Experiencia fantástica: I did the MSF BRC1 with Bob and Hayley, both were amazingly helpful, direct and open. The course was executed in a really progressive way, and the instructors made sure to engage both on the riders’ technique and into motorcycle culture more generally. For someone coming from an ebike, I absolutely get the emphasis on being comfortable with balance on a bicycle before coming into this world. If you have that already, the course will be a blast. It’s still wild to me that my class mostly had no riding experience on day 1, but by end of day 2 we were all confidently counter steering and leaning into curves at pace. It was a great experience!

Experiencia fantástica: I have been riding motorcycles since I was a kid but decided to take a motorcycle class in lieu of taking the RMV road test. Boy am I glad I did. Streetwise Cycle School was AMAZING. Here’s why: 1. Communication- multiple emails with all the info needed to take the elearning part of the class, preparation for the actual class and steps to take after. All the info was concise, informative and easy. 2. Class- even though I have been a rider for most of my life, this class was incredibly useful and educational. It taught me to be a better rider: safer and way more confident. They have a great selection of motorcycles to fit anyone (even short people like me)! Safety was always the number one priority and was stressed throughout. 3. Road Test- you get all the tools and practice to pass the road test which is administered at the end of the class which is super convenient. No need to do the road test at the RMV. 4. Bob (and other coaches- thanks Paul)- teaching adults is hard. Bob has the patience, manner, knowledge and enthusiasm to make it work. I learned a ton and know I am a better rider for having taken this class. Plus- it was fun! Overall, if you want a motorcycle license and want to get it in the safest, easiest way possible, take this class! You will most definitely appreciate it later!!!!

Before this, my motorcycle experience was pretty limited, although I did have some background with stick shifts. But thanks to the fantastic coaches, Rebecca and Kevin, I felt right at home on two wheels. They were incredibly patient and skilled at breaking down different riding scenarios. Their explanations and demonstrations made everything click, and they created such a fun and relaxed environment that learning felt like a breeze. What really impressed me was how smoothly the licensing process went after the course. They took care of updating the RMV database, so getting my actual license was hassle-free. If you’re thinking about learning to ride and getting licensed, I can’t recommend Streetwise Cycle School enough. With Rebecca and Kevin leading the way, you’re in for a great time!

Experiencia fantástica: Attended the Returning Rider Class at Streetwise Foxboro. The instructors Rich and Haley were great. After a 7 year blank of not riding, the practice sessions helped me regain my confidence and skills on the bike. The exercises covered a wide variety of scenarios and were quite thorough. The instructors took time to observe and correct any errors, and offered helpful advice on improving core skills such as cornering, swerving and braking at speed . All of this contributed to the evaluation after the sessions being fairly simple to pass. By the end of the day my RMV profile reflected my new M license (thank you Bob!). Absolutely recommend Streetwise for first time or returning riders looking to brush up on their skills.

Experiencia fantástica: Very well run, great information presented in an easy to understand manner. The instructors were helpful, knowledgable and patient.

Experiencia negativa: Bikes are all run down, speedometers on half of them don't even work. Bob Johnson the owner absolutely refuses to communicate via phone or even text and will ONLY communicate with you via email, even if there's an emergency or urgent/imminent matter. Besides that really weird insistence by him, he also holds you and every other person that takes this course in contempt and has no respect for or your time, nor has respect for the most basic of etiquettes when communicating and interacting with people. Go to Training Wheels Motorcycle instead, not only do they practice actual proper communication etiquette and communicate with you promptly and respectfully. Their motorcycles are actually streetworthy and are properly maintained as opposed to the junk Bob has you riding on from whatever junkyard he picked them up from.

Experiencia negativa: I took the Basic Rider Course with the intent of qualifying for my motorcycle license. Day 1 was a fairly positive experience - there were minor issues with the bike I was using (e.g. it needed to be turned off in order to shift from 1st into neutral, which was weird but not impossible to deal with) but by the end of the day I was riding with confidence and felt good about passing the certification. Day 2 was a horrible experience - there was a serious mechanical issue that was interfering with my ability to execute even basic tasks - I raised the issue to the lead instructor who didn't take my concern seriously. The other instructor intervened and identified the issue, but was unable to resolve it, so I was asked to continue on. The issue persisted and grew more problematic and my concern still wasn't taken seriously until the second instructor intervened again and agreed that it wasn't safe for me to continue with that bike and would swap it out, but by the time that happened it was right before the certification test. Unsurprisingly, my confidence was gone and I was struggling to adapt to a new bike that worked quite differently than the other I had been using and I did not pass the test. To their credit, the manager of Streetwise apologized for my experience when I shared my feedback, and offered additional opportunities to practice and/or re-take the test. For me, being ignored by an instructor who should have listened to me was more than enough reason to not return, and I'll just go to the RMV and take the road test. I am only sharing this experience as a cautionary tale - don't let someone ignore you or diminish your concerns - if something is wrong or feels unsafe, you have the right to refuse to continue until it is corrected. Aside from the experience I had, it was very clear that the instructors were qualified and knew how to ride and how to teach others how to ride.

Bob and everyone were so kind, funny, and definitely put us at ease with clear instructions and personalized advice. We had never ridden on a motorcycle before and were really nervous as to the experience, but everything went so smoothly and by the end of the first day (even despite the rain) we were much more confident and relaxed. 10/10 would recommend, especially for first-time riders.

