Motorcycle Safety School @ CUNY KCC: Reviews
Fantastic experience: Paul, Ali, and Sandra are the best 10/10. Couldn’t have asked for better instructors
Fantastic experience: Ali, Dimitri and Paul were great and fun. I wish the website worked as well as they instructed us… so much safety information great experience!!
Fantastic experience: Finished the motorcycle safety course with instructors Ali and Paul today. The location is good and the two instructors very good in their advice and guidance. Ali and Paul know their stuff and try their best to explain and show each exercise thoroughly before the students try it. By no means an easy course, but made fairly easy by the instructors. Highly recommended. Thanks KCC, Ali, and Paul!
Fantastic experience: I took classes here a second time around with different instructors and I must say it was a much much BETTER experience for me. I had Paul & Nison as my instructors for both Part 1 and Part 2 during the weekday. They are both AWESOME instructors!!! Very patient and help you to understand your errors and easily help you correct them. They also made the class and exercises fun for everyone in class, which alleviated a lot of anxiety and nervousness. Most importantly, they emphasize on safety and confidence. I passed with a perfect score and couldn’t be happier to finally have my license and start shopping for motorcycles! I would highly recommend to take motorcycle classes with Paul and Nison. It was such a positive class and they really do care about their students. They both deserve to be recognized for conducting awesome classes for their students. Thank you a million times!!!!
Fantastic experience: Amazing school and the teachers very friendly and so nice so patience and good experience Very safe And do you have different bike? Good quality for learn. I love this place. Thank you so much. For the help God bless everyone. Good luck. ✌️✊️️️️️️️️️
Fantastic experience: I learned a lot and had a blast. The instructors were very well prepared and knew how to deal with all different kinds of ppl and skill levels of the students. James Pravasilis, Paul Venn, James Chun, and Nisonkhay Sadykov are amazing. Thank you and the whole team of MMS. I'm so glad I took the course with you and successfully passed. Now, I am able to get my M license.
Fantastic experience: Dimitri was so helpful and knowledgeable, He gave us a comprehended & full course. Totally recommended
Fantastic experience: Great instruction (Dmitriy). Recommended
Fantastic experience: Great class. Jimmy is a great instructor and full of useful information and stories.
Fantastic experience: Great experience overall! Ali was a great instructor and would highly highly recommend.
Fantastic experience: Great course , Jimmy was an awesome instructor and kept it real the entire time.
Fantastic experience: Fantastic experience with my BRC. My instructors over the two days were Michael, Jimmy, and Andrew. All were super attentive, really focused on proper technique and safety. Regardless of experience on a bike you will leave here a better rider.
Fantastic experience: I always wanted to learn how to ride a motorcycle from since 6yrs old and it was my first time learning with MSS and their instructors. Now I have the waiver for the "M" endorsement on my license. Solid recommend on my end
Fantastic experience: Just finished the Motorcycle Safety School at KCC, and it was awesome! The instructors were super helpful and made everything easy to understand. The course covers all the basics and a little more, so you’ll feel ready to hit the road safely. Highly recommend this for anyone wanting to learn how to ride or improve their skills. Plus, you get to skip the DMV road test, which is a huge bonus! If you’re in Brooklyn and thinking about learning to ride, this is the place to go!
Fantastic experience: I had an awesome time and experience with MSS at KCC, 2 day basic riding course (waiver) My instructors were: Day 1 - Leon, Jimmy & Dmitriy Day 2 - Dmitriy, Andrew & Ed The instructors will yell at you, do not take it personally(as they told everyone)! You are wearing a helmet, sound is blocked by a minimum of 40%, and They want you to learn and stay safe! Like they said, once you're out on the street, you won't have the chance to make the mistake. You only have one life to ride. You'll get plenty of 5-10min breaks, so bring snack/water with you if needed, listen, watch, and learn it's okay if you do it wrong the first time. Just do it right the next time. We learn from our mistakes. Our entire class passed the test and got the waiver.
Fantastic experience: Thanks you so much for James Pravasilis he is very nice and professional guy very respectful talking to me helpfully thank you so much again. Very very Bad experience... Very rude and unprofessional. I have very Bad experience with instructor: Dmitriy Shraybman naver chose him. Very rude and unprofessional.
Fantastic experience: I took the Motorcycling 101 with Dimitri and the 2-day BRC with Mike, Ali and Eli. All the instructors were attentive and really passionate about safety. Each exercise was explained thoroughly and notes were always given after every attempt. Definitely a great choice for learning the necessary skills. Never forget ATGATT!
