Negative experience: I had a frustrating experience with this driving school and would not recommend it. The front desk staff, especially the lady, was rude and unhelpful whenever I had questions. The "owner" misrepresented the services included in the package, and when I arrived for my lesson, I was told I’d need to pay an additional $50 for something that was supposed to be included. When I tried to address this, the staff was dismissive and refused to acknowledge the misleading information. They refunded my canceled lessons but then charged a $50 "admin fee," which was never disclosed upfront. Additionally, the language barrier made communication difficult, the staff seems to struggle with speaking and understanding English, and added to the frustration. Overall, this school seems more focused on making money than providing quality service. I strongly suggest looking elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: After a paperwork mistake (my fault) at the DPS DLO, we missed our appointment that we had booked for months. The next scheduled time was months away. I began looking for a location to get my daughter's road test accomplished sooner and found Ideal Driving. I called and learned they offer classes and testing 7 days a week, and could conduct a test the next day and upload the results directly to DPS for license processing. Scheduling was very easy and they worked to set my daughter at ease for the test since this was an unfamiliar driving area. The entire experience was professional and saved me from a "dad failure" delaying my daughter's license. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: I scheduled my son to take his Texas road test with Ideal Driving School after he had completed a parent taught driving school online version. I needed a local business that was open on Sunday's, and preferably one with competitive pricing ~ or better than! I found Ideal Driving School's parent and student reviews to be very positive and comforting. I gave them and call about 4 o'clock one day, they answered unlike another local school I called where I had to leave a message and then a call center contacted me back, and I had my son signed up for his road test on the date and time I needed) in less than 10 minutes! This was approx. one month before his sixteenth birthday. We were able to stop by the driving school the same day I booked the test to take a photo of the actual mapped out road test he would be taking ~ no problem! Very handy for driving practice. Today he took his road test! We arrived 10 minutes early and checked in with the friendly staff. We were able to pay using Zelle so that we didn't have to pay for additional fees for using a credit card. Next we met with the driving instructor before the road test, and were given an easy to read document to review that advised of exactly what would cause someone to lose points on the test or cause an immediate fail. Love the transparency! Practice makes perfect! The instructor was very friendly and my son shared that the road test experience was painless! Thank you Ideal Driving School! I recommend this school for anyone needing the Texas road test!

Fantastic experience: Ideal Driving School is the “ideal” driving school if you need to pass your Texas DPS written and road test.I had foolishly let me driver license expire and had to retake the Texas DPS written and road test again. I was full of anxiety and stress because it had been a long time since I had driven because I was in NYC. The school was truly “ideal” as it had a nurturing atmosphere and the staff treats you like family. The front desk woman was welcoming, warm and kind when I first called to inquire about lessons. She was very thorough and helped me through the steps needed to prepare for the written test. She was flexible and very accommodating, and worked with my schedule to conveniently schedule my driving lessons and road test. My driving instructors were professional, encouraging, and empathetic to my anxiety relearning how to drive. The instructors taught me special techniques that I learned which gave me confidence to drive safely without fears, and most importantly…. How to easily pass the perils of parallel parking! Ideal Driving School HIGHLY recommended! A+++++++++++++++

Negative experience: BEWARE! They make you pay through PayPal and then even when you cancel, they will keep your money. Because you pay through PayPal, you don’t really have a way of getting it back.

Also, they teach driving in a very safe and efficient manner, and they take full responsibility in crafting you into a very safe and knowledgeable driver on the roads. Their parallel parking technique is especially helpful, and it is much easier to learn and apply than how other people teach parallel parking! During my road test, my driving examiner was amazing, and after I passed my test, he explained in a detailed way any mistakes I made and how I can improve as a driver. Overall, I highly recommend this driving school!!
