Negative experience: My son attended 1/2 day and decided that the school was not for him. They graciously provided an application for refund. I reached out (my credit card) to ask about the refund was told it would happen minus any deductions for any service..... 30 days I reached out again ....REFUND denied!!!! Attorney will be getting involved. Beware of losing $5000 for a DOT physical and 6 hours in a class room.

Negative experience: I would recommend you look at another school. They have the worse equipment I had to take the test 4 times couldn't pass it had to go to superior truck Academy and pass it at the DMV easily I promise you do not go to America truck training worse school ever.

Negative experience: Currently attend school here and i suggest you do yourself a favor AND FIND ANOTHER SCHOOL. One theres not enough trainers and trucks you spend most of the day waiting for your turn then when it is your turn you practice your maneuver for all of 10 minutes your teacher will work with you to get it but depending on the teacher will also start talking like your stupid if you don't pick it up fast enough for them. Two trucks constantly break down and when that happens if its a maneuver truck classes join on another station and now your waiting even longer to practice. When i pass the garage it seem to be some trucks that they are working on but in all my time being there they dont move and they are there just to look pretty with the att logo on them. Now its a rumor around the yard the owner is opening up another school which is why this school dont get much attention but at the same time there are days when the teachers are ready to close the school down for the day because they're paychecks are not clearing yet so how true is that i dont know. Overall this is not a school to go to if your really trying to learn and gain skills. If i knew half of what i know now i definitely would have saved my money and went to a different one especially when roadmasters is around the corner they seem like the fancy private school and we are the failing public school that barely keeps the lights on OH and they are gonna use the fact they have a high graduation rate to lure you in and it should take 4-5 weeks to complete do not believe that at all and do not just trust the 5 star reviews most of them is talking about luis explaining the application process and i think are bots very few reviews talk about the actual school journey

Negative experience: Joke of a CDL school. Truck’s are all out dated and barely run. They will lie to you saying student to teacher ratio is 1:5 in reality it will be 1:20. Don’t go here and waste your money. I had to pay for a separate school to help me get certified since they didn’t have instructors ready to test you out and had me on a 2 week waiting period. Go to Superior Truck Driving Academy which is cheaper and you will get the proper instructors that will have time to teach you. One and done and all the instructors knew I was ready to test. Don’t listen to their (ATT) lies about it “being harder at a DMV”. They need you to get their ratings up and passing rate up but it’s all a lie.

Positive experience: The instructors are great and are the heart and soul of this school . Shawn, Kolton, James, Bennett, Robert, Pj, John and Davi are some of the best instructors you could ask for and they truly care about your success AS LONG AS YOU APPLY YOURSELF. I give a 3 star simply off the way the drives and upper management operates. The drives are not long enough, the yard in which you learn on is full of holes which management refuses to fill, the equipment is terrible and at times it seems as if management’s priorities are elsewhere . This is why I say the instructors are great because despite the terrible equipment and ground, i guarantee you learn how to do those maneuvers with ease. The people make the school better, but it seems as if management holds it back by going the cheaper route on some things… taco truck is great tho.

Negative experience: It's a scam, they make you fail so you have pay to test, and teach you in ways that are not part of the real world of trucking, total joke with bad equipment, I've been driving 20ys over 2million miles accident free, I don't use one of thier methods in the world.

Fantastic experience: The weather occasionally sucked but the trainers were right there in it with us! They do focus on you learning things a certain way at first which can be a bit frustrating but they don’t give up on you! Once you get the process down they give you room to learn the way that is best for you! I can’t express enough how glad I am they worked with me and my work schedule and helped me to get my CDL!!! I couldn’t have done it without them!

Fantastic experience: 5 stars because of how awesome the instructors were as well as the fact that they offer weekend classes which I took. Trucks are in very rough shape which is almost a good thing because if you can drive these trucks that are one pothole away from needing a new transmission then you will be able to drive any truck out there. All in all it was a very good experience here, anyone looking to get a cdl without an auto restriction I would recommend this place.

