Fantastic experience: I had Mr. Abid as my driving instructor and was very impressed by his patience and kindness. The scheduling was also very flexible, which was much appreciated considering my busy schedule. I highly recommend the course with him, and have heard great things about the other instructors as well.

Positive experience: I did the adult waiver program. Pros: I passed my exam with Mr.Abid. He is so kind and really cares about his business. He gives great advice! I would highly recommend him. Cons: The written exam you must take was hard for me. I passed on the first try but that was after the 30 hour course and studying for months. This is no fault of the driving school but of the adult waiver program in general. Just keep in mind if you do the adult waiver program you will have to study a lot to pass! My original instructor was nice but hard to understand at times. I felt I needed a lot of time outside of the classroom to improve my skill. I personally would not have been able to get this all done in a week. If you are a better driver you probably could though. Overall, very glad I went with AA plus driving school. I’m so happy to have my license. Thank you Mr.Abid for a wonderful experience!

Each day of our driving sessions was carefully thought out with set objectives for the lesson. Whenever I made a mistake he carefully explained how to fix them which improved my confidence as a driver. Once again, would definitely recommend AA Plus and Mr. Abid!

Negative experience: I am writing this review a year after I received the services of driving classes for my son, and I only waited this long because I was afraid of the retaliation of such a vulgar, rude, racist, and extremely bigoted individual. The individual who I am speaking about is the owner, a man with a very heavy Indian accent. Everything seemed alright at first until I was greeted by the owner in a slight passive aggressive manner. Through the entire length of my family and I remaining within the building, we could sense this odd tension in the air as if we were being watched, or in this case, stared down upon. I did not think much of it at first until later on when my family and I had exited the door, but not the building completely. Upon that moment, the owner thought we had left the building and began to yell very racist remarks and certain words that are far from “business-friendly,” so-to-speak. Keep in mind that the owner thought we had left the building; however, we simply were outside the business suite’s door, so he thought we could not hear him. One of the more shocking things I heard from the owner was word-for-word verbatim “This is not a [F-Word] Islamic Center.” This threw my entire family off, myself included, but rightfully so. It saddens me that I had high hopes for such a place with such wonderful reviews, only to leave with impressions of a passive-aggressive tone and racist remarks. Pick another school, it is not worth your time and/or money.

Positive experience: If you just need someone qualified to sit in the car while you drive so you can have the instructed driving hours on your record, this works fine. If you are looking for dedicated instruction, look elsewhere. I should be clear that when I had taken this class I already had decent experience behind the wheel, I just needed to gain confidence. My instructor was Kalim. I feel like he is extremely knowledgable, he just does not care to put all of his attention on you. I definitely learned some valuable skills, he was able to identify specific issues in how I drove that my parents were not able to identify. He immediately seemed to correctly read where my confidence issues were, and gave lots of great advice on becoming more confident. However, his focus was just not on me very much. I’m not a new driver, but I am very nervous and would have preferred for an instructor to put all of their attention on me. I think the fewest phone calls he ever made during a session was two. He would make up to four or five phone calls in one driving session; not just calling clients, I mean chatting with his family or friends for many minutes casually. Some subscription service called him about a vip subscription and instead of saying he was busy he just worked out the issue with his vip access or whatever. This meant I had to focus on whatever conversation he was having because he would mutter directions at me in the middle of talking that were very easy to miss. Sort of like “Yeah I’m working tomorrow so I can’t turn right here can’t be there”. Somehow it was even harder to catch what he was saying when he was on the phone speaking a different language. He did this while I entered an interstate highway for the second time ever. He wasn’t apologetic or anything, just made the phone calls and said nothing about it. One session when he showed up he was on the phone and didn’t put it on hold or anything to say hi, I quietly got in the car and he just occasionally told me ways to turn while he chatted on the phone for the first 15 minutes. This part is tricky to properly articulate; I have no issue with the fact english isn’t his first language, to be abundantly clear. He isn’t necessarily bad at english at all, but I would struggle because his tone is difficult to read, and sometimes the way he explained things was confusing even when I asked for clarification. Gauging urgency was very difficult, I had a hard time understanding if he wanted me to act immediately or was telling me to prepare to do something soon. I also sometimes struggled to determine if he was describing a hypothetical situation, or giving me instructions. I feel like being a new driver I need communication to be EXTREMELY clear. Myself having autism may have contributed to my difficulty understanding. I would not recommend this instructor if you/your child is someone who needs positive praise while learning. I quickly learned that his sound of approval was silence, which is perfectly fine for me, but for someone more sensitive it could damage confidence since it may come off like he is only being critical of your driving. I have a lot of criticism, but I do still think I learned a number of new valuable things. If he was more focused and only made necessary, brief calls, I feel like Kalim would be a phenomenal driving instructor!

