Private motorcycle lessons at $150 per hour, including motorcycle, helmet and gas. Also rentals starting at $50 per day. Learn more!
If you can ride a bicycle, there is a high probability that you will ride a motorcycle. In fact, we make it look easy, offer a - Results Or You Do Not Pay - guarantee and have a near 100% success rate.
Instructions are clear and simple and all controls are explained in beginner, non-technical terms. Results are achieved in a relatively short period of time, you will learn at your own pace and be surprised as to how much fun it can be.
$150 for a 2 hour session - includes use of Motorcycle, Helmet and Gas....... All sessions are 1:1 Private Instruction ...............Pay As You Go.............. Relaxed and friendly instructors who have been riding motorcycles for decades and are genuinely interested.
DMV Test for your M1 License. No Problem. We can guide you in the process, come to the DMV with you and Rent our Scooter or Motorcycle for this.
In short, everything you want to know and need to know with Motorcycle and Scooter Instruction. You will not be disappointed. Most of our students are surprised at the ease with the Methods in which we conduct our Training and how Quickly they gain Confidence and Control. In most cases, it takes about 4-5 hours or less.
The State Certified Course gives you a Certificate. This is a 15 hour Course and is conducted in a Group setting with 6 students to an instructor. We have the Highest Respect for the instructors here - They are some of the most dedicated and enthusiastic individuals we have met but even with all their dedication, there is a limit to how much they can effectively communicate in a group setting. The State also requires that all aspects of motorcycling are covered - This makes the Course an extremely time sensitive enterprise and can be overwhelming for an absolute beginner. Most students here have some motorcycling experience and they will roll along: but if you are stuck behind, then rarely are you assisted.
Nearly half our students have attended the Course and are here to get more clarity and practice. This is the smart thing to do as licensed does not necessary mean experienced. The smarter ones come before they attend the Course - Now you are not only stepping into the Course with a lot more confidence, but also be able to understand better the many subjects they cover.
We teach you only 2 things - How to Stop and How to Turn. Oh, we also emphasize on Slow Speed Riding, Slow Speed Turns, Use of Both Brakes, Fluidity in Changing Gears, Being in the Correct Gear, Higher Speed Braking, Uphill Starts and Riding with a Relaxed Posture.
We are also in the firm belief that you cannot learn a complex task if you are not comfortable. We do not want to be Drill Sergeants or deliver a boring lecture - We are here to have fun too and make you enjoy this experience.
Our training is designed to give you full control. The California DMV Motorcycle Skills Test is designed to test your ability to balance, control speed and change direction simultaneously. It is our strong opinion that all motorcyclists should be able to do this test easily, even if you have passed the Course. If not, then you have limited control on your motorcycle. Now, please understand, this Test is not easy and takes a certain amount of training and practice. But the time invested is making you a better motorcyclist.
There is no quick easy way to do this. Motorcycling may be the most dangerous activity you will ever do in your life. It is also more complex than learning to drive a car. There are more controls, the ability to balance and the use of strength and coordination.
Ask yourself the question - How long did it take you to learn how to drive? Well, this activity is more difficult. Also, did you learn in a group??
Motorcycling is "too many things at the same time" and that is exactly how we don't teach it. We teach you one thing/control at a time. Thus, instructions are not - Do this and then this and add this but don't do this. Instead you will hear words like - The only thing you will do is.... or We will do the same thing and then this.
We have created a unique Training System where we Isolate each Control. This makes you understand best what the purpose of each is and how it connects to the entire routine.
We call this - The One Drum Training System. We teach you a drum, let you practice and perfect it and then add another and another to finally make music.
Yes, you read right. What we do here is absolutely different from the other schools. If we don't see Results we evolve. We have done this so long that we know exactly what to and not to do and when to change things.
We get paid after the session. Not before. If you are not satisfied, you do not pay. Simple. Is this not what is called - A Win-Win Situation
Mother would be happier if you could come to a stop quicker - Everytime. We can get you into Second or Third Gear within the hour or earlier. Having said that, the real skill is to come to a Guaranteed Stop - Everytime. We build from a Slow Start to a Slow Stop on to Slow Speed and then to Turn Quicker and Lean more. Only if you are in control at a certain speed should you and will we ask you to go faster.
There is no point doing fractions if you do not know multiplication. On a motorcycle the results are more drastic than an incorrect answer.
On a regular basis, athletic males with good balance are now learning from scratch to side streets in 2 hours. After more than a decade of Motorcycle Instruction, we have simplified our training technique to a near science. Instructions are basic, the steps flow seamlessly and there is minimal effort for both - instructor and student.
