Experiencia fantástica: Ruben with SafeWay is a great guy. We had some worries about my son passing his driving test and Ruben had us send him the paper work to ensure it was correct. He also coached us on what my son should do and what he needs to be aware of. Since we already had a driving test appointment through DPS my son went ahead and took it and thankfully passed. Ruben was a huge help in walking us through everything and am confident he made the difference in my son passing his driving test.

Ruben always has a fun story to tell and Tameka knows how to explain things simply! I would recommend this for your teen to learn to drive. Great customer service. Great quality lessons.

Experiencia fantástica: Completely worth it. They’ve taught two of my kids driver’s Ed and not only have they done a great job, but you can take the drivers test with them and they’ll walk you through everything you need to have successful first visits to the dmv.

Experiencia fantástica: I could not have had a better experience with Safeway. After a bad experience with the DPS, I scheduled a driving test here! It is most definitely worth the price. You get to use their vehicle for the test, and Ruben is a calm and encouraging instructor. Customer service was also very helpful. 5 stars, would recommend to anyone!

Experiencia fantástica: College Station Location was an incredibly positive experience for my son. When I first called, Ruben (the Mgr) happened to answer and he demonstrated so much patience with the volume of questions I asked (the process with TX DMV, Safeway ) that I was surprised he was the Manager! I had called around To various schools at that time and ultimately chose BCS Location because of how well Ruben communicated what TX requires, their process, and the fact he wasn’t trying to force me to sign with his school to get the information. He provided it freely and was very kind. In fact because Ruben took time to provide details on TX document requirements, we had everything we needed for the Learners permit process at DMV. Ruben was very knowledgeable and that’s why it was a smooth process That’s an important point because when we were at DPS, I saw a few teens that were unable to complete the application due to not having appropriate documents. Due to all the above, I chose BCS and on the first drive, my son had Lyndie and hit it off with her (her honest feedback delivered in a way that a teen responds well too). Parents of teens know that the learning doesn’t happen if the teen doesnt feel heard and Lyndie did a phenomenal job connecting and communicating requirements and areas practice needed. I want to commend this location on how well they communicate. It was a far better experience than I could anticipate, and I highly recommend Safeway BCS to teens and adults needing the drive hours, instructions or test.

Experiencia negativa: I am really hoping that when I take the driving classes I will have no problems because when I called the place to ask for help I got an extremely rude guy who was basically making me feel like an absolute idiot and I had a very valid question. It almost made me not want to book here because I sure don’t need someone judging me while I’m trying to learn how to drive.

Experiencia fantástica: SafeWay Driving, with drivers courses, behind the wheel training and safety course options, is the best driver school in terms of customer service as well as experiences and competence of instructors. I tried to contact other schools in the Bryan - College Station area before starting school with SafeWay Driving. They were so welcoming and supportive to trainees. Their private trainers are patient and are willing to work with trainees in their convenient times and transport modalities. They tell trainees the key tricks and tips to help them become safe drivers. They administer the test under a stress free environment and letting the new drivers know all they are required to know by the law. I recommend this school for all young and adult drivers who want to become safe drivers with all the responsibilities for theirs and others' safeties, that is the very identity and culture of SafeWay Driving School.

Experiencia negativa: I have not had the wonderful experience with Safeway as others have described. I enrolled my nephew in the program and have struggled with scheduling drive time for him. He had 1 hour left, and I was constantly checking the schedule to get it done but there were never times available that he could attend. When there was a slot open, it was during school hours, which doesn’t work for a 15 year old. Well, I wasn’t able to get that last hour scheduled and now his deadline has passed. I know the only way to get it done is to pay even more money for the extension fee. Any time I do try to reach out to someone at the local office for assistance, it takes days to get back to me and it just turns into a game of phone tag. I had to call the main number for help and they were extremely rude. It’s been so frustrating and I completely regret choosing this option. I would not recommend.