Fantastic experience: I took the two-day Basic Rider course, and I must say it was extremely worth it. Mike, Eli and Ali are all great instructors who are very knowledgeable and helpful. They break down step by step proper riding technique and will take time out the course to individually assist you if needed. I had no prior experience ever riding a motorcycle and I can confidently say after the two-day course that I'm much more ready to ride on the streets.
Fantastic experience: Took the BRC course with James, Andrew, and Leon - great instructors.Learned a lot and exceeded my expectations. Highly recommend
Fantastic experience: Had a great experience with instructor Jimmy & Michael @ the Kings borough college ,my advice if u don’t understand say something even ask can you repeat it again as a first time getting on a motorcycle kept on stalling didn’t understand the concept until they explained after my second day & second practice got it done
Fantastic experience: The best decision was to take the driving course here, several styles of motorcycles, teachers with several years of experience and the best thing is that they not only prepare you to drive a motorcycle but also prepare you to drive a motorcycle in NYC with all the good and bad that that means. Excellent school!
Fantastic experience: A phenomenal educational experience. Jimmy, Brandon, and Mike were amazing instructors, and thanks to them, I went from zero experience to having my license within a week!! Highly recommend!!
Positive experience: Been riding for years but made it official and got my license the instructors were nice an ex Marine . Safety is first you fall over or get hurt it’s over you going home packing and are forced to take individual classes . Well worth the money to get the safety driver discount .
Always great to hear from students and we hope to see you again!
Fantastic experience: This is the place to go for motorcycle training! It’s a good environment, our instructor Ali was super passionate about bikes he gave clear and purposeful instructions and was very helpful thru out. Definitely recommended for anyone wanting to learn necessary skills, or just to waive the dmv road test.
Fantastic experience: This course was an amazing experience thanks to my instructor Paul V. He is excellent, he explains everything so well and makes the course easy. If anyone is taking this course please take it with him. Thanks to MSS school and for my amazing instructor.
Thank you for sharing your experience, and congratulations on passing the course! We are glad that Paul’s instruction had a positive effect on you and are happy to have another safe rider out on the streets.
Fantastic experience: Very organized, well versed and patient instructors and overall a really smooth customer experience. I took the 2 day Basic Rider Course and had a really great time! Highly recommended!
Fantastic experience: Fantastic place to take the motorcycle waiver course. Instructors were knowledgeable, friendly and extremely helpful. Ali and Dmitry, request them. Great instructors. Helped and advised whenever they saw something that I was doing wrong and truthfully I left today feeling I have become a better rider due to their instruction and guidance. More confidant in my abilities and also knowledgeable on things that I need to work on to become a better rider. Extremely satisfied with this course and will definitely be recommending to any person i know that is interested in riding better or getting their license.
Fantastic experience: Robin and Alex are awesome instructors! First and foremost, they really care about safety. But they also have great empathy and understanding of a teaching style that works without fear. These guys are trying to pass along the hard lessons they've personally had to learn from, without overwhelming students with too much at one time. You have to understand that none of the teachers in MSF want to see a rider get injured or killed. How each teacher expresses feedback within the group is their personal style, and varies wildly. Robin and Alex also inspired me to go out and get all the gear and a motorcycle ASAP to practice. Because of them, I passed the skills test with no deductions, and within a week got my motorcycle endorsement and first bike ( 250cc ) . I understand the mountain of knowledge necessary to climb and continue - first person video riding reviews and personal anecdotes are sobering. Thank you for being a great starting foundation of success!
Fantastic experience: I recently took basic riding course here and I have to say, that this absolutely awesome experience. Neville and Elleigh (sorry if I spell wrong) are the best instructors. They know how to do there job.
Fantastic experience: Top notch instructors, if ever needed a refresher or to perfect my skills, I'm going back here. Perfect place to learn if you don't know atoll as well. Ali & Mathew was my instructors awesome team.
Fantastic experience: I want to say a huge Thank you to this school, especially Ali, for the classes, for the detailed explanation, for the vibe and most importantly for the patience!! Dmitry, thanks for the advices. I am someone with intermediate English, contacted your office a lot by mail and phone (I'm sure they are tired of me), but I always received support and answers to my questions. I had little real life motorcycle experience before, so I decided to take a two day course, if you have no experience or are not sure about your skills, I recommend taking an extended course, this is just my recommendation - up to you. I highly recommend this place!
