AAA Driving School

Experiencia negativa: I think instructors and instruction part are fine. Probably 4-5 stars. I went with AAA because of their reputation. However, 1star is for problem with AAA scheduling system where you can only have 2 appointments at a time and if you're only available on weekend you'd be lucky if you can schedule driving lesson once a month. And with a cancellation days before lesson and lack of prioritization for cancelled schedule, you're looking at driving 1 hour lesson in 2 month period which is what my son is experiencing. If there's another cancellation it'll be 3 months since last lesson. At this rate it may take a year to complete a driving lesson. If you're available during weekdays, you'd probably be fine. If you're not I wouldn't recommend it unless you don't mind 1 month between driving lessons. I'm trying to get a refund.

Experiencia negativa: While we’re getting in our car, your driver laid on the horn at us. Whether they’re a student or an instructor, you should be doing better than that as drivers. Zero stars.

Experiencia fantástica: Highly recommend. I know it's a little pricey, but it was worth it. Our two children did the program and it helped them drive more carefully and be more aware. And when dealing with the DMV there were no questions asked.

Experiencia negativa: The absolute worst! I paid for 10 hrs of instruction . I got an appointment to July 1st. The day before -- less than 24 hrs before my son was supposed to go to his first lesson they canceled saying the teacher needed to cancel. If a student cancels with less than 24 hrs they charge $60 but apparently they can cancel whenever they want. I asked for a $60 refund and they refused. They said the next lesson was July 31st!!!! So now I have to wait 30 days to get a lesson that I had booked because you decided not to show up??? they are the worst!! They will cancel on you with no notice!!!

Experiencia negativa: The online experience is 100% horrible. VERY difficult to navigate the various interfaces and pages, all designed apparently by different people at different times. The in-person experience was excellent and the instructors were prompt, knowledgeable and quite good. However it was very difficult to get in-person lessons outside of school hours. Had to pull my kid out of school more than once for a lesson.

Experiencia fantástica: AAA driving school was thorough and informative and just the perfect amount of instruction for my teens. Both of my kids passed their driving tests and both are good drivers. Very satisfied.

Experiencia fantástica: I've been a member of the auto club for almost 15 years and I must say that their service is great. They seem to making improvements on each visit however, there is but one issue which I'm pretty sure has affected many others by surprise and that is the fact that they do not accept payments via debit or ATM card. I do believe that this needs to be changed as I've seen way too many members with long faces who have been disappointed to finds out that they're unable to do their transactions using their bank or debit cards. I met a member in the lot earlier today who was extremely disappointed after he'd taken time off work to do what should have only taken a few minutes only to be told he'll need to bring cash or a money order. Not sure why this is but I myself had fallen into that trap a while back and was truly disappointed. I ended up making an extra trip just to do a transaction, something which should have taken no more than 10mins or less. Not sure if they're planning to make some changes in this regard but I do believe that an amendment needs to be made in such cases.

Experiencia negativa: We’ve paid for our driving school package, completed online, and passed the written exam. The first available lesson is never? The online portal is horrible. My daughter will have to wait until heaven knows when to get her first lesson. They’ve charged us “fees” for having to try to see if other locations are available. Unbelievable. My son completed this program several years ago and it was good. So sorry it’s terrible now.

Experiencia negativa: Our experience with the AAA Driving School was not great. Not only did it take almost a year to finish 6 lessons (due to not enough teachers and too many students), but the lessons were so far apart (sometimes 3 months), that I had to teach my kid how to drive -- the teachers were not useful and did not teach my daughter how to drive. If i had to do it again, I would choose a different program. Not worth the cost!
