Experiencia positiva: I’ve noticed that their call time is very slim. 10:30 to 2 is only a 2 and a half hour window. I’ve been trying to get a hold of them to enroll since their last semester. We’ve been playing phone tag with each other, and granted that’s partially my fault. But if yall were open for more than 2 and a half hours it would probably allow for more people to enroll and get their licenses.

Experiencia negativa: My daughter and I called numerous times over the months, to inquire about driving classes. They never answer their phone, or return phone calls.

Experiencia negativa: This place is unprofessional as they come. They teach, with no exaggeration, what they feel is "reasonable". Not the actual laws. If you show them facts such as, the law says this, they simply say "yeah but thats not reasonable". This is who we are allowing to teach young people to drive?

Experiencia negativa: Over the past two months, I've left two voice messages and filled out an online form - and still no response - which makes me question the five-star ratings.

Experiencia fantástica: Jim is phenomenal!!! He trained my daughter after she received her permit and he was willing to meet us in Sedona and Cottonwood as needed. He has a car with the passenger brake which is perfect for brand new drivers. I am so glad we decided to work with Jim. He even gave her the driving exam himself once her 10 hours were complete. She was able to grab her license from the DMV right after. Highly recommend if you have a new driver!

With being a very nervous driver, and with Jim's calm demeanor and gentle instruction, our daughter was able to gain confidence in driving. Lesson's were before her school time and she was able to get to class on time.

Experiencia fantástica: Both of our daughters have gone through the driver's training program with Jim. Although it may sometimes be difficult to get in contact with Jim because he has a very busy schedule, he always calls you back. The program is well worth the time, effort, and expense in order to produce a safe new driver on the roads!

Experiencia fantástica: I was very pleased with Jim as my sons driving instructor. He was very reliable with scheduling and returning phone calls. Every lesson my son learned from Jim's guidance and was able to self correct the next lesson. Jim was a godsend because i did not have the nerves to teach my teenager how to drive. Jim went above and beyond to help my son get his license since both of our cars were not working at the time. I am forever grateful for finding him from my neighbors recommendations.

Both of my boys completed the education and driver training and have a lot of valuable knowledge, skills, and are safe drivers. Jim was patient during lessons and conscientious to ensure that all driving lessons were completed timely.

Experiencia fantástica: We have had a great experience with A1 Driving School in Prescott! All 3 of my daughters have done the 10 hours behind the wheel driver training with Jim when they were 15. They all 3 learned so much and became much better drivers having driven with Jim. He was very patient with them. It definitely helped to calm some of my nerves as a parent of a new driver. I would highly recommend A1 driving School to anyone!

He made sure she was exposed to a variety of driving environments. After completing a series of driving lessons, she was able to book her road test with him, which she passed with flying colors!! Experiencia positiva: Jim is a very kind and calm driving instructor, two qualities that go VERY far when teaching teenagers to drive. He is professional at what he does and gives a realistic gauge of how your kid is doing when you ask. His class was very informative and he allowed our son to take a little more time than typical to complete his written permit test. The one could-be-improved aspect we experienced is what many reference - there is a response lag time when you go to try to schedule a driving session with him, so it would be difficult to complete the 10 driving sessions quickly if you had a need for urgency. Jim’s kind and calm demeanor, and our lack of an urgent timeline, along with our emphasis on our son driving when he was truly ready in his own time, made A-1 Driving School a good fit for our family.

Experiencia fantástica: We couldn't be more pleased with the service us and our son received from Jim. By far one of the nicest guys I've ever met. He was very patient with our son, and took the time to explain everything. Our son felt more comfortable driving with Jim than he did with either one of us. He's a one man operation, so he might not answer emails and voice-mails in a split second, but he does respond. Our child was raised not to be an entitled little brat, so he was very appreciative of everything that Jim said, and took his constructive criticism as direction, not as an insult. Highly recommend

Experiencia negativa: The driving lessons are an ok investment if you need a vehicle to practice on. Expect no more than one lesson a week, that’s if you can get a hold of him. (Very very very hard, but he works by himself so i get it.) However DONT let him talk you into doing the driving test with him. If you do, you won’t get out without throwing 1000$ + he won’t pass you. His tests are almost an hour and downtown by the courthouse at peak hour during a weekend evening. Not exactly ideal conditions especially for someone nervous during a test. Also he nit picks a lot. You’re warned… Go to the dmv. They got no skin in the game & the process is fast & straight forward. No grift nor money grab. If you do decent, you’ll pass.

Experiencia negativa: I feel bad for all the time I've wasted I've called them numerous times no calls back I left messages no calls back I've done emails no emails back no one answers the phone no way to even get your scheduled in very unfortunate it's only company around I don't even know how they keep the doors open

Experiencia negativa: I've been trying to get my daughter to sign up for driving lesson but the guy promise me to send/email me information for the class lecture schedule. I've been trying for almost a year now and before my daughter got her permit but dind't receive anything or this person didn't get back to me after the last time I talk to him on the phone. Your company is very unreliable. I'm surprise that you still have the business. VERY DISAPPOINTED!

Experiencia negativa: Instructor is nice, but needs to hire a secretary or someone to help with bookings. It is very rare for anyone to answer the phone. Most of the messages I leave go unanswered. Impossible to schedule next lessons. After paying for 10 driving lessons it's been many months and we have only been able to schedule 3 of them.

Experiencia negativa: The instruction was good, however getting driving time is like pulling teeth. Jim never returns calls, won’t schedule for more than once every other week. My foster child enrolled last January and still hasn't been able to finish her driving part. For the outrageous amount of money they charge they should treat their customers better. Look elsewhere to get your listener.

Experiencia fantástica: Useful information and good tea\coffee! The instructor was so nice he noticed i was trying to make tea so he helped me as well as made the lecture intresting! He made jokes and made learning fun. When you have to do a tss course (or whatever else drivers school does) Jim is deffinatly the way to go!
