Experiencia negativa: *In response to the reply from American Harley-Davidson: I will take a refund, you can mail me the check to my address you have on file from when I purchased the above referenced Helmet and Motorcycle in the summer of 2022. I believe you are missing the overall point regarding your operation though. I purchased one helmet from you, and one Helmet from Cycle Gear (an online retailer with brick & mortar in PA). They had the courtesy to let me know the Helmet had been recalled...you had the same opportunity...however you were perfectly fine allowing me to ride with a Helmet that was recalled at least 5 months ago. Lucky for me Cycle Gear is a squared away company that pays attention to equipment recalls when they are the merchant processor of the transaction for said equipment. Again, you chose not to inform me of the recall...and I would have been still using the Helemt had Cycle Gear not reached out. Then when I called your company to ask about the recall, I was told to contact the Manufacturer. I'd imagine you have other customers out there riding on recalled equipment that you have sold. The recall for these items was between 2021 and 2024 alone....Do you have a process in place to alert these other customers? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- (Original Post Below) Typical Sales floor that prioritizes money over customer service. Family run business that isn’t equipped to operate in 2024. Sold me a HD-X07 overpriced helmet along with my overpriced motorcycle. A helmet that has since been recalled. The shop couldn’t be bothered informing their customers of this recall though. They couldn’t be bothered to offer a refund and ship the defective product back to the manufacturer. I don’t mind paying a premium, however, the concept is that it comes with a strong customer service package that enhances the customer experience. Instead the company is hiding behind the manufacturer and (shocker) prioritizing themselves over the customer. My advice? Buy all your gear online. The only reason I discovered I had been using a recalled Helmet was from an online retailer (with brick & mortar locations in PA) that I purchased a separate helmet from at the same time. Scott greeted me and showed immediate interest in helping to find the right bike for me. I was interested in a Heritage, but Scott showed me a few bikes and encouraged me to take test drives. After test drives, I was sold on a Lowrider ST. Although taking delivery of your first new Harley is special in itself, Scott and the team at American went above and beyond to make it an unforgettable experience. I drove my new bike home a week ago, but Scott is still going out of his way to help me customize my new ST. Based on my fantastic experience, I will be taking the hour drive to American for my service, future bike purchases, and all my Harley needs. Thank you Scott and the rest of the awesome team at American H-D.

Experiencia fantástica: I recently purchased my 24 road glide from American Harley. Gio was laid back and listened to what I had in mind for parts and accessories. Ordering my parts was a breeze. The part dept was very helpful in answering all my questions and was patient while I browsed the parts catalog. I didn't feel any pressure at anytime throughout the sale. Once I finished up the paperwork my new ride was outside ready to go. Gio even paired my phone and gave a quick rundown of all the features of the bike. (Which was quite a few coming from my heritage) Overall this purchase was a great experience and American will always make you feel like family!

Experiencia fantástica: Fantastic service. Our 1999 Road King, on which we were doing a 10 k miles road trip through Canada and the States, needed a new tyre after 8k miles. Luckily we chose these guys to do it. They saw we had a very bad crack in the wheel rim and chased up a replacement (not that easy given its age) and got it all done in 24 hours. Experiencia negativa: Worst, garbage Harley-Davidson dealer I have EVER been to! Slowwww A-F the day I was there. No one could take 2 seconds to acknowledge I was there. I looked at their weak t-shirt selections for 10 minutes before settling on one as I collect them from every dealer I visit. I then walked around for another 10 minutes from front to back of the place and no one was available to sell it to me. One guy was up front who completely ignored me while he tried to sell a bike to another guy. I get it, bike vs t-shirt... Are you so weak at sales that you can't take 2 seconds to check on someone else who has passed your counter 44758 times?! I didn't look lost to you?! You didn't hear me cursing that place out? Whatever. I threw the t-shirt on one the super dusty motorcycles and walked out cursing. I'm glad I'll never be back there! Buy now I have a "skip that place" story to tell whomever will listen.