Fantastic experience: I recently completed the motorcycle safety course at Kingsborough Community College, and I cannot emphasize enough how amazing my experience was with instructors Neville Elder and Andrew Scott. They truly went above and beyond to ensure that we received top-notch instruction and had a fantastic time throughout the course. From day one, Neville Elder set the tone with his serious yet humorous approach. He takes the counsel-out policy to heart, so it's crucial for new students to be respectful and mindful of that. Trust me, I learned my lesson the hard way when I impatiently tried to pass a student who stalled their motorcycle. Neville quickly and effectively reminded me never to attempt such a maneuver again. Lesson learned, fair and square! Neville's ability to inject humor into his teaching style made the classes engaging and enjoyable. On the other hand, Andrew Scott was the epitome of a "cool dude" instructor. He had a laid-back demeanor that put everyone at ease. Andrew's approach was slightly more forgiving, allowing us to learn from our mistakes in a supportive environment. It was refreshing to have an instructor who understood that we're all human and occasionally make errors. Andrew's cool attitude and occasional lighthearted banter made the learning experience both enjoyable and effective. Throughout the course, both Neville and Andrew provided clear instructions, helpful tips, and valuable insights. Their passion for motorcycles and commitment to teaching were evident in every session. They made the learning process fun, and their approachable nature encouraged us to ask questions and seek further guidance. Thanks to their outstanding instruction, I had a remarkable two days filled with excitement, learning, and personal growth. The rewarding experience culminated in passing my test with flying colors. I cannot express my gratitude enough to Neville and Andrew for their dedication, expertise, and ability to create a positive and supportive learning environment. If you're considering enrolling in a motorcycle safety course, I highly recommend the Motorcycle Safety School at Kingsborough Community College, especially with instructors like Neville Elder and Andrew Scott. They will not only equip you with the necessary skills to ride safely but also make the entire experience enjoyable and memorable. Thank you, Neville and Andrew, for an incredible job well done! You've left a lasting impression on me, and I cannot thank you enough. Ride safe, everyone! Highly recommended!
Positive experience: Overall a good experience. I have motorcycle experience and did this to get a NY motorcycle license, not so much to learn. However, I picked up several good riding tips. Neville and Mike taught the first day, enjoyed their guidance and tips. Robin and Alex ran the 2nd day. Robin had a lot of good insights. Two complaints, 5 hours is a long time to mostly sit idly on a motorcycle. I'm 60 and I'm really sore after the two days. Also, the test was hard. We kind of practiced for the drills in the test but it would have been much better if they had done the actual test drills during practice.
Fantastic experience: Neville and Andrew are amazing instructors!!! They are very encouraging and they also make sure that you are learning in a safe and constructive manner. It was my very first time riding a motorcycle and they made me feel very comfortable even after I had dropped my bike during a learning exercise. I got back up on my feet and was able to continue course with their reassurance which helped me build my confidence! I definitely had a great experience and would highly recommend them as instructors to anyone! I'm looking forward to learning more from them when I return for the Rider Course 2!! ️️️❤️
Fantastic experience: 10/10. I JUST passed my MSF Course. Mike was my instructor; coolest, chil and most importantly patient instructor. Mike definitely gave out some great tips & tricks. You'll hear this a lot but, I've never rode a motorcycle until I took the MSF. Under the guidance of the instructors you should pass.
Fantastic experience: The trainers are amazing! Kelvin, Rob, Sandra and Mike, everyone is extremely knowledgeable about riding and very clear in delivery of instructions. Highly recommend!
Fantastic experience: Neville was amazing. We have the course succefully ! Thanks for everything! Sorry for the hand of god (Maradona)
Fantastic experience: Great experience! The first day we had Leon and Mike - they were both great instructors who were patient and insanely helpful at every single step. The second day we had Sandra and Robin - again - both amazing instructors who made the entire experience fun, informative, and easy to learn.
