Driving School in Wallingford, CT offering driver's ed classes, behind-the-wheel lessons, and license testing services for teens & adults.
Includes 30 hours of live Zoom class sessions & 8 hours of driving lessons. Going above & beyond the CT state minimum 8 hour drug & alcohol safety program requirement, this course offers unparalleled, comprehensive knowledge that equips new drivers with the mastery to navigate the roads safely & courteously with the added benefits of a shorter license wait time for teens & possible insurance discounts depending on the insurance provider. Classes may be taken in any order and additional driving lessons can be added at any time.
Our 8-hour safe driving course (aka 8-hour drug & alcohol safety course) fulfills the minimum driver education requirement for the state of CT. All classroom sessions are taught by a live instructor via Zoom. This course does not include any private driving lessons, but they can be purchased at any time. Classes are offered in one 8-hour day (adults only), two 4-hour days or four 2-hour days.
Driving lessons are done in 2-hour blocks and begin with the basics so that the instructor can develop a good understanding of each student’s experience, skill, knowledge and confidence. As lessons progress, the instructor will make sure that each core skill is learned before building upon it. Lessons will cover accelerating, braking, turning and parking maneuvers before graduating to lane choice, speed management, urban and rural driving, driving on hills, highway driving and mock road tests (if purchased).
Avoid the crowd & DMV headaches. Relax & test with us! Use our car, at our location, with a TNS test host on hand to answer any last-minute questions and calm nerves. We handle all of the paperwork ahead of time and the DMV agent comes to our location to evaluate students.

We offer license test appointments at our convenient locations across the State of Connecticut. Tests run every 15 minutes between 8am and 1pm. The available schedules listed here are not a guarantee of availability, sign up and login to the Student Portal to see live availability and book your license test appointments.

1 year ago Experiencia negativa: IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING THE NEXT STREET, DONT!!!!!! DMV instructors hate the next street and will not pass anyone that tests there!!!! No value for what you pay for. The lessons are nothing but youtube videos and powerpoint slides on a zoom call. Instructors said 100% ready for test, DMV instructor was so rude to say nowhere near ready. This place is a scam

We’re sorry to hear that you feel this way. We have not received any prior correspondence from you regarding dissatisfaction with your program until now. For context, our pass rate at today’s Wallingford test was 90%, and our annual average is 85%.
We understand it’s disappointing to fail a test, and we sincerely empathize. Maintaining proper speed, without going significantly below or above the speed limit, is a crucial part of safe driving and our curriculum. Driving 10mph below the speed limit can indeed pose safety risks and is considered a valid reason for failure, regardless of the testing location.
Additionally, our retest fee of $150 covers the use of our vehicle and testing services at our location. We understand your frustration and regret that your experience did not meet your expectations. We wish your family all the best and hope your next road test is a success.

1 year ago Experiencia negativa: The wallingford location is a complete scam for driving tests. Extremely high failure rate (at $150 bucks a pop). Something fishy going on with them and their dedicated dmv tester “Scott.” Was there for several hours and not one kid passed (one kid every fifteen minutes— you do the math) On my kids second test, Scott abruptly changed the route (different than the three routes the company told us he was doing that day) after my kid was doing well on the regular route. They make more money when the kids fail. Go to the DMV.

The customer service is beyond awful, barley lowers insurance, they don’t teach you anything at all and often times the instructors are very rude. This place SUCKS. Don’t spend your money, go to the shield
