Driving School in Guilford, CT offering driver's ed classes, behind-the-wheel lessons, and license testing services for teens & adults.

Includes 30 hours of live Zoom class sessions & 8 hours of driving lessons. Going above & beyond the CT state minimum 8 hour drug & alcohol safety program requirement, this course offers unparalleled, comprehensive knowledge that equips new drivers with the mastery to navigate the roads safely & courteously with the added benefits of a shorter license wait time for teens & possible insurance discounts depending on the insurance provider. Classes may be taken in any order and additional driving lessons can be added at any time.

Our 8-hour safe driving course (aka 8-hour drug & alcohol safety course) fulfills the minimum driver education requirement for the state of CT. All classroom sessions are taught by a live instructor via Zoom. This course does not include any private driving lessons, but they can be purchased at any time. Classes are offered in one 8-hour day (adults only), two 4-hour days or four 2-hour days.

Driving lessons are done in 2-hour blocks and begin with the basics so that the instructor can develop a good understanding of each student’s experience, skill, knowledge and confidence. As lessons progress, the instructor will make sure that each core skill is learned before building upon it. Lessons will cover accelerating, braking, turning and parking maneuvers before graduating to lane choice, speed management, urban and rural driving, driving on hills, highway driving and mock road tests (if purchased).

Avoid the crowd & DMV headaches. Relax & test with us! Use our car, at our location, with a TNS test host on hand to answer any last-minute questions and calm nerves. We handle all of the paperwork ahead of time and the DMV agent comes to our location to evaluate students.

We offer license test appointments at our convenient locations across the State of Connecticut. Tests run every 15 minutes between 8am and 1pm. The available schedules listed here are not a guarantee of availability, sign up and login to the Student Portal to see live availability and book your license test appointments.

Experiencia negativa: I don't recommend the on road driving part of this school. Too many zoom students, too few in person on road driving lesson slots. Exorbitant fees.

Thanks for your feedback and sorry we weren’t able to meet your expectations. We keep our Zoom class sizes smaller than the state maximum requirement and pride ourselves on our availability of lessons and classes. We do have fees in place, but they are to assure that all our customers take their lesson appointments seriously, as a missed lesson takes away opportunities for our other students to drive. We go to great lengths with our reminders and confirmations system to assure that we are reminding our students via email and sms of appointment dates and times, as well as how to be set up for the most learning outcomes. If you have additional time with us, we hope we are able to exceed your expectations for schedule availability and outstanding service.

Experiencia negativa: My on the road lesson instructor was rude and aggressive. I did not feel comfortable with her in the car. She had her foot on the emergency brake the entire time. She also asked me who took me for my first few driving lessons. While I was driving she pulled out her phone and started looking her name to see who this “bad instructor” was. She said I need more driving lessons when I really have a lot of experience

The Guilford classroom location is new and clean and the cars are well maintained. Would definitely recommend over other local driving schools.