Some outside instructors have got in "dummy" students, GoPros have been used and we have been studied from cars parked in the distance.
We save lives. We can only train a handful and in the Spirit of Sharing, this is an open invite to all Instructors, Associations, Research Organizations and Government Bodies - We will share our techniques. They are real simple and real effective. Contact us - We love to talk Motorcycle.
Our sessions are 2 hours each and we insist on not doing more than that. Fatigue sets in and it is best to come another day to improve muscle memory and clarify doubts.
Reach out and schedule at the earliest. Having said that, cancellations do pop up and we can do same day or next day sessions almost all the time.
We offer one-on-one lessons for everyone. From beginner to experienced. There is always room for improvement. Learn more
I'd like to thank you for your superb instruction during my first riding session with you yesterday. Your knowledge of riding and the way you present your lessons were extremely helpful.
I had a blast today and your instruction was patient and extremely beneficial. I went from knowing nothing to riding a motorcycle in less than two hours. Amazing.
I had a great time learning and woke up even hungrier to get back on and continue the process. I am looking forward to working out the fear factor of speed and control.
Ride 2 Ride Again: Opiniones
Experiencia fantástica: Expert teacher will have you feeling like a natural by the end of class
Experiencia fantástica: Learned so much on my first lesson and had a great time :D Thank you Ilyas!
Experiencia fantástica: I did 6 classes with Ilyas from October until recently. I can't recommend him enough. He helped me go from wobbling around in the motorcycle to picking up speed and knowing how to ride slow on a straight line with confidence. I felt like I could have used one or two more classes with him, but decided to take a leap and enroll in the riding safety course at Bartels' Harley. Because of everything I learned from Ilyas, I passed the riding course almost flawlessly. Best guy in town. It's worth the money!
Experiencia fantástica: Great to deal with and a good selection of bikes.
Experiencia negativa: I wish I could give this guy (liyas) a zero yet that was not among the choices. I was so excited when I thought I found a convenient place to simply take a refresher course. NOT! Terrible attitude & very unprofessional from the start. This person seems hard-up for cash & enjoys insulting women. There is only one instructor (liyas) & the offerings mentioned via the website do not really exist. No wonder he asks for CASH as preferred payment. The map link that is sent to you once you confirm an appointment directs you to a parking lot on the southside & not an actual business address. Oooh weeee I'm so glad I canceled my booking. As an native born Californian I gotta say supporting this wack tiny business would be a grievous mistake. There are plenty of other motorcycle training vendors & business in LA that would appreciate, welcome & properly treat ALL potential customers. Don't waste your time or money. Beware & steer clear.
This lady took insult when I refused to reschedule her after she cancelled an hour prior to the session. Her reason was she had a long day and was tired.
Most schools would ask for an advance and if you do not show up, you lose the money. I follow a Results Or You Do NOT PAY policy and get paid after the session. Most people take advantage of this and cancel last minute or No Show. To these people I simply do not reschedule. If you cannot show up, then I have no business with you.
Thus, I was threatened a bad review which you are reading. This does not faze me a bit as it is the norm for some customers to think that businesses will bend over backwards just to please them and hoping that the review will be taken off.
So, if you feel that you cannot make it to the time that you requested, then please do not schedule. There are others who are very keen to be a part of this training and value the service offered.

ride...2 ride again....
Experiencia fantástica: I recommend this class to any that is just starting out as a rider. I learned a lot from knowing nothing at all about bikes. Combining this with YouTube makes it easier to understand. Thanks!
Experiencia fantástica: Very good experience renting a bike there. Ilyas was here to help to the start until the end. The bike had already some miles but did the job very well for the roadtrip we did and we had no problems! (2500 km in one trip!) I recommend if you want to rent a motorbike to visit the surroundings. Ilyas is also a 2-wheel driving instructor. Do not hesitate I am sure that he will be able to accompany you.
Experiencia fantástica: Good people, excellent service. Unbeatable prices. I will definitely rent again.
Experiencia fantástica: I would say he is a great coach, he helped me a lot and made me feel calm and stress free. His way of teaching is great and makes you feel confident and he is very understanding. I highly encourage taking lessons from him.
Experiencia fantástica: Affordable rental prices, lovely people and was a wonder renting a motorcycle for a few days.