Entire staff is friendly and seems very knowledgeable about the HD product line. Dealership has that “family” atmosphere, which is hard to find nowadays. This is my 4th bike from this dealership and wouldn’t think of going anywhere else but American Harley Davidson for anything HD related! If you’re even contemplating on getting a new or used Harley Davidson, don’t waste your time going anywhere else in the area, you won’t be sorry. Thank you.

Experiencia fantástica: I am not going to write about our new bikes - you wouldn't be reading the reviews if you did not know already what the Harley Davidson brand represents. What I do want to share is what an important role the American Harley dealership made in the overall experience. My husband and I went in just to look around. We were greeted by Giovanni B. He welcomed us to look around and made himself available to answer our questions. After a bit, we choose the bikes we wanted right off the showroom floor. Giovanni encouraged is to leave a deposit and go home and think about our decision over the weekend. No pressure. If we decided that we did not want to buy the bikes, I had no doubt that cancelling the order would have been received gracefully. Like I said, no pressure. After we purchased the bikes ( the same day BTW), we were immediately recognized by more than one member with sincere congratulations and a profound sense that we were being welcomed into their family. Well, that is exactly what was happening - as this dealership is family owned and operated by three brothers. When we went back in to sign the final paperwork and take the bikes home, it became apparent just how serious these brothers, and all of the members of the staff, are about "welcoming you into the family." Scott H., the business manager, scheduled 2 hours with each of us to explain everything that Harley Davison had to offer us, both complimentary and for an additional cost. He was very thorough and respectful of all of our decisions and guided us to make some very good choices. We were introduced to Fran C. in the merchandise department, Justin R. in the parts department and Rick C. in service. Each encounter involved a fun game of "poker" - where you drew card at each stop for a chance at a monthly prize. Each person we met with spent as much time with us as we needed. They gave us instructions and advice on EVERYTHING -from how to earn rewards on in-store purchases to how to break your new engine in properly to help selecting some items we wanted to add to the bikes. We were gifted a fabulous swag bag with some very thoughtful and nice stuff, we had a picture taken, we even rang a bell in the store which was greeted with cheers and applause. This all may sound superficial to you, but I assure you, I had purchased a new HD from a different dealership before and had no such experience. In fact, they handed me a tee shirt and sent me on my way. The point of this review is to tell you this. If they treated us like this AFTER they already sold us the bikes, how do you think they are going to continue to treat us in the future? I say fabulously.

Experiencia fantástica: I just got into town and noticed the kickstand was hitting the primary cover on the new bike. Less than 100 miles on it. Bought it in AZ. I pulled up, and one of the employees asked me what I needed before I even walked in! And he repaired it on the spot!! How cool is that! Sorry I didn't get his name. Thanks! Great 1st impression. Oh, and I bought a couple things and the parts guy was awesome too. Very friendly. :)

Experiencia fantástica: I have now purchased 4 HDs in literally two years and two days. Each one has been through American in North Tonowanda. Gio and Scott are the dynamic duo when it comes to getting you on a bike YOU want. There is no pressure to upsell, only good advice and experience. The entire store is like a family meeting place, where every person that walks through the door is on first name basis with everyone. We've all been to those dealerships where you've been a million times, and each time they say "Nice to meet you." Not at American. Its "Nice to see you again (insert name here)" They have a personal stake in you actually enjoying the bike, the ride and the experience that comes with being a Harley owner. Sure, I've bought 4 bikes, maybe that's why these guys/gals are so familiar? No, its been like that since day one. I recently totaled my old bike. And these guys spent DAYS single mindedly finding the bike I wanted, to have it ready for me. I know that they went to several dealerships, offering swaps, purchases, future bikes etc. They said no, bar one. If you want to buy a bike, have a great time doing so, have connections that last post-sale, then the only real choice in the entire WNY area is American Harley Davidson. Talk to Gio, and tell him that Ron sent you.
