The Driver Education Course, by state law, consists of twenty-four (24) hours of classroom instruction. Students must be 15 years and 6 months old with a valid temporary permit to begin classroom.Students will be required to keep a driving log of drive times to be presented on their first drive with a Bick's instructor. Once the student has completed the classroom sessions (assuming they have obtained their temporary permit), they may schedule their driving.

Classroom sessions concentrate solely on defensive driving. We teach the National Safety Council defensive driving course and the Smith System. 

Classes are taught in a clean, smoke free environment by well trained professional instructors with many years of teaching experience.

Students will need to have a minimum of 20/25 hours with parents or guardian before starting their in car instruction with Bick's. Registration is completed over the phone with a $300.00 minimum down payment at the time of registration by calling the Middletown Bick's office at 513-423-7288. The eight (8) hours of driving is generally scheduled as four, two-hour sessions. The driving is scheduled at the student's convenience.

Bick's will pick them up at home or school. If they do not live in our service area, they must come to the office or to a mutually agreed upon place for the driving sessions.

Bick's Driving School uses late model, air conditioned, dual controlled vehicles which are safety inspected by the State Highway Patrol.

The student will be taught the maneuverability procedure and be able to practice it many times during the course of their training with Bick's.

In 1967, Jack started Bick's Driving School with one car and one classroom location. Since then we have grown throughout the Cincinnati area.

Bick's Driving School is one of the largest driving schools in Southwestern Ohio. Bick's Driving School of Middletown, Lebanon, and Springboro is a privately owned and operated franchise serving the greater Middletown area, (including Monroe, Trenton and Germantown) and Warren County areas including Springboro, Franklin, Carlisle and Greater Lebanon for more than fifty years.

Each instructor at Bick's Driving School of Middletown has a minimum of 15 years driving experience and holds an Ohio Driving Instructor License. Before a person can obtain an Ohio state Instructors License, they must complete 8 weeks of rigorous training and pass a State written and driving examination. All of our instructors go through an FBI background check and must pass a physical every year.
