Fantastic experience: the online driving class was amazing!! my teacher Kramer was a very good teacher, and though i was worried the zoom would make me bored he was actually really engaging! the only issue is that scheduling the drives is a bit wonky since you dont get much say, but the help with the knowledge test was worth it :)

Fantastic experience: Took the written exam and VERY GRATEFUL we went here. My daughter forgot her Instructional permit, so they let her take the test while I drove home to get her ID/permit. They wouldn't grade it until I showed up with it, but so grateful they let her take the exam. She did end up passing, so we were very grateful for them working with us!

Fantastic experience: I like 405 driving school, I even didn't pass my writing exam at my first time ,but it is because I didn't study the whole knowledgeof the driving book , So it is my mistake. But I Pass my writing exam by score 90% correct *_^, I was so excited and after one day I took my road driving exam, I passed it also , I was so excited too. My advise is you must learning the whole driving writing book, it is a really good book and really safety to us to all drivers. Then you can driving safely in your future *_^good luck! Xue

Fantastic experience: I had very good experience with this test center. Kramer Gill is patient and kind and ready to help you. Most of the time they have back to back schedule. So you can expect 50+minutes for driving lessons.

Positive experience: Course was explained well and eased my teens nerves. Written exam was easy to schedule and complete. Scheduling drives is difficult they simply don't have enough instructors. The instructor my teen did have was great and caring. 2 out of 5 drives have been completed and now have to wait for a magic openings. New drives are supposed to be released on Thursdays but last week's openings that were released were for almost a month away. Cancelation drives are almost always early afternoons which doesn't work for most that work.

Fantastic experience: We came here for the written test to get a driving permit. The website was super easy to navigate, scheduling was easy, and my emails were responded to very quickly. The Renton office was clean and easy to find, the test moderator was easy to understand and was very helpful with providing information about our next steps. He even went as far as emailing me links so I could find what I needed faster. I highly recommend!

Negative experience: Can't get drive times, never any slots available. Three of my kids have gone here, so it's not a one-time issue.

Negative experience: The main reason for the low rating of 405 Driving school is due to how they manage on-road driving lessons for students enrolled in their drivers ed program... The Drivers Ed (in person) program does include on-road driving lessons. However, they are not built into the the drivers ed curriculum. You have to schedule the drives separately from the class, and doing so is nearly impossible. I called to see if I could just schedule all the appointments in one month intervals, but they don't do that. The only way to schedule driving lessons is online. Appointments are released throughout the day on Thursdays, for the next 4-6 weeks. They expect you to check the website, repeatedly, throughout the day to see if any appointments are available as they release them. I have done so, for the past 2 months, and so far have only managed to obtain a single reservation. I think their process creates a situation where you get so frustrated trying to find an appointment, that you just give up looking. i.e. You pay for a service that you can never actually get. That's certainly about where I am with them.

Positive experience: The instructor teaches in a great way that the contents are easy to remember. 1 thing that is not good is the system on bookingbdriving lessons. It is hard to tell if the schedule has not been posted or it was full. Wish they will redesign the interface.

Fantastic experience: hello, student of Kramer and Rhea here I took this course and it was one of the best online courses I've taken. normal school online during the pandemic was messy and laggy and nobody knew what they were doing, but with this program, and my fabulous teachers, this course was so easy to understand and even easier to learn. the tools provided were even more amazing and so helpful. I'll miss taking these classes, and I'll miss my teachers greatly. I truly suggest that if you want an online drivers ed program, this is the best one, the tools are amazing, the teachers are even better, and all in all, for someone who hates going in person, this was perfect for me.

Negative experience: It’s clear they’ve spent a lot of money on getting people to leave positive reviews for this driving school. I highly discourage anyone from taking their driving test at this school. A few years ago, my sister had her road test here and was assessed by an examiner named Chris, who was professional, patient, and fair. However, my recent experience with an examiner named Kramer was extremely disappointing. I’ve been driving in Ohio for three years, and I went for my road test at this school. Kramer was unprofessional, impatient, and disrespectful. It was an afternoon, and he was the only examiner present in the office, which didn’t seem to be doing well business-wise. As an ESL immigrant, I have an accent, and each time I spoke, Kramer treated me with mocking and sarcastic expressions. During the test, he was very impatient. He would hastily snatch the steering wheel from me during the drive after giving a left-turn instruction, without even waiting for my clarification on whether to turn immediately or at the next junction. He seemed eager to end my test abruptly, despite me paying $100 for it. He rushed to verbally pressurize and belittle me, making me feel nervous, and then was quick to stop and tell me how terrible I was at driving. He insisted that I needed at least 40 hours of practice at their school, which would cost at least $3600 based on their official rate of $60 per hour. It appeared as though he was trying to make me feel that this was the normal expense for obtaining a license in the U.S. Kramer hurriedly rushed me out of the car at the end of the test. As I walked back, dejected and disheartened, to my companion, I noticed him looking at us with a mocking, scornful expression, making me feel extremely uncomfortable, disrespected, and somewhat nauseated. I won’t say he’s definitely a racist, but his behavior was incredibly demeaning and unprofessional. Regardless of whether my driving skills weren’t good enough to pass or if Kramer’s rules were too strict, his attitude and lack of professionalism were utterly unacceptable. Avoid Kramer at all costs!

