Experiencia fantástica: I’m an adult driver with a foreign license and went to FGL for my 8-hour road safety class, a driving “refresher” class and my road test. Everything went very smoothly, great communication and great instruction. The road test with a DMV agent took 15 minutes, tops, and we took a route I was familiar with due to my driving class. I highly recommend FGL if you are looking to obtain an American license!

Experiencia fantástica: A MUST. Cannot recommend enough. My suggestion is to do the 30 hour course. They teach you exactly what you need to know for the road test- including back in, K turn, etc. Taking the road test at FGL is a breeze. You take it in the Green Light car and the route is much easier than at the DMV.

Experiencia negativa: A horrendous experience. Lack of communication. I had an appointment at 10am and did not take my test until 12:45. Had to miss my school classes. They never have an exact time for their appointments and are extremely unreliable. There were other parents and kids waiting for over 3 hours to take their road test and everything was disorganized and nobody new the whereabouts of the supposed instructors that were going to come. Very disappointed because I had only heard great things about this facility.

Experiencia fantástica: Great job in classes and in-car driving lessons were very good. The DMV official was very difficult over starting the road test with construction in the area and Green Light people were able to quickly relocate the test to another nearby location. Honestly, I think the DMV official just didn't want to give the tests that day and dug up a reason. Green Light handled it incredibly well and quickly. This was especially important since it was over February break so it was one of the few times kids could take the test without missing school.

Experiencia positiva: My son learned so much from the Fresh Green Light classes! He was teaching or reminding us of driving tips from every class. Eilene was the most thorough instructor, in the classroom and on the road. We are extremely confident with our son's driving ability after completing Fresh Green Light Driving School (Darien). As soon as he acquired his license, he began solo driving on the highway from Darien to Fairfield, at least 4 times a week, and we felt secure in his abilty to safely handle the car, in all types of weather. The in-classroom instruction was invaluable and thorough while the on-road instruction was handled by very experienced and patient adults. The added convenience of taking the road test right at the Darien FGL location rather than at the DMV was a huge convenience. While this course wasn't inexpensive, the lessons are priceless.

Experiencia fantástica: I used FGL for my older son and again for my 16 year old. I learned that it can save a lot of aggravation and its always good for a child to hear from another adult. While it is not cheap - its almost a wash with insurance - so it end up being a good deal. Taking the road test with FGL instead of the DMV is also a very wise option.

Experiencia fantástica: FGL was a terrific program. Starting from the day my son got his permit, we were able to map out a plan to fit all the classes into OUR schedule and make sure he completed everything on time. Further, the staff at FGL stayed on top of us to make sure we completed all paperwork and classes in ample time for the road test. My son liked all the driving instructors and he never complained about taking any of the classes--wow! I will be contacting FGL in two years when my daughter has to start up the classes. Oh, and the fact that they will pick your child up from school and bring them home, or pick them up from home or wherever for the driving lessons is SO convenient! With 3 kids to drive around all the time, it was really nice to take that off the schedule!

Class hours very convenient, locations convenient and ability to pick up a missed class at another location made it very easy to complete in a reasonable amount of time. In car instruction was done with out my having to pick up and drop off and the instructor took my son out in all types of driving situations. Was a great experience - highly recommend.

Experiencia fantástica: As "boring" as my teenager said the classroom lessons were, he would spit out information during our drives that surprised me. The quality of in class and in car lessons was impressive. Yes, booking drives online could be difficult at times, but I found that if you contacted the Greenlight crew, they would bend over backwards to work with you. Numerous times we had to change something, and their attitude was always, "no problem!" My one suggestion would be for the parents to take the parent class early on in this process. VERY informative! It will help when you're teaching your child.

Experiencia positiva: Good overall, but just found out road test is $50 more expensive if you take it in Greenwich than in Darien! Doesn't seem quite right, does it?

Experiencia fantástica: Fresh Green Light is probably the best driving school I possibly could have gone too, they where really really nice, knoweldgeable, helpful, and generally just good at teacher, I probably learned more useful information over the six months I went to their classes than I did over the course of four years of high school and I'm definitely glad I went there for lessons.

From the first lesson to the road test I felt confident that my son was in good hands. It is more expensive than some of the other driving schools but well worth it.