Negative experience: "Mr.Muhammad aka Adil is a great coach, considerate, will work with you and despite me not having enough money only needing a car for the road test he offered me a discount adult waiver form because of the amount of time with my permit" you know what? I ended up lying just so the day I scheduled 5 days ahead of time for Adil to show up late and miscommunicate the whole time about whether he was "busy" or not he ended up coming late and then after the dmv eisenhower instructor said that filp flops were okay I ended having to call the front desk and the front desk was no help "just go to another driving school" but I scheduled in advance. I'm going there after this review to ask who the front desk was because they blocked my number and wouldn't schedule a different time for me, thank you. UPDATE*** I went there immediatley after at 2:30 talked to the acupuncture lady let some older people in the office building whoever was at the front desk ended locking the door and hiding once I waited 20mins and looked through the window THATS why they have Better Buisness Bureau (BBB) everywhere for the customers to report better business and Noone else youve seen does so keep that in mind reading this review there are some real reviews here check those out I scheduled an appointment with NEST driving school for your driver education and he helped me warm up I passed the first time

Fantastic experience: Abid was an excellent instructor, very patient, methodical, and safe. The entire process was extremely smooth with flexible timing a, and I'm glad to have chosen this driving school.

Negative experience: my experience with this driving school was as follows: unprofessional and unorganized. The instructor texted me asking for available times for the first lesson, mind you they didn't have any forms for me to sign for registration, no policies were made clear, etc. I sent her a list of my available times, and the times she sent me were all out of my available ranges. This school caters to student not teacher availability. but sure whatever no big deal. After agreeing with the teacher on the time of the first lesson, in the same way you would plan a hangout with a friend, very low key and again unprofessional, something urgent came up in my schedule and I wasn't able to make it. I reached out somewhat last minute to postpone the session and she called and told me i had to pay for that session??? Overall the experience did not sit well with me and did not continue and never had a first session with them, I switched to NOVA driving school. Unprofessional, unorganized, very low quality communication. I'm happy for all the positive reviews and such, disappointed that I could not say the same. Thank you.

Positive experience: Yesterday I went to take my classes that the DMV sent me, everything was fine, the teachers were very kind, explained very well and made you feel very comfortable, but the person at the reception had terrible service and was very rude, what bothered me the most was that he started to spray air because he said it smelled bad and we were all very bad, the manager should do something about it, thank you very much

Negative experience: I called them trying to get information about re-examination course and driving skills class, but person who picked the phone didn’t show interest at all to give information, if a costumers calls asking for a information is because we are interested in a service that we are not familiarized with. From that first call experience I asume is common way from them to treat theirs customers. Better to call different school.

Fantastic experience: I did my driving training with AA Plus Driving School. I had an excellent experience. First, I called the school inquiring about the driving course. The office clerk, Jose explained to me in details the pre-requisites to take the course. Fortunately, I met all the prerequisites and signed up for the training. Two days later the driving coach, Mr. Abid called me regarding the driving training and we agreed on a flexible schedule. During the training, Abid had me drive into different areas, roads, streets routes and highways. He also gave me a parking class. Abid was always kind and encouraging. I was able to get my driver's license through this excellent driving training. I recommend AA Plus Driving School 100%.

Fantastic experience: Through AA Plus Driving School, I met a wonderful driving instructor, Abid. He was very patient and kind as I was learning and I improved so much due to his great teaching. Negative experience: Worst horrible people. Seems all are related to each other and hide their misdeeds. The woman trainer always came late. 1 hour is always 45 minutes. Combined 2 classes and finished in under 90 minutes. When complained, the guy misbehaved, threatened and refused help. When registring complaint with authority in Richmond, the owner - another relative - begged Not to. Won't ever go back there again.