Fantastic experience: Yesterday and today I did the MSF BASIC RIDERCOURS. Big thanks to Ali, Jimmy and Brandon, even during the continuous rain and strong wind, they were able to keep the mood high, give us hints and suggestions, using their knowledge and experiences. The goal of the course is giving you a good base for your motorcycling skills and prepare you for the final test, through different exercises that will simulate the typical situations on the road, from the easy riding, maneuvering, u turn, stop and go etc. Each exercise is explained with words, in a simple way, and then with a practical demonstration. A basic rule of the course is LISTEN and when in doubt, ASK, because A,J, and B are ready to repeat and re-explain if there are misunderstanding. If you have zero experience with manual gear, clutch and throttle, try a private lesson or talk/try with a friend that has a motorcycle, this will give you more confidence, if you need it. - in case of rain, waterproof equipment is sold at the class. - the motorcycles available are 125cc or 250cc
Fantastic experience: I recently had the opportunity to take the Motorcycle Safety School course and I must say that it was an excellent experience. The instructors, Neville Elder and Ali, were extremely knowledgeable and made the course both informative and enjoyable. I opted to take the Experienced Rider Course, even though I have been riding for several years. I was pleasantly surprised at how much I was able to learn during the course. The instructors covered a wide range of topics, including advanced riding techniques, defensive riding strategies, and motorcycle maintenance tips. What I appreciated most about the course was the emphasis on safety. The instructors stressed the importance of being aware of your surroundings, wearing appropriate safety gear, and following traffic laws. They also provided valuable feedback and suggestions for improvement based on our riding skills. Overall, I highly recommend the Motorcycle Safety School course, especially for riders who are looking to improve their skills and knowledge. Neville and Ali are fantastic instructors who clearly have a passion for riding and a dedication to safety.
Fantastic experience: These guys will teach you how to ride. Don't get discouraged. Well worth the money. Riding properly and safely is invaluable.
Fantastic experience: Super knowledgeable instructors, Andrew and Jimmy! They will teach you beyond the book and I really appreciate that! Jimmy and Andrew made the whole process fun and easy. I left class with a smile on my face and waiver in my hands. Thank you so much!!! Will definitely go to the advanced class later
Fantastic experience: If you have no experience with motorcycles. I’d highly recommend getting a private lesson first. My instructor for a private lesson was Dmitriy and his teaching was really good. I had a lot of fear and he was able to help me overcome my fear and understand the fundamentals of motorcycles as well while doing so. His explaining was really easy to understand as long as you pay attention. there’s no way you can not understand. I’m glad I did this private lesson.
Fantastic experience: All of the instructors are great if you are looking to get your nys motorcycle license this place is highly recommend thank you Dimitri for all your help.
Fantastic experience: Excellent no-nonsense (given or accepted) instruction in the fundamentals of safe motorcycling. Small class size of 6 students is great for maximum range time and practice. Rider Coach Neville provided great feedback and constructive advice to all of us with good humor and spirit (despite England's heartbreaking elimination from the World Cup). My advice to students- some prior experience on motorcycle will help tremendously (e.g. MSS Motorcycling 101 class), bring a lunch and water, be on time (for real), listen to the coaches and stay humble. Keep your head up and look where you want to go!
Fantastic experience: This is the second MSF motorcycle safety class I have taken as the first one was out of NYS and in order to get the waiver it has to be done in NYS. This class was great and I got more technical tips and practice with Instructor Neville than the other (identical) class. Be warned the instructors do not mess around and if they don't see you getting the concepts you will be counseled out to take it again another time. They want to be sure you are doing things safely and properly and have the best chance of passing. Passing this class will give you a waiver for the DMV road test for licensing. But if you do make it through you will gain some good knowledge and personal coaching tips and will have a solid basic foundation to get you riding. Idk if you can request teachers but Neville was the best and funny as hell even when he was irritated by our inability to follow basic instructions (all in good fun). Motorcycling is super super fun but you don't want to die doing it and this class will teach you this. You won't be dragging a knee and it's not a start to a MotoGP career (you won't get out of 2nd gear tbh) but you'll have a solid foundation for starting your new hobby.
Fantastic experience: I completed the Basic Ridercourse and got my waiver. Everything was great. Coaches are good. I plan to visit the advanced course later on my motorcycle. Thank you.
Fantastic experience: Excellent course. Very informative and hands on learning of motorcycle operation and techniques. Great for creating better and safer habits on the road. NEVILLE WAS SUCH A GREAT INSTRUCTOR, 5 stars all around!
Fantastic experience: Only review I’ve ever written—due solely to how fantastic this experience was from start to finish—though finish is a stretch since the knowledge and guidance continue to this day. Neville’s a real one✨
Fantastic experience: Don't expect fish and chips or an Full English Breakfast from Neville while at this school. Neville will give you good, solid teaching about how to ride a motorcycle. That is what it's all about!
Fantastic experience: I took their road test waiver course. Two days, with a lot packed in. Very thoughtful instructors. Ours, Neville, saw me struggling and pulled me out out to take a breath. Ultimately, I passed and have nearly 2000 miles under my belt now. More confidence every day.
