Experiencia negativa: I regret signing up here. The pricing rules are not communicated clearly at all. We were charged far more than expected for a missed lesson, and only afterward did we learn about “extra” fees that were never mentioned up front. Very disappointing experience.

Experiencia negativa: We were told the no-show fee was $40, but the school charged us the full lesson price plus an additional $40 — a total of $100 for missing a $60 lesson. This double-fee policy was never explained, never shown in writing, and definitely not disclosed clearly when we signed up. It feels intentionally misleading, and based on other reviews, this seems to be a repeated pattern here. We expected to pay the advertised $40 penalty — not an extra hidden charge stacked on top of the lesson fee. When we tried to clarify, the responses were dismissive instead of helpful. This is exactly why the school has such low ratings. Families deserve transparent pricing, not surprise charges after the fact.

Experiencia negativa: Curriculum used is 20 years out of date while the desks and other furniture is 30 years out of date. After the four day refund period has ended the teachers do not care if the student learns or is on their phone the whole class. The only rule enforced is be to class on time or don’t bother showing up. The price of the class is now $400 instead of the previous $300 despite the lack of improvements made to better the class or the classroom.

Experiencia fantástica: Took my first class today (300 bundle/6 classes). Setting up the first class was easy, both times I've been spoken to respectfully and had a good conversation with the instructor (mark). Very respectful people and very knowledgeable, highly recommend.

Experiencia negativa: If you want people to shout at you, you may prefer this course. The owner of this course told us: "I am the owner of this course, I can behave as I want. I can shout at you if I want." If you want to get this bad service by paying more money, the choice is yours. They don't show up to the exam date they gave you and deduct your extra money. This is a terrible school

Experiencia positiva: So far so good. My daughter is on her second runabout today, we'll see how SHE does. But to date the company has been very good and easy to work with. They have nice, safe cars to teach in. Driver instructor has always been on site, waiting when we pull up so I can say they are very punctual, if that matters to you. I can't complain on this because it was actually the wife who has scheduled our daughters hours so far, but I find it a tad annoying that so far we've only done 1 hour appointments. I am not sure whether they provide the option to schedule a longer drive time so I can't dis them. I would just prefer they schedule a 2 hour block.

Experiencia fantástica: Looking back, there is so much that I learned from this place. Classes are paced, and easy going with funny, attentative, and earnest driving instructors. These people want you to succeed, and be the best that you can be behind the wheel. Had nothing but good solid education from these folks with no propaganda / biased driver education. Prepared me for my adulthood, and gave me the mindset to hold my current record. 6 years no accidents, no tickets, no violations, and taught me how to turn my head. Very good for the money.

Experiencia fantástica: My driving instructor for my driving hours was amazing! He did a great job of showing me everything I need for my test. Also doing class instruction here definitely helped and I would totally go here to get everything you need to be a good driver.

Experiencia positiva: It was very good, the driver teacher guy was nice and told me everything I had to do. If I had to learn to drive again I would definitely go back to this place.

Experiencia positiva: While it is run down. It is not an awful place to get drivers Ed training. Most of the staff is very friendly and want you to do well. They do a decent job covering the material and a very good job during driver hours. I enjoyed most of my driving hours ans class time and would recommend it to anyone interested. *There is one guy, however, that really should not be teaching there. My worst experience was with him, and the only reason I am giving this a 4/5.

Experiencia negativa: There is a lack of communication between the 3 people that work in this small, worn-out school. Ask the same question to all 3, and you would get 3 very different answers. This has a huge and negative impact on both the student and the parent. They'll try to take as much money as they can for a very small amount of service. Pay extra and go to a trustworthy school, don't waste your time with Northgate. I would give the school a negative number of stars, if the option was possible.

Experiencia negativa: Go anywhere else...these people do no return calls. The hours listed on their website are not accurate, apparently they work whenever they feel like. I have 5 more children who will need driver's ed, but will NOT be using Northgate in the future. My daughter needs her last 1 hour and has her test scheduled, but we can't get anyone to answer the phone!!! Other driver's ed places have the ability to schedule hours online, yet this place doesn't even know what hour their client's are on...we have to tell them each time we've called.