Fantastic experience: I took both my written and driving exam without driving school. I loved it so much I didn’t pass my first written however they printed out the questions and sections I needed to study more and it helped so much! Plus I passed my drivers exam first time with Tina she was so so sweet and patient with me. Definitely would recommend this place!

I would 100% recommend giving your driving test here. Plus, they are really cheap as compared to other private centers.

They add a good sense of humor to their teaching and are always there for questions. To me the online course I choose was perfect and I feel like they prepared me very well for driving safely on the streets. Definitely recommend!

Positive experience: i went here for teens drivers ed and it was great and helpful but the only thing that was SO unhelpful was that they don’t teach you how to park!! yes they teach you how to parallel park, but not regularly park. it may seem self-explanatory but it’s really not. they also don’t teach you how to back into a parking spot. parking is an essential thing when it comes to driving and needs to be taught. lots of my friends who went here including me STRUGGLE with parking and we’ve all had our license for awhile now. why can i perfectly parallel park but not regularly park in a parking space?? they should not assume that parking is self explanatory.

Negative experience: Go to May Valley Driving School!!! The owner is really nice and has better policies than 405, cost is the same... Took my daughter ELEVEN months to get her license, and was totally THEIR FAULT! The policies of this business should put them OUT of business. They overbook so that it was IMPOSSIBLE to book the drives my daughter needed to get her license. The classroom portion was easy to manage, but the drives! UGH! And they were so flippant when I'd call for help! Every time we would get online to book the drives, there were none left, or they hadn't been posted yet. One week they didn't post them until like 8pm! When I called to question the timing, so we could book online, (the ONLY way you can book) one rep said they posted the drive openings to their site at 11am on Tuesday, but every time I'd call, I was told something else, even different days and times. One woman told me to just start checking the site at 11, and then check every hour to see if it had been updated... UH, excuse me?! I HAVE a full time job (and am raising a teen) I don't need another one! THE NERVE! I also happen to be a single parent, and the coordination to get her to these drives was already challenging... When I reported the trouble we were having, they were rude, and suggested we try one of their other locations. Yeah, Lynnwood and Vancouver are super convenient, thanks!? One thing I will say though, the instructors were really nice, but the management should be ashamed of themselves! I get that staffing is tough, but that's not my problem (especially when I've paid a small fortune for this service, and we can't complete it in a reasonable time frame)!

Negative experience: First of all, I hate that I even had to come to a place like this and waste my money just to get my WA license, but that’s a different complaint for somebody else. Everything was all good before what happened today. I took the written exam a few days ago no issue, took the driven exam yesterday with no issues either. My instructor Christofer said I could get my license as soon as today since they’ll be updating my driving record online, with that said I made the appointment to get my license today. I drove all the way to the Kent DoL since the Renton DoL has been permanently closed for some reason, only to be told that my driving record hasn’t even been updated. So I tried calling the school 14 times and waited the whole two minutes of automated service every time only to be told by the machine that apparently all of the staff are already with other customers. I emailed them as well, since that’s what they say is the quickest way to reach them, and all I get is an automated response saying that they’ll reach out within 24 hours; but I was already at the DoL and needed it updated immediately. Basically I wasted gas and my afternoon after work only to have to go do it all over again. I just don’t understand why they couldn’t have taken 5 minutes to fill out a simple online form when there were 3-4 workers in there and I was the only customer at the time, what’s wrong with you guys? I almost feel like making a bunch of fake accounts and posting the same negative review on their page like they did commending the instructor Kramer to up their reviews, but I’ve already wasted enough time because of this place.

Fantastic experience: These guys are great. I had to do my driving and written test there soon as I passed written I was able to do a written test and the one who did my test was very cool the prices are not bad either. They give you the option to test in either their car or your own as well.

Fantastic experience: This place actually the best place to go if you lookin for the function. Super chill inside the crib and the bouncers are the nicest people ever. Had a great time during the online zoom lessons with the GOAT Ashton and driving lessons.

Negative experience: This center is so busy it is very difficult to get times for driving lessons. We tried for months to sign up which led to an almost 3 month delay in my daughter obtaining her drivers license and her missing school in order to do so.

Negative experience: This place sucks. They constantly have no drives to give. My child waited 2 whole months for one and by that time, his permit expired. It was his last drive before he could take his test. Now we have to renew his permit which will cost us money just for his last drive + his test. They say they’re sorry but I know damn well they’re not. It’s just another excuse for them to do nothing but sit around and eat. They don’t care about customers satisfaction, all they care about it their next paycheck.

Fantastic experience: I had driving lessons and did my written exam and driving exam with 405 in Lynnwood. I am an experienced driver of over 50 years but had to get a WA license as I had been out of the US for 10 years. I mention all this because I am not the typical student driver who is about 15 years old. Ofelia, the instructor was amazing! She was patient, encouraging, reassuirng, and took time to carefully explain all the key points with helpful tips on how to carry out the required maneuvers. I really can't praise her higly enough. And I passed my driving exam first try !