Fantastic experience: There are honest and kind people left in the world and they work at AA Plus Driving School. Though I did not have experience with driving lessons, I can attest to the character of their staff. I dropped my wallet with all of my credit cards, cash & license in the parking lot. The staff at AA Driving School went through the effort to contact me via text and let that let me know that they found it and held it for me for when I picked it up. It is just nice to know that there are people that will go through so much trouble and be so honest and expect nothing else in return. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: I absolutely loved the flexibility of everything about aa-plus. The drivers course was self paced and was sectioned excellently. Along with that, the on-the-road portion was straight forward and my instructor, Mr. Abid, helped guide me through confusing situations and guaranteed my safety.

Negative experience: Haven’t used for driving school but based on the aggressive and dangerous driving of one of their instructors in a car with their name and number on top, I could never recommend them. In the span oh a half mile the gentleman driving (assuming instructor, no passenger) aggressively tailgated three cars, ran a red light, sped, and used an exit ramp lane to go around a cut in front of other traffic.

Negative experience: The lessons were great and they did a great job explaining parking but the guy I was driving with never stuck to the original time he told me, and came across as very rude at times. Would not reccomend to anyone due to the poor communication and scheduling. Additionally, I often noticed the instructor on his phone and taking personal, non work related phone calls. He seemed very inattentive at times.

Fantastic experience: I am so grateful I picked this school to get back into driving shape after decades of avoiding it. I didn’t need a license since I got one as a teenager, I just needed to be comfortable ish behind the wheel. Driving is a requirement for my new job. The instructor responded promptly and immediately seemed easy going and helpful. By the end of the first day my driving confidence shot up after for weeks of trying sporadically with friends. This instructor is very calm and soothing, with no judgement, just knowledge and skilled teaching techniques. I went from timid teenage driving and years of not driving at all, to commuting to and from my workplace using highways (30 min one way) and other slower options if I’d prefer to avoid them. I honestly think that I am almost near the same level as many of the drivers on the road, which is not saying much where I live, but still quite an accomplishment after just 5 sessions. The other schools I tried in my area seemed very unprofessional and didn’t seem to communicate or control their own drivers. One of their drivers texted me without even giving his name or which driving company he was affiliated with. Others were booked solid and didn’t tell me for days. One last thing - this school is in no way affiliated with Alcoholics Anonymous (AA). It’s just a great driving school.

I searched through a bunch of online sources to try and find a good driving school that would allow me to do a few practice lessons, but everywhere wanted a 5 day minimum or a full week commitment, and the prices were out of my budget. Thankfully I stumbled upon AA plus driving school and all my needs were met! My driving instructor, Mr.Abid, was very patient and friendly and made the experience enjoyable. I regained my confidence through our lessons and feel ready to test for my license.

Fantastic experience: I had so much fun, definitely way better than I had expected. We talked laughed and communicated the whole time. There were breaks and free snacks which was very much appreciated. Fantastic experience: In the beginning it was slow and boring, but that was due to the energy of the class, I loved the energy of the teacher when he came in he was here and aware and energetic to help us. Negative experience: This school and the instructor is very unprofessional. Kaleem Janjua was my instructor who claimed to have many many years of experience, however he doesn't know the basic quality of being patient with students. When I questioned him about my doubts, he slapped a line on my face 'use your common sense'. I asked him to train me to park, he said he will do it towards the end of the course, which he never did. They charged me $900.00 to get my drivers license under DTS D and that too Kaleem took hostage my paperwork to extort more money. He never asked me for money but I could sense it as he gave all the excuses saying that his boss (owner) is not in the office to get the signature, whereas he is always in the office. When I went into the office the owner said the papers were with Kaleem, it was only when I pressured him that he suddenly found the papers. I will make sure to notify the concerned authorities.

Negative experience: One star because I eventually got my drivers license; otherwise I would have given them minus stars for all the time and money we spent vis-a-vis the actual instruction we got. The instructor was either bad mouthing other students or on his phone, or otherwise belittling me for being a slow learner. He never properly taught me how to park a car, which I had to learn through YouTube and practice under friends’ guidance. Unless you want to spend money to have your soul crushed by an incredibly rude instructor, i can’t recommend less.

