Experiencia fantástica: My instructor Patty, was a great instructor, helping me learn everything that I needed to know about driving. She was very kind, helpful, and supportive during all 10 of our hours together. I highly recommend her to everyone. I'm definitely going to do the refresher course with her before my test.

Experiencia negativa: The class instructor (not sure if it was owner) was very unprofessional. Made some really stupid "jokes" about teens in general, to a room full of teens. He just had no respect for these young adults in the class. He also said up front "do not call me when class is up, you'll get an instructor assigned, and then you need to deal with only them". So out of luck if there is an issue or question-So we did get an instructor, about three months later. Marianne-she was also pretty rude and made comments about how her time was important when we asked if thursday was okay, as if we were being difficult when we simply waited three months to hear from anyone, then asked for a day each week. She could have just said "how about such-and-such a day, this day is filled". It was just a difficult process riddled with disrespect. The final straw for me was my daughter coming home in tears after a driving day, but we didn't feel we had a choice except to keep going till it was done and we did just that. We de-stressed with treats after each nonsense visit just to curb the anxiety. For the price paid, the amount of disregard and disrespect was appalling. They only get two stars from me because the instructor did technically know the laws, which is obviously the point of the class. If they also knew how to be polite and professional, that would be great. Glad to be done with them.

Experiencia fantástica: Our daughter just completed her drivers ed course and we are so pleased with Northeast! The class schedule and time frame were consistent and staff were helpful and friendly. We especially loved our daughter's driving instructor, Patti! She was so calm, empowering, and knowledgeable. Our daughter is dyslexic and was worried that this would impact her driving ability. Patti assured us that she has had experience with other dyslexic students and would be able to make our daughter comfortable and teach her in the way that she learns. Can't say enough about Patti - our daughter loved her so much that she is naming her first car after her! :) We are looking forward to seeing Patti again for a refresher course before the driving test!

We travel a lot as a family, and my daughter has already drove in the Baltimore, Maryland area and in Florida as well as Maine! How do you help equip her for success. I really like the way that she taught me and the advice that she gave me really helped me understand what I was doing! - Ashleigh Ashleigh is our first child to go through driver's Ed and the parent class was very informative and helpful. My daughter drove with Patty, who is amazing! She was the perfect fit for my daughter's first driving experience. Patty is friendly, kind, calm, and really wants her students to succeed. My daughter has walked away with a good foundation of driving skills and most importantly she was always eager to attend her driving lesson, and that I feel was due to Patty's warm demeanor and great teaching ability.

Experiencia negativa: To the Owner. The review I wrote OVER a month ago was written way BEFORE anyone returned my calls, or website messages and I even tried FB page for North East Driving School. I left multiple messages and no one got back to me for weeks. In fact, it was right around the time YOU wrote your response...kinda convenient, isn't it? The timing of your response? So my original review stands. Communication should be more efficient. You should care enough to look into this matter. Not everyone is in a position to just "get" somewhere. I lost my SUV during COVID and it had been hard. I realize the orientation needs to be completed per the State rules.

Experiencia fantástica: Classroom and driving instructors are caring, confident and amazing with the students. Patty is such a calm, caring driving instructor who puts her students at ease as well as instilling confidence in her student drivers.

Experiencia fantástica: I had a great experience at Northeast Driving School. I took my class back in June and July 2023 and learned a lot about how to drive. I attended two 3 hour In-person lessons and then worked on 20-25 hours of online material through a AAA How to Drive Course (at my own pace). I also had 10 hours of behind the wheel instruction before taking my learner permit test. My instructor, Patty, was wonderful and very knowledgeable about traffic laws and how to safely operate a vehicle. If you are looking for a great Drivers Education course, look no further than Northeast in Bangor!

Experiencia negativa: Don’t be in a hurry to get your money back. My daughter (M. Tuite) signed up for class last month, had to almost immediately drop out and request a refund after only going to the orientation. Refund requested on Sept 5, 2023. Today is Sept. 25th and she still doesn’t have her money back. And yes, we know that there’s $150 non-refundable. She worked two jobs to pay for this herself, and is just getting the run-around. She’s called, I’ve called, she’s texted. She’s been told several times that the owner uses PayPal, and that’s he’s processing the refund..yeah. No, he’s not. It’s been 20 days. Highly unprofessional.

Experiencia fantástica: Our son had Debbie for an instructor and she was wonderful! It’s very reassuring as a parent to have someone like Debbie. She really teaches the importance of safety and keeps the student focused. Her sense of humor helped with the parent ride. LOL! Thank you Debbie.

I would recommend Kristy to anyone, she is sociable and funny, and she made my driving experience ten times better. Give that girl a raise cause she deserves it!