Experiencia fantástica: I've been riding since I was a teenager and I've had my motorcycle license for over 25 years. For a handful of years now, I have not had a motorcycle and I am planning to buy another one in the near future. I decided a refresher was a good idea but all the local courses I could find were for beginners and weren't a good fit for someone with experience looking to spend a few hours practicing and getting some tips from a seasoned teacher. Ilyas provided that service. We met in a Park and Pay location and for two hours he had me run through a number of basic exercises. My expectation was I'd simply be getting a quick refresher and be on my way - which would have been fine. The fun part of the training was Ilyas broke me of a bad habit I didn't even know I had. By then end of our time together not only was I completely comfortable riding again, but I also learned something new and was able to put it into immediate practice. I appreciated his teaching style, his constant feedback, and his focus on the details of my riding style. I recommend his service.
Experiencia fantástica: So far I've rented their fz07(2 times) and fz09 and every experience is great! There's no large deposit or extra fees, just pay for the day and off you go. I highly recommend them and they even lend you a helmet & jacket.
Experiencia fantástica: I highly recommend using there bikes good people and service.
Experiencia fantástica: Excellent service!! Totally recommend!!!
Experiencia fantástica: In short words - Ilyas is an amazing, intelligent, respectful & very patient instructor, Will absolutely highly recommend him to my family & friends. After reading tons of amazing reviews I decided to give Ilyas a call & not to go to a group class training school & so glad that I did. I am 48 but really young at heart, last rode motorcycle 28 years ago & mostly rode 70 - 100cc small bikes so I had a fear of heavy sports bikes. I told Ilyas that I am in the process of purchasing a motorcycle & will like to get training on my motorcycle, Ilyas agreed to give me lesson on my motorcycle but suggested to use his instead coz incase if I drop it, I won't mess up my new bike & I felt that was really thoughtful of him & agreed to use his bike instead. Lesson day came & was I nervous. I told Ilyas that I want to learn like I never rode before & saw a smile on his face. Wow! did he make learning simple for me, every step was like crafted especially for me, from sitting on the bike to putting into first gear, riding, balancing, maneuvering, braking, relaxing, he made riding so simple & so much fun that by the end of 2 hours I was riding so relaxed with so much confidence & I was so full of joy, the only regret I had why I didn't call Ilyas 20 years ago. I had booked a haul trailer to bring my motorcycle back after I purchase it & it was about 140 miles away but instead I decided to ride it back & ride I did, about an hour on streets & the rest on freeway. I am really thankful to Ilyas for his amazing teaching skills & the care he puts into teaching, He taught me how to ride again. Anyone reading this, look no further & give him a call. Thank you Mr Ilyas.
Experiencia fantástica: Highly recommended.
Experiencia fantástica: I rented my motorcycle for take my dmv motorcycle skill test! People are friendly and professional
Experiencia fantástica: Very easy process
Experiencia fantástica: Had a great experience renting a motorcycle from them. Ilayas was very knowledgable and helpful. I will chose them again during my next visit on a summer time . Thank you Ride2ride again.
Experiencia fantástica: Wonderful place with a very nice collection of motorcycles. These guys are awesome as well so I would reccomend to everyone. Cheers and keep up the good work.
Experiencia fantástica: Very helpful. Passed my motorcycle test on short notice. Highly recommend.
Experiencia fantástica: Best deal
Experiencia fantástica: Elijah is the greatest business owner I have spoke with, kind committed and a very nice guy
Experiencia fantástica: Great.
Experiencia fantástica: Rented 3 bikes (Rebel, Nighthawk, GW) for a full week and took back roads from LA to Sequoia National Park, Kings Canyon National Park, Yosemite National Park, San Francisco, and then back to LA. Owner was amazing to work with, and the overall experience was one of the best bike trips I have done.
Experiencia fantástica: Great place to rent a bike for the day. I rented one to pass the road test for my M1 License and couldn't be happier. Will definitely make sure people looking to get a bike for a day, or two, know about this place. Very friendly people.
Experiencia fantástica: I had a grat experience with this rental, I rented for a really good price the suzuki C50 and it was perfect and full equiped for the road trip. Fast paper work and honest and great comunication, no deposit or under 25 fees. Would rent again 100% Thank you!
Experiencia fantástica: If I could give these guys more stars, I would. Super friendly, very reasonable rates and easy to deal with. I was out riding in less than 10 minutes and bringing back the bike was just as easy. I've rented motorcycles before and it's never been this easy. The next time I'm in LA I'll be renting again from them!
Experiencia fantástica: Great bike easy process super nice people very accomadating with pickup and drop off times. Absolutely recommend. THANKS!