Negative experience: My 2021 experience: This driving school is awful. It is good until they found that you are in rush to get your license, after that everything is changing. My permit was expiring on May 11, and on Apr 30 I told my instructor. He told me okay, you can register in “adults waiver program”. Because it was for experienced driver I hadn’t considered it when I paid for 10 hrs behind the wheel. So once he told me I thought okay, maybe it is a choice. I asked him, I swear to god, 2 times that should I pay whole $599, because I already paid $386. If I can pay rest of that and these 10 hrs be included in my waiver program, why not. and he told me yes, just you should come on May 1 to the class and after that you will get your certificate. In Saturday morning also I drove to school, from 8:15 to 8:40 and it was included in my 10 hrs, just 25 min instead of 50 min. anyways, Saturday (May 1st) they told me no, you should pay $599, I asked before going to class, they said okay wait, we will figure it out after the class. I sit in the class from 9-2, after that a guy told me no we can't, I said okay you could tell me in the morning, I would go with no time wasting, he told me you wasted your time, we wasted our money!!! it was like, what?? money?? I have to mention that since I was not sure about if it would be okay, I did not even use their snacks whole time I was there. I don't know what money he was mentioning!!! So anyways, one star is just for the instructor, driving school is awful. My instructor was so good, I learned a lot. Mr. Abid, although you were not clear with me, you are perfect teacher in terms of driving.

Negative experience: We Purchased a package for our son to get him started on his drivers license. Few days went by and no one reached out to us! Called the school but was told that there is a wait to get an instructor! As soon as I asked for a refund, an instructor reached out to us to schedule the classes! Instructor didn’t meet minimum expectations

Fantastic experience: Excellent program. This is the second driving program we booked and we regret not finding this one first. The price looks expensive, but the quality is twice as good as the other place we tried. You get so much more out of this course including an online theory class to help you visualize what you will need to do before you even get behind a steering wheel.

Fantastic experience: My instructor was very patient with everyone. If you are a bad driver, then the instructors will make you a good one. Also, the instructors are very communicative, if you got a question they will answer it.

Positive experience: I would have given them a 5 star review if it wasn’t for who I believe is the owner of the place, he yelled at me and his employe all the way from his office, he was rude and interrupted me, talking louder than me when I asked a question. I felt so bad for Jose ( the guy at the front desk) he was so nice and helpful the whole time and he was so embarrassed and apologetic about the situation. Glenn (the driver instructor) was great and flexible with my schedule, he made sure I was confident by the end of it all. Overall Im really grateful they helped me achieve my goal.

Fantastic experience: A great place to send your kids to complete the teen driving course. Our daughter had professor Naseem and he was a great teacher, extremely patient and took the time to really teach her everything she needed to know. I am very grateful they were the ones to teach her these skills that she'll have forever. Definitely recommend 100%. Thanks again for your professionalism AA and Mr. Naseem!

Fantastic experience: The great school ever I had my instructor, Mr. Kaleem. He guides you to the best you can be. when you made a mistake, he'll correct you right there rather than locally failing you which I see in some schools. The system is Awesome, the price is convenient and less than you can get from them(great experiences). Highly recommended this school!!!

Fantastic experience: Believe me guys, I always hear from my friends and other students that a instructor from driving school never teach anything. In contrast, when I read reviews about Instructor RUBINA from AA plus driving school, I thought to give a try on this school. And every positive review I read about this school and Instructor RUBINA was accurate based on my experience. I would say that I was lucky who got a instructor like you (MRS RUBINA). She is awsome, fabulous, marvelous!!! I don't have enough words to say how nice she was. The way she teach and explain every little mistake. I did a lot of mistakes during my driving but she explained me very well and never screamed on any of my mistake also made me relax during driving. Additionally, I took adult waiver class in this driving school at where I had Instructor ABID who was awsome as Mrs RUBINA. But after starting my driving classes I found at that Mrs Robina is his wife. To include, I would say I had marvelous experience with Mrs Rubina and everyday I drove with her was stunning. I would recommend this instructor and driving school to every one. THANK YOU AA PLUS!!!

