Experiencia negativa: I sent my first child and will not be sending the others. I have never met a bigger bully of in instructor in my life. Tell me child how horrible they doing and when I ask what needs improvement I’m told that they are where they should be. This instructor has a god complex and I wouldn’t let him train a dog. I’ll be going somewhere else in the future.

Experiencia positiva: A strict, but mainly fair teacher. He makes sure the students understand the importance of driving safety and the rules of the road. Highly recommend.

We are so happy we decided to put our son, Austin, in this course and would recommend him to anyone. Mr. Musilek is dedicated and takes great care to put safe drivers out on the road - not only for them, but for everyone.

If you want your teenager to not just pass but to be a good defensive driver, go with DDS!! I highly reccomend the tune up course the week of their road test! Both passed with only 1 pt off!

Experiencia fantástica: I have sent all three of my boys through this program as I felt it was the strongest program available and not only teaches students how to drive but to do it defensively and has the best chance of keeping them safe on the road. I strongly feel that my oldest son used the knowledge that he learned in class to avoid what would have been a much more horrible accident had he not taken that class. I'm confident that students are not learning nearly as much in other programs. The instructor, Al Musilek, takes his job so seriously that he got a Master's of Education in Traffic Safety. He takes the safety of each student to heart and wants to make sure they are fully equipped to navigate the roads as safely as possible. This is an incredibly high quality program and I advise you to only send your children HERE! You won't be disappointed!

Experiencia fantástica: We have sent 4 sons through Mr. Musilek's program so far and couldn't be happier. I'm impressed with our sons' attention to detail and knowledge of all the road rules which they acquired through DDS. That gives me peace of mind when they are out driving. They've all told me that their friends who went through other programs didn't learn as much. I just hope that Mr. Musilek sticks it out another 5 years and can teach our last child also.

Both curriculums provided them with what they needed to be successful at Behind-the-Wheel. Mr. Musilek and Mr. Swedlund are awesome !!!! Experiencia fantástica: Great driver's ed class! My husband and I have 4 children that enrolled in Defensive Driving Specialists and 3 of them successfully obtained their driver's licenses. The 4th one dropped out last minute because work was more of a priority for her, however, Mr. Musilek was nice enough to allow us to apply her downpayment towards one of our other children's balance. Mr. Musilek was awesome! He communicated regularly and is very passionate about safe driving. He was honest when he didn't think one of our kids was ready to safely drive on her own and recommended more practice within or outside of driver's ed. She wasn't happy about his suggestion, but as parents, we appreciated his honesty (for her safety as well as others). She received more practice outside of driver's ed and obtained her license. He even gave us a family discount. I'd recommend his class for anyone!

Experiencia fantástica: We have used DDS for our oldest daughter. She elected to choose online classes to fit with her busy sport schedule. She learned a lot and passed her driver's test on the first try! He is very organized and answers all questions right away. We plan to enroll our middle daughter too.

Experiencia fantástica: For starters, Defensive Driving Specialists (DDS) did an excellent job preparing our son for his driver's test. He felt confident and prepared and passed with flying colors. More importantly, we feel like he is prepared to be a good defensive driver for years to come. We decided to go with the traditional classroom training instead of online and were happy with our choice. Our son was actively involved in classroom discussions and developed a good rapport with the instructor. As parents, we were exceptionally impressed with the communication from Mr. Musilek and the other instructors. There were very few questions (because the emails were so informative) and when we did have a question, we received a prompt response. Email updates were sent to parents during the classroom training keeping us updated on progress and encouraging student participation. DDS also offers a "refer a friend" program. Unbeknownst to us, one of our friends enrolled their son and listed us a reference. Needless to say, we were pleasantly surprised to open the mailbox one day and receive a check from DDS!! Finally, if you do decide to go with DDS, be sure you check with your insurance company. Ours offered a pretty significant discount because our son participated in a defensive driving course like the one DDS offers. We highly recommend Defensive Driving Specialists! Thank You!!

Experiencia fantástica: Mr. Musilek has taught both my husband and myself and now our 19 and 16 year old children-both took the classroom version. Teaching people to be safe, defensive drivers is his passion. He will not compromise someone's safety.

Experiencia fantástica: I did not get the chance to take the online course itself from DDS, so I came into behind the wheel with Mr. Musilek very unprepared, as the program I learned from (CESA) was mildly sub par. Luckily for me, the instructors and environment of DDS helped me to improve my driving. I passed the road test on my first try with only three points off. Ms Sarah Fulks, my instructor, was very kind and instructive, and kept a professional atmosphere while still allowing room for enjoyment. Overall my experience with DDS was a great one and I appreciate all that they have done for me. My brother is now taking the online course at DDS and he seems to be much more prepared for BTW than I was. I am certain that by the time he gets to BTW he will be more than ready to begin driving.