Experiencia fantástica: We recently completed our first experience with Northeast Driving School. Our experience was flawless. My son was assigned “Patty” for his driving instructor. We could not have been more impressed. She was amazing! She was incredibly flexible, caring, patient and abundantly knowledgeable !! She made my sons road time enjoyable while equipping him with everything he needs to be a safe & confidant driver. Patty worked efficiently to get my sons road time completed in a timely & efficient manner. We are thrilled with her and our experience.

Experiencia fantástica: Excellent experience for my daughter and I. Classroom time was great and informative. The independent study for my motivated child was great. She was able to work at her own pace. On the first drive we scheduled all of her drives so that was easy for planning purposes. Her driving instructor, Patty, was wonderful! Very patient and kind, but not afraid to provide teaching/correction when needed in a meaningful way! We really liked having the same instructor to drive with. My daughter was comfortable and did t have to start over with someone new each time. My daughter was successful at Northeast and achieved her permit with ease!

Experiencia negativa: I just moved here from another state. The laws for young drivers, of course, are different from state to state. We received misinformation from the BMV regarding our 19 year old son's ability to get his DL, so we signed him up at Northeast Driving School. Trying to be responsible, I made two $200 payments ($400) to try and pay off the near $600 fees before my son started classes. I found out my son doesn't need driver's training after all from the Augusta office. It's been a month. Ive called and emailed the office to get my refund. All I get is crickets. They're sure fast to take your money, but they don't feel they have to return it.

Experiencia negativa: I am the parent of a 16 yr old teenager that is taking the classes. In fact she just passed her exam last night. So far HER experiences have been great! MINE however NOT SO MUCH. I was unable to attend the parent orientation in the beginning due to having 1 vehicle and my husband USES that vehicle for deliveries 7 days a week!! So getting me to ANY appt or orientation is just about impossible. My issue is that NO ONE RETURNS PHONE CALLS, FB MSGS or ONLINE MESSAGES via their website. I have been leaving messages for a month now and NO ONE has called or messaged me back EVER! No one even picks up the darn phone!!! Why It is ridiculous that a parent who is TRYING to communicate and do the right thing cannot because no one returns calls or messages!! So my child is happy...I am NOT. Someone needs to listen to the messages and CALL ME BACK NOW. My daughter tells me that she cannot be assigned a driver unless I attend orientation. I JUST want to know if I can do it over Zoom or what!?!?!? It is not fair to hold my child up from getting her hard earned, EXPENSIVE permit because people that work there don't return calls or messages. IF someone returns my messages I will gladly change my review.

Experiencia fantástica: I took both of my teenagers here starting in October. Neither had ever driven before. By the time it was my turn to begin teaching them THEY KNEW HOW TO DRIVE. Like, without terrifying me. Also, they know the rules of the road and are teaching me things now. I paid $1050 for two of my kids to learn how to drive and it was MORE THAN WORTH IT! I can’t believe how well it went. The last hour is wonderful because you can learn their strengths and weaknesses and learn how to communicate with your child without yelling while teaching your kids. 10/10 highly recommend. Amy instructed my daughter and a wonderful man instructed my son. (I don’t know his name). They said that their instruction was stern at first but got easier over time and when we left THEY BOTH GOT HUGS FROM THEIR INSTRUCTORS!

Experiencia fantástica: I have been getting lessons from Patty at the school and she has been a delight. She has made efforts to make sure I'm comfortable and gaining confidence during the lessons. She has been calm and assures me when I've made mistakes in a way that is confidence building. She has also been available in terms of communication if schedules change and has been pleasant when I reached out. I would highly recommend from the good experience I've had and will definitely recommend to others in need of driving lessons.

Experiencia fantástica: I just sent through my first of 5 kids at NE Driving. The instruction was excellent and it was fun to see him be excited about basically going to school! He never wanted to be late and enjoyed the experience.

Experiencia fantástica: To Anon Ymous--This is Jacki. I am sorry your experience with me was so negative. I had no idea you were having trouble with the worksheets--usually I get the other complaint that they are too easy and some feel a waste of time for that reason--I definitely would have helped you. I also did not realize I talked about my hill "too much." I have lived on that hill for more than 50 years--a lot has happened on those roads. Many kids like to hear real things that happen over just reading the book and answering the questions. I never have the kids read silently and do the questions. Maybe that would have worked better for you. I try to tell applicable stories for the same reason---Driver's Ed can be rather boring if you stick to just book and test formats. Out of the last 150 students I have taught recently, only 3 have failed the test. You were not one of them. I am glad that in spite of my inadequacies, you were able to get the info you needed in order to pass the test and get your permit. Again, I am sorry you did not enjoy your experience, I wish you had expressed your difficulties prior, but thank you for the input now. I am teaching a new class--- I have not mentioned my hill even once yet, and I am asking if anyone has questions or if I can clarify anything before we move on for everything we do. Thank you for the tips. I hope you remain a safe driver all of your days. J
