Fantastic experience: Herman was my driving instructor and was very kind to talk too. I learned how to drive around my community, practiced turns a lot (like K turns and simple left and right), and even went to the DMV testing site where I learned how to parallel park. Herman was very polite when pointing out any mistakes (even if I repeated it many times) and was on time to every session. He was a very good instructor for my first 6 hours behind the wheel. I would recommend him to anyone learning how to drive for the first time.

Fantastic experience: Blanco taught three of my classes, and his teaching style was fantastic. He was patient, thorough, and explained each step clearly. I felt comfortable asking questions and felt my confidence growing after each session. Before my road test, I had a lesson with Celina, who was equally amazing. She reviewed key points and gave me tips to remember during the test, which really helped calm my nerves. I passed on my first try.

He has excellent observation skills, when the student needs work on something he lets it be known and then allows the student to acknowledged the mistake and correct it and practice on it as the course takes place.

Fantastic experience: I am an experienced driver. Just had to get NJ license as my international license couldn’t be verified. Took 1 class (2 hours, $140) 1 day before the test. All the things they ask in the road test were shown and I was given the opportunity to practice it multiple times. The next day, they drove me in their car (another $140) to the test center. I took the road test in their car. Passed it. I took an Uber home. Everything was communicated clearly. They came on time as promised. Very friendly and courteous.

Fantastic experience: I had good experience with Amar Driving School. I booked with them on phone. They advised me which locations would be good to book the road test at. I first took a 90 min lesson with their instructor Celina, she’s great and taught well. On the Road test day the instructor Blanco picked me up from my location, I took the 45 min lesson before the test. The instructor gave me the lesson, drove me to the test, after the test, dropped me back home. All of this was included in my package of $200. My Road Test date was half a month away, however, a few days after I’d booked with Amar Driving School, the lady from the school called me and and let me know there was an earlier date available due to cancellation and she booked it for me, which I really appreciate because I didn’t want to wait so long after I was eligible to take the test. Overall, great experience.

Fantastic experience: If you have a driving phobia, Mr. Raju is here to help. I believe he owns the business and was incredibly motivating in helping me overcome my fear of driving. Even when I made mistakes, he stayed calm and supportive, reminding me, "You are human. You will make mistakes." Over time, my driving skills improved significantly. I am glad one of my lessons was on a Saturday, as he took me to the road test course and allowed me to drive through it by myself. Stepping out of the car to let me handle it alone really helped ease my nerves for the actual test. Take all his advice about driving, but be cautious about anything else he might say!

Fantastic experience: My driving instructor Herman was great! I took one 2-hour course with Herman before the driving test and he taught me exactly what the DMV expects, like parallel parking. Herman is a knowledgeable instructor and made me feel comfortable during our lesson. I was able to complete the parallel parking portion of the test in one try and easily passed the rest of the test.

He took me on route one south taught me the k1 and parallel parking all at a good speed. it was a 6 hour course but we fit the majority of it in 1 day a 2 hour lesson. The car we drove in was in great condition no mechanical issues and it was a comfortable drive

He made me write this review and even made me take photos. Herman was a good instructor though. Raju was on his phone sometimes while driving.

Fantastic experience: If it's your first time behind the wheel, I would totally recommend taking the 6 hrs class. Learn the basics from the tutor on the first day, then try it with a parent for 3-4 days and then when you get more confident, take the 2nd and 3rd classes whenever you want. And of course, how can I not talk about my tutor Mr. Ram, a big shoutout to him for patiently teaching me, not scolding me (especially when I made those weird turns and abrupt stops lol), and taking time to explain me all the highway signs and rules. Also, the Parallel Parking I assure you I am not forgetting that in this lifetime!!

Negative experience: Paid for lesson before road test but didn’t receive this. They said there was not enough time even though we had 45mins before my road test time, made me do my road test early with no warm up or practice on the day. Made me feel very anxious about the test and ended up failing on parallel park. Will be using a different driving school for my next road test, a school that actually wants me to pass.

Fantastic experience: I trained with Herman. He was very organized and responsive to my questions. Car was clean and in good condition. The first class was about getting a better sense of the car and the rules for passing the test. These rules were reinforced throughout the 3 classes I took. Second class was more focused on road rules and diving at a slower speed in a residential area with significant emphasis on rules and turning at different speeds. The last class was focused on turning and driving in lane. Across the three classes, the basic rules were repeated ample times to cover the test requirements.

Fantastic experience: Best driving school and instructors here, as a complete beginner with no prior experience It was only an hour in until I felt confident driving on the road and making good manoeuvres. Definitely recommend to anybody looking to save time and money on quality.

Amar Driving Schopl had one of the best prices for 6 hour driving and the car they taught me in was in very good condition.
