Experiencia fantástica: I got the dmv package with them literally a day before my behind the wheel appointment (they were so nice to take me in because someone else cancelled). My instructor was Leticia, she pointed out what I did wrong while practicing before the dmv and gave tips on how to fix them. So I kept everything in mind while I took my test and I passed!! I had a nice overall experience with the Davis academy :)

Over time, Leticia taught me the skills to not only pass my drive test, but also to have the confidence to drive in any situation. In addition to the test material, Leticia and Marie taught me to drive on the freeway, parallel park, and get to the locations I visit most frequently. Leticia has trained the other instructors to be the perfect mentors who know when to challenge you and when to give you extra support. I cannot thank Leticia and Marie enough for supporting me. If you want knowledgeable instructors who genuinely care about you, go with Davis Driving Academy!

Experiencia fantástica: My daughter had never driven when she signed up with Davis Academy. She said the school cars have a brake and a gas pedal on the passenger side which allowed the instructor to operate the pedals while my daughter got a feel for the steering. The other driving schools only have the brake on the passenger side. She passed the test on the first attempt. If you call around, don't just ask the price, ask if they have a gas pedal and a brake on the passenger side.

At first it was a little difficult getting in contact with them, but I think they put someone in charge of communication because they started answering my messages almost immediately! I really appreciated that. The classes were amazing, my instructor was the best, always giving me advice and tips, she was very patient and made me feel more secure driving which is exactly what I needed. Definitely recommend!

Experiencia positiva: My son had a great experience with the driving instructors here. Leticia was very helpful in preparing him for the driving test, and he passed on his first try! However, scheduling the lessons was cumbersome, not as easy as when my daughter took her lessons there 3 years ago. I seldom received a return phone call when I left a message. Email sometimes worked for a reply. But the text number they use usually was the most consistent reply. We were always able to get the lesson time we requested. One lesson was a no-show, but within 30 minutes a different instructor stepped in to make the lesson happen. So, overall, the driving instruction is great and will help you pass the test, but communication to set up the lessons needs improvement.

Experiencia negativa: Terrible experience! They only care about money and just no goodwill to teach. Extremely rude and arrogant instructors! Full of lies and just finding ways to extort more money. The instructor does tricky behavior to reduce the lesson time by arriving late, demanding a cancellation fee of 65$ if shifted to another day. A horrible experience indeed.

Experiencia fantástica: This driving school has an answering service so if you called and left a message they will return your call the next business day people not leaving a message will not be recall. The school has excellent mature driving instructors, once you make an appointment with them you will also have the instructors number which you can text at any time to schedule your next lesson if for some reason The Office does not respond to you. They also use email and texting. Keep in mind the school is very busy it’s booked two weeks out.

Experiencia fantástica: Both of my kids used Davis Academy Driving School. Both kids passed their behind the wheel test on the first attempt. The scheduling system has changed over time and become more convenient. I had no issues with payment, cancellations, or tardiness.

Experiencia negativa: I would give this place a 0 star review if I could. This academy is a complete scam. First thing: When scheduling and paying for your classes they only accepted through pay-pal which at first felt a bit strange to me, but it is only so they cannot give you refunds for the lack of service they will not provide you. Secondly : Scheduling. Where do I even begin with it. They will give you dates for your lessons but will not fulfill them. My lessons were supposed to be a half week course in February, My final lesson was December 13th. The Academy would repetitively cancel my classes and when contacting the person that would give me the time for my lessons (which happens to be someones personal phone and would open my messages, and ignored them) I would be left disappointed. Finally: the instructors. I only have been with two of the instructors and I would not be surprised if Davis only had two because of the fact they had to reschedule and cancel multiple times and couldn't find someone to come to my appointment or even find a new time for the appointment. One of the instructor has the tendency to constantly step on the breaks while driving which i have believed ruined the state of the car because when trying to press on the gas, the car would go straight to 30 mph (even if barely tapping on it with your foot), which is extremely dangerous for both of the people in the car. The same instructor would explain the same thing over and over to me, but would use metaphors and sayings that would not make sense to me. On my last lesson, the other instructor made weird comments out of the blue about a group of people eating cats being poor and homeless during the lesson. Which was extremely inappropriate for a driving lesson. This same instructor also while I was turning, grabbed my wheel to turn it intensely (she stated that she didn't want to return the car scratched).Both instructors also told me that I needed to drive with other people and practice, even thought the reason I paid the $550 was because I didn't have any one else to teach me. All in all, I feel as if I don't even know the basic laws of the roads, extremely unprepared for my behind the wheels test, and am so disappointed in this company for being a complete waste of peoples time.