Fantastic experience: This place did an awesome job of teaching me what I needed to know so I could graduate quickly. The instructors are friendly and know what they're doing. However, the equipment needed lots of work. It was hard to get enough practice drives before the test due to a lack of running trucks. I know their equipment gets abused all day every day from students, but there were plenty of backups that needed work as well. There was also a miscommunication of settling payments with my recruiter, but Abbey made sure it was taken care of for me. She saved me thousands of dollars that I didn't know I was going to end up paying. If the yard isn't too packed, you'll get plenty of practice on your maneuvers. 2 days before your test, you'll get guaranteed drives, and you'll practice each maneuver throughout the day. If there are too many students, you might be there longer than you want to be. I felt comfortable enough to test after just a few rotations in the yard, but I had plenty of reps while I was out there. I was also in a group that paid attention and wanted to get out of there and get to work. If you work the steps and listen to the instructors, they'll have you cdl ready in no time. I want to thank Abbey for her work in the office, and all of the instructors that I worked with. That's Bennett, Kolton, James, Sean, John, Robert, PJ, Don, and especially Davey for teaching me to drive. I watched him handle the most novice drivers (including myself) and make them road-ready. Thank you all for your patience and knowledge

Negative experience: Where do I begin, first let me start by saying, Bennet, Shawn, James, kolten, and Davy, and Robert on his good days, along with Big John and PJ these guys literally make this place keep the doors open, instructors are absolutely incredible. Now In saying that, I witnessed to many times sensitive information was asked for multiple times, things that shouldn’t be lost, secondly idk how the financing works, but when you’re in a group of 6 that have financed and each are paying a different amount, something just feels off so, keep that in mind. Third, don’t even get me started about the lack of money being spent towards the betterment of the school and staff, “the economy is tuff”, “we don’t have the flow of students we normally do”, is some of the many excuses you will hear, they knowingly put students, and the instructor in trucks that aren’t safe even when it’s said it’s not safe multiple times. Don’t expect to learn anything fast if you have never driven before l, because once again, the lack of money for betterment of equipment is a SERIOUS problem, unfortunately I understand to an extent, new drivers are ruff on the equipment, but whenever a truck hasn’t had a PM service in literal YEARS. That’s a problem, better hope if you’re scheduled for a drive that you got lucky and went before it gets low on fuel cause there is a good chance they can’t afford more than 150 dollars in diesel. Which might get you back to the school. They have 6 or 7 trucks just sitting not getting any work done, and probably won’t get any work done until they close the doors and Someone buys them. They have a mechanic that is just a paper weight for taxes literally. I think I saw him get in his toolbox or do something other than walk around maybe twice in 6 weeks. Rain or shine they say, well they only really work when it’s sunny, if it’s raining you will pile in the shop and stare at a truck for 8 hours and read out of your book, instead of being out in it learning how to safely operate and do backing maneuvers in adverse weather. But I also understand why they don’t, wait for it……….. YOU GUESSED IT, they can’t afford to have the massive holes all over the yard filled in, so instead they just don’t let you work on anything other than staring at a truck, but hey you Atleast can look forward to the burrito truck every morning at 9 am, that’s a plus. Let’s move on to the office staff, the nurse and doctor that do the physicals are straight to the point women. I respected that. Others and I won’t say any names because I have more respect than that, wear their emotions on their sleeve and let the workplace romance drama get in the way and all wrapped up in what’s going on, just hope you catch it on a good day. Make sure you hound and hound to get scheduled for drives, if not, you’re lucky if you get 3-4 drives in 6 weeks, it’s really hard to do anymore when they can’t afford to get the nice repaired drive truck out of the shop so they run with 1 truck. You would think one of the last schools in the state that teaches manual transmission and that’s their claim to fame would take better care of it’s equipment. But It’s just an all around shady, messy, unorganized barely able to call it a school. But it’s all good 50 cent is partners with the owner and is building a school in Houston, seems to be that’s more important than taking care of okc. All in all I was extremely disappointed in the way staff, specifically instructors are not heard by management, the owner has never done a mile behind the wheel of a commercial vehicle, so take that as you will, but you would think with over 100 years experience between the instructors that they might know what they are talking about, just my opinion. But I did what I had to do to get through it, and passed one and done, again, the instructors I mentioned above are TOP NOTCH, not treated as such but they are, LISTEN to them and ask questions if you attend and you too can pass, hurry, because they will all eventually get tired of it, and find somewhere they are valued for their time and experience.

