Experiencia fantástica: This camp was always the highlight of my summer growing up. I’ve been going here since I was 8 years old and couldn’t have picked a better place to give myself better opportunities around amazing people. The staff is patient and welcoming, the learning process is thought through. The campers never fail to keep camp fun. With all the different activities to do along with the best one being motocross this is definitely the camp any kid would want to come too!! Photos attached are one of my first summers there to the most recent!

Experiencia fantástica: I went to this camp when I was a kid. Always had a blast and have good memories. Now that I'm older I just bought my first streetbike. Parents beware: your kid will grow up with an expensive hobby and zero regrets.

Experiencia fantástica: When my now-16 year old son went to a summer camp fair as a toddler, his eyes almost popped out of his head when he saw the dirtbikes. He patiently waited until he was old enough (extra long because his birthday is right after summer) and then went to Iron Horse every year until he has now aged out. His younger brother joined him as soon as he was old enough. We LOVE Iron Horse! It is so well run that I am sure it is the safest camp I have ever put them in. It is also a blast!

Experiencia fantástica: Can't say enough good things about this camp. We have two girls and were a little nervous to send them for a week with a bunch of boys, but they made them feel completely at home. The staff takes kids' safety seriously and at the same time are very friendly. Our girls were literally crying as soon as they got home because they already missed being there. Such a gem!

Experiencia fantástica: Iron Horse is an absolutely fantastic operation run by phenomenal people. It was the first time my daughter had ever been on a dirt bike and they did an amazing job teaching, coaching, and getting her to fall in love with it. From pricing, to facilities, to equipment, I highly recommend them!

Experiencia fantástica: Our son very much enjoyed his summer camp. Owners are super nice. Our son has so many food allergies and they took care of him so nice. He never felt left out with snacks or other meals. He cant wait to go back

Experiencia fantástica: My son has attended Iron Horse for at least 6 years and he loves it. He started when he was 7 with absolutely no riding experience at all, and Mr. Turner and the staff took great care of him. My son loves this camp and the friendships he has made. For the past two years he has been fortunate enough to be able to attended overnight camp, and says that it is even more fun because of the extra riding time and nighttime activities. If your looking for a great camp that gets your kids off their phones and away from the video games look into Iron Horse!

Experiencia fantástica: Best money I've ever spent as a parent. HANDS DOWN. The staff is absolutely incredible and the ranch is gorgeous. My 9-yr-old son would literally try to go to bed as soon as it got dark just for the morning to come quicker. He's already trying to get his friends and step-brother to join him next year.

Experiencia fantástica: My son does not get many options and has always hated any camp. This is the first camp he has loved and talks about all the time. He started making plans immediately for how to go next year. He had no experience at all and never felt he wasn't good enough. Thank you to all that make this happen.

Experiencia fantástica: This place it GREAT! My son begs me to go each summer. If he had his way, he'd spend ALL summer here! He's 10, and has the goal of working here as a camp counselor when he's old enough. The entire staff is so wonderful, they've made it incredibly easy for us to attend from so far away. My son takes a bus from Steiner Ranch each day.

Experiencia fantástica: My son has gone the last two summers and loves it. Safe (they take great care to keep the kids safe considering they are on motorcycles - lots and lots of safety training and all about control of the bike.) Mr. and Mrs. Turner run a great camp!!!!

Experiencia fantástica: What an amazing opportunity Iron Horse Ranch and the Turners provide! My son attended for the second year this summer. First year we attended via the train from downtown Austin. Year two we did the overnight camp. My son actually asked if he could ride the train instead of staying overnight, but after experiencing the overnight camp we are planning our future around future camps and ride days! He doesn't care how he gets there, he just wants to get there! The camp is organized, focused on safety, encourages teamwork, having fun. The Turners are wonderful and pour so much into the camp and these kiddos. Great confidence builder, great leverage for getting them to behave :) (they will be on there best behavior so they can attend), safely done outdoor activities. End of the week ride demonstration your kiddo will perform for you will be a highlight of your summer. Figure out how to fit this into your kiddos summer! They will love it!

Experiencia fantástica: My daughter has gone to this camp for the last 7 years. It is her favorite. She has blossomed there. She is a level 5 all star cheerleader with many commitments to her team but always made time for Iron Horse Country Ranch Camp. She goes 3 weeks each summer and is a junior counselor now. SHE LOVES THIS CAMP AND THE TURNERS!!!