Experiencia fantástica: We took the driving test with Safeway and had an amazing experience. My son returned beaming because his experience was so positive. Rueben is a wonderful instructor, helping everyone to feel at ease, yet providing the instruction in a professional manner. Had I known the driving instruction would be so good, we probably would have used Safeway from the beginning.

Experiencia fantástica: Can’t say enough wonderful things about Safeway driving experience for my daughter. We were hit while sitting at an intersection in May 2020. We were out of town with injuries and a totaled truck. Since then learning to drive for her was riddled with anxiety until I signed her up with Safeway Driving BCS! Professional, Experienced, Patient and Caring Instructors!! Highly Recommend SafeWay Driving BCS!!!!

Experiencia fantástica: 4th child going through Safeway-- second at this location and I cannot say enough good things about Safeway, but especially this location and the user-friendly staff. They have a can-do attitude and care that drivers get an excellent experience and at the end of the day become safe drivers. Highly recommend.

Experiencia negativa: Due to the convenient location, SafeWay was the first option in helping my son obtain his license. Ruben served as the driving instructor and deserves a five star rating, however the rest of our experience with this company was unfortunately not on the same level as Ruben. Communication with the main office consisted of weeks playing phone tag. Some reps such as Susan were helpful and knowledgeable, but other reps such as Joe were not as helpful. He even used “Jesus Christ” in frustration and became so flustered that I just ended the phone call to limit my time wasted. Communicating with the local office was also frustrating. We called during business hours, but it always seemed to be at the worst time. They seemed distracted and unorganized. We tried texting however the details and information that we needed in a timely manner made texting ineffective and we walked away disappointed. I may pay again for Ruben’s instruction for my daughter and just hope office interactions are minimized.

Experiencia fantástica: Safeway driving school was the best teaching experience I had to learn how to drive. Ruben & rest of the staff really takes care of you and teach you all the right things to make you a safe driver. I learnt alot from them and highly recommend it to anyone!

Experiencia fantástica: The two hours behind the wheel experience is so great! I had Trenica Foley as my personal trainer and she was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. She was very patient, calm, and insightful. I would suggest Safeway to anyone wanting to learn how to drive!

Experiencia positiva: I recently finished a online drivers ed course with Safeway and my experiences have been nothing but positive. It was a relatively easy course and they ensured you understood the material and didn't allow you to move on until you got the right answers. I enjoyed using it the only reason why I'm giving 4 stars is because the customer service is bad. I have called the customer service line several times and have been told the lines are too busy. They do get back at you in a timely manner but the person on the other line sounds like they dread life, I asked my questions and he gave attitude in several of his comments which I didn't appreciate. Other than that, i do recommend SafeWay to anyone that needs to get their drivers ed done but when it comes to their customer service line they need to ensure their employees don't sound like they hate their life.

They were thorough and professional all the way. The most important part of this experience was the communication, professionalism and compassion they showed new drivers.

Experiencia fantástica: We are very happy with SafeWay. We have done parent taught and Austin Driving school with other children, but were so excited when SafeWay opened close to us. Specifically because I didn't have to rearrange and coordinate schedules in order to get our son there...they came to pick him up and brought him home! They were so friendly and accommodating to us when we needed to schedule and reschedule his drives. AND he was even able to take his test with SafeWay. I am all about convenience. And most importantly, I feel like he was prepared when he was finished. It is worth every penny!

Experiencia negativa: Don’t ever try to contact them using their customer service number. They are rude and impatient. They will give you other numbers for you to call around but refused to help you like they cannot do it through their computer. I tried to call twice and both times they gave me the worst attitude ever! I must say that they are not well trained and that they give different answers every time you call.

Experiencia fantástica: My son took his Road Test through Safeway and it was the easiest process. We sent everything in online, they approved the paperwork, scheduled our appt. After he passed they gave us a sealed envelope to take with us to DPS and BAM it was done! So much more convenient and stress-free rather than waiting months for an appointment at the DPS office. I would highly recommend Safeway Driving in College Station for your teens!