Experiencia fantástica: Ive rode very little prior to this and im alot more confident after Ilyas great instruction . The guy is super cool and had a dope bike. He covered all my questions in detail and kind of gives you this "ride your questions out on the motorcycle lessons". I recommend this to those who need a boost of confidence. Im totally gonna ace the DMV! Life
Experiencia fantástica: Excellent service. Can not fault it. We hired 2 bikes over the weekend & they were ready & waiting for us on our arrival. No issues with the bikes, but the service from Ilyas and his partner was faultless. If you need a bike in the LA area definitely give these guys a call.
Experiencia fantástica: Ilyas and Tia run a lean but friendly operation. It's not a problem to rent a bike from their home, and Ilyas is full of suggestions for how to make the most of your time. I rented a Yamaha FZ8 after I found that my initial planned rental of a Suzuki SV650 was just too cramped for my 6'5" frame. The FZ8 was great fun. Ilyas helped me resolve a flat rear tire as I was on my way back to his place, too.
Experiencia fantástica: We had a great experience renting from Ride 2 Ride Again. Ilyas has cultivated a lean business model in order to offer such competitive rates. Do not think this will leave you lacking anything in your rental experience, except maybe the fancy shop front (us real riders really kill for our fancy shop fronts, said no rider ever). With the range of bikes offered, we were able to take out exactly what we wanted and had helmets, gloves and jackets covered in the rental, as well as phone dock and saddle bags. I rode to ride again!
Experiencia fantástica: Muy bueno
Experiencia fantástica: Super friendly, helpful and economical - I'd certainly go with them again should the opportunity arise! Both Tia and Ilyas were very helpful and business-like. I rented the SV650 and went canyon-carving (you MUST visit the Angeles Crest Highway!!!) and it was in very good condition with Pilot Road 4s! Thanks very much guys!!!
Experiencia fantástica: Excellent bikes, Excellent service. Very flexible and accomodating. Great communication. Will be back!
Experiencia fantástica: Rented a Yamaha 650 cc for 3 days. So very cheap! 1/3 from anything else around (cheaper motorbikes as well but not an issue for me, just wanted a reasonable price for a cruiser). I've got an A1 licence (EU regulation) and the other big rentels wouldn't rent me anything (ignorant!). Above all I've met a lovely couple running their business together, I got VIP treatment, and a lot of flexibility. Would recommend supporting this small business - it's a win-win situation. Thanks Ilias!!
Experiencia fantástica: I landed at 1500. I was on a bike at 1630. Incredible. Thanks guys!
Experiencia fantástica: Just great bikes and service.
Experiencia fantástica: Rented Suzuki C50 Boulevard end of March 2018 for 6 days . Bike was excellent exactly what I wanted well maintained and had plenty of power . The service received from Ilyas and his wife was fantastic . I would thoroughly recommend using them .
Experiencia fantástica: Amazing people very helpful!! Thank you!!
Experiencia fantástica: Great service and availability from these guys. their prices are unbeatable, and i will rent from them again for sure thanks
Experiencia negativa: Not too sure what to think of this business. I emailed Ilias initially to know if I could rent one of his bike on a particular day. I specified that I did not know yet the time I would pick up the bike. It was fine on his side and his answer was positive. Later, I told him that I will know on the day in a window of 2 hours, when I could pick up the bike because I would arrive from a cruise that day (and you never know exactly how long it take to disembark). From that moment, Ilias ignored my email and text. I mean, if this is inconvenient for you and you do not want to rent it anymore, that's fine by me. But the least you could do is answering and be professional.
Guilty as charged. The email slipped through the cracks. The text I did not receive.
A simple email reminder could have fixed this.

ride...2 ride again....
Experiencia negativa: From good to bad. Please read our exchange below. I had a good experience with this company last year and sent another email request asking for new lessons yesterday. I don't understand why I got this reaction when I have been nothing but polite and sincere. Not only that, but I also thought it was in poor taste that he blatantly said that my learning "will take a long time." There are a few ways to interpret that: (1) he will not be teaching me as best he could, (2) he is trying to squeeze me for every dime, or (3) he's putting me down by not even humoring the idea that this will not take long. The tone of his response to me speaks for itself. Please read below. Feel free to PM me if you'd like more info or if you would like email to be forwarded to you. Ilyas, if you're reading this, you're more than welcome to text or email me so we can fix this. I'm all about small business, but my impression of you has been soured today. On Dec 13, 2017, at 5:06 PM, Ilyas wrote: Hello, Yes, I remember you. Your car kept mysteriously dying just before the session and then miraculously turning back on. This happened twice and it felt almost as if you did not want to ride. I may be wrong, but you did do a session or two. Not sure. Anyway, I can come and pick up your bike and we can train in Downtown at 7 pm weekday evenings. This would be a 2 hour training plus an additional $100 to pickup the bike and then return it at your home. Thus, $200 for each session. I am to add that considering your height, this will take a long time. i am to also add that the KTM is an incorrect fit. Like trying to wear a really big shoe size and then trying to run. Phuong,
You cancelled / No Showed twice. On location. For whatever reason. I was polite and respectful at all times. In fact, at both times, I offered to accompany you home just in case your car broke down again and you needed help. There were no charges made.
