The instructor did show up at your home ready to provide the lesson. Your son asked if it was safe to drive and the instructor told him it was ok and he wouldn't do the lesson if it was not safe but the decision was ultimately up to your son. The instructor did not tell your son to reschedule. He let your son know that since there was a lot he wanted to work on, they would probably spend most of the lesson in the neighborhood where he might feel more comfortable. We would never perform a driving lesson if the conditions were dangerous. Practicing in snow in Michigan is a great experience when done with a professional instructor. However we will not force someone to drive if they do not want to but the late cancellation fee does apply if the customer refuses the service.