Negative experience: I attended this school from October of 2022 - April of 2023, I finished and got my CDL here. Since I haven’t attended this school in awhile a lot could have changed since I’ve been there, but there was one thing I didn’t like about the program when I was there. That one thing was not getting an adequate amounts of practice as far as backing maneuvers(offset backing, alley dock, parallel parking) due to stations being overcrowded! It was 20+ students per station, each station had one instructor and one truck where you would learn one of the backing maneuvers that you needed to learn in preparation for your CDL exam. The stations would be so crowded on some days that you would only get 2 attempts at getting in the truck to learn even though your class time is 8 hours each day you attend school. Also I believe they should’ve had a progression based system when it came to the backing maneuver stations, like if it’s your first day on the yard after passing your CDL Permit test you need to start off with straight backing and do that for a week then the next week you’ll go to another station and do offset backing then the next week after that you’ll go to another station doing parallel parking e.t.c they(the school) didn’t have this system(at least not fully enforced) they somewhat had it like your first week you would be on station 1 doing straight backing but the week after that you could be anywhere on the yard at any station. They had students whom it was their first day on the yard and they were learning alley dock which is the most difficult backing maneuver by the way when the students shouldn’t haven’t been learning that their first week without having even learned straight backing. This problem was the reason I failed my exam 2 out of the 5 times I failed it, not having adequate backing maneuver practice. The school I didn’t even believe had a capacity of how many students can attend the school at a time, there would be an influx of new students at the school each week, this is a reason I believe it was over crowded. Other than that one problem the school was pretty great, they had nice staff the likes of John and PJ who were both driving instructors when I attended there, at the end of it all I finished and got my CDL here..

Positive experience: I obtained my Class A CLD at ATT. Although I initially had doubts about the process I do not regret selecting this program. It seems unreasonable to assume you will have your CDL in five weeks. However, I saw a number of students pass their exams in as little as six weeks. If you're in a hurry, arrive on day one with a permit and a medical card and skip the classroom time. Additionally, it is essential to show up when the weather sucks. Many people will not be there when it sucks, and you will get their time. I acquired a great deal of extra time to practice the most difficult maneuvers when it sucked to be there, and it paid off when I ended up with Alley Dock on my test. It's easy to complain about the crowded stations and the number of times a truck broke down. It is what it is; unskilled drivers are very hard on trucks. Many people need more time to train. I doubt any other school is as accommodating to the needs of their students after they've already paid. Try to trust, Abby. I highly recommend ATT if you need to work part-time while you're training, but I can not stress how much faster you will complete the process if/when you drop everything else and show up every day and stay until released.

Fantastic experience: My honest review of American truck training. The trainers are very knowledgeable and patient with the students . The office staff are very helpful and go out of their way to make sure your concerns are addressed.. when I started here they had quite a few trucks in the shop (which they worked hard to get back up and running as quickly as possible) which made things a little bit frustrating some days , but you just have to focus and push through it . This is truly a school that you will get out what you put in !! . Negative experience: I got my CDL from this place and I definitely have to say it was one crazy experience instructors were great and so was most of the people they employed but what I went thru to obtain and the price tag that I’m left with makes me think was it all really worth it. I went thru the 4 week program that ultimately took me 5 failed test and 2 months to complete. The program was a 2500 down payment and I was told that the rest I would not be responsible for until 30 days after I got my cdl giving you time to find a job. What they don’t tell you is after the 4 weeks are up your payments would start no matter if you have completed the program or not. What you also find out is finishing in 4 weeks is almost impossible because of the way the training was set up. I had no less then 15 students sometimes 20 at each station given you 1 maneuver maybe 2 if your lucky each day your there then they give you a 30 minute drive that could be cut to 20 or 10 minutes depending on what students you were riding with. So if someone you were riding with wasn’t getting it there 30 minutes would turn into 40 minutes and if you were last up 10 minutes was left for you. Your test date would be scheduled no matter if your ready or not and my first test I had 8 drives all bobtail no trailer so of course i failed having never driven with a trailer also my payments were due on my second fail. To sum it all up I owe 10,000 and because I missed a payment I didn’t get a certificate picture shirt or anything not even a help with a job because of the missed payment. Funny because I came in next day after passing dress to take a picture and get my certificate like my classmates and was turned away because of the payments I missed. I since found a really good job and will pay all the money back but the way I was treated after all that was down right wrong.