Experiencia fantástica: My son had so much fun at this camp. I was very satisfied with his care at the ranch. Each time I picked him up from drop off, I watched the camp instructor safely walk all the kids across the street making sure the cars stopped.

Experiencia fantástica: Our 11 yo son LOVED this camp. My husband and I work downtown so it's not always easy finding a camp that works with our schedules. Iron Horse picks up kids at 7:30am at the downtown light rail station (coach rides with them) and they drop off at 5pm from a city bus near 6th and Lavaca. He learned a lot, made new friends and is excited to go back next year. Highly recommend!

Experiencia fantástica: My son absolutely loves this camp and looks forward to going back every summer. He has become a good, safe rider and has gradually taken on more responsibility which has been a big confidence builder.

Experiencia fantástica: Iron Horse Country is by far the best camp experience our son has ever had. First time we did not get a call from a counselor, because he was super motivated by the whole experience. We highly recommend this camp and the Turners are wonderful people. Our son is hooked on dirt bikes, which is a nice change from hooked on video games.

Experiencia fantástica: Best summer camp in Austin for 8 to 15 year old boys hand downs. Creates confidence and Mr. T the Owner and Director is patience and helpful. The provided bus is clutch! For us living in Westlake we were able to drive to the elementary at 2222 and 620 for pickup and drop off. The kids there also were kind to my Son in every way. That makes a massive difference. Safety is preached and taught. Dirt bikes are cooler than video games and Iphones. For a Father hoping to raise a young man in life book this camp. His Mom needed convincing but was very pleased. Cant recommend enough. One of the pics posted shows a hand written thank you note my son gave me! First Id ever received.

Experiencia fantástica: This is hands down my son’s favorite summer camp. He has been to three week long camps and many ride days. Every visit to Iron Horse ends with him happy. I love that the camp focuses on safety and team work. The staff is very accommodating and friendly. They even take the time to take lots of pictures throughout the week so you can see what your child was up to. You and your child will love coming here year after year.

Experiencia fantástica: My boys LOVE LOVE LOVE coming to dirtbike camp each summer. It is absolutely one of the highlights! They have since encouraged a friend and a cousin to come too. I love it because they are OUTSIDE... they are meeting new kids... and quite frankly, the more time my boys can have understanding how to use the power of an engine properly before they get behind the wheel of a car the better!

Experiencia fantástica: Mr Turner, his family, Andrew, and all staff have made this a hit of my son's summer for going on 7 years. Iron Horse offers an awesome experience to safely learn to ride motorcycles, as well as providing an outdoor experience on an amazing ranch with guys and gals all sharing the same passion for riding. My only warning is to be prepared for your child to come home requesting a motorcycle, a ranch, and wanting to spend the entire upcoming summer at Iron Horse. Treat your child to this wonderful experience, it will not disappoint.

It's a beautiful place, the kids couldn't be more excited and happy to be at camp, but mostly, it's what they take away from here that lives on long after their experience. We've heard back from lots of campers over the years about what Iron Horse has meant to them...the older they get the more profound the words. As "Camp Mom" aka "Lunch Lady", I encourage any parent seeking a unique summer camp for their child to consider this one.

Experiencia fantástica: My friend is the assistant director and they’re doing great things with this program. They encourage the kids to be outside and make friends. They also teach integrity and responsibility during the process of learning to ride dirt bikes safely. I see more and more people interested in the program and I have loved watching them continue to grow! You won’t be disappointed.

Experiencia fantástica: The best day camp! My son loves this camp more than anything! His first time he had zero experience with dirt bikes. The experienced staff teaches your kid everything they'll need to know and their confidence goes though the roof!

Experiencia fantástica: We LOVE LOVE LOVE this camp. My son went in 2016 when he was 8. Youngest you can go. He was so small and I was so nervous however the safety and the instructors were phenomenal. We are going back this summer and each summer until he ages out. I HIGHLY recommend camp iron horse!!!

Experiencia fantástica: Best camp in Texas! And they have pick up and drop off. My son started at 13 and went back every spring break and summer for 4 years, Came home exhausted every day. He got more responsibility each year, and really learned a lot working with Mr Turner and his great team.

Experiencia fantástica: My son is 12 now and is going back to Iron Horse this summer for his 3rd year in a row. He could not stop talking about it when he got home from camp each day. He loved the staff and now has his own dirt bike and is amazing on it. I recommend it for both girls and boys and if you don't know how to ride a dirt bike don't worry because you learn at your own speed. So check it out - it is the best camp he's ever done!
