She made my daughter comfortable and confident, not just by preparing her for the road test but by teaching her how to be a good driver.

Fantastic experience: Autonautics is THE best! The team, led by Nick, are organized, accommodating, and scheduling with them is easy - I felt very im control of my experience. I am a first-time adult driver and was nervous about learning our to drive (especially in NYC!) but I felt comfortable with the routes my instructor planned out for me in our lessons and learned a lot. Shout out to my instructor Lawrence for being so patient and knowledgeable - I passed my road test on the first go!

Ron was extremely patient, understanding, and explained concepts in an easily comprehensible way, answering all my clarifying questions. Fantastic experience: My daughters’s driving experience has been great with Autonautics. Her instructor Patti has been nothing but amazing. She is so knowledge, patient and courteous. Patti made her feel so at ease with driving. Her tips and tricks were so helpful -leading her to pass her driving test on the first try! I will be asking for her again in two years for my next driver.

Fantastic experience: I had a wonderful experience from day 1 with my driving instructor Inocencia. I was very nervous to get behind the wheel, as I did not know how to drive at all. She was very helpful with calming my nerves, and with a little practice I was able to pass my road test a couple of weeks later! I recommend that everyone asks for Inocencia. She is great for beginners and kept all of my lessons very interesting!

Fantastic experience: I did 10 classes here and my experience was very good. I definitely recommend you ask for Themi. He is very professional, responsive, and super patient. I started from zero and he really took the time to explain everything gradually and in great detail. He really helped me build my confidence behind the wheel and had no problem repeating instructions again and again until I got it. He was also very respectful of my time and made sure I did my sessions in a way that fits my schedule.

Negative experience: Kinda hit or miss. First instructor I had sucked at his job. First lesson he told me to just pull out of the curb without making sure I knew what to do. He was very unhelpful, I asked questions like "What are some common mistakes I should look out for?" and he would say "It's different for everyone" with no elaboration. During multiple lessons he was visibly very tired and inattentive, sometimes looking at his phone. I think he is evidence that Autotronics does a poor job of screening their instructors' performance and because of him I'm giving them 1 star. After an instructor change, I was assigned Ron who was fantastic: Meticulous, careful, everything a driving instructor should be. He deserves 5 stars. I had the 5 hour lecture with a ~40 year old man named something like Constantopoulos and he was also amazing. Very thorough and helpful but also made the lesson interesting. Autotronics- Please raise the salaries of the two men I named. Please figure out who my first instructor was and teach him how to do his damned job.

Fantastic experience: I had an amazing time learning with Inocencia. She made the course very enjoyable and was transparent about scheduling while helping a lot clarifying the process of getting your licence. I always looked forward to driving with my group.

She was very concise and knowledgeable about all aspects of the road test, and made sure that you have the aptitude to pass the exam. She also fostered a very friendly and accepting learning environment for all driving skill-levels. Before I was assigned an instructor, it did take a few calls and in-person visits to settle a schedule.

Fantastic experience: I had the pleasure of working with instructor Inocencia during my time at this school. She was very friendly, and I was very comfortable learning with her. I passed my road test within a day of my first class with them! Inocencia was beginner and experienced driver friendly. She gave me many fundamental tips on how to succeed on the road test, such as parking, k-turns, and turning. I was accompanied by Dimitri on the day of the exam. He was also very friendly and knowledgeable, and he gave me more tips on how I could improve.

Fantastic experience: First and foremost it must be said that without Inocencia, my instructor, I wouldn’t have passed my road test so fast. It is a “must” to ask for her by name if you want the highest possible chance of passing your road test. She is extremely knowledgeable and professional. She has that tough motherly love we all need nowadays to get the job done. I would absolutely recommend her with the highest regards to anyone who is serious about passing!

Fantastic experience: Took driving lessons with a different school in the neighborhood and did not pass my road test. Decided to try again with Autonautics, and I highly recommend this driving school! I had a very positive experience and knew I made the right choice when I took my first lessons with Andonis (Anthony). I asked for him again (after I passed my road test) for highway lessons. He is very professional, knowledgeable, and calm, which in turn made me feel less anxious/nervous, and more comfortable with driving on the highway for the first time. I also wasn’t worried about my road test because I was very well prepared thanks to him…Also, when I called the school I spoke with Chrissy, who is very sweet and accommodating; from setting up payment plans to scheduling lessons. If you are considering Drivers Ed, I would most definitely go with Autonautics, and would highly recommend Anthony as your instructor!

Negative experience: Very unsatisfied with the service Autonautics is providing. I’ve called twice and complained already and still the same things are occurring. We’ve paid for my little sister’s driving school package (10 lessons package) since OCTOBER and it is now February and she’s only completed 4 lessons based on the instructor’s schedule. She has Themi as the instructor, they told me they were going to reassign her a new instructor and still she’s meeting with themi. I get that emergencies occur but to continuously see the same pattern of inconsistency after a leave of absence is unacceptable. For a whole month I’ve put my time in trying to teach her how to drive because the school has not done its job and by now I’m fed up. My sister said after the last driving lesson which was two weeks ago (and no contact since) Themi said she was ready for the road test…. If that is true, I feel as though that initiatives should have been taken to schedule a road test and have the remaining lessons be completed in the package. This whole process seems long and drawn out and when you’re learning how to drive, I believe consistency is key. To have someone practice once a month is not ideal when you are learning. Anyway, I would not recommend Autonautics to anyone from this experience.

From setting up my schedule, the office was very easy and friendly and they connected me with the best instructor ever, Inocencia. From the first meeting, she made me feel so comfortable and confident. She helped me to get over my fears and had me fully prepared for my road test, even with the scheduling! I passed at my first attempt and even after the test, she kept in touch and offered further encouragement. I'm looking forward to scheduling a highway class with Autonautics and will definitely be requesting with my same instructor.

Fantastic experience: I passed my road test after two weeks of classes. Inocencia’s patience and expertise made every part of the road test feel easy. Parallel parking was simplified into three easy steps to always get the spacing the examiners look for. I would recommend everyone I know who is learning how to drive to learn from Inocencia!

Fantastic experience: I had the best experience with Autonautics Driving School. My driving (Maria)instructor I would reccomend to any and everyone who is looking for lessons. She is extremely kind, compassionate, and understanding. I was an absolute nervous wreck when I bagan my driving courses but Maria helped me gain the confidence I needed to pass my road test. She kept me relaxed and helped me keep going over everything I needed more practice with until I got better at it. With this being said I would 1000% recommend her to any new drivers who need help gaining their confidence behind the wheel. She is by far the best driving instructor out there!

Negative experience: Warning to the community- do not send your kids to Autonautics driving school and if you see their cars on the road give them a WIDE berth! One of their cars backed up straight into my car yesterday (despite me leaning on my horn and several cars behind me doing the same) the driving instructor did not use her second break to stop this from happening, and then proceeded to scream at me and refused to give me insurance information. The poor teenager behind the wheel looked traumatized, and clearly was not ready to be out driving busy streets in Bay Ridge! This is also not the message you want taught to kids about how to handle an accident. Even worse, the driving school owner refused to take accountability and is also still refusing to share insurance information. Steer (pun intended) clear!