A No Show or Last Minute cancellation is not only a loss in income but a waste of time and an opportunity lost for somebody else to train.
Your height is 4'11 and weight is 85 pounds. I take pride as an instructor to have successfully trained you to a level where you could comfortably ride a motorcycle. When i say it will take a long time, it means just that. I am upfront about it and keeping you informed.
Relative to your frame size, we used the correct sized motorcycle earlier. You have now bought a motorcycle which is clearly the wrong fit for now and if you yet want to be trained on it, then it takes time to build confidence. This entails repetition and making all your mistakes in a controlled environment relative to on the streets. Transitioning to a bigger motorcycle is a gradual process. If you use the incorrect tool, you get an incorrect result.

ride...2 ride again....
Experiencia fantástica: No frills, fantastic service, great communication, and very accommodating! I'll be back!
Experiencia fantástica: "Too good to be true," you say? I said the same thing. Their prices are far more palpable than your typical "Eagle Rider" wallet burn. All I wanted for my short ride on the west coast, was a fun motorcycle. It didn't have to be the latest 2018 Harley CouchMaster, perfectly shiny. It just had to have 2 wheels, fresh tires, and to run properly. I also didn't particularly want to spend $200 for just a single day of riding! I was referred to R2RA on Reddit, and I can't emphasize enough, just how pleased I am. They had the perfect bike for my purpose (semi-upright sport bike, an SV650S), and it was a bargain price for a days rental. What, helmets and jackets are included in the price?! Yeah - don't expect a Shoei or Arai; bring your own if you want comfort! I was still skeptical - the price was literally 1/3rd of their closest competitor, really. Even the location seemed a little odd. But really, it's just a good guy running a business out of his home, and his passion for riding and helping others ride really shows. The moment I walked up to the bike and saw some virtually brand new Pilot Road 4's (top of the line Michelin's for the unaware) on the bike, I was at ease. He didn't cheap out on the rubber, and that's important. In the end, I enjoyed >24 hours of rental and a couple hundred miles of riding in the great mountains just north of LA/Anaheim, for a bargain price. Not a single hiccup at all. Thank you so much for making my vacation a memorable one!
Experiencia fantástica: Affordable prices and great service! Rented a scooter for my M1 and rented a bike for a trip to the coast. They convinced me to take the Nighthawk instead of the Vstar and I'm glad they did, I had much better control in the upright position and had an easy time cruising the streets. Would definitely recommend them to anyone needing a rental.
Very easy to work with and the price was great. Rental included helmet and gloves. When he heard we were going up the coast he threw in jackets too because he thought we might get cold. And the bikes were great too. I can't wait to do this again.
Experiencia fantástica: Very affordable prices. I was ambivalent about the location but Iliya won me over with his great laid back personality. I rented the Suzuki cruiser, the Honda nighthawk and the Honda Grom over the course of the week. All of the bikes were mechanically well maintained. I highly recommend to everyone looking to rent a sturdy bike for the week.
Experiencia fantástica: My son and I rented 2 bikes for 9 days to go to the Grand Canyon and we didn't have any issues with the bikes at all. They are very well maintained. Ilyas is a very laid back person and all the transaction a paperwork was easy. I will use his service again in the furure for sure.
Experiencia fantástica: I would recommend this great company, because the price is the best in town and the insurance is included. I rented a black Suzuki M50, which ran as it should.
Experiencia fantástica: Super friendly. The motorbike rides smoothly and you won't find a cheaper price in the city! I don't have a local phone so I emailed them and they were quick in their reply accepting my request. It's not easy to find them since they are just a small family business, but they can't give a better customer service.
Experiencia fantástica: Low price and will recommend them to anybody who's trying to rent and scooter or motorcycle.
Experiencia fantástica: These guys are rad and legit