Fantastic experience: I love this place. I’ve studied with Neville. Cool guy, explained everything I asked. No pressure no stress. Recommend to people who don’t know anything about riding like I used to do.
Fantastic experience: Perfect place to get your motorcycle license, staff is very friendly and caring, they really do their job to make sure of your safety as a new rider. Special thanks to Neville Elder! British accent and unbelievable sense of humor makes you experience even more extraordinary. What most important is you are not leaving with just waiver in your hand, you are now in a circle of new friend and Neville him self, answering all your questions. Wonderful!
Fantastic experience: I had a great time learning with Neville, Yoda, and Valentine. They make the process easy and gave me the skills not to kill myself on these streets. I do not envy the mechanic that has to tune all the carbs on all those 1st gen rebels, V Stars, and TU250s.
Fantastic experience: Great vibes! Great place to learn! All instructors are very knowledgeable, with many years of driving experience. I got Neville, Andrew, and James for the weekend class. They have standard motorcycles, cruisers, and scooters. Whatever fits your mood. I definitely feel safer riding now that I got to transfer those skills to my motorcycle. All I can say is I'm a happy driver. If you're considering taking the course or driving classes, this is the place to go!!!
Fantastic experience: I’ve leaned a lot from that school. Nothing is easy in life so they made it look easy for you because of the way they taught us. These two days were amazing. Thank you for each instructors who collaborate. It was very wonderful. I recommend ☑️ Grow Grind ❤️
Fantastic experience: I took the msf course here at this location. Instructor Mike, Sandra, James and Andrew were very knowledgeable, skilled, professional and kind instructors. They made every skill courses fun and informative. Upon completing this course i gained more knowledge and skills on road especially riding a motorcycle.
Fantastic experience: Nevill was our instructor and it was a great experience. Thank you so much.
Fantastic experience: I took a motorcycle 101, 2 private lessons and the basic riders course. I had Sandra, Yoda and Dimitri as my instructors and they did a great job at teaching me and preparing me for BasicRiders Course. MSF at KCC is the best place to learn how to ride a motorcycle and get your license. I strongly advise taking motorcycle 101 and a private lesson before taking BasicRiders Course.
Fantastic experience: MSS at KCC is the place to go if you want to learn to ride and get your motorcycle license. Don't let the location scare you. It is harder to access but the quality of their lessons and water side scenery make it worth the visit. My rider coach Valentine was passionate about riding and teaching while keeping us mindful of road safety. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend MSS to anyone who wants to learn and have a good time.
Fantastic experience: This school has the best coaches Mike, Kevin, and the new coach Alex. Very patient and very kind. The two-day course taught me a lot. Very recommended! ! ! !
Fantastic experience: I had valentine and yoday as my instructors for my BRC1 and BRC2 and they were amazing couldn’t have picked a better school
Fantastic experience: As others have shared, reviews are pretty accurate. I highly recommend Motorcycle Safety School if you are serious about training and are ready to come prepared by being on time and wearing appropriate gear. They send a long email with instructions. Do read it thoroughly. The staff always answered my questions on the phone courteously and sufficiently. Motorcycle 101 and private lessons before the MSF BRC were helpful. If you are a complete novice, it is worthwhile so you aren't starting from scratch the day of the clinic. I worked with Dimitry S. during the 101 and private lesson. He's clear, very approachable and reassuring. I appreciated his friendliness. The instructors do not play when it comes to attentiveness and safety. With that said, they know how to put you at ease if need be. It is possible to be counseled out (two students in my group were), but everyone that made it to the second day of the BRC earned their waiver card. I appreciate Valentine's leadership, efficiency and coaching. If you don't pay attention, he will let you know! Ha! I would take a class or private lessons with him again. The same goes with Dimitry. If you are blessed to work with Yoda, his reputation is outstanding for a reason. I can't say enough about how impressed I was with his approach and instructional philosophy. MSS is a good investment. I looked at closer options, but they have consistently good reviews. The BRC is a bit fatiguing, especially if you have a long commute (I woke up very early in the morning, took a Lyft, LIRR, train, bus and walked to get to the campus at KCC). I intend to take a few more private lessons to practice until I purchase my first motorcycle. I also intend to take additional courses once I have several miles under my belt. Never stop learning. A final tip: check your email for the group you are in, time, instructor and parking lot. It matters and they will enforce it. The lots are in the very back, toward the water. There are no obvious signs along the way; just look for the motorcycles. Bring food and drink, dress to be outdoors all day and have fun!
