Macatawa Driving School

Experiencia positiva: I had a pretty good experience with Macatawa (I took segment 1 and segment 2 through them). As a student I really appreciated that they valued maturity and character, not just test scores. My segment 2 instructor did a good job at approaching topics we'd discussed previously (during segment 1) from a new perspective. The questions he asked about our experience and future with driving pushed me to truly consider if I was ready for my license, which was good because it's a big responsibility. Overall, it was a decent experience and the classroom instructors were very chill while also adequately teaching about the risks and responsibilities that come with driving.

Experiencia fantástica: My daughter took segment 1 through this driving school she had an amazing experience the teacher and driving instructors were amazing they were very patient but honest and we appreciate that! Thanks for a great experience!

Experiencia negativa: Impossible to contact. Paid before covid started for 3 students. Unable to get money back when everything shut down, waited years for 2 students to get into the class we paid for. No phone number or voicemail. Email communication only, which isn’t returned. Daughter needs her segment 2 certificate to test which we can’t get a response from anyone. Save your sanity and use a different company.

Experiencia fantástica: I absolutely loved this school! They taught me, clearly, everything I needed to know when it comes to driving. They taught me how to get gas, go through a car wash, and of course, the standard driving tips and rules. They also really did a good job in having me practice the state parking test. The instructors were amazing, and during the class, one shared the Gospel! I was very impressed and happy about that. Little did I know that two years later, I would be driving all the way to Tennessee with my twin sister! I felt totally prepared to make the 12 hour drive. Compared to the other schools my friends learned from, this school really covered the bases, and I was definitely the most prepared for my driving test, not to mention making my first long road trip by myself! Thanks so much Macatawa Driving School!

Experiencia negativa: One of their instructors passed me on a highway on ramp, on the shoulder. I drive a semi truck... sure hope they don't teach the same way they drive.

Experiencia fantástica: Just signing up child #4 because they are great! All of my kids, have taken driver's training with Macatawa. The instructors are very good and also helpful with kids that need a little extra help. All 3 that have completed passed their driver's test the first time around :)

Experiencia negativa: I've been trying to get a hold of them for the past WEEK to get a copy of my segment 1 certificate. They say that they are unavalible till the 26th of janurary so i called them today & it is the 27th and there is STILL no one to answer the phone. I'm just trying to get my damn licence but clearly nobody there knows how to do their job or answer the damn phone. Century is honestly way better at customer service then these people.
