and quite frankly raise his voice at every single error big or small. I am all for constructive criticism but Julio does not need to basically get very angry and rude at every little mistake. I am not the only one who have said this about Julio. Having Julio as a driving instructor left a very bad taste in my mouth. I will never use him again. No one should have to deal with an impatient driving instructor.

Negative experience: I was just at McDonald's and I saw one of there instructors drive up the sidewalk I guess she didn't see the in ramp right next to her or she just can't drive i won't let this instructor teach any one to drive she is dangerous

He was calm and gentle and truly empowered me to take my road test when he felt I was ready. Pete, your work on me and how you motivated me and corrected me in such a compassionate way, will forever be in my best memories. You didn't just enable me to pass, you made the experience one to enjoy and for that I thank you. thank you for your patience and for building my spirit and confidence even when I doubted myself.

Negative experience: Even though this driving school was close to my house, the quality of the instruction was not good. The instructor did not in my opinion do a good job. Also the staff is super rude when you go to the office, they definitely need to work on customer service.

Negative experience: HORRIBLE! I decided to go with this school because the prices seemed fair... This school is the perfect example of the saying " YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR" I don't know how this business is still running! Firstly, the instructor Pete SUCKS! He constantly yelled at me and was invested in making the lessons extremely difficult so that I can end up paying for more classes. Before and after leaving every class with him (I took 5 classes) i was overwhelmed and extremely anxious. When I expressed my anxiety to him he would say "well, I can't help you with that" LISTEN TO ME, IF YOU HAVE NEVER DRIVEN A VEHICLE DO NOT GO WITH THIS SCHOOL!!! I was lucky that I already knew how to drive I just had to brush up on a couple things. But I can see how they can trick you into taking more classes because they are going to make it EXTREMELY HARD! Yall on the day of my road test, I was so nervous! I decided that Mr.Pete was soooo bad that I needed to book with another school! Luckily I was able to book another school Rivera Driving school and they gave me one 45 mins lesson and took me to take my test y'all I WISH I had went with them from the beginning ! Firstly, their cars are NEW, very comfortable to drive and breaks that work like magic. I passed my test with because of the other school ! The other school taught me how to park correctly on 10 mins !!! The instructor at the other school was SO GOOD!! and REALLY CARED ABOUT ME AND WANTED ME TO PASS THE TEST AS MUCH AS I WANTED IT! I was not going to write this review, but If I can save others from wasting their money and time with this company I'll write this review 100 times more! The customer service at the office was great! But my instructor should fired immediately! And their cars need an upgrade as well! The car was dingy and smelled like cigarettes

Negative experience: I decided to take my highway lessons at Colwell because it was recommended to me and the lessons were cheaper compared to other schools. Unfortunately, my instructor Carmen made me feel nervous and discouraged throughout my lesson. She made comments like “I’m surprised you passed your road test” and even banged on the passenger door at one point while instructing me to look at the side which made me jumpy. She spontaneously asked me to parallel park just because she “wanted to see how the other school taught me”. I felt it became a competition about which school was better. I remember constantly glancing at the time hoping for the lesson to be over with. I hope Carmen will learn to be more compassionate and patient with new drivers. I will not be coming back here for more lessons.

Negative experience: I don’t know why this place has as many stars as it does but Colwell’s Driving School is completely unorganized and unprofessional. The driving instructor Julio called me to say I was late to our lesson and that I would not get another one - although I cancelled this lesson the day before with the office, and the lesson was actually an hour from when he actually called. Don’t waste your money. Ruki’s Driving School is only a few minutes away.

Negative experience: I witness the front desk lady very disrespectful to a client. My wife is pregnant so we politely asked to use bathroom she sarcastically as ever said McDonald is across the street ☔️.. when the lady left she got on the phone to continue gossip n be extra towards the respectful women .. please business owners don’t have women who are disrespectful

Positive experience: I had 2 different instructors. The first one Ronnie I think his name was .. was late or did not communicate / completely skipped my appointments. He spent most of the lesson on the phone. Our personalities didn’t match. It is what it is. I was then matched with Peter who, bless his heart understood my anxieties with driving and did his best to prepare me for driving test. I’m someone who has never had any driving experience before Colwell esp. not in the city. Unfortunately, he talked quite a bit and at times it helped with my anxiety. For Peter alone, I’d give a higher rating. I’ve done 10 lessons with Colwell and will be trying another school. I’ll come back if the other school doesn’t work. Thanks for y’all help Colwell.

