Experiencia fantástica: I had a great experience at Blue Ridge Driving School. The instructor, Mr. Hutson, is an ex–state trooper, and you can tell he really knows his stuff. He’s funny, genuine, and makes class time feel short and engaging instead of something you dread going to. Highly recommended!

Experiencia negativa: I don’t recommend anyone go to this school because of favoritism and some mentors are very rude disrespectful humiliating people yelling and nobody cares about you they have poor experience if you want to waste your time and money then go there

Experiencia negativa: I signed my daughter up for the drivers ed course and behind the wheel after emailing with the owners about the course to make sure it was the correct class for my daughter since the information on their website is very vague. I was assured that the drivers ed course would be for my daughter as she had not taken the written permit test and didn't have a permit yet. Fast forward 8 weeks and now the owner is telling me that she should have already taken the test and that this course that she just went through was for individuals who had failed the written test 3 times and if she had taken the test and failed the course would allow her to get her permit. I am beyond annoyed. I specifically contacted them and got an affirmative from them that this course was for students who had not taken their written permit test yet. So essentially they took my money and didn't communicate that the class was not what we had discussed I was looking for. I would not recommend them for any future business. When I brought up the fact that we had emailed about this prior to my signing up my daughter and paying, I was told "he gets a lot of emails" as if that is an excuse for lying about what the course is.

Experiencia negativa: Emailed asking for availability, they asked my age, I said 22. They ceased to respond and I had to email again days later. "I only teach behind the wheel for students under 18 Sent from my iPhone" Why? No explanation, no further help, and I gotta learn how to drive too ya know.

Experiencia negativa: I called for assistance with a unique situation with Behind the Wheel. The man was RUDE and unhelpful. I'll never understand those in the service industry who are rude. This man will NEVER get my money with any of my 4 children.

Experiencia fantástica: Always has been very helpful and polite...me and a few of my best friends went here and we all loved it...my daughter is going here too...never had any issues!!! I'd recommend Mr Hutson to anyone.

Experiencia fantástica: The instructor was incredibly knowledgeable, good sense of humor and down to Earth. I was dreading having to take a defensive driving class to avoid points on my license but he actually made it fun and I truly did learn a lot. Highly recommended, I hope he’s still teaching when my boys are learning to drive!

Experiencia fantástica: Mr Hutson makes the Driver's Improvement Class seem much shorter than it is. You don't want to be sitting in his class all day Saturday. The court/DMV required it... Now it's where you are. But, Gary makes it go by quickly. He's very knowledgeable and friendly. This class could be quite painful and boring, but Gary breaks it up with friendly conversation and relates class subject matter to real world scenarios. I entered into the class with low expectations, but was very pleasantly surprised. Gary's website is a bit dated. The class is $65 (prepay) or $80 day of class now. Structure wise, you get a couple "smoke breaks" and a lunch break. It's equal amounts video/conversational setting. I'd recommend Blue Ridge Driving School to anyone in need of any of their offered services solely based on Gary's personality and knowledge. Thanks to Gary for knowing how to connect with his students.

Experiencia fantástica: One of the most knowledgeable instructors in the state. Super understanding and not to mention an instructor with a great sense of humor.

Experiencia negativa: Just gave a call to the driving school and the gentleman who answered the phone was rude! I felt like he didn’t have the time of day to answer any questions that I had for a new driver in the family. I wouldn’t recommend calling this company if they are going to be this rude over the phone, also I wouldn’t want my daughter driving with him behind the wheel if he were to have the same attitude!

Experiencia fantástica: Instructor is engaging and accommodating. i prepaid and signed up in one quick phone call, showed up on Saturday and got this chore out of the way. Very professional. Any bad reviews are probably from frustrated DUI class registrants that failed to do the right thing (again).

He told me I could prepay for my class and then I could go to any class I wanted, got forced to work and called him let him know I'd be attending the following Saturday. He told me no I lose my money and got very rude and hung up. So he got my money and refused to let me to to another class. I ended up going to another school and had to pay again! GO TO ANOTHER SCHOOL HE ISN'T WORTH YOUR STRESS!!!
