I learned a lot of techniques to practice for my license test, and I have confidence that I will be able to replicate the maneuvers on my own in the future thanks to the instruction.

Growing up in Lima, Peru, I was told it had some of the worst traffic accidents in the world, and my father never let me drive. Later in life, circumstances pulled me away from this goal entirely. For years I believed driving just wasn’t meant for me. But The Next Street Driving School changed that—thanks especially to Paivo and Jose. Paivo has a calm, grounded presence that made me feel safe right away. What stood out most was that he didn’t hold my hand unnecessarily—he observed my driving with quiet confidence and let me prove to myself that I was more capable than I realized. That kind of trust, especially coming from an instructor, was powerful. It wasn’t that he went easy on me—it was that he saw my potential and gave me room to rise to it. That made all the difference. Jose, by contrast, is beautifully detail-oriented. He’s thorough, attentive, and makes sure nothing is left out. He breaks down every maneuver with care, and for someone like me who appreciates structure, his style felt like a true gift. Even if you think you're a beginner, you’ll walk away from a lesson with Jose feeling like a real driver—with real tools, real awareness, and real confidence. As a woman in my 30s who once feared she'd missed her chance, this journey has been unexpectedly empowering. These instructors didn’t just teach me how to drive. They helped me realize I could own the road, trust myself, and take back control over a part of life that had always felt out of reach. I still have more lessons ahead, and for this reason, I will choose The Next Street Driving School—because of how much they’ve already given me spiritually, psychologically, and practically. If you're starting late, feeling nervous, or doubting yourself—especially as a woman—know that you’ll be seen, respected, and uplifted here. I’m so grateful I found this school.

Experiencia fantástica: Before I go into my review, I want to thank Paivo & Jose. They both have advocated for me in times when I had some difficulties with TNS. For instance there was a time when I scheduled a lesson in West Springfield, and for some reason the lesson was actually booked in Westfield. I was waiting outside in the cold for at least an hour or two wondering if I actually missed the lesson and was worried about a no-show fee and that’s when Paivo let me in after finishing a lesson with another student and he contacted the support team that on my behalf and turns out there was a technical error of some sort and I had to reschedule. As for Jose, he has advocated for bigger vehicles for larger students (such as myself) since in my first lesson I actually struggled to get into the vehicle. Both have taken the time to advocate for me whenever I experienced difficulties and both have also taken the time to teach me how to drive on the road properly. It took a couple road tests, but it got done and I am forever grateful. My only complaint with TNS is I wish there bigger vehicles for students, other than that the staff was phenomenal.

Jose made the zoom class feel comfortable and understanding. He explains things really well, makes sure you understand the context, and overall he’s an outstanding guy. He had also been my instructor which was also such a good experience. Paivo on the other hand was my first instructor. I was super nervous the first day and he helped me calm down, he’s super open and chill. His humor is amazing..(both of them) Thank you The Next Street

When I had questions she had answers for me, she would explain it in a way I would be able to understand it. Overall I love having her and she is my favorite instructor.

Experiencia negativa: Takes forever to get a hold of somebody . Barely has openings but quick to take your money oh and they get 10% of whatever you pay when you want a refund for no services ! 0/10 would never recommend I had to reach out to them to get a refund . They were not in contact . I recommend united driving or any other school.

Experiencia fantástica: Getting your driver license is something very important, however learning how to drive and get ready for the road test is a whole new experience that stays with us for ever. Having my driving lessons with Joseph Shink has been the best that could happened to me during this journey. He is very professional, very focus on teaching you everything you need and the most important, he is a teacher with a lot a patience, who will always pay attention to your questions and the skills you need to improve.

He’s very informative, makes the experience very comfortable for all and best of all, a comedic! I highly recommend Bob to any future oncoming students!

Experiencia fantástica: I started at the next street driving school in September this year in the full driving school package. I’ve gained more knowledge, how to’s and confidence learning and practicing driving than I would have had I not enrolled or just did driving lessons without the classroom portion. The instructors are very knowledgeable and kind, very patient and make you feel calm and safe on the road and makes the classroom enjoyable, even humorous at times to lighten up the more serious conversations after a period of time. I love that I get to choose my pace and what I’d like to work on more or less and they help you learn what your strengths are and what you need to work on. The instructors don’t make you feel bad or a failure when you make a mistake but they kindly correct you and remind you how to do things the right way and what happens on test day if you do it incorrectly. They use your mistakes to guide you the right way so you get better at it. Overall I really enjoy attending this driving school and will recommend 100% and one day bring my kids here to learn also. Plus they are flexible with any schedule and payment plans/options.