Experiencia negativa: I purchased 6 lessons behind the wheel. The instructor came for the first lesson and it went fine. For the second scheduled lesson instructor didn't show up. I called the Davis Academy Driving School and they said someone will call me back. I don't know if they gonna call back and if I will get another lesson. I should have read the other bad reviews before, because I should have choose another driving school. This is a bad experience.

Experiencia negativa: On July 27 I paid $375 for in person driving lessons for my daughter. I sent two emails, one Facebook message, and two phone calls and never received any information or response from them. August 15 I called my credit union and disputed the charge since I had had no contact from this company. I then found out from other friends in the area that they have issues with the company as well, not being able to schedule driving lessons in a timely manner.  One friend told me their child had their first lesson and it had been over a month and they hadn’t been able to schedule another one. My credit union told me it would take 30 to 60 days for the dispute to go through. 60 days would be October 14. Today, October 7, I get an email from Davis Academy driving school asking me if my daughter had in person lessons yet and to respond via email when a good time would be. 72 days after I made the purchase they finally reached out to me. I can only assume the reason that they did finally reach out is because they know they only have one more week before the dispute would be settled in my favor. No way am I going to work with a company that made me wait 72 days for any kind of communication. And it wasn’t even a response to any of my previous emails.

Experiencia negativa: Very bad experience with this Driving School. I purchased a package of 3x 2H lesson. First lesson was scheduled without issue. I have been trying to schedule the second lesson now for 1month. I call, get someone on the phone who takes my name and phone number saying someone will call back and no one calls back. When I pressed, after the 5th time calling, about talking to a manager or getting a physical address for the business, I get either no manager name or 2 different addresses for the same business. I have never seen a business run in such manner. My daughter needs her second lesson so I will go with another driving school. Since they state no refund on purchased package but yet it is impossible to schedule any lessons, I will file a small claim suit against the Davis academy. I recommend to not do business with this company.

Experiencia fantástica: I had a great experience with Davis Academy, they really went above and beyond to help me get prepared for my test! Coming in with some driving experience, I thought I knew enough to pass, but not even close! The instructors were able to correct all sorts of little flaws that made my driving less safe than the DMV prefers. Not only that, but I felt that both of the instructors I worked with genuinely cared about the safety of their students, it always felt safe in the vehicle even when attempting difficult maneuvers.

Experiencia negativa: The absolute worst driving school! Such a waste of money. Pretty sure it’s a scam. I clearly got double booked for my first appointment and I received a text from a random number the day of saying my instructor was unavailable. There was no introduction or way for me to know who this text was from. The texts got progressively more unprofessional and when I called I realized the voice of the person I was speaking to was a child. I asked if there was an adult I could speak to and she said no. So frustrating. I gave them a chance and rescheduled my lesson. My instructor barely spoke English and did not respect my time when I said I had to be home at a certain hour. I tried scheduling another class with no response. It’s been weeks now and I simply want a refund. I’ve tried calling and I’ve left 3 messages with no response. DO NOT SPEND MONEY HERE.

Experiencia negativa: I recommend taking your classes somewhere else. My son waiting patiently for his Driver's Education certificate to arrive but after a month time, he inquired and they stated that it was mail but we never received. If he need another copy he would have to pay $15 for a certificate when the class and certificate cost only $12. What a ripoff!!! When asked about the price difference, the answer is I don't know. Not an honest place.