Fantastic experience: My experience with cornwall's driving school was the great one. My instructor Julio he is very strict stern a no nonsense instructor. Fantastic experience: I recently had been taught by Chris for my driving lessons, and I can't say enough good things about the experience. In just five lessons, Chris not only taught me the essential skills I needed to pass my road test but also instilled in me the confidence to be a safe and responsible driver. Chris is not just an expert behind the wheel but also an excellent teacher. His patience, explanations, and tailored instruction made the learning process enjoyable. He focused on areas where I needed improvement and provided valuable tips that I'll carry with me throughout my driving journey. I was amazed at how quickly I progressed under Chris guidance.

On my fifth day.of practice which was yesterday I had my road test and passed. Very important is the hand over hand driving skill. I knew pull and push so I had to learn, very easy. Fantastic experience: Chris was my instructor he was teaching me how to drive and on first I pass my road test if you need real instructor with lots of experience Chris is the Master to teach you how to drive and pass your road test for driving license!

Negative experience: I honestly should have left this review years ago. I’m not sure if much has changed since my time here - but I’ve had a horrible experience with this driving school as a student/new driver. I have also witnessed how the staff at the front desk can come off a bit rude and abrasive at times - so I can definitely resonate with the complaints regarding their customer service. Additionally, I've had two different instructors (Carmen and the other was a man - I do not remember his name) and they were both very impatient ‘teachers’. It's as if they expected you to come to driving school already an expert. They did not make me feel comfortable behind the wheel AT ALL but in fact, at the time, increased my discomfort through all of the yelling. I have given this place the benefit of the doubt many times because I know it is a popular driving school in the community - but I’ve gotten the same assessment each time even with changing my instructors. I completed my classes at another school & the experience was like night and day. There’s a difference between knowing how to do something Vs. knowing how teach something. It doesn’t matter how many years of service you have behind your name - it can still be rendered ineffective if your customer service skills are extremely poor. I pray that this organization has gotten better with this since then & has acknowledged the similar feedback from other students.

Fantastic experience: Someone recommended Colwell’s to me and I’m happy they did. Very affordable and convenient. It was always very easy to schedule lessons as well as the 5 hour class. Chris was my instructor & he explained things to me very well. I was able to pass my road test the first try. Now that I have my license I plan to take highway lessons. Thanks Colwell’s !

Fantastic experience: I was recommended to colwells driving school by two of my coworkers and I did regret the decision of going there. I’ve never drove before going there and my first attempt at the road test I passed it. Thanks to my instructor Chris, you’re the best. Job well done.

Negative experience: The worst driving school. Customer service very poor. Management is the worst. Drivers don't show up to appointments no phone calls or text to cancel. But when you have an emergency they refuse to reschedule or refund your money. So the cancelation only works in there favor and you the individual has told hold to contract. If I could give them a zero I would.

Fantastic experience: They changed their location. When I did my lessons, they were located on 1001 E Gunhill. My driving instructor was Fidel. He was so patient with me. This was years ago. He was so shocked I passed. Lol

Fantastic experience: Colwell’s is a great driving school. I took the 5 driving lessons and my instructor was Chris. What I also like is that they pick you up from your resident. Chris is real chill, whenever you have a question he will answer it for you. On the day of the schedule road test i passed on the first go and it was raining…raining I was impressed. I recommend anyone to go here and get it done 10/10

Fantastic experience: Carmen is a GREAT driving instructor, she is very detailed on everything you have to do in order to pass the road test. I took 5 classes and the day of the road test I took one driving class with CARMEN and I passed on my FIRST try. If you go to this school ask for Carmen. My mom and sister went to another driving instructor named Ron and it wasn’t a nice experience for them they failed two times and had to go to another school in order to take their road test. If you choose Carmen your BETTER OF PASSING THE FIRST TIME!!

