SAGE Truck Driving Schools - CDL Training in Rome

Experiencia fantástica: Having an excellent experience so far. They accommodated my night availability for classes and drives. The instructors are top notch. Even though I have experience with manual and trailers, I was humbled doing maneuvers with a 53 footer and the instructors here helped me every step of the way in learning styles that worked for me. Even when I was sick and couldn't make a drive the management/scheduling team here accommodated me with no issues. You gotta put in the work and they're not going to babysit you but that's the way it should be to learn the fastest. I ask questions and make dumb mistakes and the instructors have no problem helping me out. Excellent experience and I would recommend for anyone including friends and family looking to get a CDL license! I'll never forget this place. Not a single negative issue and I'm a week away from my road test. Thank you!

Experiencia fantástica: I had an amazing experience with Sage Trucking School. I’m the guy who didn’t know a single thing about engines, I haven’t driven a manual shift in 20 years, and I came to the school based on the recommendation of a friend who has been a trucker for 20 years. It was literally the most stressful, uphill curve I have ever climbed— but the staff was super supportive of me and today I passed my CDL A manual, licensing test! Thanks to the very supportive, amazing community at this school. A big huge shout out to Mike, Colt, Jason, Wyatt, Melanie, and our fearless sarcastic leader Jen for all of the cheerleading and support— ! I have amazing driving skills, but I was sooo anxious on the test— by far my lamest most unnatural drive EVER— but I didn’t make any major mistakes and I passed! I owe a huge debt of gratitude to these people, and to my classmate John who was a helicopter mechanic in the army and crawled under the truck for two hours to explain to me how engines work! I’m really glad I opened up about all the anxiety and trouble I was having, because these people were like a family to me throughout the whole experience! I literally cannot believe how well I can safely drive a tractor trailer thanks to Sage!!! Please keep the one on one instructor to student ratio going— it is SO important.

Experiencia negativa: They don't follow the NYS basic education requirements. Foreigners can't even red/ speak good English but Sage fudges paperwork to get students money. So much wrong with female director from Camp Hill. It's all smoke and morrors

Experiencia fantástica: I enrolled at Sage because it was recommended by management at UPS. My experience there will have me recommend Sage as well. The staff are clearly happy with their careers there. They have a genuine interest in their students success. It's mostly one-on-one training with highly experienced professionals. The value is the best in CNY. They have recently added a new range/yard that is very wide open for quality practice drives. I successfully completed my training but, I studied. It takes commitment and dedication. If your committed you can attain.

Experiencia negativa: I am currently studying here. The promise is 4-5 weeks however they made it 8 weeks. I am done with in class training and waiting for the behind the wheels training. The class is in The hallway. Do not expect much form the classes. I KNOW THEY WILL SAY I WAS NOT paying attention much. One time I called and informed them due to the weather and issue with my car I may arrive 30 minutes late. Yet they complain about how I was late. There should be more understanding especially in Winter season.

Experiencia positiva: Pros: Great trainers great education passed on my first go. Cons: office never answers the phone that's listed and take days to return your call for business. So if you get in it's great and everyone is great but I don't know how they do busniess not answering their phone