Fantastic experience: I took the weekends classes because I have a full time job so it was great fit for me all the instructors were very helpful they are all dedicated to their job they go the extra mile for you! Abby was always answering my questions when I had them I want to thank few instructors- Don, John, Erik, Shawn , Charles , Jacob and mainly pj even helped me on my last day of class on his break so I could be ready for test day!!! I recommend the school to everyone

Abby was a star and always assisted whenever there were any problems! Shawn is the only reason I passed my Alley dock maneuver! And Charles kept me coming back day after day

Fantastic experience: I’m graduated June 10, 2023. This is the best school in Oklahoma City. Ms. Abbey made sure that I had time behind the wheel of that semi. Hard work definitely pays off! She also got me placed with the company I wanted! If you want your Cdl this is the one you go to in OKC!

Fantastic experience: Reviews! I don't like to give them, but my girl Abby is one of a kind. I love her so. I would adopt her and Jesse as my Children. So are all the special people that work American Truck Training. Not one of them ever let me down. I love them all. Ray is the best tester on the planet too. Fantastic experience: My experience at American Truck Training was fantastic. You truly get out of it what you put into it. I went there, fully expecting basic instruction and left with so much more. The instructors truly care about you and they care about learning the craft to make sure you know what you are doing when you test and then leave school to start your career. 10/10 would recommend. Getting your CDL-A is incredible job security.

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience at American Truck Training. The instructors were great, but Anthony was exceptional. My ability to get my CDL was due to his patience, relevant experience, and ability to teach without any frustration. Every drive I went on with him, especially the one-on-one drives, he helped me get more comfortable driving a commercial vehicle. Fantastic experience: I would definitely recommend this school to someone that is interested in getting their CDL. Everyone's experience will be different, but you'll get what you put in. The instructors were patient, friendly and would give you all the advice you needed and extra if you asked. It can get nerve racking while going out on a drive but the instructors will help you keep calm and collected, they all want you to succeed and will do their best to make sure you get your CDL. Also Abbey will help you along the way. She communicates well with each student in a timely manner, whether if you need time off for work/unexpected life event or needing more drives/maneuvers she'll get it situated out.

Fantastic experience: I love this school not only is it school they become family. They care so much about the students and wanting you to graduate and start your career. They have made so many changes. I love how they reorganized the pre-trip station having you to test out before you move on to the next station. I love how on the maneuver stations you get more maneuvers I love how they also try to get you on as many drives as they can... these changes are long has helped me in so many ways and I can finally say I have graduated with a smile and these are the best staff that you can ever ask for I would recommend American Truck training to anyone. Believe in yourself they will push you to your ability they know you can do it so dig deep inside of yourself and know you could do it as well American Truck training is the place to be if you really ready to get on the road I love this school...

Fantastic experience: I originally had nothing good to say about the facility. There were lots of ups and downs. Including miscommunication or lack of communication between office personnel, instructors and students. It was frustrating because all you reached were dead ends. I was ready to quit because there were lots of students, not enough trucks or instructors. One day I got a call and I came back. I was renewed in my hope for my CDL. Things had gotten better. A lot of bad seeds where fired and new passionate individuals replaced them. I never really knew Abbey before because she had an aid but once her aid was gone I saw dramatic changes for the better. Those changes compelled me to tell her I see the positive changes. She went from doing her job to 3 overnight and mastered them. I was grateful that she was open, caring and extremely helpful which was completely opposite of what we had before. At the time she didn’t know of all the struggles I was going through to complete my training but she went above and beyond to make sure I was fully prepared. After a time of setbacks like training 9 months pregnant, deaths and sickness I finally have my CDL! Thank you so much for believing and me and righting some wrongs. Thank you Jerome for coming up to me and renewing my mind toward continuing my CDL training. I didn’t even know you knew me or my struggles but I remember you telling me “Thank you for not giving up on us”. That goes both ways. Overall thank you guys so much! Forever grateful!

Fantastic experience: The amount of dedication to help get me in the school was unbelievable, Luis was texting with me for around 4 hrs on a Saturday when they were about to close in an hour he made sure to exhaust every available option to get me financing the complete process to get financing and enrollment is flawless and very smooth, no hoops to jump through, this is a 5 star review it deserves 5 stars × 100 , Luis you are the man !!
