Driver’s education is a state requirement for all 15 & 16 year-old students who would like to obtain a Louisiana Learners Permit. All driving schools are required to teach for 30 hours in the classroom and provide a FULL 8 HOURS of actual driving instruction. Students that are 14 and 9 months old can now take the 38 hour driver education class. Behind the wheel training cannot be done until your 15th birthday.

We offer the Louisiana 38 hour driving class for all 15, 16 & 17 year old students and also offer a 14 hour pre-licensing class for students who are 18 and older.

At Cenla Driving Academy we have been in business for over 28 years. All of our drivers are fully certified and accredited to teach drivers education. At Cenla Driving Academy we have been known throughout the community to provide decades of excellent education, value and customer service for all of our students. We offer the Louisiana 38 hour driving class for all 15, 16 & 17 year old students and also offer a 14 hour pre-licensing class for students who are 18 and older. To register, simply click on the appropriate class you wish to enroll in and fill out the required fields.

You must first obtain a T.I.P from the office of motor vehicles. Once you have it, come by our office with a parent to fill out some quick paperwork before the 1st day of class.

Experiencia negativa: The classroom part was okay, I didn’t learn very much that I didn’t already know. The part that I had a problem with was the road test. The instructor was very weird, and made me feel very uncomfortable all 4 days I was driving. Also, the first say i drove , i wore shorts and the next day i wore pants and he made a comment about how I didn’t wear pants the next day. It seemed odd to me how he recognized what I was wearing after having 4 students after me.

Experiencia negativa: Literally the worst experience over the phone I have ever had. I asked if they do motorcycle endorsements, and was rudely told no, and then they instantly hung up on me. Will never go here for any of my needs

Experiencia fantástica: Sweet polite and helpful employees. A wonderful place to bring your children to have an opportunity for successfully succeeding in getting their driver's license permit while knowing they honestly care and love the job they do. 4 kids of mine personally successfully completing their tests. Instructors were amazing. Mrs. Belinda is a sweetheart.