Fantastic experience: Instructors: Yoda and Kelvin, lots of patience. It was fun learning from them, they made it look easy. Yoda also gave loads of tips on how to become a better rider. And Kelvin guided us through the practice step by step. Couldn’t have asked for better teachers. Only 1 who saw me skid, was Kelvin (raining/wet floor) in the practice. He showed me a few pointers and I Ace’D the Road Test. Thank You… PS: I did not fall kept the bike upright. Lol
Fantastic experience: Andrew (aka Yoda) and Dimitry were my instructors for my BRC licensing course. I could not have asked for a better pair of instructors. I also took a private lesson prior with Sandra. Everyone was great! ESPECIALLY Yoda, he really makes the class a fun learning enviorment! He takes all aspects of motorcycle safety seriously yet balances out having fun to keep everyone paying attention and enjoying the class.
Fantastic experience: I came here for the Basic Rider course. I have to say I have the most wonderful experience here despite how cold and rainy it was. Yoda (Andrew) and Dmitriy were my instructors. I have to say I would have never learned to ride a motorcycle safely without their advice, patience, and encouragement, especially Yoda was the best at making me feel more relax and less nervous at riding a motorcycle.
Fantastic experience: I did my Basic Rider Course here, and, although the location was a bit out of the way for me (especially coming all the way from Queens), it was absolutely worth it. Neville was a brilliant, empathetic instructor--he helped us learn and sharpen our skills all while making sure we didn't get too discouraged if we messed up during an exercise. I had a wonderful experience here. Getting into the campus itself for the lessons requires some extra steps for COVID verification, but once you're in, the Motorcycle Safety School branch here is fantastic. Recommended for new and experienced riders alike!
Fantastic experience: I didn't have a clue as to ride a motorcycle until I took this course! "Yoda" and the rest of the instr there are extremely helpful and highly experienced riders. I highly suggest taking this course if you do not have any experience or even if you do! I had people in my class that had experience and still say they learned things they were doing wrong.
Fantastic experience: Yoda and Dimitry were amazing teachers. They are patient, clear, encouraging, and passionate about what they do. They make learning fun as well!
Fantastic experience: Dmitri and Yoda were great teachers! I would highly recommend. Everything they say has merit and will save a life.
Fantastic experience: GRATEFUL FOR THEM. The instructors here (specifically the ones I had the pleasure of having: Mike, Yoda, Boris) are absolutely exceptional. It’s so incredible to see passion and skill meet at this level. It is not very often you have such an opportunity to learn something from teachers who guide you so easily to accomplish something so difficult. As much as you inve$t in their course, they invest in teaching you— I couldn’t have imagined a better place to ride a motorcycle for the first time and obtain my license. WORTH IT!
Negative experience: Today me and my two friends really really sad because of the MSF Basic RiderCourse the inspector was really really bad, we did what they said still they inspector told us to go home without a reason, also said you are not Following directions Name of the Sendra (female)inspector or Astjohn (male)this two inspectors terrible inspector I wish these two inspectors have to remove from this business. Only we westing time also office told us to tomorrow end of the day is your test. They didn’t told us to test today.
Dear Jigme, according to our records, we believe your issue has been resolved. If this is not the case, please call us at 718-599-1079 and ask for Michael.
Fantastic experience: Great place, the instructors are the main foundation of this place! I took 2 private lessons from instructor named Dmitriy, he has helped me a lot as ive never been on a motorcycle before and pretty much got me ready for the BRC course. Then i scheduled the 2 day course and i was lucky enough to get Instructor Valentin who made sure every student got enough attention and a little extra attention for those who really needed it when they had some trouble. After any pointers you saw the instructors give you can instantly see an improvement on the students riding capability. Both Instructors Dmitriy and Valentin really care about what they do, im sure they care less about their job than they do about the safety of their students which shows that they both have a heart and not just teachers thay just teach and move on with their lives. They gave us advice on our bike choices, our future training and everything needed to stay SAFE in the future!
Fantastic experience: Very pleased with the courses offered. Signed up for multiple classes and I feel confident in purchasing and riding a motorcycle. The instructors were great, explained everything well and were patient with the riders. Instructor Mike is awesome, never smiles but great guy! Will recommend to my friends who also want to learn how to ride.