Negative experience: They said the road test was included in my 10 class package then changed their mind when I took my 5 hour class somewhere else

Fantastic experience: My experience with Ron as my instructor was great. He knew how to develop my confidence and motivated me every lesson I took. His strategies were very useful. 'Mirror, Mirror, Blindspot'. I will never forget those instructions that he used to get me to remember the main things that I needed to do. I would recommend him any day. Thanks again Ron for helping me to pass my road test.

Negative experience: RUDE! That's all I can say about the receptionist staff. From the top to the bottom they are unhelpful, unprofessional and uncaring. I don't know if they manually write down schedules or what but, misscheduling someone who reconfirmed three times before hanging up the phone and then to hear the receptionist "manager" trying to blame and shame the customer who has multiple records of the correct date written down is an easy way to lose a customer. Do better Colwell's, do better. The instructors are good at teaching but if you can't understand spanish accents, it can be difficult to learn.

Fantastic experience: My experience with Colwell’s was a great one. My instructor Ron was very patient with me especially since I never been behind a wheel before. He let me know when I was ready for my road test. Although my nerves got the best of me the day of, he told never to give up because he knows I can pass and I eventually did pass. I used all the methods he taught me and I passed. I highly recommend this driving school and Ron as your instructor. Their lesson packages are better than most schools I’ve seen as well.

Fantastic experience: My instructor was Julio. He was always on time and very patient. He show me everything that I needed to know to pass the test. I pass the test on my first try. I was nervous, but he encouraged me to get "tough" and do my best. If you need someone who is going to really teach you how to drive ask for Julio.

Positive experience: I passed my driving exam about 4 or 5 days ago my driving instructor was Chris . Chris is a great instructor , a little a bit difficult to understand at times but if you have any questions for him he’ll answer them as clear as possible. I recommend going to Cowells driving school because other than they’re amazing instructors they also pick you up from your house and take you to your road site and back home after that as well , same goes with practice the instructor picks you up and drops you off home . You can also choose to have a double lesson or not which is great for extra practice . Amazing school , they will definitely help you get your license and become a great driver .

As per previous reviews I understand what some said about the ladies at the office being rude I advise you to look beyond the unprofessional Receptionist and practice with Chris. Believe me you won't regret it My family been using Colwell for over 20 years.

Negative experience: The receptionist lacks proper communication skills and tack. Some of the drivers are very good others don’t deserve to even teach a dog.

Fantastic experience: My instructor was Miguel!, very patient and kind man. showed me everything I needed to know to pass the test. I am very happy to find out that I passed my test! thanks to the team working in the office and the field with students they all did an amazing job preparing me for the test!.

Negative experience: Listen. They’re not bad. But my experience personally amazes me. I had 10 lessons with an instructor who couldn’t really elaborate well enough for me in English. I took my road test & failed for doing stuff I thought I was doing right. That’s cool, I can take that. My fault, after the first 3 lessons I should’ve asked for a change right? Okay, cool. So I go back to purchase 3 more lessons & a road test. I ask for an instructor who can speak English well. Cool. I get a Jamaican instructor. First lesson I’m supposed to meet him he’s late & gets stuck at road tests with other students. I had to take my lesson with a different instructor who was great. My next lesson, the first one with the Jamaican he was late. That’s fine. I then get a free lesson for my inconveniences. That means for the day of my road test I have 2 more lessons (4 in total) before the test. Cool. I get to the school, the very same Jamaican instructor who missed my first lesson & was late the second time calls out on me because of an family emergency…. I’m thinking “okay great, they’ll just have another instructor drive my car to me & teach me.” The instructor they place me with is yet ANOTHER dude that doesn’t speak English very well, in a NEW vehicle that I had to try to get used to before my ROAD TEST! So I’m learning new car, he’s barely coaching me, and then of course I failed for the second time. Word of advice for students who’ve never driven before taking classes before, for those who don’t own a car and don’t know anyone who has a car, OH! And Especially for those who don’t speak Spanish, ASK for Pete, he’s their best English speaking instructor. But I am done with Colwell because I am so frustrated with how things went for me. I had 14 lessons 4 different instructors & failed twice. Colwell just isn’t for me!