Experiencia fantástica: I have had 2 children go through his classes. One took the traditional class and the other took the online version. Both were great experiences. He went above and beyond to be sure that the boys could take their tests on their birthdays. He laid out the expectations of the class and expected that they be followed. My youngest will also be taking class with him.

Experiencia fantástica: I have had 3 children complete Driver’s Ed with Defensive Driving Specialist. My 2 oldest did the traditional in class course and my youngest took the online course. Both did a wonderful job of preparing my children for the responsibilities of operating a vehicle. Plan ahead to get a class and behind the wheel schedule that will work for your busy life. Would definitely recommend DDS to anyone looking for a Driver’s Ed instructor.

Experiencia fantástica: Excellent teacher. I have had two children go thru the classroom style and one online. He is strict with his teaching making sure the students get the seriousness of this privilege of driving and understand that it’s not just their driving but everyone else on the road and unexpected decisions which he prepares the students to encounter. Defensive driving is the best way of learning to drive. He cares about his students and is very willing to work with you on becoming the best driver you can be. He’s strict but patient and I highly recommend his classes.

Experiencia fantástica: Two of my children have taken Mr. Musilek’s course. My son did the online version, because it fit into his schedule. My daughter took the traditional classroom course, which I think is best if you don’t have a scheduling conflict. I highly recommend this course for your teen. Mr. Musilek truly cares about the kids and wants them to be safe drivers. He was always very responsive via text, email, or phone if there was any issue we needed to discuss.

Experiencia fantástica: I have had two students go thru Mr. Musilek's class (Defensive Driving Specialist LLC). My eldest who is now 29 and my recent 16 year old. My daughter had the traditional going and sitting in class to be taught and my son did the on-line course. Either way you take the course Mr. Musilek was accessible to answer questions and help if there was any struggling with passing a lesson or understanding the material. Was apprehensive to do the on-line course but after discussing with instructor felt confident my student would get as much as if sitting in class, very strict guidelines to do the on-line course but after my son completed the on-line course, I understand why Mr. Musilek has these guidelines and follows them to a T..... Would recommend Defensive Driving Specialists LLC to any new person wanting to learn to drive.

Experiencia negativa: I am so very frustrated with this driver's ed course. Today was the last straw. my son took the online course and then seemed to have to wait aged after receiving his practice permit before behind the wheel. The schedule for that was less than stellar giving no good options to work with family vacation and summer camps requiring us to pay for extra lessons. To put icing on the cake went today for the road test and after a miserablly long wait at DMV for the test my son's driver's ed certfication wasn't in the system and could not be corrected for several more hours. Nice after already spending HOURS in the DMV. So now I have have to make more time for yet another trip to the DMV.

Experiencia fantástica: First, I would like to start out letting you know know that I was a personal injury paralegal for over 10 years and have worked my share of automobile cases that would leave you in tears. So many of our youth have been lost to carelessness and recklessness that it makes me sad. Not only does the personal loss hurt, but in the wake of these horrific accidents of loss, comes the financial burden of liability. So, my husband and I decided that our kids would learn how to drive not only smart but defensively and prayerfully avoid that senario. As a result, my son, who is now a college sophomore, learned to drive through classes with DDS and Alan Musilek, the owner and instructor. I am happy to say he is an excellent driver with a great driving record. Unfortunately, he has been in two accidents, neither of which was his fault. With both of these accidents, the police on the scene told my son that he couldn't have done anything different to avoid the accident. When my husband and I heard this from the police we were very happy with our decision to enroll him and entrust him to learn through this company. Now I will tell you that these classes are not for the faint of heart. The kids who learn to drive at this school are taught to take this learning responsibility seriously. And why shouldn't they take this responsibility seriously! Driving a vehicle that weighs anywhere from 3,000 to 5,000 pounds is a HUGE responsibility....life and death is in the hands of that person behind the wheel. So, I highly recommend this school to any parent who wants their child to learn to drive responsibly and defensively. I know that this choice cost more money....but is it even possible to put a price tag on the loss of a loved one.

Experiencia negativa: This man is a hypocrite! I've seen him on multiple occasions using his phone while driving the vehicle designated for drivers education!!! He will tell the parents and students one thing, but trust me he is no different than any other business owner, he cares not about the kids, he likes to make you think that, but it's all about the $$$ PRACTICE WHAT YOU PREACH!!!!!