Fantastic experience: Absolutely enjoyed my time spent learning the basic steps and principles to riding a motorcycle for the first time. Very nerve racking to say the least trying to pick up a new skill in such a short period of time, but I will say it was easy to accomplish with the help of their great team of instructors.I personally dealt with Neville and Boris on my first day. Great guys, easy going. Neville can be a bit intense during Range Exercises which I can understand works for other people but Boris’ calm collectiveness really helped me capture the fundamentals of the tasks and the best way to improve them on the spot. Day 2 was rescheduled due to an unmentioned issue but once the day finally came around, our smaller group was paired up with Elliot. Really awesome guy, wish he’d be sticking around New York because this is the guy you’d want when you’re getting to know your way around a motorcycle. Super Chill, Provides a great understanding of how to perform each task, and knows exactly how point out your areas for improvement while reinforcing your strong points. All in all, definitely glad I made the investment to join this class. Not only is it the fastest way to get your Motorcycle license, it’s also the safest and most efficient way to do so. You’re in a controlled environment with people who genuinely care about making sure you succeed in starting your newfound passion.
Fantastic experience: If you are considering a motorcycle school (and you should), please…. Hands down this is the best place to go! I have years of experience as an instructor in martial arts and other courses and the human beings teaching here are and will be fully committed to help you develop your skills on 2 wheels. These folks care about safe motorcyclist and are more than willing to train you properly. I enjoyed every bit of the course. I have zero complaints and will definitely visit again to take on further courses. Thank you Elliot, Neville, and Dimitri
Fantastic experience: To the entire staff at KCC MSS thank you all for taking the time to create a comfortable and life changing environment to us the new riders. Mr. Elliot Perez you’re an outstanding instructor I took my first private lesson with you and at the end of that session I knew I would retain everything you thought me, your methods of teaching is outstanding the way you uses example break everything down is amazing, it quickly came together for me and at the end of my BRC I received a perfect score on the obstacle course. To all new riders I strongly recommend taking at least one private lesson; if you’ve never been on a motorcycle before Elliot my brother thank you I’m now a rider thank you all.
Fantastic experience: A Very special " thank you" all of my Motorcycle safety School Rider Coach Sir Elliot Sir Neville Sir Andrew aka "Master Yoda" Sir Dmitri Sir Mikey and Especially to Sir John Peter Cruz! Thank you all for everything and for the fun experience . I finally got my motorcycle license "I will see you on the road!" "GOD BLESS" and wishing you guys always a "Safe Ride"
Fantastic experience: Elliot Perez and Mike Cajigas were great. They offered lots of knowledge and encouragement. Nothing but positive vibes for 2 days. Plan on going back for Basic Riders Course II.
Fantastic experience: The experiences I had taking the Basic Rider Course I with Neville and Mikey is one that I will remember for the rest of my life. I also took the Motorcycle 101 course with Elliot a couple weeks before and was so glad I did. Every instructor at this school brings care and professionalism (and when needed, some tough love) to their students, which inspires a really rich learning environment. My class bonded a lot over the weekend and am really grateful for the people I shared it with. If you are considering riding motorcycles, I highly recommend you start here. I can see myself coming back here for more classes in the near future just to keep my skills sharp.
Fantastic experience: Thank you very much to all coaches who provided us valuable knowledge, shared with us their wisdom, experience and passion! Thank you Elliot, Yoda, Neville, Dimitri, Mike! I highly recommend this school for beginners and experienced riders as well! You are a cool team and I wish you all the best and a lot of success!
Fantastic experience: Had such a great weekend at MSS at Kingsborough Community College! My instructors Neville and Elliot were super helpful and engaging when learning to ride. Not only did they prioritize safety in their instruction, but they also understood the importance of having fun while riding and made the whole experience wildly entertaining. I’d highly recommend this safety school to anyone looking to ride a bike!
Fantastic experience: If you’re thinking about getting into motorcycling, I suggest you sign up with these guys for the basic riders course. Neville, Yoda and Mikey were my instructors, and they are Great!! very clear when explaining all the concepts, and during the exercises. I learned a ton, had a lot of fun!! And met some amazing people ! Highly recommend it
Fantastic experience: I had an amazing time on the basic rider course!! Neville, Yoda and Mikey were my instructors and highly recommend them- good instructors and very professionals
Fantastic experience: Neville and Michael are ALL-STAR instructors!!!! I took the Basic Rider Course 2. They went above and beyond to ensure that we were all comfortable, informed, and well prepared to pass the exam. They were patient, detailed, and come early and stay late to be with us. Most importantly -- they made it FUN!!!!!! You could feel the energy and passion both had as instructors and motivated all of us too. I looked into a few places before but HIGHLY RECOMMEND this one. I likely will take private lessons here from either one of them in the future just to keep my skills developed and to maintain muscle memory until I get a bike. Thanks all again!!! Hope to see you on the road soon :)
Fantastic experience: It was such a great experience to go through a 2 day basic course for a license waiver. Everything exceeded my expectations 10 times! Nice bikes and awesome instructors!