Fantastic experience: My instructor was Julio he was very understanding..we even had a misunderstanding with one of my lessons on a Sunday I contacted the school they tried their best and I got the issue resolved.I went and did the test and passed it ..I would recommend anyone to this school it was definitely worth it ..thanks Julio and Colwell’s driving school.

Negative experience: The school used to be very good but not anymore. The instructors are amiable, but the receptionists are very rude and not pleasant to their customers. It feels like you have to beg for their attention. I stop my lessons with them because of the attitude and the behavior of their receptionists. I do not recommend this school is a waste of Time and money.

Negative experience: Terrible experience. I called on a Monday to confirm my Saturday appointment for a driving lesson. The receptionist said that I did not have an appointment for Saturday but I remembered I booked an appointment for Saturday at 1 PM and paid over the phone. On the exact Saturday, my driver instructor and the school was repeatedly calling me about attending the appointment for that day at 1pm, which they previously told me otherwise. The miscommunication and disorganization of this driving school is absolutely unacceptable. It’s a waste of students’ time and money, and I would not recommend driving with this school.

Fantastic experience: My instructor Ron was very patient and cooperative with me. He’s respectful and never once showed me a bad face even when I wasn’t getting it, he made me do it until I got it . Even when I doubted myself he motivated me and for that I’m thankful. I got my license on the first try. I recommend Ron, never a dull moment when driving you enjoy your lessons while you’re learning at the same time. Big up Ron.

Positive experience: I used Colwell's years ago when I decided to do my 5hr and take classes. I called to get prices on the classes and have my daughter sign up being that Colwells been around so long and its like family. The receptionist, Yashida who picked up was rude, didn't take her time in answering my questions. I get it, its a business and phones ring, but as an employee to this establishment, you have one job... and that's CUSTOMER SERVICE and because of her exceptional customer service, I told my daughter to sign up for classes at another Driving School ( where I read reviews on ) who's receptionist was SUPER FRIENDLY, INFORMATIVE AND SWEET! People are nervous enough to take these classes and driving lessons, they should be nice and assuring over the phone!

Fantastic experience: Sent my daughter here for her liscense, julio was her instructor, great and patient. The receptionist where so professional and super helpful.

Negative experience: I just went in and one of the receptionists at the front mentioned to me Last week on the phone that if I went in today to sign up and pay, id be able to take the zoom 5 hour class tonight, apparently I was misinformed and the reality is I had to sign up last week to take the class, so I asked once again if I can go in today and the girl said to come in and sign up for next week Tuesday, I went in and I was told there is no more availability unless I do next thrusday which I work all day and night, though I know my schedule should not affect theirs, their miscommunication and lack of knowledge of their own policies is extremely misguiding, not to mention the 2 girls upfront avoid eye contact and don't work with you or care to give you options and stare at you like robots.

Positive experience: My experience with colwells driving school was very professional. My instructor, Carmen was very calm and thorough out my driving experience. She’s knowledgeable about driving and will help you in your weak areas until you get it. Thank you!

Negative experience: How to loose customers? Called all day today 06/09/2021. Lady kept putting me on hold. 15+ each time. Hard to believe you’re receiving that many calls? I’ll take my business elsewhere. Thank you.

Negative experience: Very poor quality of service and highly unprofessional. They called me an hour to my road test to tell me that the car I was to use for the test was in the mechanic shop. Imagine that? There was no replacement or alternative means to get me to do the test. This test was scheduled since April only for you to tell me that the car is faulty. Who does that? However if you miss a class or report there late, they ll cancel the class without refund. If you want value for ur money and time, COLWELL ll be a disaster and would end in tears for you. Don’t ever come here.

Negative experience: Wish I could give zero stars. Went there to reserve the 5 hour class and they were so rude. The woman told me to go to another driving school when I asked about options other than Mon-Thu 9 to 4. I work during those hours and wanted to know if I could reserve it online. The only reason I went there was because someone recommended it and I called twice but noone answered the phone. I wouldn't set foot back in there even if they were giving lessons for free. The first impression was a BIG TURNOFF!

