CLASSES (All classes are being offered online only.) Students can begin taking classes on their 16th birthday. The required Parent/Student Class is the first class. One parent must attend this class with the student.

No, you don’t need your permit to attend the class. You will, however, need your permit when you begin to schedule your in-car driving lessons in our online student portal.

No, you do not need to attend the classes in chronological order. For your convenience, you can put together a schedule of classes that works best for you. Just make sure you complete all 15, including the Parent Class, before you take your road test.

The easiest way to schedule your driving lessons is online through our Student Center using the Username and Password that was sent to you via email when you signed up. You can call the office during business hours and we’ll be happy to assist you.

All driving lessons begin and end at the Fresh Green Light facilities. By default, you’ll see the schedule for available drives at the location you’ve registered for. But you may take a driving lesson at any location. Please call the office if you’d like to schedule a driving lesson at a different facility.

Our scheduling system automatically sends you an email reminder 48 hours in advance of the lesson time, which provides plenty of time to reschedule in case something comes up. You also have the option of receiving text message reminders as well if you chose that selection during registration.

We have a strict 24 Hour Cancellation Policy: If you cancel a lesson with less than 24 hours notice, you will be charged a $50 cancellation fee regardless of the reason for the cancellation. We confirm the schedules of our outstanding Driving Coaches 24 hours in advance and we commit to paying them for the lessons on their schedule at that time.

If you must cancel a lesson, please do so by logging into the Student Center and cancelling the lesson online. Do not leave a voicemail or send an email as this will not cancel your lesson.

Nope. Students must have their permit (or temporary permit) physically with them during lessons. We are required by the DMV to make sure that every student has their learner’s permit physically with them for every behind-the-wheel driving lesson – photo copies or pictures on phones don’t cut it. If a student doesn’t have their permit for their lesson, a $ 50.00 cancellation fee will be applied.

No. The DMV only allows a student to take one driving lesson a day. Students can attend classroom sessions and have a driving lesson on the same day. More importantly, we highly suggest that you space your driving lessons out over several weeks so that you are practicing what you’ve learned before moving on to the next lesson.

During the school year, driving lessons usually book around 4 weeks in advance at Fresh Green Light, especially prime weekend times and school breaks. Summer is busiest time, so lessons can sometimes be booked out more than a month in advance. Please plan accordingly.

They do not need to be at the facility on your test date. In fact, we request that parents don’t come to the road test as it tends to make our students’ more nervous than they already are!

We can accommodate up to 22 students per test day, and advance sign up is required. We schedule two sessions on the day at the test: one at 8AM for ten (11) students and another at 10:00 AM. (Student test times are based on signup dates – first to sign up goes first and so on). The test itself takes about 20 minutes and is conducted on roads near our facility.

You will receive a temporary Driver’s License when you pass your Road Test. Your physical Driver’s License will be sent to you in the mail by the DMV.

Experiencia fantástica: Peggy and the instructors are personable and committed to helping our kids become safe drivers. By the time the driving test date arrived, I was confident my student was well prepared. And the convenience of taking it right here in Wilton was an added bonus.

Experiencia fantástica: We loved Fresh Green Light Driving-Wilton. We completed the 40 hour course and took the driving test through FGL which worked out wonderfully. The main reason we selected this school was because of the flexibility it offered in the course times. They post a schedule and you decide when to complete the mandated courses. The one at the high school was a fixed schedule and with kids constantly changing schedules that just didn't work for us. The instructors were professional and informative. Peggy is awesome and so good with the teens as well as Larry and Pete too. I would recommend FGL Driving School to all teens and adults. We now get so excited when we see one of their cars driving around :) Thank you for a great experience!!

Experiencia fantástica: My daughter had a wonderful experience at Fresh Green Light; the program is very organized and offers different locations if it is easier for the entire family. This was a true help in balancing the education/classroom requirements. The actual driving lessons offered great guidance on rules of the road, safety, observation, concentration and methods to park correctly. Fresh Green Light ensured my daughter was ready for her road test. Would highly recommend FGL! Customer Support was available and responsive. Thank you!

Experiencia fantástica: Everyone, from the office to the instructors were very accommodating. The program allows students to take classes at several locations and at several times. We took full advantage of that in order to fit in all 15 classes. Peggy, the Wilton instructor really cares about the teens and wants to see them succeed. She is straight with them but also shares the reality with them. I am planning to have my younger child take driving lessons and classes with FGL when she is 16.

Experiencia fantástica: This program was fantastic for my son. The classes were flexible to fit around his schedule and he could attend in other locations to get his classes in the event of a conflict. He enjoyed the content of each and the videos kept him engaged and interested. Peggy was also super supportive and patient with him during his practices drives and provided relevant feedback each time that he could then apply in practical driving situations. She was always on time to pick and up and drop off and you can tell she enjoys the teens and can engage in conversation with them at their level. Thanks Peg and FGL!

Experiencia fantástica: Daughter had a successful experience with Green Light. She enjoyed all the instructors and it was easy to schedule driving classes. Note: We bought a couple extra "practice" classes the week prior to test and I think that greatly helped to pass the test the first time.

Experiencia fantástica: Really helped coordinate our student's schedule around conflicting commitments this summer. Having multiple locations made accommodating our crazy travel much easier. The HQ staff is first rate. The curriculum updates driving to today's demands (traffic volume, distractions, etc.) and reinforces key elements both in classroom and behind the wheel. The course is not inexpensive. However, I feel it was worth the $$$. I can see the huge improvement in our student from start to finish :-)

Experiencia fantástica: We can't say enough about our great experience with Fresh Green Light. After researching local driving schools and frankly hearing horror stories we found Fresh Green Light which was recommended by a friend. Our son took the course and was well prepared for a variety of driving conditions. His instructor Peggy was a gem! We would recommend this driving school to all of our friends and plan to use it for our younger daughter when the time comes.
