Instructor's Choice Driving

Negative experience: Do not come to this driving school under any circumstances. 1 star is even too generous. They have recently had a change of instructors for the adult waiver program and the current instructor Viqar is absolutely horrible. My first two lessons with him were fine, but the third lesson he showed up 20 minutes late and his car, the one I am supposed to be learning in, reeked of marijuana. The fourth lesson I was supposed to have, he cancelled on me an hour before. He offered to reschedule for a significant amount of time after, despite me informing him of the urgency of me requiring to earn my license. It is December, I have been trying to earn my license since July with this company, but they never reached out to me once I purchased the package, forcing me to wait a month for a reply. Viqar is incredibly unprofessional and was rude and harrassing me via text messages when I called him out for his unprofessional behavior. This driving school has given me immense emotional pain.

Khalid made it very easy to learn and was a great teacher. Finally Khalid ensured safety came first and has turned me into a confident driver.

I highly recommend Khalid for the driving sessions, he is so welcoming and kind, really great for someone like me who gets anxious easily.

Fantastic experience: I liked it a lot. I had Khalid as my driving instructor and felt he was a very good teacher. He directed me all throughout my first 6 lessons and always had a positive attitude. I suggest to have your Behind the Wheel Classes closer together rather than 1 every couple weeks. I realized I learned more if I had 2 classes a week, and I also completed my course very quick! I passed on my 7th lesson and really enjoyed it.

Fantastic experience: My instructor for the in car driving was Khalid. Before I stared I had issues with making sharp right turns as well as parking. In the classes we had my parents and I noticed significant improvement in my turning parking as well as my general driving awareness. He made me more skilled and more is a safe driver.

Fantastic experience: I felt that I learned many new rules on the road and I improved my overall driving skills throughout the 7 in car lessons. I also learned many methods of turning and driving around my community. I believe that it was a seamless process and I recommend anyone else to the same process. Khalid was an amazing coach and helpful teacher as well .

Fantastic experience: My driving instructor was Khalid. He helped me to stop for 3 Seconds and help me with parking. I would 100 percent say he taught me a lot. He also helped me get my liscense quickly which I appreciated.

Negative experience: While enrolling for driver's school, we mailed a paper check to Instructor's Choice. The check was stolen, possibly from the IC mailbox, and used for multiple fraudulent transactions. Have not received a response from Instructor's Choice on how they protect customer's financial data. Recommend either paying them in-person or using electronic payment to protect against paper check theft.

Fantastic experience: I have definitely improved and learned a lot by taking this course. I recommend you request Khalid as your driving instructor. He has taught me all I need to know. Even if you feel nervous to drive, Khalid will always make you a confident and safe driver by the end!

My instructor, Khalid, explained everything patiently and taught me better driving techniques that I didn’t use before such as the new turning handhold. When I would make a mistake he would tell me exactly what I did wrong and what I was supposed to do instead. It was also very helpful that he was able to pick me up from my house. Fantastic experience: We have used Instructor's Choice for 2 teen drivers (so far) and have been very happy both times. The on-line course work is self paced so students can work at their own speed depending on their other commitments (or they can take the class in person if that is preferred). We have also found the in car driving instructor (ours was Khalid) very patient, calm, and knowledgable. Great experience all around and would highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Recently completed 4 independent driving sessions with instructor Taj. The car condition was good, and Taj really made sure that I was comfortable driving and gave me valuable insights for each area I may encounter while driving. He made sure that each of these sessions were tailored according to my requirements (Highways, parallel parking, navigation use etc.) and responded to all of my questions with great patience. There was great flexibility in scheduling my sessions and the instructor was very punctual for all of these sessions. The experience as a whole was extremely helpful in giving me road confidence, highly recommended.

Negative experience: Well, I see all these great reviews and wonder if the instructor had anything personal against my son. He had a horrible experience! I think the driving sessions with me were more educational than with the instructor. My son shared with me that he did not give him any insights or tips, a couple of times put him in a dangerous driving situation, and just commented, “good job and you need 10 more hours!” My son literally did some of his driving requirements for hours driven with him, but he acquired most education and tips for the road from me! So, what was the point of paying for this driving school? Not much helpful! I could have just taught him myself as a parent and then gone through DMV for the rest of the requirements! Very disappointed and I will not recommend this school to others. I am surprised at the positive feedback based on the experience my son had! Something doesn’t add up here.

Throughout my time in the car Khalid, was my instructor and he definitely had a lot of great experience and help while I was learning the road. He gave me helpful tips, and was patient and kind with me as I learned. He made sure I was comfortable driving and gave me valuable insight for each area I may encounter while driving. I also was able to get my license after feeling very prepared to take my in car test. The sessions were very available and I had plenty of time to plan when I would be driving. The experience as a whole was extremely helpful and now I feel prepared to drive on my own.

Fantastic experience: I JUST PASSED!!! :D Khalid was my driving instructor and if you have terrible driving and test anxiety, please take him. He is extremely patient and informative. I come from NYC so I did not know about the rules of the road until Khalid. I learned so much from him. I learned how to safely change lanes, yield, smooth right turns/left turns, parking, the right of way, speed ect… Kahlid is flexible with scheduling and he corrects you nicely about your mistake. Fantastic experience: Instructor's Choice is a great program. From start to finish, I always felt in a comfortable environment: not rushed, but always held accountable for my mistakes. The instructor, Khalid, was very personable and never yelled. He was probably the best instructor I could have, and I am really appreciative of him. Only negative, if at all, was that I sometimes missed things that Khalid said due to his moderately thick accent. I do have a minor complaint about the program, however. Doing the adult waiver, it was sometimes difficult to find other adult drivers to the extent that I had to wait one to two weeks to schedule a new lesson. For instance, when another adult cancelled on me, I was forced to wait 2 more weeks to get my next lesson. I wished the scheduling was more transparent, such as a calendar with times I can schedule and see future times.

Fantastic experience: Had to take the class with fewer than recommended lessons due to a time crunch, but Khalid was very understanding and taught me as often as he could. He was very patient and calm in the car, helping understand what I did wrong and how to work on timing. Highly recommended his class.