Negative experience: On the website it states closes at 630p. I call to reassure if there was any vacancy for upcoming dates for lessons. She tells me last person 445p close at 5p. Finally get off work early enough (so I think) to make it the latest by 430p. I get there 415 door lock, no bell, but a sign that states please knock lightly and be PATIENT.. so I’m patiently waiting no one comes to the door. I call she answers...(clearly you can’t be closed, why would you answer the phone) I said I knocked and waited and no one is answering the door can you please let me in. With a attitude she states we’re closed.... I said how when I called and confirmed and now your telling your closed. Long story short whether your business is running slow today and speedy tomorrow if you give a specific timing keep that timing nonetheless also change the time online as well. It’s a inconvenience to me and others and bad communication and refuse to take my info down so that it can be put in the system... I’ll find somewhere else. Probably good teachers but horrible customer service.

Fantastic experience: My instructor Chris is amazing ! Great sense of humor and a great teacher. I will soon be taking my test & I’m confident I’m gonna pass it. Jasmin & Yashira are great as well !! They answer all of my questions in detail and are always very nice when I visit the office.

Fantastic experience: I had Julio and yes he’s strict but! Very passionate on teaching his students the RIGHT WAY of driving ...he literally taught me how to park In 10min! Great instructor as long as you’re used to tough criticism. Oh and the ladies Jasmin & yashira at the school also very nice and professional

Fantastic experience: Failed my driving test like twice before with a different school. Took a bunch of classes for several months with the school and was able to pass the road test because of the school especially my driving instructor Pete helping me build confidence on the road to where i was ready. It's totally worth the value.

Fantastic experience: Normally I don't write reviews but for this one time only I will, Ok so first I went to Lehman driving school in the Bronx on Fordham road and grand concourse I chose them because the prices were very affordable and heard some good things about them nonetheless i paid for 7 lessons there did not pass at all I would say a portion of the blame can be placed on me and the definitely the rest will be placed on them why is that? Because the lack of communication/instructing certain students at Lehman, no disrespect but I prefer someone who speaks English since that is my primary language and not someone who speaks strictly Spanish so i did not pass any road lessons due to certain things i wasn't taught there so here i am paid for one lesson with Colwell's Driving school which included one lesson and one road test and i passed on my first try which was today my instructor there his name was Mr. Chris and I have to say for my one lesson he taught just a little more that I did not know because I was already experienced in some areas so he didn't have to teach me what I already so for that I have to say thank you a lot for your time and help he is a very nice man and knows how to instruct the correct one. i highly recommend this school to anyone looking to pass! Fantastic experience: I got my license today thanks to Colwell. I failed with a another driving school and a friend recommended Colwell. I don’t regret coming here at all. I took 5 classes with Pete , he’s tuff but he knows his stuff that will help you pass. The ladies at the front desk are helpful and nice. If you’re looking for a driving school in the Bronx try Colwell for sure!!!

Fantastic experience: I'm so over joyed, I've gotten my driver's license for the 1st time, thanks to the help of Cowell's Driving school and one of their awesome staff Chris. I only did my 5 hours class with them and few driving lessons and 1 road test and I pass. Chris is an amazing instructor as I read reviews on line about him and the school and requested him and yes I prove it to be true myself. The communication upon 1st entering colwells was so warm and friendly too.

Fantastic experience: I had two different instructors the guy was my favorite and the woman was awesome as well. It was so long ago I don’t remember their names but I really like and felt comfortable here.

Negative experience: My experience with this school was very bad .the office stuff was very unprofessional and they stole 1 of my class even after I called and cancelled that class. Then I called 4 times and they keep avoiding the matter by saying we are working on this matter.i also visited them twice for this matter & for a road test and they can’t give any solution. Moreover the lady was busy with her cellphone. I’m very disappointed and I’ll never recommend Colwell’s Driving School to anyone. Instructors of that school can change the schedule whenever they want but if u request to change even for an hour they will say I’m an independent contractor I don’t work in office.