Negative experience: Having to reach out to them in order for someone to contact me. Stuff was not don’t thorough. I paid $580 for this.. playing with my time and money and every time I call they don’t know something. It’s annoying and very unprofessional. I’m trying to get things taken care of and they make it impossible not knowing what they have going on at their business. I shouldn’t have to chase down my instructor or beg for my paper liscense that should have been issued after my road test.

Fantastic experience: I did the Behind the Wheel course with AA Plus Driving School. My instructor was Ahmad and he was very helpful through the entire process. I am very happy that I chose AA Plus and am so glad that I have my license now!

Fantastic experience: I had a instructor name Mr. Ahmed Wali. He was an amazing person very professional, well spoken and funny. I learned a lot from him. He helped me so much, since I was a beginner. First day I was very nervous and he understood that. But from second day and afterwards he saw that how fast I was learning. I highly recommend everyone to take him. I was a fast learner. He would give Honest feedback to me everyday after driving. So that kind of boast my confident and the next thing I know I didn’t make the same mistake again. I’m so thankful to have a instructor like him.

Fantastic experience: When I first started out driving with Mrs Rubina, I was nervous. That quickly went away because she explains things well and gives you confidence. She also helped me become consistent with every aspect of driving. Overall top driving instructor and would highly recommend Mrs Rubina to teach you. Fantastic experience: I can't say enough great things! When the schools closed, Fairfax County canceled my daughter's "behind the wheel" portion of Driver's Ed. When things started to open up again, I reached out to a few local driving schools to see what options they had available. I decided on AA Plus and I am so glad I did. Abid was extremely professional and knowledgeable and my daughter felt completely comfortable and confident when driving with him. In regards to COVID-19 safety, a mask was required and he thoroughly sanitized the vehicle before she got in it. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I had Mr. Kalim as a driving instructor and paid for five 1-hour classes. I had my permit and didn't drive since I initially got it 6 years ago. I had about 10 hours of practice driving around neighborhoods and parking lots before I signed up for professional classes. Mr. Kalim was very professional and even-toned. He will explain why you did things wrong and how it can effect others. He is a very polite and well-mannered instructor and in the end I passed the driver's road test on my first try!

Fantastic experience: Great experience here. Friendly instructors and great lessons. Helped me get my license when I turned 18 and gave me actual good advice. A A plus driving school is the number one choice to get your license, do not go through the DMV! Theyll even pick you up for lessons!

Negative experience: I called this place to get a driver's license for my mother. I spoke with one of the instructors and told him that she has a learner's permit and she has been driving around the public school parking lots. When my mother went there to talk about it starting the classes, the guy instructor told her that I said to him that she can drive on the roads as well. I never said that to him, and he increased his fare as well. my mother left and was upset from his unprofessionalism!

Fantastic experience: Had learners permit for 8 years! And with the help of AA plus driving school and Staff. I was able to build a lot of confidence driving. Mr. Kalim is very professional, friendly, patient,and calm he gives assistance only when needed. Managed to correct my mistakes in detail. Fantastic experience: Great driver’s education program and Ahmad as instructor was superb! For someone with zero driving experience, he could not be more patient and clear with commands. He was never discouraging and yet firm with instructions. He also places a lot of confidence in you as a driver, which makes a huge difference while learning. Moreover, just as an extra bonus, he was extremely gracious with his time and scheduling flexibility. Highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: I had a wonderful experience at AA Plus Driving School. My instructor, Ijaz Naseem, was very helpful and patient with me and the other students that I observed during the observation periods. The scheduling was very good, so I finished my lessons in a timely manner (needed to get my drivers license before going off to college). Although I made some mistakes, he didn’t scream or scold at me. Instead, he sternly told me what my mistakes could cause without making me panic. Overall, I would recommend this location to everyone.

Fantastic experience: Amazing Class for teen age driver to take, They will teach you A to Z of Virginia driving Law and rules. I would highly recommend them. And the teacher was so nice and funny.

Fantastic experience: Good place, my instructor was nice and calm. He explains everything you need to know, and clarify any questions you might have. I highly recommend this place for people who wants to take behind the wheel.
