Fantastic experience: Both of my teens were at NDT. It is absolutely a wonderful place. All of the staff are extremely helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. Dane was an exceptional instructor. My daughter’s driving improved tremendously and I am much more comfortable/confident with her being on the road after her time at NDT. I would definitely recommend doing your lessons here.

Fantastic experience: This was our second time using NDT for my two teens. We opted to do the parent taught program, but used this location for an hour of training and the driving test. Dane was their instructor and I can say as a parent, he was fabulous! He’s patient, super knowledgeable and made my teens feel comfortable. The office staff are all very welcoming and professional. I highly recommend NDT to any teen driver wanting to get their license.

Fantastic experience: My son really wanted me to teach him to drive. We opted for the parent taught course. Earlier this week he went to NDT for his drivers test. DPS is pretty booked out for this service. The test took 15 minutes and he passed! While getting his license, we learned the gentleman who gave the test , previously worked for their office and is the best type of professional to teach drivers ed. Great to hear he is still serving our community by being an instructor. The staff here is friendly, knowledgeable and timely. The location itself is comfortable and super clean. I highly recommend National Driver Training for your teen driver.

Positive experience: Illustrations and diagrams are very helpful when accompanying text to help enliven and clarify long passages of written prose explanations. Especially in the beginning sections of this course such pictorial amplification would be of use in keeping the reader's attention, and in making points succinctly.

Positive experience: I just moved to Lakeway and most of the people I've encountered between the ages of 30 and 50 are a terror on the road. I just tried to go to the grocery store and was almost hit 4 times by people flagrantly breaking the law, driving like lunatics and expecting you to stay out of their way. I guess when people have money they think they can do as they please. Shameful. Maybe they need to come back to driving school and all have to learn again. Not OK

Fantastic experience: I was so impressed by Dane Sherry, my son's driving instructor. After completing a parent taught driving course, I wanted to have my son go out with a professional instructor a couple of times to make sure he was ready to be independent. Dane, was so kind and reassuring that he instantly put my son at ease. My son felt so comfortable driving with Dane, that we decided to schedule the driving test with him. I would highly recommend National Driver Training and Dane to anyone.

Fantastic experience: I like the course especially the voice to read. It made things a lot easier to follow along with rather than just reading the course yourself, you'll find yourself rereading sentences and losing track of where you are. Also, the mandatory breaks really helped with focusing on the task.

Negative experience: I wouldn't use this company if they were the only company available. Staff is ridiculously rude. I purchased online parent taught for my new teen driver only to find out the day before her driver's test that I did not actually get the right course that I paid for. They told me I should have known and that for all these extra costs and extra time, I could switch her to the correct parent taught course (you know, like the one I already paid for). Not sure why I have to pay for them making a mistake. Just do it yourself through the DMV and don't bother wasting your time or money with this company.

Fantastic experience: Having recently moved to Texas from Scotland, I was very nervous about driving here (despite having driven in the UK for over 30 years) and reached out to National Driver Training for some confidence-building lessons and to sit my driving test. The team at National Driver Training were awesome. The customer service team ( especially Allie who I dealt with ) were always incredibly helpful and friendly, very welcoming. The two instructors I had ( Dane and Irene) put me at my ease, were chatty, funny, patient and great at helping build confidence with useful advice- never patronising . Thanks to a few lessons with them ( and some practising!), I improved and passed, so I am incredibly grateful and would definitely recommend to anyone like me, who has recently moved and found driving here a tad daunting!

Negative experience: Why am I paying another fee? It’s bad enough it was suppose to be 60.00 but some where you charge over 100 and some dollars. After 10 so minutes I paid over 200 dollars and then it wouldn’t even let me log on. Now I get a text message of 49 some dollars. Idk why I had to hit a star

Negative experience: EXPERIENCED DRIVERS BEWARE - THIS IS A SCAM !! **Please see previous reviews on here (and Yelp)** Staff incredibly rude and unhelpful indeed. Refused to allow us to use our own car to take a test. Failed my wife (who has been driving safely in the UK and US for 17 years with zero offenses and/or accidents). When we pushed back the owner decided to call me a 'jerkface' - see previous reviews of his personality. I would imagine they are happy ensuring all young drivers pass and leave glowing reviews. If you are an experienced driver YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!

Fantastic experience: Dane Sherry at National Driver Training in Lakeway, TX came to our rescue this week. We needed a driving test fast, after having to unexpectedly cancel a TX DMV test appointment. After a glowing review from a close friend, we called NDT and were able to schedule the test with Dane same day. We didn't pass this first test, but did pass with him two days later, all thanks to the thorough feedback given by Dane. His humor, calm demeanor, patience and kindness made an otherwise stressful week fun and educational. We are grateful to him and the wonderful staff at NDT, and highly recommend them to anyone needing driving education and/or testing. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: This place deserves 10 stars, the instructors are awesome, my daughter did one lesson with Dane and he was great and the rest of her lessons were with Irene and she is amazing, she made my daughter a great confident driver. I highly recommend this place, they are the best.

Positive experience: Course was easy to navigate. The only downside was the audio quality of the video clips (too low). One question after a quiz did not match with the video playing at the time. (The question asked for a name in the first example in the video clip; however, none of the names listed were in that video.) Test at the end is true to the material except one question that asked about 2012 data, but the presentation referenced 2017 data.

Fantastic experience: My experience from booking my first lesson to passing my driving test was an absolute pleasure. Huge shout out to the new staffing team; Terri, Irene and Dane. I'm going to miss coming into the office and being in your company. I moved to Texas recently, despite having a UK driving license I hadn't driven for over 10 years, so I was a little bit embarrassed and my confidence was low. When i called to book my first lesson, immediately the team made me feel comfortable, they walked me through all the paperwork/docs i needed to bring for the first lesson. Lessons are structured and well thought out, flexible to be tailored to accommodate an individuals skill level. They also give you feedback on the areas to practice on before your next lesson. I had both Irene and Dane as instructors, they are calm and friendly, putting you at ease and not aggressive. Their feedback and instructions are very clear and will give you a chance to ask questions if you're not sure/want advice/want to practice certain skills a bit more, you just have to ask. I'd highly recommend this driving school to anyone looking to take lessons and to also do their test with them!! THANK YOU NATIONAL DRIVING SCHOOL!

Fantastic experience: I used NDT for my daughters driving course. We had a few hick-ups through COVID with DMV. And since the DMV never answers the phone, I called NDT and Jose walked me through what we needed to do...they know the law and requirements. I recently needed to take a defensive driving course (traffic violation) and NDT was my first call. Wayne has a great team, a new easy website and the courses are Texas DPS approved, CALL THEM!

Negative experience: I had to wait over a month for an appointment here just to have my instructor call in sick on a holiday weekend. They never called me back to reschedule after they already charged me. Bad place to do business

Positive experience: They offer either 6 hours or 9 hours driving lessons. I wish they had a two hour course for B1/B2 visa holders with international drivers license, who may need either a quick refresher and familiarization.

Positive experience: Easy access to accomplish work. My son has only been through the first six hours. Need to update links to documents that are needed to get permit. The Texas residency and application are out of date.