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience with this driving school. My instructor Fidel was very informative and patient. He made sure that i did everything accurately and he never got upset or frustrated with me. He made me feel very comfortable and confident. Thanks to him i passed my road test the first time around. Negative experience: The office receptionists are nice and the 5 hour class is good. This poor review is due to Julio and his inadequate teaching skills. He only yells his instructions and then yells again if you make an error. No constructive criticism, only yelling, which isn't helpful. I made a mistake due to nervousness and he yelled "there's no need to be nervous!!!" How does that make sense? I am not the first to leave such a review about Julio. Hopefully he can be counseled because surely this school has lost business due to him. People work hard for their money and deserve to be met with professionalism.

Negative experience: I was never a student here, so my review is not based on the learning experience I had; I was actually taught by a responsible driving instructor. I am writing to review how one of their driving instructors nearly rammed into my car on the side where my infant's seat is. He/she was driving recklessly! I suggest they hire instructors who follow the rules of the road! The liscence plate number was HRV1244... BEWARE PEOPLE!

Fantastic experience: I have to give this school a 5 star rating due to the fact they are very professional working staff who has patience from answering the phone to scheduling lessons especially when you’re a first time driver. The receptionist at the front are AMAZING!!! They are so sweet and so patient. Other schools I’ve been too the receptionist have been so rude and nasty that I was actually waiting to receive that same kind of a attitude from them but it was nothing like it. They helped me schedule my driving lessons and really gave me advice on what to expect on the road test. My instructor was Pete and I’ve recently passed and gotten my license, all I can say about Pete is that he is amazing as well. Super patient and professional. But besides that I just wanna say THANK YOU COLWELL’S SRIVING SCHOOL FOR EVERYTHING!!

Positive experience: I have been going to this driving school since the year 2018. Their teachers are okay. The prices are also not too bad. However, their customer service is very poor. It's difficult to book an appointment over the phone with them.

Positive experience: Took my 5 hour class here Thursday at 6 pm. The instructor asked for a show of hands for who wanted to take a break and no one raised their hands and so we skipped the 30 minute break which was excellent. Great instructor as he gave us the number for a freelance traveling mechanic, handyman, lawyer, his son's moving co, & a used car dealer! He was very into teaching us how to pass and fail the road test and be safe drivers & even gave us a copy of the paper they use during the road test. At times he spoke too fast and I couldn't understand what he was saying (he mentioned he was from Guyana & he had an accent). Not saying he should change, obvi he was speaking quickly because he tells these stories all the time & he was excited about the content, but it's a 5 hour class and slowing it down will fill the hours and the info will be understood by everyone. Not sure if I would take lessons here based on the war in the reviews. The customer is not always right BUT customer service is always right.

Fantastic experience: Carmen is an amazing instructor. Whatever department you are having trouble in she will go over and over with you. She doesn’t stop until you get it. Thanks to her I have a license. I would recommend this place over Al Sorano. At least they teach you steering techniques here.

Fantastic experience: My experienced with the 5 hours class was Instructor Pete is knowledgeable about the roads, driving key skills in order to be safe and a great driver. Also teaching me the ins and outs looking in blind spots, breaks, gas, steering and also to think and be confident and not to let anxiety or fear to take control over driving judgement. Mental strength and practice makes a big difference when taking road test. Colwell's Driving School is a professional and respectable school for drivers that need to be safe and responsible on the road and in life as a new driver.

Fantastic experience: These people are great! They helped me to finally pass my test in February as a result of their detailed 5-hour Pre-license course. The teacher really did a wonderful job of drawing diagrams and pictures on the board which helped me to learn. I had taken this Pre-license course several times at other sites but they kept expiring. This place even includes its own driving video made by them. I learned a lot and it has equipped me to keep a clean driving record since receiving my license in February of 2018. I would recommend these people to others. Thanks Colwell! 5/5

Negative experience: Carmen was my instructor, she has no patience whatsoever with new drivers. She doesn’t explain anything to you your first lesson. I missed one lesson and was charged still!! I switched my driving school immediately! SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY.