Fantastic experience: Took the basic rider class and a couple of private lessons. Try to get Andrew St. John as your class instructor, he creates a good vibe and encourages people. Faisal Mustafa is the man. I need him as a life coach, he really helped me get confident on the bike.
Fantastic experience: I recently took a 2-hour private lesson with the Motorcycle Safety School at Kingsborough College and it was everything I had hoped for. My instructor was very professional, knowledgeable, and kind. He was super thorough and sensitive to my level of experience and needs. I definitely recommend the one-on-one lessons.
Fantastic experience: 100% Would recommend this servive to anyone thinking about getting a motorcycle license. Having taken the intro class with prior motorcycle experience I still learned a ton and consider it a great investment. Plus, you get a motorcycle license waiver is you pass the written and skills exam.
Fantastic experience: The best MSS school. Instructors are very professional, helpful and love their job. They give you good attention and explain everything in details. You will love thr class! Go for it!
Fantastic experience: Took the basic skills (license waiver course) and had a great experience. Our instructor was Andrew St John (YoDa) and he was the best. He did a great job demonstrating, communicating and passing us skills and knowledge. Learned a lot and highly highly recommend this instead of the DMV roadtest.
Fantastic experience: Took a private lesson with Dimitriy and he is the best instructor I could have ever asked for. Explanations were clear and simple and he put me to work after a few minutes of showing the controls. I recommend everyone to take a private lesson before they take the Basic Riders Course.
Fantastic experience: I took the class with Neville and his crew this weekend and it was raining bad thought it would be an unpleasant experience but how o was wrong. Him and his Crew made sure to make the best of while teaching us how to ride. I had a blast and was happy it rained because it gave us a chance to learn to ride in conditions that will happen on your day to day commute. We not only learned to ride his advice on buying a bike and actually helped me not get the bike I wanted but rather then get the bike that fits me, I think that knowledge alone can save some one from a life threatening mistake. I will be doing a private lesson once I get my bike and you better believe it I will request Neville. Thank you for everything and keep teaching your a great teacher!!
Fantastic experience: Took lessons with Neville and had a blast. He’s super helpful and made the whole thing a lot less scary. Also took a private lesson with Johnny before the two day course and that was great too. Everyone here is clearly passionate about riding and it shows. Will definitely be coming back once I get a motorcycle to keep up with more advanced lessons.
Fantastic experience: I took the BRC-1. It was instructive yet fun. I had a great time and feel I learned a lot. The instructors Faisal, Dmitriy, Neville, and Michael all did a superb job in teaching the basic essentials for riding as well as a ingraining safety first. Would recommend.
Fantastic experience: A great place to learn how to ride a motorcycle. My biggest fear in taking classes is having haughty or rude teachers, but every single instructor I had or saw at the MSS was communicative, upbeat, helpful, and frankly just clearly happy to be there. On my first day I had Faisal and Dimitri and on my second day I had Neville and Mikey. All of them were just fantastic. Couldn't recommend this place more.
Fantastic experience: Neville ,Faisal & Micheal we're excellent instructors. They helped me polish my riding skills and also get good basic riding techniques. Highly recommend taking the MSF course of you're considering motorcycle riding as a hobby or for commiting. It will literally save your life. All the best and safe riding. See you out there
Fantastic experience: To say Fizer, Neville, Mikey were great teachers is an understatement. Them and the whole crew were amazing, they make you feel so comfortable riding and don’t make you feel like an idiot for asking so many questions. They all have the utmost patience and really want you to 100% understand how riding works.
Fantastic experience: Learned so much from this course, gave me the knowledge, skills and confidence to start my motorcycle journey. Andrew and Neville were great instructors who go above and beyond. Highly recommend to anybody looking to gain experience from great people. Location is nice also on the water.
Fantastic experience: Recommended for anyone trying to get into motorcycle, 2 days get you ready but I'd recommend extra training after graduation.
