This so-called educational institution is nothing short of a nightmare, a cesspool of incompetence, deception, and outright scamming. Let's start with the quality of instruction, or lack thereof. From day one, it became painfully evident that the instructors at CDL Academy were utterly unqualified and disinterested in providing any semblance of education. Instead of imparting knowledge and skills vital for a career in trucking, they spent more time gossiping amongst themselves or disappearing for hours on end, leaving students to fend for themselves. But the incompetence doesn't end there. The facilities at CDL Academy are a disgrace. Broken-down trucks, outdated equipment, and dingy classrooms that resemble abandoned warehouses are just some of the charming amenities you can expect. It's as if they took pride in providing the bare minimum while charging premium prices. And speaking of prices, let's talk about the financial aspect. CDL Academy has mastered the art of deception when it comes to tuition fees. What starts as a reasonable amount quickly balloons into an astronomical sum once you're locked into their contract. Hidden charges, surprise fees, and penalties for everything under the sun ensure that students graduate not only with a subpar education but also drowning in debt. But perhaps the most egregious aspect of CDL Academy is their complete disregard for the safety and well-being of their students. Vehicles are poorly maintained, safety protocols are nonexistent, and incidents of accidents and injuries are swept under the rug faster than you can say "lawsuit." This institution, if you can even call it that, is nothing more than a scam preying on hopeful individuals seeking a career in the trucking industry. Let's start with the promises they make. From the moment you step foot into their facility, you're bombarded with grandiose claims of guaranteed job placement, top-notch training, and a supportive learning environment. However, once you've paid your exorbitant tuition fees (which conveniently skyrocket after you've signed on), the reality sets in. Firstly, the so-called "training" provided is nothing short of a joke. Outdated materials, malfunctioning equipment, and instructors who are more interested in their phones than teaching plague the classrooms and driving yards. It's as if they plucked these instructors off the street with no regard for their qualifications or dedication to education. Furthermore, job placement assistance? More like job placement abandonment. Despite their assurances of helping graduates secure employment, once you've completed the program, you're left high and dry. No job leads, no industry connections, just a worthless piece of paper and a mountain of debt. But wait, it gets worse. As if fleecing students wasn't enough, CDL Academy Fort Smith engages in deceptive practices to squeeze every last penny out of unsuspecting individuals. Hidden fees, additional charges for "mandatory" materials, and arbitrary fines for minor infractions are all par for the course. And let's not forget their customer service, or lack thereof. Attempting to resolve any issues with the administration is an exercise in futility. Emails go unanswered, phone calls are ignored, and if by some miracle you manage to speak to someone, they'll dismiss your concerns with a patronizing pat on the head. In conclusion, steer clear of CDL Academy Fort Smith like the plague. It's not a place of learning; it's a money-making scheme designed to exploit the dreams and aspirations of hardworking individuals. Save your time, save your money, and find a reputable institution that actually cares about your success.

Experiencia fantástica: Superior staff and superior instructors! If you want it and are willing to put forth the effort you WILL obtain your CDL. I enrolled and 4 weeks later, I had my Class A CDL. Thank you CDL Academy Ft. Smith !!

Experiencia positiva: Well...I past the test which in Oklahoma is hard to do. I attended this school in January of 2020, and at the time it was a very affordable school that was willing to work with me and my financial situation. Instructors there were friendly and the class room section seemed really good at getting those guys (and girls) ready for the writen test, I had already gotten my permit prior to starting school. At the time I went through the school there were too many people in the one class which resulted in not getting the proper time behind the wheel...but I am a fast learner.

Experiencia negativa: Do not recommend. Unprofessional staff and inadequate equipment for training as of mid 2021. Trucks were missing gears, air leaks, bad tires, overheating, etc, etc. One trainer never left the comfort of his chair to teach anything. Minimal time with the truck because of class size and no in-cab inspection for test practice was ever given to me. It was a setup for failure and waste of time, effort, and money. Of course you sign a legal document that no reimbursement is given. This was mostly my experience here.

Experiencia fantástica: Mark, Billy, and Taylor were incredibly helpful in getting me started on this new career. Taylor was able to get me into classes with out any financial strain and was flexible with my starting date. After that Mark and Billy taught me more than I could imagine. The best part about my experience is that they had 2 recruiters come in and inform us on their companies within the 2 weeks I was here and before completing my class I had 2 GREAT job offers. If you or anyone you know was unsure about a career in trucking I would definitely recommend coming here to learn.

Experiencia positiva: This place was able to get me in and out of there even though the coronavirus head started to shut down businesses. They operated as long as they could before they shut down after I was able to pass the test and get my CDLs. Two of the three instructors gave great instructions and I was able to pass with very little resistance. If I had to do all over again what I use Tri-State career centers? Yes I would. So to all you people that wants to drive a truck, go through Tri-State career centers for your training they won't get you through there as soon as they can.
