Persis Driving School

All DMV packages include the school making the DMV appointment, using the school car & insurance for the test, and free online driver Ed for students under 17 ½.

We offer pick-up and drop-offs for all our packages from your default home address. We also offer pick-up & drop-off from work/school (consent from parent/guardian required for minors.)

All of our training sessions are one on one, but for your assurance and peace of mind; a parent or an immediate family member of 18 years of age or older can sit through a session for a minor with prior notice.

By far, the easiest and most responsive school to work with. Searched around various schools, and landed here-they honor veteran/military discounts, and the instructors are great-son had nothing but fantastic things to say and he had fun while taking the lessons!

Long overdue review. Sam helped me pass my driving test last year and become confident in allowing myself to learn how to drive and not beat myself up for not getting it right the first time. He really allowed me to recognize that I was only stopping myself and that I too can be on the road and not be afraid to be. I had my last lesson and driving test scheduled the same month my permit was going to expire, and I was about to cancel my driving test because I was still pretty nervous and getting in my head that 3 lessons was not enough. However, Sam did not think the same, he believed that I could. He made me change my mentality and I went through with the scheduled time, and I passed! So grateful, thank you!

I found Persis Driving School on Yelp to help my teenage son prep for the Behind the Wheels test. As a mom, I’d get super anxious teaching/practicing driving with my son myself. I’m so happy we got Sam as in the instructor. Even though I didn’t get to go to the lessons with them, the limited interactions I had with Sam before and after the lessons just put my mind at ease. He’s a kind and courteous person. My son also agrees. He just passed the test on the 1st try on October 8! Really appreciate it, Sam! We definitely made the right decision with Persis Driving School. Wish we started with them even at the permit time! Highly recommend!

Can’t say enough about how impressed I am with Sam. He is professional, punctual, safe and very trustworthy. He has rare qualities that go well beyond the requirements of a driving instructor. I am lucky that he taught my daughter and my teenage daughter was so impressed that for the first time, she came to me asking that I leave the best review for Sam. I usually don’t write Yelp reviews but had to for this school because Sam is such an amazing instructor. Not only is he a great instructor but he is a great person as well. He makes you feel comfortable and knows your limits; he teaches at a pace you’re comfortable with. I’m typically a very shy and conservative person but he really made me warm up to him because he’s so friendly and likeable. Before the driving test, he made sure I was okay and helped me calm down because I do get a bit anxious for tests. I passed the driving test with ease and confidence all thanks to Sam! Such an incredible and considerate instructor!

Sam did a great job teaching our daughter how to drive. We expect her to pass the driving test this week and so soon she can drive herself to the pickleball court and to school. Thank you Persis.

I’m so happy I found this school. I’m 20 years old and driving has never really been a priority for me but given that it’s turning into a necessity, I had to learn. Although I had learned on and off from my parents, they were always so worried and full of anxiety when it came to teaching me how to drive. However, my experience with Sam was the complete opposite. He is very supportive and encouraging from the second you get behind the wheel with him. He helps build your confidence and offers a lot of useful tips that you couldn’t find elsewhere. I am 10x’s more confident in driving just after one lesson. I definitely recommend Sam!

My daughter just finished all three sessions with Sam at Persis. The entire experience, from start to finis, was pure excellence. He was very professional, thorough and attentive. I highly recommend this school!!

I am by personality a very anxious and nervous person. I’m so glad to have had Sam as my driving instructor. He made me feel comfortable, reassured me, significantly boosted my confidence on the road and showed me everything I needed to know. I had 4 different instructors from different schools before but he was unlike any normal instructor. he really sit down with you and evaluates your problem areas or other external/internal issues that you may need more practice on. Sam was also very caring and empathetic towards me. I wouldn’t have wanted anyone else to have been with me on my day. Even though I was super nervous, I passed w few marks. After the test, I hopped out the car with the biggest grin on my face feeling so joyful that I had passed today. It is a bittersweet feeling though because Sam really was the best, even with last minute issues we had and also scheduling to personally go with me to take my test so last minute to accommodate me ???? I usually don’t write reviews but if you are looking for a driving school, I would most definitely recommend going with Persis!!

I highly recommend Persis Driving School! I called 3 driving schools in Irvine and no one picked up but Persis Driving School was the only one that called me back. Elysis, the customer service representative, provides fantastic customer service over the phone! He’s always willing to help!

I already had my license for 2 years but hadn’t driven since thus I wanted to refresh my driving skills as well as gain confidence on the road. I requested 3 driving lessons and for Sam to be my driving instructor from a recommendation. He is a fantastic instructor! Sam is very patient and gives terrific tips! He’ll ask you what you want to work more on and be honest when critiquing your driving skills. He genuinely wants his students to be good and smooth drivers. I feel much more confident driving after 2 of his lessons and can’t wait to see what I’ll learn in the 3rd! Oh, and he is a very interesting person so lots of good stories too!