Experiencia fantástica: Everything they said would happen did happen, rain or shine! 7AM sharp and we were on our way to learning motorcycle safety. We had a rainy day but Robert the instruct and his son in law assistant had the bikes ready to go. They took the time and explained how and why the lessons would help us in real life motorcycle situations on the road. I learned a lot and will use this information for better street riding safety. Highly recommend the class even for a refresher course and the bikes were fun to ride.

I know the course says you don't need experience with motorcycles but it sure helps if you have ridden scooters or dirt bikes to give you an idea if you will even like riding motorcycles.

Finally I was tired of watching on YouTube and decided to take this course with zero experience. I took the 12-5:30pm course, and they did a fantastic job explaining, modeling, and simulating all the fundamentals the course had to offer. I had my permit prior and found myself nervous on the road, but after this course, I feel way more confident. Take the course, you won't regret it!

Experiencia fantástica: Just took the beginner course last weekend and it was absolutely great! The instructors were so kind and helpful and had a lot of experience. Willing to answer any questions you had. They provide you a helmet and if you forget, they have some spare gloves /boots as well. (But it's best that you bring your own gloves and boots .. for obvious reasons) The course was 5hrs on Sat, 5hrs on Sunday and the test at the end of Sunday. Again it was a wonderful experience and if you're interested in their courses I definitely recommend going here.

He goes above and beyond by letting you borrow his helmet, gloves, and even offering long gear to ensure you are well-prepared. Their BRC course is so unbelievably helpful and so well structured, and I guarantee they can teach and help anyone to ride. Not only that, it is genuinely fun — I had an absolute blast both of the days the course ran. I am so happy I went with Streetwise to complete my BRC course. It was recommended to me by 4 different people who all also took their BRC course through Streetwise, and just like them, I cannot recommend Streetwise Cycle School enough. If you want to learn and build confidence riding, Streetwise and their instructors will ABSOLUTELY do that, plus more. Amazing instruction, amazing people, amazing company. 10/10 I cannot wait to take their BRC2 course.

If you're in the Boston, Somerville, or Everett area, you've got to make the drive to take this course. Experiencia fantástica: I recently completed the beginner rider’s course and am very pleased with the program. I had previously ridden a dirtbike only once prior to taking this class. Both instructors were very helpful, the verbal walkthrough and physical demonstrations were very helpful. I was a little sad the riding classes were only two days long, it was a lot of fun and very helpful in building basic beginner skills - it’s great to know they offer more advanced classes once I gain some confidence as a beginner. Even though I haven’t completed the more advanced courses yet, I would highly recommend this motorcycle schooling program to anyone, beginner or experienced!

They put us through hours of riding, teaching us / showing us skills and testing us on those skills. During the “Testing Phase” : “Torrential Rain Started” so we, the entire group, finished the test in the rain. I highly recommend Bob and his School / Class.

Called and talked to the guys at Streetwise and they suggested the Returning Rider class. It was the best decision for me. It gave me the confidence to get on my bike and go ride. The two instructors Brandon & Torey were excellent. They were knowledgable, organized and calm through out the two day course. They work very well together. The class was enjoyable and made to feel easy going thanks to them. Bob came in on the last day and took some riding shots and emailed them the next day. That was a nice surprise.

I have the unique experience of taking the basic rider course at another school two years ago. The difference in the instructors was huge. At Streetwise they gave us far more practice at arguably the hardest part: slow speed corners and U-turns. While I did very poorly on that part of the exam two years ago, this year with Streetwise I aced it, no points off! At the other school a couple riders were going a little too fast in the corners (but still within the lines). The instructor went off on them, yelling and making a big show in front of the group. At Streetwise, a rider in my class did the same thing. However, our instructor Ron privately pulled him aside to give him the feedback. So much more professional and kind. Lastly, after I passed this time (woo!) there was an issue with the RMV side of things. I reached out to Bob at Streetwise to help. He emailed me back so quickly, spoke to his contact at the RMV, and in a couple of hours the RMV fixed it and issued the license!

Experiencia fantástica: Awesome experience. I took the beginner rider course to get my motorcycle license over the course of a weekend (5 hours each day). That's all it took. The instructors were knowledgeable, helpful, and you could tell they genuinely care about you succeeding and passing the test. The agenda was crisp and efficient with minimal wasted time. Be prepared for an all encompassing, fast paced training and come ready to learn from some awesome instructors. You'll learn physical skills to give you baseline riding ability as well as crucial ways to think about riding that will help once you get on the road. Once it's all over, they'll give you a card that gets you a discount on your insurance and take care of the RMV communication for you! My best recommendation for anyone worried about preparing for the class is to hop on a bicycle for a bit before coming. A lot of the skills are very transferrable. To the team - thank you for making my experience one of a kind and for the valuable instruction. This class is worth every penny.

Experiencia fantástica: I was looking for a good riding school to help me get my M Class License in Massachusetts (I moved from India in 2023 and was riding a Suzuki Hayabusa there). Streetwise Cycle School was recommended to me by Bettencourts Motor Co. and I'm glad I chose them. The 6 hour class was full of practical lessons and some really insightful and thought inspiring conversations with Paul who was the riding coach. Despite being a seasoned rider, there are always new things to learn. Thank you Paul, Bob and Streetwise Cycle School for a great experience and fun filled day. P.S.: I got my M class endorsement on the same day which was awesome. :-)

Experiencia fantástica: I did a 2 day basic course from may 11- may 12, excellent coaches, with loads of patience, I stalled so much on the first day, but they had nothing but helpful advises, by the second day I got the clutch down easily. Excellent teachers wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to family or friends
